Add cluster nodes from multiple machines to WebLogic domain in OEM 10.2.0.5

Hello,
I want to monitor a WebLogic domain in Oracle Enterprise Manager 10.2.0.5 with the following layout:
- Admin server on machine 1
- managed server, cluster node a on machine 2
- managed server, cluster node b on machine 3
How can I do this?
When I go to "Add Weblogic Domain", I can enter the admin adress (machine 1) and tick the box to say that there is an agent running on another host (where I specify machine 2). However I do not see a possibility to discover managed servers from machine 3.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks,
Nadja

  • Add WebLogic Domain to OEM Grid Control

On a host, say x, i have installed OEM grid Agent Version: 11.1.0.1.0. The host is listed on OEM grid control. On this host i have a weblogic domain version 10.3.3. Now i am trying to add this weblogic domain to OEM 11g grid control which is on a different host.
    It gives the following error
Error: Failed to connect to agent x:3872
Failed to connect to agent x:3872. Reason: java.net.UnknownHostException: x.
Only an agent 11.1 or later can be used for finding targets.
    How can i solve this?

bummer.. any response? I'm getting the same error now, and the documentation isn't all that clear gasp

  • URGENT : Add & Retrieve properties from Embedded LDAP in Weblogic 9.2

I am using Embedded LDAP WebLogic 9.2 and i followed the steps mentioned in the URL below.I have nt changed anything except Server URL which points to localhost:7001.
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wlp/docs92/users/appendixa.html#wp1055363
    Questions:
1)How to add additional attributes to embedded LDAP? (eg email, phone etc).
2)How to read those properties from embedded LDAP using WebLogic Portal API? Any code samples?
    Any help is appreaciated.

this problem is due to hard-coded user/pwd in installation scripts. Here are steps
    1) open file AIA_HOME/Infrastructure/install/wlscripts/FPWLCommonConfig.xml
    2) reach to target CreateStartupClasses
    3) there are three java tasks for com.oracle.oems.weblogic.AQJMSPasswordUtility
    4) in the task for oraesb, password is hardcoded as 'oraesb' in clear text.
    5) this should be password of 'ORAESB' database user.
    6) change this password value; and restart the installation.

  • Maintaining an iWeb site from multiple machines?

After a reasonable amount of research I am pretty sure the answer is "no" but here we go...
I have both a Laptop and a desktop and would like to be able to update and maintain my site from either machine. From the looks of things this isn't as easy as it looks. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

    James,
I already posted a "thank you" after the next post. I am anxious to try using the Flash Drive with my desktop and laptop.
I found out the hard way and lost a few entries. I had done my original blog and photo pages on my desktop. I copied all the "Domain" files onto the iDisk and then uploaded them on my laptop. (That took too long!) But everything was working fine. Then I added a couple more pages via the desktop, and forgot to put them on the laptop. I came to Ireland, with the laptop and published several new pages and lo and behold those couple of pages had gone missing!! I realized fairly quickly that I had overwritten those pages.
Before I go back to the US next week, I am going to load all the "Domain" files onto a flash drive and take it with me and transfer to my desktop. I have to leave the laptop here in Ireland with my husband.
Could you tell me exactly what I have to copy onto the flash drive? I had the instructions printed up somewhere, but they are not with me now!
    Now another question for you!
Obviously I have all my .mac information on both of my computers. I will be visiting my daughter's after I return. Can I plug my flash drive into her laptop (an Apple, of course) - log into my .mac account and then add and publish to my iWeb sites? Or are there some other adjustments I have to make to my daughter's iWeb before I can publish to my web site. We all have the same edition of iLife 06 - I had bought a family pack.
    Any advice?!! Thanks
    Geraldine

  • Read email from multiple machines

Hi, I have an intel macbook and imac and am looking for an efficient way to read email from both machines. I currently use POP and have to check both machines to be sure I don't miss any mail. Is there a simple way of making the imac an IMAP mail server and use the macbook to read only?

