Add Address in Self Service

I cannot add adress through Employee Self-Service, however addresses added from Core HR are reflecting here. Can anyone provide me with a solution?

There should be an "Add" button in the Main address and Other address sections in Personal Information function in Employee Self Service. Click on that button to add addresses.
If you cannot see those buttons then check if there are any personalizations enabled to hide the add button. You can also check the seeded employee self service responsibility to check if the add button is enabled for address.

    Thanks
    Nitin Singh

    Hi Nitin
We are also migrating on R12.0.4
I tested employment history page to add in employee self service and it worked. The exact function details are as follows.
Name Irc Apl Qualification & Experience Page
    Code IRC_APL_QUALIFY_DETS_PAGE
Description My Account Qualification & Experience Page
    Type JSP
    Maintenance Mode Support NONE
    Context Dependence RESP
    HTML Call OA.jsp?page=/oracle/apps/irc/candidateSelfService/webui/AplQualifyDetsPG&akRegionApplicationId=821&OASF=IRC_APL_QUALIFY_DETS_LINK
    Secured N
    Encrypt Parameters N
    Host Name
    Agent Name
    Icon
    Object Name
    Parameters OAFunc=IRC_APL_QUALIFY_DETS_PAGE
    Region Code
    Region Application Name
Try with this function and see if you are still getting the error. If it works then you can personalize this page for your responsibility to show only previous employers.

  • Self Service HR addresses

    Hello all,
We want to change the Self Service HR address page. Seeded, it is driven off of the City. An LOV is provided for the user to match. Short story, it is cumbersome, and not all the fields that are required, are marked as such (though there is a bug in dev to address this; not working yet).
My question is. We want to drive address entry from the zip code; have the user enter their zip, the LOV give city-state-county based on that, then have all 4 fields updated based on users response.
Has anyone attempted this? If so, can you give details, as to where to start and how to proceed?

  • Main Address in HRMS not showing in Employee Self Service

    Hi
The Main Address (primary address) that has been captured in core HR is not pulling through to the employees personal information screen in Employee Self Service. Any ideas as to what the problem could be?
    Thanks in advance

According to MetaLink note 278417.1 the cause is that the Addresses were not properly loaded, probably missing out the "Country" field. Addresses without Country field will not show up in SSHR.
    "Fix
In the PER_ADDRESSES table if 2 records are compared, i.e one entered for a new address and one for the record loaded thru APIs, then it will be seen that the Country is missing in the record that came thru API.
Customers will need to correct their data in order for the Addresses to appear in SSHR.
Customers can write an update script to update the Country (We do not support this) or update the Country field using the APIs or reload their addresses using API's."

  • Provide self-service user with information about his/her VM? IP address at a minimum?

Just setup a private cloud using VMM 2012 Sp1 as well as app controller 2012 SP1 fresh installs on Server 2012.  Since it's a lab, app con is installed on VMM server.
I have the cloud and templates and service templates and self service working as well as an IP pool handing out IPs.  I was wondering if there was a relatively simple way to provide at least the IP address of the self-service provisioned VM to the self-service
user who requested it, preferably through the app con site somehow.
    There's 2 reasons behind this:
    1.  I'd like to avoid having them console in, get the IP, and then log out and RDP in.  I'd prefer they just RDP directly to the IP the first time and go about their day.
    2.  Our DNS is not MS and does not allow auto registering, so connecting via RDP through the app controller site doesn't work because the FQDN is not reachable after VM is provisioned.
Any way to get that info easily to the user?

    Hi C. Baum,
App Controller doesn't have the ability to provide the IP address of virtual machines.
My recommendation is to have the name of the virtual machine register in DNS -- its much easier for most people to deal with hostnames rather than IP addresses.
    Kind Regards,
    Richard

  • Need to Apply validation to Address Line1 in Self Service HR

    Hi all,
Currently user is able to enter any no. of characters in Address Line1 through Self Service HR (ie. web). We would like to resctrict user to enter not more than 20 Chars in Address Line1.
Could anyone please let me know whats the best method to have this done.
    Thanks,
    Nagesh

    Hi Nagesh,
Employee personal address comes from the DFF called "Personal Address Information" Select the Localization Address which you are using from Context Field Value, select the segment and check under Address Line one and set the value set to 20 Characters (Mandator).
Note: this does not require any personalization.
    I hope this helps you.

