Add dropdown column in Metadata properties in Search SharePoint2010

Hi all,
i have some drop-down columns in library and i need to add these column in metadata properties in search. and dose dropdown column support in search refinement panel and in advance search page xml ? also i
need to add library dropdown column in search center for filter the data on search page. is there any out of the box way to do this.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to create custom SharePoint 2010 Search Refiners for some drop-down columns in library.

We have client requirement to show custom metadata in the document explorer home sceen, like Document name, Size, Author, etc..
Can we display metadata from advanced properties of a file like a column or can we add new columns to display to document explorer.

For what it's worth, I posted pretty much the same question a couple of days ago:
How to show document title instead of file name in Document Manager
If you check the source of the task flow you'll notice that the document explorer contains an af:treeTable that iterates over a collection of items.
I have not yet identified the class it is iterating over, but I doubt you will be able to add custom metadata to this table. Perhaps the document title (which I am looking for) which is a common field, but not others.
Might be an enchancement request for Oracle Support.

How to add one column in existing search help.

How to add one column in existing search help and also Now search help on that field is not an explicit search help. It should be implement using check table.

Hi,
If you want to add a field in Elementary search help, get the search help name for the and go to change mode and add the field in it.
If you want to add a field in collective search help, go to included search helps tab and a new search help name and add the fields to it.
I think this should help you to certain extent.

Add a Document Library "multi-select dropdown" column

I need to allow my users to select more than entry in a drop-down when adding a new file to the document library. I cannot use the checkbox feature because I have way to many entries.
Is there a way to add a “multi-select drop-down” column?

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to add a multiple-values dropdown column in a library.
You can add these entries into a list, then create a lookup column in your library, the lookup data is from the list, and select ‘Allow multiple values’, like the screenshot below:

Custom metadata properties give no results after upgrade from 2010

Hi,
Although I see my custom managed properties in my Search Schema in Central Admin, I am unable to find results using them e.g. 'VendorName:Marcel'. I have tried changing the column value in a document and performed a full crawl, but still no results. General
searches such as 'Marcel' work fine and even something like 'author:marcel' (which is a built in managed property) works too. What am I missing? How can I determine the issue? Nothing stands out in the ULS logs.
Background:
I recently upgraded my managed metadata service and search service from 2010 to 2013.
I then upgraded the content db holding my root site collection, and had to re-create my search service proxy to get searches to work. I then upgraded the content db which holds my content hub site collection. This includes site columns, many of which
are also Managed Properties.
Crawls are running with 8 errors - none of which are for the document I changed. Warnings are mainly about 'png' files.
In 2010 I had scopes, which I no longer see in Central Admin. Although I have converted the content database without error, I have not converted the Site Collection to 2013 yet.

I'm developing a sandbox solution to be deloyed on SharePoint 2013 online. This solution contains a web part for a custom functionality. I have a need to make a query against data in user profiles based on two custom metadata properties (mapped to termsets).
Is it possible to create this kind of query by using search REST API (with javascript)? So I need all persons whos metadata field
MyOwnTerms contains specific value(s) passed to search?
I can get all users with /_api/search/query?querytext='*'&sourceid='B09A7990-05EA-4AF9-81EF-EDFAB16C4E31'very (if i set the rowlimit to very high) and the results contains my cystom field
MyOwnTerms but there is too much of results to loop through just for filtering. I cannot reduce rowlimit because I need ALL the persons with certain metadata value in this field. Is there any way to make this work?

I went through the same problem and yes it is possible. In my case, I created a Managed Properties specific to my site column metadata, and assign the value only the label of the column metadata for this managed property. So it returns only the value of
the name and not the metadata ID | Name as the default.
So, just move on selectproperties the name of your managed metadata, so it returns the correct value.

SharePoint Foundation 2013 -- How to add the document property option in default search template

The search for foundation 2013 is working fine with me. I want to add the view document property in the search option? can any one tell me how can i do it in foundation 2013.