If you set up an IMAP email account, you can read, send and delete your mail on any mac, which has your IMAP account set up. Because all your mail data etc is stored on the server, not on your computer. Think of it as a form of "web mail" but accessible through your email program (Mail and Entourage)
    Cheers

    Hi Roshni,
I'm not familiar with this error....seems like issue with configuration of the machine?
    Some questions.
    1. Is there an SR already filed on this that I could look at to get more details?
    2. Which version of EM 12c are you using?
    3. Which version of WLS are you trying to clone...looks like 10.3.5? Does it have any FMW components deployed to it...looks like perhaps SOA by the name of the directory?
    4. Are you trying to clone from components saved in the software library or from a reference installation?
    5. Are you trying to clone the Middleware Home with binaries as well as domain configuration? Or are you just trying to clone domain configuration?
Once I get more details, I will look into and get back to you.
    Thanks,
    Nicole

  • Maps: How to generate a single node from multiple nodes

    Hi,
I have a problem while mapping. I have a large complex input schema through which I generate a flat file output. I have used map for creating the output. Below is the
    output and expected output.
    Output:
    E,651,120,3999,2013-12-01,2013-12-25,25,556,0.00,0
    E,652,120,3901,2013-12-01,2013-12-27,27,6176.25,0.00,0
    SR,17,120,2013-12-25,2022,122013,2,6732.25,1,01389399501
    SR,17,120,2013-12-27,2022,122013,2,6732.25,1,01389399501
    Expected Output:
    E,651,120,3999,2013-12-01,2013-12-25,25,556,0.00,0
    E,652,120,3901,2013-12-01,2013-12-27,27,6176.25,0.00,0

There should always be one SR node. The node which should be present should be the one which has maximum DATE. While mapping how can I check before hand that there will be more DATE values coming and then map only latest. It’s a complex mapping so I’m looking
    for a simple solution.
I want some conditions like while generating output SR Node, if there will be various SCR nodes in output then select the node with maximum date value in insert that in output.
    Thanks.

Thanks for the detailed response Aswin. It's very helpful. Please help in one more condition, sometimes there could be multiple SR with same Date. In that case SR is still repeating as all are equal so above maximun logic is creating n nodes. Eg:
    Output:
    E,651,120,3999,2013-12-01,2013-12-25,25,556,0.00,0
    E,652,120,3901,2013-12-01,2013-12-27,27,6176.25,0.00,0
    SR,218,504420120,2013-10-04,0451,102013,1,393.85,AD,501
    SR,218,504420120,2013-10-04,0451,102013,1,393.85,AD,501
    Expected Op:
    E,651,120,3999,2013-12-01,2013-12-25,25,556,0.00,0
    E,652,120,3901,2013-12-01,2013-12-27,27,6176.25,0.00,0
    SR,218,504420120,2013-10-04,0451,102013,1,393.85,AD,501
So, if there are maximum in that cas select max, which is working now and if they are same then any one of those.

  • Cloned two vm cluster nodes from development cluster to act as template to create production cluster

    Morning,
There was so much done to setup the development cluster, I thought it would be easy to have the two nodes in the cluster cloned.  To my surprise, the development cluster was up and happily running on the new vm servers.  Stopping resources verifies
it is stopping and starting resources on the original cluster.  I am not sure how to safely have the two new servers not manage the development cluster and create a new production cluster on them.
I am hesitant to destroy the cluster as I suspect it will destroy the real development cluster.  How do I do this?  How do I delete the windows cluster software and re-install without affecting the development cluster?
Note that I tried to create a new cluster in the failover cluster manager and specify the new vm cluster servers, but it says they are part of a cluster already.  I do not see them listed as nodes.  I am not sure how to see what cluster it thinks
the new servers are part of or how to not make them part of the development cluster.  That might be the path to my solution.

This actually has worked out okay.  I found these steps and did them on both of the nodes that were claiming to be in a cluster already:
    powershell
    Import-Module FailoverClusters;
    clear-clusternode

  • Need to copy files from multiple machine to multiple locations on server in daily basis

    My scenario is below:
    1. I have 20 machines and data for backup would be on only in one folder of each machine.
    2. Need to create 20 folders in server and copy the corresponding machine's data to the respective folder daily.
    3. Data copy should be appending (Should not be duplication).
    4. Also need notification if any failure.
Let me know whether schedule task / script which would be better to server this

Create a robocopy script to copy data from 20 different folders,
In Robocopy command you have switches to append the data,
You can enable logging for this script, If its failes / error - it will update in log file.
Create a schedule task and run this script according to your timings,
You an refer Robocopy article for more information :

  • Need help playing library from multiple machines...

My main computer (desktop) @ my house 'houses' my mp3 collection. I have networked laptops in my garage and just added another laptop to my tv room to play music from.
The problem I run into is having the laptop rescan the desktops library over and over and over again.
Is there a way to 'sync' the xml library file the desktop is using to the laptops? I constantly add files to 'the library' and am increasingly agitated every time I use one of the laptops and my 'new' music is not there.