  • How to add the Self-Service Administrator role...please guide

    Hello All,
Am new in ESS/MSS. Have just uploaded the ESS/MSS business package on EP6 SP15.
Now as per the notes given on help.sap.com site on Floor Plan Manager, I need to addin a Self-Service Administrator role to use FPM.
    Where can I find this......
    Please guide.....
    Awaiting Reply.
    Thanks & Warm Regards,

    Hello All,
    Am working on <b>EP 6 SP15 Sneak Preview</b>.
I need to customise Web Dynpro components of MSS...namely PCR, using Web Dynpro for Java.
Am in the process of reading the Floor Plan Manager concept from help.sap.com site...
    Have 2 queries now:
    1. If I use Self-Service Administrator, the business packages I need are :
    - Business Package for Self Service Administraor
    - Business Package for Common Parts....
but these both are for NW2004s...am using NW2004. I did not find any such pacges for NW2004....
    Any inputs?
    2. link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/b4/139525380149a49c8402e22700e4ba/frameset.htm says that:
Implicitly, by creating a configuration component that implements the interface IXSSAppConf. This is the only possibility for self-service applications in SAP ERP 2004 and above.
Now I need to update the UI of PCR, so how can I do it...any hints....
    Please guide....
    Awaiting Reply.

  • Customizing Self Service HR Page

    Hi all,
I want to add validation to one of the fields on the personal information page in self service HR.
I tried to look for the page in about this page and got the page in my local PC.
When I try to run it, it says page is not runnable as AM required Definition is set to yes.
I want to know how to run the page from my local machine and how can i proceed with my customization of adding validation on a field in the same page.
How do we customize the AKRegions?
    Thanks

    Hi,
If I cannot use PPR on the address field(DFF) then may be i can do the validation in AM or Controller.
However I would definitely like to know the process of customizing a AKRegion.
What I mean to say is.
If it is a plain OA page then I can get the PG or RN from MDS and the respective java files also from java_top.
but how will i know which page or region i need to customize if it is a AKRegion.
    OA.jsp?akRegionCode=HR_CREATE_PROCESS_TOP_SS&akRegionApplicationId=800&OAFunc=HR_PERINFO_SS
what is an akRegioncode is it something similar like an OAF page?
Where Can I find some documentation to read on AkRegions.
    Please Help
    Thanks.

  • Default Value in a DFF is not getting populated in Self Service Page

I had an issue in Self Service Page.
In the SS page there is hidden mandatory field in DFF segment, which should get populated with a default select statement.
But this field is not getting populated with the default values.
But this is working fine in Forms , i.e the default value is populated in forms.
Why the default value is not populated in Self Service Pages?
For Eg: If there is a DFF "SAMPLE_DFF" which has some context with segment
    Context Code : GB_CODE
    Segment : "Enter the Group"
and this segment is made required and defaulted with a select stmt (select stmt returns 'XXXXX')
In forms if am not entering any value, then its defaulted to 'XXXXX'.
But in Self Service this is not happening.
    Can anybody help me out...

Actually, I have narrowed down the problem. It is not quite the same.
DFF is Receivables, Address Information (Release 12). We have 2 attributes defined and we want the default value of the 2nd to be dependent on what the user selects in the 1st.
So the default value of the 2nd is defined as a SQL Statement, select :$FLEX$.INDUSTRY_CODE from dual (where INDUSTRY_CODE is the value set name from the 1st).
We know the syntax is correct because if we actually hardcode a default value in the 1st attribute (select 'BLAH' from dual), then we do see that the default value for the 2nd attribute fills in with BLAH as well. However, we do not want that. We want the user to choose a value for the 1st attribute from the LOV, and then have the 2nd attribute default to that same value. This is the part that does not seem to work in OAF, but definitely used to work in Forms.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks much!

  • Open UI error no self service but only monitoring

    hi,
i meet a problem when i open idm url, there is only monitoring tab but not self service. i guess i forgot some thingss when installing. my intall environment is following:
    windows2008
    SQL 2005 database
jdbc driver 1.1 for sql 2005
    sap nw 7.01 sp3
    sap idm 7.1 sp5
    jre 1.5
    my install steps as follow:
    1. install sql 2005 and sql native client.
    2. install nw 7.01 sp3
    3. install jdbc
    4. install jco
    5. update environment value class path(add JDBC .jar) and java home (add jre path and jvm path which appears after IC installation)
    6. intall nw idm 7.1 ic /runtime
    7. configure idm user interface

I think the user that you are using doesn't have the proper privileges. You should create a user in the Enterprise People Store with Manager Privileges and then use this user to log on to SAP IDM. Then you should be able to see all the other tabs.
Alternatively you can use a ToIdentityStore pass to assign your user the  privileges for the different tabs.
    Best regards
    Holger
