Add E-mail Address in Shared Services

Good Day, I am using NTLM and like to add e-mail address for my users inShared Services. When i click on the user, i see the User Id,Last Name, First Name, Description and E-mail address field. I cannot change the user profile. I have asked my Network group who maintains the NT Domain, andthey cannot find any place where the e-mail address is stored. How can i ge the e-mail field populated. I like to usethis function in BI+ Workspace, so that users can e-mail link forreports to other users. Thanks

There are also the .properties files that have to the SMTP server name as well. I know for FR it is in the FR_global.properties file.

I added SMTP mail server name and configured the shared services but still the Email option is not enabled in Web analysis and workspace to send reports through email..
I even gone through installation materials but of no help..

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Add E-mail Address to Address Book

Hi,
I'm having some trouble with situations like this:
I have somebody in my address book, and I have his mobile number only. He sends me an e-mail, which I receive in Mail for OS X. I want to add this e-mail address to the existing card in Address Book. But when I click on the e-mail address in Mail, and the drop-down menu comes up, the only options I can see are:
Copy Address
New Message
Open in Address Book
Create Smart Mailbox
Spotlight, "First Name Last Name"
Choosing, "Open in Address Book" opens that card in Address Book, but doesn't add the e-mail address in question to it! Does anybody know how to do what I am trying to do? It is something that should be simple!

I understand that they are two different pieces of software. I just meant that they were coded by people who adhere to the same philosophy when it comes to functionality.
What, then, is the purpose of the "Open in Address Book" command? If Joe Smith sends me an e-mail, and I click on his e-mail address and select "Open in Address Book" from the drop down menu, it will open Address Book and show me Joe Smith's card with his existing mobile number. But it won't add the e-mail address I just clicked on to that card. That seems asinine to me. I suppose this cuts down on a few of those six steps, but it is ridiculous that I still have to manually enter the e-mail address once I get to the card.

I cannot delete or add e-mail addresses

When I add a address it is gone the next time I open. When I delete a address it reappears when I open it again.

Are you talking about a contact in the address book, or an email account?

i have 2 yahoo account and i tried to add them to mail but only one would be accepted. i dont kno what the problem is i mean i did everything right, can someone tell me what to do.

its not that unique its nothin special just just ordinary. i mean one has a underscore with 3 numbers and the other one has no underscore and 2 numbers

I have changed e-mail address for the service Share picture using e-mail attachment in Photoshop Elements 11. This should be confirmed by Adobe sending me an e-mail stating the verification code but no code received. What should I do? Without verification I cannot go on.

In Organizer, go to preferences (Under Edit menu)
Then go to sharing under sharing you can change the email address to your latest email address, click ok and then send the email verification cod again.

Shared Services: Multi-domain MSAD based configuration issue

Hello to All,
Can someone tell me how to configure MSAD to use two domains X and Y under one user directory D.
My actual configuration is based on the domain X and provides some MSAD users groups in D user directory.
But I need to provisionne another user that belong to another AD in a foreign domain Y.
A trusted relationship (approbation relationship) have been created between the two domains X and Y.
Is this kind of multi-domain configuration allowed in Shared Services?
If yes, how can I configure this?

There are a couple of ways:
1) Add a new provider in Shared Services
2) Modify your current provider to go to a higher level in your domain which will likely require different parameters on your existing Active Directory provider
Option 2 is preferable if you see this will cascade and other domains will be needed and they are all under a global company domain.

I have standalone essbase in 6.5 where users plan their forecasting and budgeting through front end excel vb6 macros
now they want to upgrade to 11.1.2 since the security in the front end application is through a NTID where orcl triggers a common password to log into
essbase which matches the same password in essbase.
severity is when we upgrade to 11.1.2 how does this work as shared services are to be maintained
and how does shared sevrices talk to the front end vb macros ?
any suggestion would be really appreciated.

If you are moving to 11.1.2 then it is probably worth moving to Smart View as the excel add-in is pretty much at the end of its life and soon to be retired.
You can configure shared services to add in an external directory such as Microsoft active directory, then the AD users/groups will be available in Shared Services and you can provision them against the essbase applications.
Smart View / Excel add-in will authenticate against Shared Services and shouldn't need to worry too much about the code, if you move to Smart View then you have to prepare for code changes

Unfortunately you can't add all at once. But you save a lot of time by the copy/paste method (double-tap at a mail address, tap "copy", go to the "Contacts" app, enter the contact you want to paste the address in, tap "Mail address", then double tap again and tap "paste").

You can have multiple addresses associated with your apple id. You will have to verify any changes before they can be added and this is done by sending you an email. This is to protect you from someone else makeing changes to your account.
