Go to the Insert menu & select Section. This will add a new, blank page.

    Si vous avez utilisé la commande Save As Template depuis Pages, il y a forcément un dossier
    iWork > Pages
    contenant Templates > My Templates
    comme il y a un dossier
    iWork > Numbers
    contenant Templates > My Templates
    Depuis le Finder, tapez cmd + f
    puis configurez la recherche comme sur cette recopie d'écran.
    puis lancez la recherche.
    Ainsi, vous allez trouver vos modèles personnalisés dans leur dossier.
    Chez moi, il y en a une kyrielle en dehors des dossiers standards parce que je renomme wxcvb.template quasiment tous mes documents Pages et wxcvb.nmbtemplate à peu près tous mes documents Numbers.
    Ainsi, quand je travaille sur un document, je ne suis pas ralenti par Autosave.
    Désolé mais je ne répondrai plus avant demain.
    Pour moi il est temps de dormir.

  • Pages 5.1 - Always asks to add to template chooser

    I have templates created in folders from previous version. When i double click from folder to open it get asked to add to the template chooser or cancel, add to template chooser, yes great it goes there then i have to click again to open. If i then go to open this template again from the saved location it asks to add again, i do, and it has to replace the template now, i do, then i have to click to open again. If i click cancel during any of the process, yes its cancels. But i cannot simply open a template from a saved location without going in this procedure loop. How do i open a template from saved location, i want to simply double click to open?

            I followed your instructions and was able to save a template to a foulder on the desktop.  However, the template on in the desktop foulder only opens after it is saved to the chooser, and that means giving a new name to the template in the chooser.  This seem to be a needless circle, a duplication of effort and a problem the new Pages 5.1.  Perhaps it will be corrected in the future.  Thank you for your response - RI531

    Hi to everyone.
    I have a problem after i updated Pages to the new one (5.0 (1465)). I'm not able to add a template page (for exemple chapter page or photo page or so on), while i'm writing my document. How can i do it ?
    (For example with Keynote i have only to click on "+" in the left bottom corner, and i can choose wich slide i want).
    Can someone help me please ? I need that for my thesis.

    Here is soem of the text you get from the search add custom template.
    Save a document as a template
    Choose File > Save as Template (the File menu is at the top of your computer screen).
    Click one of the options:
    Add to Template Chooser: Type a name for the template, then press Return. Your template appears in the My Templates category in the template chooser.
    Save As: Type a name for the template, then choose where you want to save it.

    Hi! So in school, I am required to write up a newspaper and conveniently I have a Late 2013 Retina 13.3" Macbook Pro. After playing around with the pages Newsletter templates, I decided to go with the first option. However I could not find any option or tools to add a new template page. My teacher in school seems to have done it by going to Sections and then selecting various template pages. It seems as if this feature was removed in the new Yosemite update for Pages. Is there an alternative or another option for me to get additional template pages? Thanks!

    It seems you would like to know how to save a document you've created as a Pages template. You can do this easily by following the steps in this article:
    Pages for Mac 5.0: Add custom templates
    If you create a document that you want to use again as a model for other documents, you can save it as a template. Creating your own template can be as simple as adding your company logo to an existing template, or you can design a completely unique template. 
    You can add your custom template to the template chooser, or save it as a file to share with others or to install and use on your iOS device. 
    You can install a custom template from an email attachment, iTunes, a WebDAV server, or other apps. If you create a custom template on your Mac, you can save it to iCloud. 
    Save a document as a template
    Choose File > Save as Template (the File menu is at the top of your computer screen).
    Click one of the options:
    Add to Template Chooser: Type a name for the template, then press Return. Your template appears in the My Templates category in the template chooser. 
    Save As: Type a name for the template, then choose where you want to save it. 
    If you save it to iCloud, the next time you open Pages on your iOS device, the template appears as a downloadable file in the document manager. 
    If you save a template to a web server or upload it to webmail, it must have the file extension .template.zip to install it and use it in Pages on your iOS device.

    if you mean New item in Visual Studio, then check it under general Web category. User controls are basic ASP.Net functionalities, not Sharepoint-specific. If it is not there, you may use the following trick:
    1. Create new project in other VS instance using "ASP.Net Empty Web Application" template
    2. Add new user control there (in this project type it should exist for sure under Web category. Called "Web User Control")
    3. Copy all user control's files to the folder of your Sharepoint project (ascx, ascx.cs, ascx.designer.cs)
    4. In VS instance with Sharepoint project add existing items: all copied user control files. They should be grouped under ascx file automatically after that

    you need to add reference to Microsoft.SharePoint.Taxonomy.dll assembly, which is located in the GAC (assume that you have installed Sharepoint on your dev env)

      5. then i deploy the solution to my site collection. and now i can see the new solution inside the farm solution under central administration.
    but not sure if these are all the required steps to register the user control or still i need to do extra steps ?

