Add content to apps when ipad was set up over the air?
I set up my iPad on the device itself, but now when I want to add content to it from the computer in itunes (oplayer), it says "set up as new iPad" or "restore from backup"...is there any anyway to just edit what is on the device without starting from scratch?
Only that person can unlock it. Take it back to the store and get your money back. Without the active help of that previous owner, you can never remove activation lock and use that device. See Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support

Do you get a specific error mesaage? If so, what is the message?
Have you tried updating with iTunes on a computer? If you do that, disable your firewall and antivirus software while you are trying to update.
if you don't have a computer, try resetting your router and the iPad and then try the update again.
Unplug the router from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
It also does this after I use Siri. I have an iphone 5 and it does the same thing on my 3gs. Since I forget to stop the app frequently it becomes annoying to have podcasts starting at random when in a meeting.
Thanks for any help!Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. Walk it into the nearest Apple Store there in Ireland, admit you purposely avoided buying it there, and ask them to help you sort it out. I'm sure they'll be happy to service your overseas purchase.....

In Finder, go to the Microsoft Office folder - navigate into Additional Tools/Remove Office. Double-click on the "Remove Office" application. You should see the app launch. When you see the first screen appear, hold down the Alt/Option key, and the "Continue" button will change to "Remove Licensing Information Only". Keep Alt held down, and click this. After this is done, you should relaunch Word, enter your serial number again, and enter whatever information you actually want to appear when Office launches.

Just to be clear, I didn't syn my phone with my computer when I had the app. The particular app I want to download again just have install button instead of $0.99 then Buy App.
I also have a question on how to pay apps. Itunes require you to put a credit card information to creat an account, but I took off my CC information after I created it. Since my account doesn't have any credit card information, how does apple charge me if I buy an app? Is it even possible to purchase one unless I put CC or giftcard on my account?You can redownload all purchased apps for free. To obtain any paid content will require some form of payment. If you don't have a credit card, redeem an iTunes gift card or pre-pair debit card.

My email won't send as when it was set up an extra letter was accidentally inserted in the address. I need to know how to remove the entire email address and start a fresh.
Launch Mail.app, select Mail > Preferences... > Accounts and select the account you need to edit in the left column.
The receiving information will be displayed for the selected Account, with a pop-up selector for the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) toward the bottom. That selector shows which mail server will be used with this account; to send mail.
Click and hold on that selector, and scroll down (holding the mouse or trackpad clicked) to Edit Mail Server List... and you'll get a sheet dropping down with the mail servers listed.
Select the problematic mail server, and edit it using the Account Information and Advanced items on that sheet. -

If the iPhone originated in Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates, it'll never have FaceTime.
If the iPhone originated in a different Middle East country and was unlocked or taken outside of it, it may have lost FaceTime.
If neither of these is applicable, check the device's restrictions.

With a new account, you'll need to rebuy the games.
Each user should have their own icloud account, otherwise they end up getting the same emails, contacts, calendars, notes, reminders, etc. - usually not what you want. But if all have been sharing the same itunes ID, keep it that way, you can have different IDs for itunes and icloud.
If you already have another icloud account, and want to set it up on a device, then go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account. This only disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost on icloud. Then enter the account ID that you want to use.

If you're in the US and have an account in the US iTunes Store, then go here and check the region:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > tap your Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region
If you find that it is set to the correct region, log out of your iTunes Store account, restart your iPad, and sign into your account again.
If you are in Colombia, then you cannot use the US iTunes Store, and you can't use a US credit card in the Colombian iTunes Store.

I can call my ipad with my iphone alll the time. That's how I check up on my kids at home when I"m at work. You just set up to your iphone's facetime setting with your phone number and set up your ipad's facetime settings with your apple id (in this case it's your email)
