Add animation logo to project

Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie in AE, today I downloaded a project name Head in the clouds (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8ftOwjdmJ8), it show a camera go through clouds with 3 layer of text, the camera had been set move slowly each time a text layer appear and then go through the text. I removed all text layer and replace with my logo, but the timing is not right, I replace my logo with the first text layer (The Sixth Aviator), but my logo appear at the 1st second, I try to move my logo timeline to where camera slow down, but my logo disappear. The weird is the first text layer timeline row start at the 1st second, but it appear at about 3s later, perfect timing with the camera. So how can I fix it? All I want is to replace text layer "The Sixth Aviator" with my logo, and the same animation. Please help, thank you!

You need to start over. When you have the template open select the Sixth Aviator layer in the timeline. Then select your logo in the project panel and hold down the Alt/Option key and click and drag the logo from the project panel to the timeline.
There you go, you've replaced the layer.
If you're still lost you have to go through the basics. AE is not a program that you can simply start using without training. You've got to learn how it works before you can make it work. Links to getting started materials are on the home page and there are a bunch of resources available with a getting started with AE Google search.

Can I add animated GIFs to my project and Publish as HTML5?

I've created several projects with Adobe Captivate 7 and have added animated GIFs to my project. When I publish, the GIF animations are only animated when played as SWF. When I play the HTML5 version the GIFs only show the first frame.
Is there a way for me to publish my Adobe Captivate project so that the GIFs are animated when viewing the HTML5 output?

Thank you for your reply. I have tried both draging-and-dropping the animation into the project as well as using the insert-> Animation menu option, but neither result in and animated GIF being displayed when the project is on the web and being viewed as an HTML5.
I should note that the GIF IS animated when I view the project on my computer after publishing, but not when the project is displayed on my website. I publish the project with both GIF and SWF checked and Chrome displays the animated GIF but Firefox and Safari do not.
When you say to check the HTML5 output, do you mean when I'm publishing the project as a whole or is there that option somewhere when I'm inserting the GIF?

Exporting Animated logo from AE cs6 into Premiere cs6

I have an animated logo that I would like to import into premiere cs6. When I exported it into premiere, it only imported the picture, not the background and animation along with the picture. What can I do export the logo in its entirety?

If your export does not show everything in your composition then you are looking at the wrong view in AE or you have set elements in your composition as guide layers. The only thing exported is the Active Camera view. There are also many ways to bring an AE animation into Premiere Pro. You can add the .aep to PPro and load the comp into the sequence, You can use Dynamic Link from inside the sequence to replace footage, or you can render to any one of about 10,000 different formats for use in PPro, only a very few of which are suitable for a production workflow. You have given us nothing to go on to solve your problem. If checking for guide layers and making sure that you created your comp using the Active camera view does not solve your problem then we need to know everything that is going on in your comp and exactly what your workflow is.

Don't worry! Don't worry everyone I worked it out. Actually I just read the Mail support page segment on adding a signature. You just add a signature as usual but when you add the text, you can drag and adrop a pic/logo into that box. Ah, duh!

There is no out of the box configuration available to add columns to NPD action items. As always we welcome enhancement requests.

I do not have iMovie, so I can't try this!
Run iTunes with your iPad connected to the computer, either by the USB cable or by WiFi. Select the iPad under DEVICES in iTunes. Click on Apps at the top of the window and scroll down to File Sharing. If iMovie appears there, select it. The Documents window to the right is where you transfer files to (Add) and from (Save To) the iPad.

How to add a custom web project to creator?

I am using Creator EA2. I want to add a custom web project, which is created based on standard web project, to Creator. I wonder if it is possible by creating a jar and put it into a directory or I should develop a plugin with layout description files, templates?

If your struts-enabled project is already compatible with Creator (i.e. you can open it in the IDE) you can get close to what you way using the project template facility available in EA2.
Select Tools->Project Template Manager. From the template manager dialog, click the Add... button and browse to your struts project. The project should appear under the My Templates node in the dialog. Close the dialog and bring up the New Project Wizard. You should see a new project category called My Templates which should contain an entry to your custom project. You can now select this project and proceed through the wizard which will actually clone the project for you as if it were a custom project type.

How to add a Captivate 5 Project into RH for Word?

I have to add a captivate simulation project into my Help project, and was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible. I searched Captivate's help, and they say you can with RH HTML, but I am currently using:
1. RH for Word Build 8.0.0.203
2. Captivate 5.0.0.596
The Help project is a Single Source Layout with WinHelp 2000 primary layout. Any ideas?

Add a logo to the header definition of an Interactive Report

Hi Folks.
Using Apex 3.1 and BI Publisher.
I am enabling an Interactive Report region to output to PDF & Excel.
Has anyone managed to add a logo to the Header/footer definition in the Print Attributes section?
Is it possible? The region definition does not understand simple HTML syntax.
If anyone would let me know if a) They've done it or b) It ain't possible that would be great.

Just reading through this thread. So perhaps a few comments might be helpful:
- Interactive report regions do currently not support Report Layouts, you're limited to the built-in generic layout and won't be able to include images
- You can add a button to your interactive report region page which could initiate the download of a report query, when doing this, you would get the result set of your report query not the interactive report region, so even if the queries are the same, you might have different filters applied to your interactive report
- You can in fact include static images in your RTF report layouts using the BI Publisher Desktop Word Plug-In and MS Word, so you can have logos etc in your PDF documents. But report layouts currently only work with report queries and classic report regions
- You can also include dynamic images in your PDF, e.g. based on images stored in a BLOB column, there's currently a character escaping issue causing some trouble with this, which will be fixed in 3.1.1, more on that once 3.1.1 is out (soon)
- the print server overwrite is designed to point to a different print server than the one configured for your APEX instance, not to point to a specific report. So if your instance has BI Publisher configured, but for a specific report you want to do some special rendering using your own code, you can write e.g. a JSP, Servlet, etc that's doing the rendering, and then point yout report to that URL

Add an image to any page in the section, then drag it where you want it to appear on each page.
Reduce the opacity using the slider in the Style pane of the Format inspector to change the object’s transparency.
Choose Arrange > Section Masters > Move Object to Section Master (from the Arrange menu at the top of your computer screen).

Is it possible to add a logo layer to an H264 video

I just found out the following Adobe FAQ :

Unfortunately, fading out at the end and fading in at the beginning does not create a seamless loop, since there are a few moments when the clip alpha is 0% and everything is completely black.This might be ok for some situations. But for creating a seamless loop, I need to have something, well, more seamless.
Actually, I think I may have come up with a possible workaround to simulate a true seamless loop of an embedded video (at least get closer to it) by placing a still image (which has been converted into a movie clip) of the first frame on a new layer at the last frame, and then copying that keyframe and pasting it about 25 frames before the end, then alpha fading from the first keyframe to the final frame.
It is not perfect, but it's something.
Perhaps someone else might have a better solution?

Using imovie error message when trying to add text to my project

When I try to create a project in imovie everything is working fine. When I try to add text to my project I click on the T to add text and the program shuts down.
Do I need to re- install something again?? any suggestions??

Even though David's answer is for Final Cut Express, the same answer should apply for FCP X only you would need to place the "track" ... let's say clip ... above the clip it is to overlay. Thus it can either be a storyline or a connected clip but it should reside above the primary storyline assumming that is where the video is you want your logo to overlay. As David points out, the type of graphic file should be one that allows the transparent background feature such as a PNG or PSD, etc. Of course, if your logo has a solid box background, you may be able to simply scale it down and position it to the right place and overlay it over your other video clip using the method described above. Hope this helps.
