I want to add 'Yes/No' dialog when user presses a button on standart OAF page.
Is it possible?

The task was to add warning messages on few buttons in Notifications Detail Page (/oracle/apps/fnd/wf/worklist/webui/NotifDetailsPG). When user presses Yes -action continues, when No - turns back to the page.

So it works, but I have 2 questions about:
1. Is it right way to pass all parameters into dialog page?
2. I don't know how to turn back to main page from dialog. So I have to remove parameters and then call super.processFormRequest in following section when button No is pressed. Can you give me advice how to do it better?

I added a dummy button to the page that has the following call to execute the mainApply method in the sessioon bean.
The button action just calls the mainApply() method in the session bean

Now, when I push the original 'Apply' button, I get the confirmation box just like I expected.
But when I confirm the question, I get the error at the top of this post.
If I push the 'dummy button' directly, I do not get the error.
I do not understand why I should be gettng this error.
Can anyone give me a clue as to why this change would cause the problem?
The error is related to an ArrayList.
I use several of these on the page, but they should be filled with data in the preRender method of the page.
Can anyone suggest a way that I can add confirmation to a button that is created under program control?

Make use of the fact that when an onclick event of a button returns 'false', the action will not be taken.

Change iten property when Add Row button pressed

hi,
I have advance table on one update page. There are two requirements on that page:
1. One key Item has to be READ_ONLY for saved rows. It can be changed when new row added using Add New Row button. I followed Changing UI properties (SPEL) example. The read_only property changed for all rows, not just for the added new row.
2. New added row can be removed and saved row can not deleted.
Please help me.

It works for READ_ONLY field. I used same concept to control the delete image using swither. Enable image did show up since the value is null for new added row. Following is my query.

How do I add a PayPal button to a page in my site?

My client has a PayPal account and they would like me to add a button that enables visitors to click the button and submit donations.
Is this something that is supported by Muse?

Yes - you can add a PayPal button using arbitrary HTML.
Create the donation page in Muse. If desired, you can also create a second confirmation page, that thanks the visitor for their donation after it is submitted.
Publish both pages.
Log into your PayPal account on their website. Use their system to generate the donation payment button.
Copy the source code for the button.
Return to Muse and go to Object > Insert HTML..., paste the code in the HTML Code area and Click OK.
Position the HTML block where you want the button to appear on the page.
Publish the page again and click the button to test that the button works as expected. It should jump from the Muse donation page to the PayPal page where the visitor can enter their donation into your client's account.
You can style the PayPal page to look more like your site's design, which creates a more seamless appearance. If desired, you can also configure the PayPal payment page to redirect to the confirmation/thank you page you created in step 1 after processing the transaction.

Change control values on button press

Hi, I've got a situation where I have several numeric controls where you can change different values. I also have several subVIs with control references (as described in this article: http://labviewwiki.org/Control_References) that takes in references to these numeric controls on the mainVI. These subVIs continously read the values in their own threads.
So whenever I change a value on any of the controls, the values does of course change in the subVIs, since they reference to the value of the control. How would I make the actual value only change only after I clicked the ok button?
To illustrate this I made a VI with an event structure and a separate while loop that continoulsy reads a reference to the control and updats an indicator. I can think of a few cumbersome solutions, whereas I have two controls for every value. The second control would then be hidden and only written to in case of the Ok button press. But having two controls to do something simple as this seems superfluous.