Display templates are not available in SharePoint Foundation. You must use SharePoint Server.

you need to read program carefully first possible than do debug.than find the exact location where system ALV generates here you need to add your field.
May be i it helps you.
search with term in mention prg ASSIGN gt_alv TO <gt_alv>. you will get idea where you need to add your own field

How add new column in analysis from two subject area

which is the right way to add a new column to an existing combined analysis from two subject areas?
if I add the new column first in my two combined queries, then I saw a new column in the results column panel, but this new column is empty and I can't edit its propreties (the button edit column doesn't work). I can't even save the modified analysis due to a "bad xml" errror.
if I try to first add a new column from the results panel and then in my combined queries, obiee says that new columns are not of the same type.
I suppose this is because the new column in results panel has no aggregation formula, unlike new columns in queries.
But I don't know how to change the properties of the new field in the results panel, with no subject area available.
I have to restart from a single subject area? possible?
In this case, there is a way to save/copy filters ecc. from the old analysis?

When you are using union clause in analysis or combining with other subject area you suppose to have same number of columns and their datatypes with other analysis.
for datatype issues you can use cast in column expression in each analysis. If you want to add a column only from 1 analysis just add and in other analysis use dummy column with exp 0 or ''(for char) based on the datatype.
These you have to deal with each analysis.

IC WebClient: Add Dropdown Box to TableView

Has anyone successfully added a dropdown box inside of a CRM IC WebClient table that uses a context node? If so, I would appreciate some advice! I have read Brian's blog about table view iterators, but as usual the application in CRM is slightly different.
I'm working with a custom column in the result list (Customers context) on the BuPaSelectCustomer view. I want my custom column to be editable via a dropdown box. Here's what I've done:
1) Created a custom class that implements the IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATOR interface
2) Created an attribute of the Customers context class called ITERATOR that is typed as the new class in #1
3) Added the iterator attribute to the crmic:tableView
element in the page which points to the attribute defined in #2: iterator = "<%= customers->iterator %>"
4) Set edit = "TRUE" attribute in the crmic:tableViewColumn element for my new column named 'ZZSLSTATUS'
5) In the controller class SET_MODELS method:
* Create iterator for table
IF NOT iterator IS BOUND.
    CREATE OBJECT iterator TYPE ZCL_CRM_SELCUST_TV_ITERATOR
      EXPORTING
        ir_context_node = typed_context->customers.
ENDIF.
The constructor looks like this:

Nothing happens to the cells in my column (they still appear as uneditable with their initial values) and my breakpoints aren't hit in the custom iterator class methods when the table is rendered. Any ideas?

I found this article very useful and tried to follow the samples. I am not very experienced in BSP and I only need to add a column to BuPaSelectCPforCustomer IC webclient tableview.
Step 1 - done.
step 2 - I am not sure I did it right. I created a custom class ZCL_CRM_IC_BUPASELCP_CN02 for CONTACTRELATION and added an attribute ITERATOR to the class.
step 3 I add this to crmic:tableView
   iterator = "<%= CONTACTRELATION->iterator %>"
   but I go compile errors like "Field iterator is unknown".
Step 4 - skip
Step 5 - I assume the controller class is the top controller which in my case is ZL_CRM_IC_BUPASELECTCPFOR_IMPL->SET_MODELS. I added this code:
     IF NOT iterator IS BOUND.
     ENDIF.
I got the same compile errors like "Field iterator is unknown".
I think I missed something somewhere. I would really appreciate it if you could shed more light on this.

Not sure what you are saying here. Obviously you have to have a place to place the distinct values, whether in another column or in the same column. That's not really a drawback, just a fact of life.
I'm curious about what you mean by "multiple columns to dynamically select some records with specific criteria from different columns." If you can give a specific example of what you are trying to do, I there may be a solution. Are you trying to do something like Excel's filtering on multiple columns?
If you are you can click the disclosure triangle by the column letter to get a dropdown like this:

If you want to add this column in a project center view, be careful to choose a project view in the "manage views" views' list. Also it must be a project custom field and not a task field. As Paul said, we assume that the field with the code exists
and has been previousky created by you.

This is not an SD question and you might want to use Search (and include other forums) in the future.
There is no ABAP needed for such basic calculations in queries. In SQ01, this can be done in the 'Select field' screen (it's the 3rd screen where you select which fields will be included in the query.
First, assign short names to your Net Value and Tax fields. Go to the menu Edit -> Short Names -> Turn On/off. This should open another column to the right from the field names. Enter the names, say NET and TAX.
Then create a new local field. Same menu, Edit -> Local field -> Create. Give the field some name (TOTAL), assign a type ('Same field as -> use Net field or whatever is suitable). Enter formula NET + TAX and save.
