Add a video clip (not in camera roll) to iphoto journal?

Hi.
I am creating a photo journal album using iphoto on ipad.
I would like to add a movie clip filmed by iphone.
I made an album that includes all the photos and a movie clip in icloud (photo stream), and I can see photos and the movie clip on ipad , however, when I tried to add the movie clip in iphoto from edit-add-photos menu, I can't find the movie clip in the list.
My guess is that you can add any photos taken by any devices through icloud, or photo galleries, but somehow it doens't accept any movie clips filmed by other devices (has to be filmed and saved in camera roll of the same device that you are making the photo journal)?
I can see other movie clips filmed by the ipad in the edit-add-photos menu.
Are there any way to add my movie clip filmed by iphone and add to journal?
Or, are there any way to move my movie clip filmed by iphone to the camera roll in ipad?

Thanks for the great tip how to download a photo from photo stream to camera roll on different devices.
However, when I select a movie clip saved in "shared stream", the box with arrow you mentioned disappears (I tried several movie clips from several "shared stream"s, and the results are the same).
To solve my problem, I guess I have to remake a new web journal on iphoto on the same device the movie clip is saved( in camera roll).
This is my understanding of iphoto, (but if I am wrong, please let me know)
When you make a web journal on iphoto (on ipad, iphone, etc),
1. You can't add a movie clip saved in other devices to a web journal.
2. You can't edit the same web journal on other devices (you can view web journal on other devices, but not edit).
3. Mac version iphoto dosen't have a menu to make a web journal.
It's easier to make a web journals on ipad or mac, but who wants to make a movie clip with ipad??

So I re did all my photo and video files and deleted everything fro
My camera roll. All photos and videos were moved into folders on my pc and then synced back to my phone. All my videos did not sync back. The videos were Placed in folders with pictures on computer but they didn't sync in the folders on my phone. Any ideas how to get videos back onto phone?

Photos and videos transferred from your computer are not and cannot be stored in the Camera Roll.
Do you have Include Videos selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes?

HT201302 my pictures and videos are not in camera roll. The camera works but the pictures on not on camera roll.

If your pictures and video are not on the camera roll, I do not think your iPhone is taking pictures and video.
You have already tried resetting and restarting your device. Next, check whether your camera has been disabled in Settings > General > Restrictions > Camera. Where are the videos?
If WhatsApp supports sending videos from the Camera Roll only and that is your only option, that is it.

Why does my camera roll use 10GB of my space, when I only have 508 photo's and video's on my camera roll?

I have some problems with the space on my Iphone 4s. I always get a message that says that I can't rec or can't take another picture because I don't have enough space on my phone. When I go to settings and check, my photo's and video's use almost 10GB (9,8GB). I have 407 pictures and 101 video's (not very long videos, more like short but many). In total i have 508 photo's and video's in my camera roll. My friends have like over a thousand pictures and video's, but they haven't used like 10GB of their space. So why does my 508 picutures and videos use som much more space??

Videos add up fast. A 30 second video on a 4S could easily be 85 MB. 101 of these would be almost 8.6 GB. Add 407 photos at 3 MB each and you reach 9.8 GB.
I would suggest you import some of these to your computer (especially some of the vidoes) and delete them from your phone, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

You can import some very short video clips into Photoshop and make gifs. I can import short (10 second or so) .mvi video clips I've taken with my point and shoot camera.
Use File ->Import->Video Frames to Layers
CS3 doesn't recognize .mvi files until you enter *.* in the box, hit load, then find the file you want.
After the file has been loaded, go to Windows, and check Animation.
After the Animation bar loads, go to the right side arrow, check Make Frames from Layers.
Then Save for Web and Devices, and you've got your gif.
I find it much easier to use the separate software.

In an iPhoto slideshow, I want to add a video clip. If I select cut then I need to click paste but that option does not come up.

First just drag the clip and drop it onto the slideshow title in the left hand pane. The you can postiion it where you want in the slideshow itself.

getting iphone 5 today. have 3G. just realized that my photos in camera roll r not being synced. The pictures or signs in the photo library album that somehow downloaded on my phone r being synced but the 500 pictures and videos I have in camera roll are not. Those r the ones I do not want to lose. Under devices it only allows u to access stuff on your computer not on your phone. How do I gain access to camera roll to get it to sync to my laptop. I am having the same problem. But in Image Capture my iPhone (iPhone 4 ios 5) will no longer show up as a device. It does not show up as a device in finder either. It does show up in iTunes, though. In anticipation of icloud and in an attempt to avoid having duplicate photos in my iPhoto (because I already had this problem syncing with iPhoto through USB), I deleted all my iPhone photos (and videos) off of my Macbook while keeping them on my iPhone; only to find out that iCloud will only sync new photos that I take after setting up iCloud. So now I have no way of getting the photos and videos that I had captured prior to ios 5 and iCloud back on my Macbook.

The chronology is however respected in the collection area.

Unfortunately this is not something which can be changed, I believe this was to accommodate the iPad display, multiple layers, and to be email friendly.

The only way to delete photos NOT in the camera roll is to sync the phone with those photos deselcted.
@iLikeCheesyStuff: The photo stream photos are in the camera roll as well. The OP is referring to photos synced to his phone, which can't be deleted directly on the phone.

How are you trying to post the picture ? On both Safari and in the Facebook app I can select photos which are in other albums in the Photos app - if using the Facebook then tapping 'Camera Roll' at the top of the photo selection window lets me select a different album

Open multitasking by double tapping the home button (at the bottom), a row of apps you've recently used should appear, tap and hold the photos app until it wiggles and displays an x, tap the x to close and then reopen the camera roll app. Let me know if it works. It's odd and frustrating, I know.

The photos not in the camera roll were synched from another computer. They are not of the original quality as the photos on that old computer; some may be of such poor resolution that they may not even be fit for printing. Nonetheless, the only way to get them off your computer is to mail them to yourself. You can search the internet for some sort of photo extractor, but it won't be an Apple product and we can't help you with that on this forum.