Given what you want to do then I would suggest that you use an Action Engine to contain your data. This has the advantage of decoupling the UI from the subtasks. I would recommend that your action engine consist of an array of clusters. Each cluster would contain the data values, in your case Ki, Kd and Kp for each controller. This has the advantage of reducing the individual values you are dealing with and treats the data for a given controller as a whole. The subtasks could either poll the data looking for a value change. You could even keep track of that in your Action Engine so you would only need to poll to see if the data changed. If it did, then read the data. You would need an index or ID to specify which controller's data you would want to access. The action engine allows you to grow your application if more controllers are added. You should use a typedef to define the cluster. If you wanted to make this more event driven you could use a single notifier shared by your subtasks that would simply indicate a data change event. Part of the data for the notifier could specify which data. That way only interested subtasks would take action. This type of architecture wouldn't add lots of wires to your diagram especially if you used a named notifier.
Regardless of the way you choose to pass the data to the subtasks I would take a look at your UI. I haven't seen it so I can't comment on it specifically. However is you have 40 controls on the front panel at the same time it most likely is a confusing interface. There are ways to reduce the complexity and still provide the same functionality. If you haven't already looked at I would recommend getting the book The LabVIEW Style Book by Peter Blume. If you did reduce your UI to only work with a single controller or a couple of related controllers at a time the Action Engine approach would work nicely since you take your data from the FP and only update the data that has changed. From a UI perspective you have less controls to worry about on your UI and it will probably be easier for the user to understand. From the application's perspective you have decoupled the subtasks from the UI in a very clean way. Another approach would be to use LVOOP for your controller data and processing. Then you simply instantiate a new instance of the class (an object) for each controller that your system is using. This has an added benefit of allowing you to use different controllers and load them at runtime using dynamic dispatching.

Sending an object from client to server always on button press

What I need is to send an object from client to server but I need to make server wait until another object is sent. What I have is the JFrame where you put the wanted name and surname, then you create a User object with these details and on button press you send this object to the server. I just can't hold the connection because when I send the first object, server doesn't wait for another button click and throws EOFexception. Creating the while loop isn't helpfull as well because it keeps sending the same object again and again. The code is here

Current code fails because it's sending still the same entity again(using while loop)No it's not. You are creating a new User object every time around the loop.
which makes the system freezeWhich means that you are executing network code in the event thread. Don't do that, use a separate thread. At the moment you're doing all that sending inside the constructor for ClientFrame which is an even worse idea: you can never get out of there to the rest of your client program. This is a program design problem, not a networking problem.
and doesn't allow me to set new parameters of the new entityI do not understand.
I need to find a way to keep Server running even when the client doesn't send any data and wait until the client doesnt press the send button again to read a new object.That's exactly what happens. readObject() blocks until data is received.

Add an update button

Hello everyone!
I am using Oracle Forms 6i and here is my problemm..
I am trying to add a button in my forms that will update records in my table.
For example I have one datacolumn "TYPE_OF...", in my forms I made an ListItem for this column where I choose the type.
I made a recordGroup to automaticaly populate this item and everything works just fine.
Now when I press this button of mine (I named it "Change") I want to update my record and save it with the different type that I choose after saving the record first and the previuos record with the "old" type must be erased (not to have both records afterwards).
I started like this:
1. Made an alert (named "SPR") that will ask me when I press the button if I am sure that I want to change that record.
2. Alert have two buttons "Yes" and "No"
3. When I click on "Yes" my record is updated else nothing happens
Here is the CODE that I wrote in WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger (It doesn't work, normally, because I am quite new in PL/SQL programming):

I don't have anymore the problem with "DOKUMENTI_GLAVA_UV must be declared", I saw that I have to be signed in one another application that uses this form, so that is not an issue anymore.
Now I made one another block that is not database block, add in that block some display items that will copy my type of "VRSTE_TEMELJNICE" and beneath that item, I add ListItem on which I defined RecordGroup where I can choose my new type. I also add two buttons on this block where one is "Cancel" and the other is "OK" which means if I press on "OK" I want to change the type.
Just to answer on your question the D block is a database block but I have to do this because the item "VRSTE_TEMELJNICE" is unupdatable (update allowed is set to NO) and it has to be that way, so I can not just let forms to update the record.
So.. let's return on my issue. If I press on "OK" button my alert shows up and if I press "Yes" my record is updated.
The name of my displayItem is "IZVT", of listItem is "NAVT". I hope you can get the picture, if not, just tell me what is unclear and I'll try to explain.
So, I still need the CODE for my trigger on the "OK" button.

                  if u want an interactive ALV report , there are lot of forums already having the solution for that , but let me give u the solution anyway.
In the function module "REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY" , import parameters
     I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET          = 'FLIGHT'
     I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND           = 'BUTTON_CLICK'
has to be supplied to this function module . The PF status is where u hav created the two buttons , that PF status has to be given here .If the user clicks on the button then it is handled by the form routines . Inside the sub-routine based on the button the user has selected u could perform the action.

