Add catalog link in Describe Requirement

Hello,
We are in SRM 5 and we would like to add a link in Describe Requirement with a catalog of all of our material Group in order to select the good one.
Does somebody know if it is possible?

If the catalogue is already created and the OCI configured by the catalog team, you just have to connect the catalogue to the SRM application.
To do this, you have to create the call structure of the catalogue.
the call structure is the URL and the parameter you pass to call the catalogue and connect to it.
please refer to the help of the SRM configuration point :
SPRO->Supplier Relationship Management->SRM Server->Master Data->Define External Web Services (Catalogs, Vendor Lists etc.)
Extract from the help :
"In this step you define Web Services such as product catalogs or vendor lists that are to be available in SRM Server applications.
You have to create the dialog structure, that is, the data that is required for addressing the Web Service. Since this data is service-specific, you must contact the provider of the Web Service obtainthe data from them or get it from the Web Service documentation.

Hi Guys.

Is there an easy way to add an extra transaction/link to the basic screen of SRM? I am thinking the template

This is for example the first screen in my SRM, and I also need the function "Process Purchase order" to appear on this screen along with Go Shopping, Goods Receipt, Status etc.
Is the only way to do this by changing the web template through SE80?

Describe requirement - extra field?

Hi all.
SRM 4.0, server 5.0.
In the Describe Requirement function, is there any way to add the vendor field directly to the first screen instead of entering it in the next step in the shopping cart? I looked at the SAP notes regarding the customer specific fields that can be added, but I do not believe that Describe Requirement can be enhanced this way.

I don't recommend this approach in your case.
No issues as such in changing templates (For existing SAP provided functionalirty, hiding, dis-abling, etc of fields).
But in your case, you need to design the whole logic for this new custom field, search help, validation, etc yourself, which might become too complex in future.

Hide "Describe Requirement" link in SRM 7.0

Hello all, I am working in SRM 7.0 and I need to hide or delete "Describe Requirement" link that appears when I go to Shop section to create shopping cart.
Is there other way to do it that I don´t use BBP_SC_MODIFY_UI Badi?

Hi Rosa,
Did you check SPRO....SRM Server>Cross-Application Basic Settings>Extensions and Field Control (Personalization)
If it is there you can control the meta data from there.
Else you can enhance the WD Component to hide or delete the UI element.

Describe requirement

Hi,
I am in SRM 5.0 Extended Classic scenario.When i create a PO with describe requirement.I am not able to change region
in the PO,only storage location is changeable .But in limit order I can change the region.
Is it standard?

Excellent suggestion, thank you very much. We are running SRM 4.0, are you referring to BADI BBP_SC_MODIFY_UI? I am using this currently to hide the "describe requirement" link and I see I could also hide the "catalogs", but my question is how would I know that an item has been added to the cart? The badi does not contain the cart information, I'm assuming I would need to call a shopping cart get details function? Can you briefly expand on your thoughts for obtaining cart details.

How to add new links to a page

Hello Community
In Sharepoint 2013 Server can you create:
A Link in the left navigtion bar or Quick Launch
when clicked it can open a new page and on that page there is an “Add New” type of
button.
Then on that page you can add as many links as the page will allow, each
of those links can contain a url

To add a new link on the left nav:
You can go to site settings> navigation> add a link under "current navigation".
For the second requirement:
You can create a "links" list and add it to that second page. This way you can have that "Add Links" option and add links.

I am having a similar problem to the one described by this post here:

However, his resolution of changing web.config under wwwroot did not fix my issue.
Here is the situation on a recently upgraded SP2010.
1) Create a document library. Set the document template to "basic page"
2) give a user full control on the document library.
3) Go, under that users credentials, to the document library and create a new document.
4) Name the document whatever and hit create
5) a page is displayed which says the following: "Web Part Error:
A Web Part or Web Form Control on this Page cannot be displayed or imported. You don't have Add and Customize Pages permissions required to perform this action."
6) Become confused as giving someone "full control" on the library should obviously inherit the permissions to when they create a document and try and edit it.
If i give the user "full control" on the entire site (site actions -> site permissions), then the document pops open an editor which would allow you to add content to the basic page. Obviously, i do not want to give users full control to the
entire site :)
Giving the user "Add and Customize Pages" permissions on the entire SITE allows them to edit get the popup to edit the file, but this is not desireable either since then they could "Add, change, or delete HTML pages or Web Part pages,
and edit the Web site using a Windows SharePoint Services-compatible editor.". I do not want them to edit any web pages, i just want them to edit a particular lists webpage!
Things i have tried:
- Set the permissions on the "MSContentEditor" webpart to have the user have full control of the web part.
- set the permissions on ALL the web parts to have the user have full control (permissions on the web parts list)
- Edited web.config to add a line to mark "contentEditorWebPart" as safe, and then restarted IIS.
- Recreated test lists and was able to duplicate the behaviour
So I am wondering, is this a sharepoint bug or what? Should a web part not inherit the permissions of the list it is working in? if not, what are the exact items i need to set permissions on to get this webpart to display correctly?
Setting global site permissions is not an option.
Another workaround is to make a "wiki page library" which allows you to copy and paste text into a static page, and also edit that text. I can move all the content over to a "wiki page library", and thats what i probably will end up doing
in the end, but its annoying because there is alot of content to move, and it all has to be done by hand as you cannot upload documents to a wiki afaik. Also the wiki uses a different editor, its inline instead of a popup in IE which is probably why it is
working.
This may not be a bug and could be a simple permissions problem or something else, but i have been looking at this for hours and it doesnt make any sense to me.

