Add field to infotype OM

Hi,
Exist some form to adding a field in custom infotype of OM ? HRP900X

tks Binoj Nair , but in the Tcode PPCI exist 3 icon Create, modify and enlarge, which should use ?
I ask it to you because it is an infotype that this working in LRP and I don't want to damage it.

The "Common Tools" panel is not available by default. You're more likely to find it under Tools - Pages - Insert From File...

Modifying Masthead - Add fields from Infotypes

Hi ,
I need to make some changes on welcome message, in portal.
I already identify the par file that i need to change (com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead), and the JSP file (HeaderiView.jsp).
The questions are:
1- How can i add some fields to the welcome message, with information from Infotypes (R/3)? Can i "control" the connection to the R/3 in this HeaderiView.jsp?
2- Can i acess to the code of "com.sapportals.portal.prt.session.IUserContext", that is imported in HeaderiView.jsp, in order to know which methods this class has and use them?

Hi Louis,
I am afraid your solution will effect the response time and it can create lot of issues. The Masthead will be loaded in the first call, and if you are trying to access the R3 during this your response time will be very high. Another thing is any problem in your R3 side(like network failure, R3 down time etc) will cause your Masthead code to crash, It can even stop the user from logging off, and will not be a very pleasant situation. You may need to rethink your solution.
As far as adding custom fields are concerned, you can always do that. Why you need to do it through the IUserContext i couldn't make out. Its a jsp file and you can put whatever you feel like !!.

How to add fields in custom infotype and update its screens

I want to enhance a custom infotype ( Add some new fields, and add special function on its screen). This custom infotype is created in previous release. is there any way to add fields in infotype? and let system automatcailly modify corresponding screens to add new fields

Go to Transaction PM01.
2) Enter the custom Infotype number which you want to create (Should be a 4 digit number, start with 9).
3) Select the u2018Employee Infotypeu2019 radio button.
4) Select the u2018PS Structure Infotypeu2019.
5) Click on Createu2026 A separate table maintenance window appearsu2026
6) Create a PS structure with all the fields you want on the Infotype
7) Save and Activate the PS structure
8) Go back to the initial screen of PM01.
9) Click on u2018Allu2019 push button. It takes a few moments.
10) Click on u2018Technical Characteristicsu2019. Infotype list screen appears
11) Click on u2018Changeu2019(pencil) button
12) Select your Infotype and click on u2018Detailu2019 (magnifying glass) button
13) Give u2018T591Au2019 as subtype table
14) Give u2018T591Su2019 as subtype txt tab
15) Give your subtype field as subtype field
16) Save and come back to PM01 initial screen
17) Click on u2018Infotype Characteristicsu2019 u2026 Infotype list screen appears
18) Click on u2018Changeu2019 (pencil) button
19) Click on u2018New Entriesu2019
20) Enter your Infotype number and short text
21) Here we have to set different Infotype Characteristics as per the requirement. (Better open another session with some standard Infotypeu2019s infotype characteristics screen and use as the reference to fill yours)
22) Save your entries.
23) Now the Infotype is created and ready to use.
24) If you want to change the layout of the Infotype as per your requirementu2026
25) In the PM01 initial screenu2026Select u2018Screenu2019 radio button and give 2000 as the screen name, then click on edit.
26) In the next screen.. Select u2018Layout Editoru2019 and click u2018Changeu2019.
27) Screen default layout appearsu2026here you can design/modify the screen..change the attributes of the fields..etc.
28) Save and activate. (Donu2019t forget to u2018Activate at every level
i think u have to select CI_INCLUDE while enhanceing the Standrad Infotype

Approver name as changed field in infotype instead of WF-BATCH

HI Experts,
I am working scenirio webdynpro with workflow. When user submits the reocrd from webdynpro screen it should be stored in custom infotype. Creating record process should be done through workflow backgroud step.
In above scenirio ,Changed By filed in infotype as WF-BATCH. But i need to display user name in that field.
Please refer below image FYI.

In standard infotype 2002 has already field UNAME, So no need to add field in infotype.
I have tried like p2002-UNAME = 'SCNUSER'.
But it didn't work because updation done by backgroud through workflow.
Please let me know in you find any alternative solution.

Actually in my company one field require from which date the car allowance is started.
For that one date field is require on PA30 screen ..