Overide on-error with when-new-button-pressed

Hi,
I have a big problem and not much time to solve it so posting on here hoping someone will know the answer. I have put an exit button on my form which calls a method that uses GO_FORM to return to a menu page.
I don't want to close oracle forms down completely so I can't use the exit_form command. However I want the close button to return the user to the menu without validating or saving the current form.
My problem is that I catch errors in a date field using an on-error trigger and this always fires before the when-button-pressed meaning my user gets an error before leaving the form.
How do I ignore the on-error trigger when my close button is pressed and not when exiting the field which contains the date.
I have tried setting the execution hierarchy to after on the on-error and override on the when-button-pressed but this seems to have no effect.

One solution would be to add a menu for the form. For some reason menu items and toolbar buttons don't cause the loss of focus to occur. If you used a menu to fire a trigger to close the form then you could set a flag that could be checked in your on-error trigger. If the flag was true(or whatever) then you don't perform your validation.
I'm usually angry that the toolbars and menus don't cause those triggers to fire, but I've had a couple cases similar to this where it actually works out for the better. Not sure if having a menu for, what sounds to me like, a dialog will look the best, but it should work.

But if you don't rely on old browsers (and you are coding for browsers which understand HTML5), you could use the canvas of HTML5 to create a screenshot and print that.

Add a face button turned grey

Would anyone have a solution...
I recently had an electrical shutdown while importing photos in iPhoto (9.6), on my computer (using Mac OS 10.10.1). When I started my computer again, iPhoto asked for rebuilding my database, which I did. Since then, on all my pictures, the new as the old ones, I can not add a face, the "add a face" button is grey. In addition, on my old pictures onto which I already added a face, the tag has apparently disappeared (in the information panel, the names do not appear anymore), although the faces are still correctly appearing when going to the main face panel. Something else I remarked, when I start iPhoto, in the top left corner where I can select the face presentation, I have a circle in which two arrows are circling, with no end.
Resumed: My main problem is that I cannot add any names on the pictures...
So far, I have tried these solutions, none of them fixed my issue:
1) Launching iPhoto pressing the alt and Cmd button to repair the permissions, rebuild the thumbnails, repair the database, rebuild the database
2) repaired the permissions through onyx
3) erased the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file in the library / preference folder
4) erased Faces.db (in Pictures/iPhoto Library/Database/apdb) and Faces folder (in Pictures/iPhoto Library/Database), and use the files I have in my TimeCapsule from a time before my issue started
Anybody to share with my his/her ideas to solve my problem?

It appears you are experiencing library issues in iPhoto . That does sound troublesome. To help you resolve this, I have linked to an article that offers troubleshooting suggestions for this issue:
To rebuild the iPhoto library:
Quit iPhoto if it is open.
Hold down the Command and Option keys on the keyboard.
Open iPhoto.
Keep the keys held down until you are prompted to rebuild the library.
A dialog will appear with rebuild options. Select the options you want to use.
Click Rebuild to begin the rebuild process. This may take a few minutes to complete.

This is what the dialog box will look like in your version of iPhoto. I would recommend performing each option. However, I would not recommend this process if you do not have a backup of your photos:

it says about
to debug the issue, users has enabled profile EAM: Debug Profile Option needs to be set to Yes at site level.
Every time when WO API is involved, the following files are generated: createwo.log , updatewo.log.
where can i find those logs please specify the location
what i did
as said by hussain i have manually compiled form and libraries assocaited with that form