Yes, you must have “Add and Customize Pages” permission
from site level to perform this action, the permission is not in list permission level.
You can add a new permission level which only includes “Add and Customize Pages” permission, and then create new SharePoint group with this permission
level.
Add the users into the SharePoint group and these users will get the “Add and Customize Pages” permission
from site level.(site permissions)
Additionally to add/edit page, the users also need the permission level “Contributor” in list permission level.
(you should know when you grant the full control to the users in list permission level, the users won’t get the permission from site level)

Add web link to a PDF in preview

Hello Mac World,
I have a MacBook Air OSX 10.9.2
I cannot seem to find how to add a working web-link to my PDF in preview. I have looked in Preview <tools>,<annotate> and there is no LINK button
Please help me to know if I need to buy a new program or if I'm just missing something here... Ps.. it's not in View either.

Open Preview, and check Help > Annotate a PDF. It describes such things as adding a text bubble, etc.

I happen to use a product called PDFPen which is available in the App Store to mark up PDFs.

I'm new to wiki work and I need your help!
I'm trying to add a link to twitter on the page, such that the user from the wiki will click on the the twitter icon and it will go to the twitter page so they can follow it.
This is what I tried:
uploaded the twitter icon as an attachment.
Tried inserting the attachment with a link with this:

PDF Portfolio - add web link to image

The layout for my pdf portfolio is an image where i want to have links to.html pages over the image. Is that possible?
The only links that I see you can drag on the image are images or .pdfs.

How do you add a link to a .swf file?

Is there a way to add a link/URL to a .swf file, without embedding into the original .fla file?
Is there any way to do that with just the .swf file alone, and without actually editing the .fla or re-creating it?

I won't be providing lessons, but here's the basics... to load the other swf file using AS3 you will use code like the following in the main timeline...

To add a link, you can create an invisible button and place whereever you like in the timeline, or if its a text link you can assign the link to the dynamic textfield via the properties panel. To create an invisible button just create a button symbol and draw a shape for it only in its Hit frame, leaving all other empty... that way you can still see the button to work with it on the stage, but it will be invisible when the file plays. You could also have the button include text or any other visual you desire if you don't need/want it to be invisible.
If you use the button approach, then you need to assign the button an instance name (I use "myBtn" for this example) Then you have to assign an event listener and event handler function for the button...

The reason I addChild for myBtn after I addChild the Loader is so that it will sit above the Loader. Without that line, the Loader would have the loaded swf sitting atop the button blocking access to it.
If you plan to use a Textfield instead of a button, then you don't need the event code but you still need the addChild() line to bring it in front. As mentioned already you can link it via the properties panel field for a link. To make life simple per these instructions just assign the textfield an instance name of myBtn.

How to add a Link to Edit User Account Info?

Hi, I want to add a link that will take me to the edit user page in oiddas, for the current logged in user. I would have thought that this would come standard in portal, as a smark link. But all I have is the Edit Portal Profile link (which allows me to set my default group, default home page, etc). I just want to create a link to edit the current user's account information (and reset their password). Does anyone know how to do that, am I overlooking something?

As Klaus1 posted, you can also use the Character Palette.
In the Palette, select View : Glyph > Glyph Catalog. You will find the , among others, there.
You can copy & paste, or position the cursor where you want the glyph in a document, highlight the glyph, and click on Insert with Font.
If the Character Palette is not in your Menubar, open System Preferences > International > Input Menu: Checkmark Show input menu in menubar.
To open the Palette, click on the Flag icon in the Menubar, and select Show Character Palette.

Describe Requirement with GL code

I have manage to coremod the program on describe requirement screen to allow for user to enter a GL code field. Upon "Add Shopping Cart", I used badi BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI to pass the custom gl code to the accounting section as follows:
LOOP AT et_account INTO wgs_etaccount.
    IF NOT wgs_item-g_l_acct IS INITIAL.
       wgs_etaccount-g_l_acct = wgs_item-g_l_acct.
       MODIFY et_account FROM wgs_etaccount.
    ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
My accounting data is populated correctly, but I received the gl code not found on top of the screen. When I drill down into the sc item level and perform a "check", the error is removed.
My question is how could I auto resolves the glcode upon "add shopping cart" button is pressed ?

Why did you activate badi to get default g/l account in SC? There is no need to do so. It is SRM standard funtionality to get g/l account in SC. You need to follow below steps-
1. Maintain values AS,CC, for attribute KNT in root org plan via PPOMA_BBP. Make CC as default.
2. Miantain g/l accounts in IMG, SPRO> SRM > SRM Server Cross application basic settings > account assignment > define g/l account for product category and account assignment category.

Problem with "describe requirement"-function by creating SC

Hi all,
I have a problem by creating a SC with the "describe requirement"-function. If I use this function a regular SC is created and a purchase order is also created with the stauts hold. I do not want to create a purchase order because if the shopper does not find the requested material in the catalog he/she should create a requistion which is sent to to responsible purchaser of the purchasing group. If anybody knows how the solve this problem please let me know.

Go to tcode SPRO>Supplier Relationship Management->Cross-Application Basic Settings>SAP Business Workflow-->Perform Task-Specific Customizing.
There Under SRM, go to the Specific Task and assgin agents based on the Roles so that only users with that role can get the Witem.
