Add extracting brush or tool

After some thought about how the extract filter in photoshop works and how Localised adjustments work in Lightroom, I think that an extract tool could be achieved for Lightroom based on the same masking that the localised adjustment brush uses.
Mask out what you don't want, or mask what you do want, and apply the extraction (tossing away of pixels for a transparent background) at export. jpeg previews could display the extraction on user selected color. This would be great for simple extractions from chroma key or white backgrounds. (or this extract tool could be a prep masking for the photoshop extract filter, where the images would be exported into photoshop and the export filter with the mask from LR)

Dorin, Please, Try reading my description again. I think you missed the point of how this could be done by adapting a current LR tool (local adjustment brushes), to achieve the masking needed to extract an image.
Masking is something that can be done parametrically in Lightroom with final extraction done at export.

There's two features you should look into, quick mask and quick selection. I think you'll find quick selection to be the feature you're after.

Photoshop CC 2014 unusable due to the brushes/eraser tools freezing on a 64 bit Windows 7 PC!

Help I can't work
I'm using PS CC 2014 on a 64 bit Windows 7 PC. Photoshop is unusable due to the brushes/eraser tools freezing.
Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it, or how to revert to Photoshop CC using a Creative Cloud subscription?
If this helps, all other cc 2014 programs are running perfectly - as was the previous version of Photoshop.

When exactly does your brushes/eraser tools freeze?
Do you use any Wacom or other brand tablet? If so, have you checked for an updated driver? Disconnect Wacom and use a mouse instead and check.
Disconnect all the external devices and then retry.
Install all the PS updates. Help > Updates
Try resetting the PS CC preferences and check if it's an issue with corrupt preferences : http://forums.adobe.com/thread/375776
Try to open PS CC 2014 in Plugin Disabled mode and check the same. For that Press Shift+PS CC 2014 icon and hit Yes.
Restart your machine and retry.

I don't know if you are still looking for the answer if yes then below is the location to get documentation for AAK tool.
1. Go through SAP Note 921103 , this note has all the info for installation of add-on.
2. This document is useful to understand the concept although is looks like taken fro standard SAP documentation video.
3. SAP provide few SIM file which display steps in a video. i don't know if you got it or not i have them in case you need i can send it to you.
I hope this is enough information for you to create Add-on.

When I open Add-ons, from the Tools menu, I get an unresponsive script error: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js:623.

This is to say the least about the unresponsive script errors at other times. This is typically caused by a problem with the Personas Plus 1.6 add-on and it conflicting with the Google toolbar.
Try disabling the Personas Plus add-on. To do this open the add-ons manager by selecting the Tools menu, then Add-ons. In the list of installed extensions click on Personas Plus, then click on either disable or uninstall.
If you can not access the add-ons manager, follow the instructions in the [[safe mode]] article to start Firefox in safe mode. You should then be able to disable or uninstall Personas Plus. You can find more information on this procedure in the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article.

Contrast brush (or tool) diameter small, even at max setting.

A few days ago during use, the contrast brush (or tool) became much smaller, even at maximum size setting. Other tools are not affected. I've rebooted several times, even had a hard crash (spinning beach ball), but after restart the problem remains. The diameter of the tool on screen is somewhat relative to file size, but on average the maximum diameter setting offers a contrast tool diameter of about 1 inch…maybe 1 ½ inches. On a 27 inch monitor, that's not much. What can I do to achieve a "reset" on the diameter of this tool?

The Brush is limited to 1,000 pixels in normal use, but when constrained is limited to 200 px. In the Brush HUD, make sure that "Detect Edges" is not checked, and that the Brush range is set to "All". (Brush range is set on the Action Menu {click the gear icon on the Brush HUD}.)

He has used Buzz, as have I, to change photos into watercolor like images, now defunct and taken over by Topaz software, who now market Simplify in place of BUZZ.
After running the filter, he has added brush strokes to add texture without altering any color—just adding a texture looking like impasto or thick brush strokes.
I have searched everywhere and view lots of video but cannot find a technique to get the result I want.
I am sure there is way to do this, probably with brushes in CS6 and am frustrated with my being unable to find or create a way to achieve this effect.
Can you help??

Every time I try to access Add-ons, Firefox freezes and I get an "unresponsive script" warning that states, "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding . . ." The script in question is nsExtensionManager.js:623. I reinstalled Firefox, but that didn't help.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

This issue can be caused by the Personas 1.6.0 extension. If you have it then update to Personas 1.6.1

PS CS5 -crash using brush + grass tool

New Mac running Snow Leopard and CS5. 2560 x 1920 resolution on an Apple Cinema display. As soon as the user selects the brush tool and then the grass tool and starts filling up the screen, it crashes. It crashes every time like this. All updates have been applied. Also there are no third party plugins being used. For what its worth, the user has a smaller secondary monitor running at 1920 x 1200 (but its not being used when the crashes happen).

These things happen . Let me know if there is a patch that can be download for this in the future (or work-around). And again, thank you for responding back so quickly.
When the user uses PS CS4, the brush tool works fine.

By clicking add-ons in my tool bar it starts on the existing opened window how can i change it on new window

By clicking an add-on in tool bar it can't open in new window rather than it occupies the existing window how can I change this.

JavaScript links that specify a window size open by default in a new window and not in a new tab.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Proper Use of the Healing Brush & Patch Tool

When using the Patch tool and Healing Brush tool to smooth skin, I cannot seem to avoid "grabbing" dark coloring from the clothing as I get close to the edge of the skin. I have the sample source anchored in the middle of an area far away from the clothing edge, but if I get close to the clothing it pulls from that color and "bleeds" into my healing area.
I've tried to view tutorials on the Healing Brush, but haven't found anything that addresses this specific condition, just standard "how to" stuff.

I'll give you a little trick as you can see the preview of the are you are patching it is possible to do a patch clone sort to speak.
it works like this.
http://mysite.verizon.net/wzphoto/patch.mov
if the angle of the clothes do not match you can copy a section and paste and then rotate the section to match and use it as the source for
the patch tool.
BTW the idea is that you have to include the contrasting areas so the do not cause a blending. even if the darker area needs no repair.