Did you try sharing your Music from within iTunes? On your Desktop computer, in Preferences, Sharing tab, check "Share my library...".
On the other computers, make sure "Look for shared libraries" is checked. As long as iTunes is open on the "main" computer, all the other ones should be able to listen to music from the main computer by selecting it from the "Shared" section in the sources list.

  • Accessing TC HD from multiple machines

From my Macbook running 10.4.11 I can read the xcel file/make changes/save but when I try to access it from my macbook pro running 10.5.2
You get an alert, 'Could not be found. check spelling of the file name, and verify that the location is correct."
You can see the file in finder, and you can copy it to the desktop of the MCP work on it and then recopy it back to the TCHD.
Why can't I work on it like I can from the older laptop?
doesn't matter which file creates the document-
the icon on the MCP is a blue airport drive but on the Macbook it is a network icon????
    Any hints?

Hello Muriuki. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
My windows machine is connected to the network (in fact I'm using it now to post this), but I don't know how to make it "see" the HD connected to my AEBS. Any help?
The following Apple article should answer your question.

  • Access iphoto 08 file on shared storage device from multiple machines

I recently installed ilife 08 on both an imac and macbook. Previously (iphoto 06), both devices accessed the iphoto library on a shared storage device without any problems. After the upgrade, my imac is able to view thelibrary but my macbook (the second machine to be upgraded) no longer has access. 'Sharing' is too slow over the wireless network and doesn't represent a reasonable option.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Any suggestions.

Actually, neither repairing permissions or changing them with Get Info worked for me. What did work for me was deleting the empty iPhoto Library in the user folder who couldn't access the shared library, and put an alias of the shared library in that user's Pictures folder. Everything then worked as it did prior to upgrading. Thanks.

  • Lockup When Debugging Simultaneously from Multiple Machines

When attempting to simultaneously remote debug JSPs from more than one client, all systems hang. One client is in stateful mode and the others are stateless.
Is this because the OJVM can only handle one client at a time? Do I need to spawn a OJVM for each client?
    We have the following setup:
    - JDeveloper 3.2.
    - Oracle 8.1.7.
    - Latest versions of Apache and Tomcat
    Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, both OJVM and classic (using JPDA) only allow one debugger to connect to a debuggee at a time. (In your case the debuggee is your app server).
Once the first debugger detaches, then a second debugger can attach, but you can not have two debuggers attached simultaneously.

  • ISync-ed iCal Alarms eMailed from multiple machines

I iSync my iCal between three different machines. However each machine then thinks it has to email me all of my accumulated Alarms, so I get three copies of each Alarm eMail. And when I wake my laptop, it wants to send its copy of all the emails before I can do anything else. Is there not some preference for handling Alarms, such as only via the "main" machine? Don't tell me the solution is not to Sync the iCal, or not to set Alarms. (OS X 10.4.11 and/or 10.5.2)

    BStaud,
If it is any consolation, I too will be interested in replies to your questions.

  • How to add up items from multiple sheets and popup lists

Based on the "Personal Budget" template
I want to use the Personal Budget template and modify it to my needs — I want a total and 12 sheets (for each month).  The template example has a total page and 1 data sheet by default.
What would the formula be to get data for a category, across all of the 12 sheets?
    For example:
    A8 is "Travel"
    SUMIF Jan::Transactions::Category,A8,Jan::Transactions::$Amount)
This gives me the amount of all "travel" expenses for the sheet "Jan" but how would I have the combined total for Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec?
What would the formula look like?
Sorry, not very well versed in spreadsheets.
    Thanks!
    — James

Instead of splitting the data into twelve pieces that you then have to struggle to consolidate, how about entering it all in the existing data table on the Transactions and then adding the summary table on Budget sheet that pulls the data by month?
Note the use of SUMIF in the SUMMARY BY CATEGORY table. You would use the same idea to "filter" by month as well. Because you more than one condition now (ie. you want to filter by month and category), you use SUMIFS instead of SUMIF.
The easiest way may be to insert a Month column in column E of the data table with the formula =MONTH(A) . This will give the month number.
Then create at new summary table that looks like this:
The formula in B2, copied right and down:
       =SUMIFS(Transactions::$D,Transactions::$C,$A2,Transactions::$E,B$1)
(For demo purposes I copied the existing entries in the template's data table and pasted them below themselves, giving two months of data.  In the new rows I changed the month from 11 to 12.  So that's why you see values here only for months 11 and 12, and exactly the same.)
