Add auto-save to SCRIPT, REPORT and VIEW
I was fiddling with some DIADem Scripts and manage to crash DIADem twice, unfortunatly my VIEW, REPORTS and SCRIPTS weren't auto-saved.
That is kinda bad, so please add an autosave option.

While the autosave function would certainly help if there is a crash in DIAdem, I think a better solution is to not have DIAdem crash in the first place.
Could you please provide some additional information to help us identify the circumstances of the crash?
1. Version of DIAdem you were using when crashes occured
2. Operating system used
3. Processor and RAM available on the system
4. Short description of what you were doing when DIAdem crashed.
The more information we have, the more likely it is that we can identify the reason for the crash and fix this.

I've been using numbers for iPad and I accidentally deleted a column. And the auto-save feature saved that and now I can't undo it. Does iCloud storage have backups of saved files from like 10 minutes ago? I have numbers synced to iCloud.
I tried to undo it but the app crashed.
I am hoping there's like a previously saved version of my file in iCloud somewhere.No, iOS does not do short term incremental back ups to iCloud such as you get with Time Capsule.It backs up when you do soo manually, or if set properly, when the device is plugged in and connected to WiFi. Auto-save a) crashes AE and b) will not turn off via preferences
I seem to be in an endless loop of AE starting, auto-saving, and crashing.
I reported a bug earlier of AE crashing if auto-save begins during a Warp Track. I thought I could defeat this behavior by turning off auto-save in preferences, but, even with that (the save box is unchecked), auto save starts within a minute of opening a project, and freezes AE (staying at 0% Completed indefinitely).
I've deleted AE preferences, verified that auto-save is off, and the problem continues.
Any suggestions of how to defeat this would be very welcome. Thanks!Caught in the act. After restarting, fixing permissions, reverting to a early (pre-tracking) version of the project, and verifying that auto-save is still turned off, AE tried to auto-save during a track (this time the stabilize phase) and froze.
One possible new detail - it only attempts to auto-save when the tracking footage window is in the foreground. Is it possible that AE auto-save settings do not affect the tracker when it is in the foreground? I worked several minutes without interruption in another comp before returning to see the track, and apparently triggering the auto-save somehow.

So, whenevr you will click Insertrow button it will be triggered in your User Command and then just Append the blank line in your Final Internal Table.
And Refresh Icon will be there by default...
To Trigger it You have to write rs_selfield-refresh = 'X'

Crystal Reports and Viewer using Parameters
I am using Crystal Reports 2008 to create a simple purchase order report from our Sap system.
I have created a parameter that is a static date value for people to enter when they launch the report.
When I refresh the data in Crystal Reports 2008 I receive a prompt asking for the date to be entered.
However when I run this saved report in the Crystal Reports viewer it does not prompt for a date to be entered and the Change button is greyed out.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks for your assistance, I have tried this approach and when I open the report in the Viewer it reports an error. "No saved data in this report".
I have then ran the same report in an older version of the viewer (In help about it says Pinnacle) and the report asks for the date range to be entered.
The problem seems to be with the Crystal Reports Viewer and not the report.
The Viewer is version 12.2.0.r325
Can you advise?

One simple method that you can use is to change the channel associated with a particular curve number. Below is a snippet of a sample script that shows the current names and positions of two curves on a graph in both the REPORT and VIEW panels. You can programmatically set the each curve to be any channel you wish, and thus you can "swap" their order in whatever manner you would like. Please let me know if this is what you are looking for.

ThenmozhiAssume you already have two columns SalesAmt1 and SalesAmt2, and you want to derive 3rd column say SalesAmt3 which would be the sum of SalesAmt1 and SalesAmt2.
For this, as I mentioned above pull SalesAmt1 and SalesAmt2 columns in Report. Now pull another column (say SalesAmt1) and open the fx. Clear the contents of fx. Now locate the columns button in the bottom of the fx. From Here, first select SalesAmt1 and + sign and the select SalesAmt2.
Now in this new column, the fx should look like SalesAmt1 + SalesAmt2.

Would a 347 MB file be slow? Auto save and auto type turn off?
I am doing an art inventory and add jpegs of the art. I don't resize them they range from 750k to 3MB. I guess if it is slowing the program down i should? It currently is 267 rows by about 18 columns.