1) Add fields to Details(for Position/OrgUnit/Employee) window in OrgChart

You need to configure the integration schema to "extract" these fields in order for them to be available to OrgChart. I believe the file is called downloadSchema.xml and is found in your build folder. It is not the one in the SAPExtractor folder (that is for Staged). 
2) Display future dated Organizational Structure in OrgChart 
We also have requirement to display future dated OrganizationalStructure. 
The future dated Organizational Structure should ONLY availablefor people from HR and executives. 
How can we do this? 
 
This is not possible as OrgChart only displays one version of the OrgChart (the present dated structure).
 
3) Security Setting 
Regarding to the question above, how can we create the security roles (in Nakisa) for therequiremets listed below?

- The security setting in Nakisa OrgChart allows every employee can see all organizations and other related objects.
 
Your bottom requirement is standard - unless you secure an item then every employee will be able to see all data.
 
In order to configure manager security you will need to undertake some XML configuration. This is not advisable unless you have experience of configuring the XML files, particularly with security as it is highly complex configuration. There are a couple of consultancies with specialist skills (Emeritis, ROC, Nakisa) that have the expertise to perform this type of configuration.
 
In order to do this you need to configure an authentication source and populate the user population and rolemapping sections of the LoginConfiguration_<type>.xml in the Authentication folder of your build. <type> refers to the type of authentication you are using (SAP logon forms, Portal integration with Logon Tickets etc). You will then need to map the roles in RoleMapping.xml in the Security folder of your build and then configure each role in Roles.xml. You need to create a hierarchyscope for each dataelement you are restricting data for and then add the security keyword to the sections in AppResources.xml that you are restricting with this particular scope.

General steps are
Step 1
Using transaction PM01 chose the 'Enhance Infotype tab' and press the create 'All' button.
Step 2
Enter the new fields you wish to add to the Infotype.
Step 3
Once saved and activated the new fields will appear in the Infotype screen and database table

Use of COMnn/NUMnn fields in infotype 0032 (Internal Data)

Hi,
Please advise how to use the COMnn /NUMnn fields in infotype 0032 (Internal Data). Those fields are not available as screenfields in the screens of MP003200 and also therefore available for configuration in v_t588m. Those fields look suspiciosly as being mean to provide a subview of it0105 but again not sure how that should work?

Hi Philipp,
The fileds you are referring to are not showing on my system either.
Yet, we are only talking about dynpro 2000, aren't we ?
If they are not present on the screen, there is no way to show them through customization.
If you want to use them, one approach would be to create a custom-specific subscreen and add the standard field in it (I already did that in the past).
There is a 2306 dynpro with a Q-structure that seems to use some of these fields.

in portal-iview i want to add a field.
when i go to 'portal-content -> open the iview with right click -> preview' and then
do ctrl-alt-right-mouse click i got to the customizing of the fields.
i know how to HIDE fields there, but i don't know how to add fields ? in the list
of the fields the necessary fields are available, BUT i only have to options:
hide -> YES or NOT PERSONALIZED
any ideas ?

the root element of this fields does NOT have the option 'decorate'.
it is the quoata overview of ESS : sap.com/ess~quotas
the top of the tree has option 'decorate', but this is above the necessary table where
i select the data.

We have a requiremnt where we need to add 2 fields ( profit center-PRCTR & description-CEPCT-LTEXT ) to structure CCSS. This structure is attached to library 1VK.
Is it possible to add fields directly to a structure or do I need to create a new structure and attach it to a new library.
If any one of this is possible, how can I do this ?

Hi,
You have two options to enter data type while creating new field in table.
1. User standard data types i.e. mandt, kunnr etc..to use it u need to press "Predefined type" button present on top of table fields.
2. User custom data elements...this data elements you creates when you want to have data field specified to your required length.

I have got to change my LO datasource which is running on production, 2lis_va_vatim, i need to add 2 fields to the exisitng DS from Comm Stru, so could anyone point me inthe right direction, Hoow to Add the fields with out disturbing the production,
and the same way i need to cgane my DSO aswell for new fields, please tell me how to meet this.

Hi Kiran,
Before applying your changes in Production do the below steps:
1)run V3 job as immediate, which picks data to delta queue and delete the acive V3 job.
2)run the IP which loads data to BW(Delta IP).
3)Apply your changes to the 2lis_va_vatim and DSO.
i)Do the changes(adding your fields to 2lis_va_vatim and DSO)in DEV and active the 2lis_va_vatim and DSO.(insert this in transports).
ii)first apply the R3 transport and then BW side.
4)from now on wards your 2 fileds will get populated in BW side.
5)Maintain the V3 job for 2lis_va_vatim in R3.
