Add error description from sxmb_moni in alerts in 7.1
Hi Gurus,
My requirement is to add short description from sxmb_moni i.e. from ABAP stack in alert.
I already have check many blogs and marketplace but could not find this.
As per the link Creating Alert Categories - Process Integration Monitoring - SAP Library we can extract this info from adapter engine using SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRTXT but how to achieve this for I.E.
Please let me know if this is possible in any other way around.
Hope my requirement is clear, i just want the description from moni for the failed message in my alerts.

Hi Jitender
We can use following container variables to populate the text inside the alert message
These are more than enough for debugging the message in MONI.
However if you want to add the payload information in the alert message, then u need to use the function module SALERT_CREATE
You can call this function module inside message mapping using RFC look up or via UDF.

As the exception is raised in ECC system, alert cannot be trigger, alert will get trigger when there is a error in PI system. To raise a email, write additional code in ECC to trigger the e-mail with proper error content -

Retrieve error description from PCI-7334 board with VB
Even with the examples provided by NI I get the error "Compile error. By Ref argument type mismatch" on argument "errordescription of function "flex_get_error_description".
Try it with the "One-Axis Move with Position Monitor.vbp" project. Select an axis that don't exist eg "axis 7" and you get the error in "Public Function nimcDisplayError(ByVal errorCode As Long, ByVal commandID As Integer, ByVal resourceID As Integer) As Integer" of module "NIMCExample.bas".
In VB the variable "errordescription" is declared as string. According to the help file that argument is an array of ASCII characters. So what should it be??
The examples where installed from the "Motion Control Version 6.1.2" CD.

How to access error description in a string from error code returned by NI-DAQ driver?
I am tring to write codes to control NI-6703 for PCI using the NI-DAQ driver for C++.
In the sample codes, it calls "NIDAQErrorHandler" to retrieve the error description and display in the pop-up message box. The method is included with header file "nideqex.h", and implemented w/ the nidex32.lib
I would like to get the error description in a string rather than getting a message box. Is there a way to do that? Am I missig something here?
I managed to find the "NIDAQEx.c" source code on the internet, but it seems like the code is outdated, and the library is NOT really compiled from it, since it does not seems to have a call to any method that will return th
e error description in a string that got used to be displayed in the message box.
Is there a method that I can call and pass a error code, which will return the error description in a string?There is a function documented in dataacq.h called GetNIDAQErrorString that accomplishes what you would like.

Is it possible to add item description in the Alert screen in sap b1
Please see the attachment for the alert screen that gets generated every time an item stock goes beyond the minimum or maximum level. In this screen is it possible to show the item number AND the item description so that the alert is easily understandable? (instead of drilling down into the item code to see each item which is what we are doing now)

Failed Message Routing - Generic Error Description - why?
Hi,
I have developed a custom pipeline component but when it throws an exception, it throws a generic exception description, as follows:
"The Message Engine encountered an error during the processing of one of or inbound messages"
I have 'Failed Message Routing' enabled on my port and an orchestration that subscribes to these failed messages.
But I'm creating my own custom error description, with information I use further down the process, this custom description gets overwritten by Biztalk somewhere after been thrown.
Is there a reason for this? And is there a way to work around this?Thanks for your reply.

Error reading from file glibc-2.5-24.i686.rpm RHEL 5 Setup stuck at 80%
Hi, I am installing Oracle 10g on RHEL 5 (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5) machine I am facing two problems
1) while installing the rpm packages the following package gave an error
Error reading from file glibc-2.5-24.i686.rpm
2) I still gave a try to runInstaller command the installer opened but was stuck at 80%
I have 3 GB ram and 320GB hard drive I am not sure what to put in the swap memory and other settings i blindly followed instructions given here

Before you run SQL Server 2008 express setup, make sure that you have installed Windows installer 4.5 and.NET Framework 3.5 SP1 manually. For more information about the process, please refer to the article:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143506(v=sql.100).aspx. Moreover, please turn off all the third-party softwares which could prohibit the installation process.
According to your error message, the issue could be due to that your account has no rights to install SQL Server, or the corruption on the media.
Firstly, please ensure that your account has admin rights. Also make sure that you right-click the setup.exe and choose “Run as administrator” to complete the installation.
Secondly, please check if "msdbdata.mdf" file exists at d:\8268cd7b247d294de359c9\x86\setup\sql_engine_core_inst_msi\PFiles\SqlServr\MSSQL.X\MSSQL\Binn\Template. If it exists, please make sure that your account has read permission to the extracted
folder.
However, if the file doesn't exist in the extraction, the media could be corrupt. Please download the
media
again and check if the issue still occurs.