The WebPart works fine in my local server and even on another development testing server. However, once deployed to the live server that has claims authentication it stops working and throws an error that says:
"Client found response content type of 'text/html; charset=utf-8', but expected 'text/xml'.
The request failed with the error message:

Based on the error message, it is related to the service account for reporting service.
If the Report Server service runs under a built-in account such as NetworkService, the Grant database access option in SharePoint Central Administration will not work correctly.
Configure the service account to run under a domain user account as follows:
1. Start the Reporting Services Configuration tool and connect to the report server.
2. On the Service Account page, click Use another account, enter a domain user account, and click Apply.
3. Click Web Service Identity, for Report Server, click New, type an application Restart the Report Server service.

Help - lost motherboard, auto save saved older script, newer script actually with older date.
Adobe story team:
I had a best script to date, on an older hard drive and the motherboard failed on my HP tower. The sony laptop has a more recent dated script, but not the one I want. How do I replace an "older" date script, one that I want for a newer script. I don't want the newer script, I want the older one that is on a "pulled" hard drive again, from a tower that failed.
Do I save the older file on an offline, using a new ID, new password, forever changed or what can I do?
I need a fairly quick response, timing is critical. HP tower is the problem.

thanksYou have it half right. the issue is the HP tower I had failed. The mother board failed, I pulled the hard drive which is windows 7, I have a sony laptop which is in 32 bit vista, I am not sure if the different versions will be an issue. can i take a file off the pulled hard drive and put it somewhere in a directory even with the different windows vista vs windows 7 if so which file should i copy on the pulled hard drive and where do i put it on the laptop, directory plus I will go back on online save it in the clouds and reformat the laptop and go to windows 7 then go back to adobe story and go from there. thank you for your quick attention in this matter.

I am not sure if I understand your problem correctly, but as far as I can make out you had been working on a script and then it got autosaved and now you wish to go back to the "older" script.
In order to do so you may visit your document's history through the View->History option. There you will see older versions of your document (if you had not turned off autoversioning). You may then open an older version of the document from the panel by double clicking on it. Once on an older version you will get to see the "Make Latest" option. Clicking on that will make the "older" state of your document your "current" state and then you may proceed to edit the document as usual.
I hope this is helpful to your situation. In case you face any issues in following the mentioned steps do let us know.

We have one report on which we forecast positions and send data to BPC. Next time when we open report we also see the old forecast data and we never new data. I was wondering, is there a way I can save the "Report Run date in BPC when we send data using script/procedure and next time when user pulled up the report we can show the "last time ran" date? This way user knows when the last time he/she ran the report. Otherwise he/she has to keep manual track of run date.

SAP BPC version 5.0Not sure what you are asking...
1) '' isn't the same thing as NULL. '' is an empty string.
2) The "0" simply set the format of the output string created by the ToText function.
When you use the ToText function the default output is to add a decimal followed by 2 places after the decimal...
For example:
IF {#DetailRTotal} = 22
The default of ToText({#DetailRTotal}) would be 22.00.
If you want to trim that down to just 22, you would change the formula to this...
ToText({#DetailRTotal}, "0")
The format is now set to display at least 1 whole number and no decimals.
In fact, if you want to clean up your formula... Re-write it like this...
RIGHT(ToText({#DetailRTotal}, "0000000"), 7)
This will force a 7 character minimum format in in the ToText function and the RIGHT(........, 7) will trim off any characters that exceed the 7 character limit.
So if {#DetailRTotal} = 22
RIGHT(ToText({#DetailRTotal}, "0000000"), 7) will yield 0000022
If {#DetailRTotal} = 123456789
RIGHT(ToText({#DetailRTotal}, "0000000"), 7) will yield 3456789

but we have other reports that come from other machines with different odbc connection
and this its not working when opens the report asks for credentials

Is there an app to create, save, edit and view Microsoft Office Documents on the iPad2?
I am currently enrolled in online classes and I have to have Microsoft Office to access Word, Excel, Powerpoint for the classes. I have a laptop and an iPad2 but do not have Microsoft Office on either. Rather than purchase it on windows, I wanted to see if there is an app to be able to Create a new document for Word, edit, save and view those as well. And for Powerpoint and Excel. We have Documents to Go Premium currently installed on the iPad but I can't figure out how to create a new document or even how to save or view a document I'm trying to access through the class online. I don't have the premium version but I do the regular version. to create a new document open the program and go into either your desktop or local files and there'll be alittle sheet of paper with a plus sign on it in the lower right corner. That makes a new document.
Dunno if it's still a glitch or not, but some reported not being able to type with a blue tooth keyboard in an empty document. The solution to that is to turn off hte bluetooth, type in a few letters with the onscreen, then to turn the bluetooth back on.
as to saving a document from online, that'd depend on what kind it is and how you can download. -