  • Adding a template style page in Pages 5

    Can anyone help me please?
    I have upgraded to Pages 5.0 and not only are there far fewer interesting templates for me to start working from (I am looking particularly in the Newsletters section) but I am also having a problem adding template styled pages to a new project.
    Previously I simply clicked on Insert > Pages in the menu and then selected the layout. I can't seem to find how to do this in 5.0 - all I can do is create a blank section.
    I'm sure I must be missing something really obvious but I can't figure out what it is!

    PS is there any way to upgrade to Pages 5.0 but not lose the decent (interesting) templates? I'm a school teacher and the kids love having interesting templates to start with - these new ones are terrible!

    The lack of page/section styles was one of the first features I noticed missing in Pages 5.0. This is really disappointing for me as I've created a number of my own document templates and have made extensive use of page/section styles.
    On one hand I can understand why Apple may have removed this feature. It is rather an anomaly among its peers. Microsoft Word does not use page/section styles and to some users it could be a bit of a confusing  feature in Pages. I know for me it was somewhat confusing at first. I was used to the MS Word way of doing things and I was wondering how these section style templates differed from me just setting my own section style. But then I figured out that it is like a slide template in Keynote. It is simply a template and can be used as a shortcut to setup a new document section in a standard style. Since figuring out how to use the page/section styles, it has been awesome and has been one of the key reasons I like Pages better than Word and why I switched completely from Word to Pages.
    For now, I guess I will have to figure out how to work without it which will basically mean that I will have to go back to the old manual method of just copying and pasting section styles. It will take longer to add new sections with identical styles to a document and will be more buggy. It is likely that I will not always get it exactly correctly which will result in consistency issues in my documents. As well, the inability to copy and paste whole pages/sections from the page thumbnails will make this process take even longer and be even more buggy. But ultimately it is doable.
    I can only hope that the page/section templates is a feature that Apple will bring back very soon. I wish someone from Apple would at least let us know if this feature will be making its way back in or if it is gone for good. Accordingly, we could move on or plan for its return.

    At the top of this page, click on your name or avatar to go to your profile page. You need to have more than one product listed in My Products and the one you need to edit can't be set as the default. So, add a product if you only have one & set this second as default. Then back to your profile page where you can edit the settings, including your OS version. Then back again to set this one as default. This is just one of many, many things that the current forum software makes very difficult. I have to go "hunting" for the setting each time, it's that difficult. If I were invited to test changes or a new version, this is one thing I'd mention.

  • Adding a page from custom Templates in Pages 5

    I know a lot of features have been removed, but this HAS to be my own operator error.
    Currently using Pages 5.1 on all of my macs 10.9.2
    I build multi page templates in pages. For example: a cover page, a storyboard page, a notes page, looks page and an end page.
    I used to save a custom template that consisted of a layout for each page, then, under 'sections' I could add multiples of any page.
    I usually need mroe than one storyboard page, multiple notes pages, and could easily do this.
    I cannot figure out how to add additional preconfigured pages as I need them.
    I know I can no longer duplicate a page (workaround is grouping everythin on a page, copy and paste to a blank page... seriously)
    And the only thing I can figure is to make a new template with 40 of each custom page layout, so I have multiple custom
    I have to be missing the new method to do this.

    Removed by Apple along with 100 other fetaures.
    Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
    Use that instead.
    Rate/review Pages 5 in the App Store if you are unhappy.

    You will need to create a Numbers template on your Mac, and then transfer it to your iPad.
    You can create your own custom templates in Numbers for Mac and use them in Numbers on your iOS device. To install a custom template on your iOS device, first save your template to iCloud, iTunes, or a WebDAV server, or send it as an email attachment.

    Its an interesting scenario .Anyways to add an email link to the confirm.jsp all you need to do is to add the below javascript and html to confirm.jsp

    Adding these lines will you a link for email on confirm.jsp on clicking on which you will get a new window with the Cc and all
    the required fields and it is used for sending the mails. But your issue for sending the item data from confirm page is still left.
    I will also try to find out the easiest way to send this data.

    Need to do multiple pages of the same template in Pages. Template is set up with columns containing a graphic box to the left and a text box to the right. How do I add additional pages .. pg 2, pg 3 etc?

    Is this a template you've created? You can "capture" pages to reuse in your own templates, just like the built-in templates do. Try a search of Pages Help for Reusing Sections or see this user tip. It was written for Pages 1/iWork '05, but is more detailed that the Help description.
