Add Infotype 0045(Loans) to Personal Profile

Hi All,
I am currently on EHP6 and i am trying to add Infotype 0045 to personal profile application but i am facing issues.
I have followed the steps with few exceptions from the below link:
Adding any Info Type IN ESS in EHP5/6 through WebDynpro Configuration
I have added the infotypes in HRPAD and V_T7XSSPERSUBTYP.
I have created all the required configuration(FORM_UIBB, LIST_UIBB and OVP_COMPONENTS).
I have created proper wiring as well and implemented the Default start date BADI as well.
I have already make it to work for few other Infotypes.
I am not sure why is it not working for IT0045.
Please let me know in case you have any views on this.

Hi,
i have already checked all the settings and they all look fine.
However, to be on the safer side i have also EDITED the same configurations and wiring to make it work for other infotype, and it works correctly for others.
The problem is something specific to IT0045.

Infotype 0045 enhavcement and user exit

Hi all,
I am facing a very peculiar problem. I am supposed to modify infotype 0045. In this infotype, there are three tabs - basic data, conditions AND PAYMENTS. I have to create another additional tab - permissions such that it should be the first tab. When I am doing so in pm01, it is behaving peculiarly - it is not allowing me to acces that tab - saying that "Protected tab titles are not supported. Please suggest what to do.
Also I have to make a user exit for infotype 0045 so that the system checks for the infotype 0045 - loans, If a person has already applied for loan( i.e. the infotype 0045 for a particular person is already fillled) or if he is a trainee or on deputation, the system should not allow to save the infotype 0045 for that person and should give an error message saying permission not granted.
Please suggest some solution for this.

we can use the enhancement/user exit

2. In that there are 2 fms.,
3. The 2nd fm, is for valiation purpose,
ie. checking before saving.

Infotype 0045 issue

Hi all,
I am modifying infotype 0045 (loans). In this infotype there is a tab - basic data. In this tab, there is a field end of loan(P0045-DLEND). This field is greyed out by default and the value gets calculated automatically depending on some conditions. I made this field input enabled by going into its layout ( screen no 2001). When I did this, its allowing me to enter a date value in this field. But the moment I press enter, The value which I had input vanishes and the calculated value there. I want my value to stay there in the field P0045-DLEND.
Please suggest what to modify and where. I am really in need of the solution as the times r short.

Hi,
I think you can get it by Deactivating the PCR XLON or deactivating P0045 function in the respective schema.

User-Exit for Infotype 0045

Hi,
      In infotype 0045 (loans) there is a field for Intrest rate on the loan..as of now this field is a drop down...is it possible through some user-exit to change the type of the field from drop down to input field so that user can enter the intrest rate manually

Company Loans Infotype 0045

Hi Everyone,
Friends I am first time configuring a new loan in the the Loans Infotype 0045
I have done all the required settings , but while i am trying to enter the amount , a warning message is saying that " a Maximum of 0 amount can be approved" .
I am not able to understand why its not taking the loan amount as mentioned in the infotype........I have also maintained the loan eligibity check table.....
Can anybody help me....as if doing something wrong........

Hi,
You have to maintain the Max Limit for the Loan Grouping in Table V_T7INJ3.
Default Loan grouping for the loan & Allowance group can be found in Feature 40LGR
This will remove the warning message.
After i saw your thread, i checked in my client as well. I too got the same warnning message. When i checked in the IMG and tried modifying the loans, at this table, i found the warning removed.

Updation of 'Loan Amount Paid' in infotype 0045

Hi experts,
My requirement is to update value for 'Loan Amount Paid' field in infotype 0045 (PA30). In PA0045 table, i could not find this field. But when i see the technical characteristics of this field, it shows the reference structure as Q0045-PAYLO field.
can anyone pls tell me how to update value for this field in infotype 0045?

Displays the total of loan payments paid to the employee up until now.

This field only serves for display purposes. You cannot make any entries.

ESS WDA Personal profile add explanation text

Hi,
Our requirement is to add explanation text to the detailed screens of personal profile wda app. I tried this with personalization and WDA OVP configuration options, but with no success. Is there any way we can do this?

Personal Profile service for Brazil - Type Conflict for infotype 0002

Hello All,
We are enabling personal profile service for Brazil. And we did all the required configuration for that.
When I access the personal info service I can see the overview page with personal data. But when I click on display link, I get the error message saying -
Type conflict with ASSIGN in program CL_HRPA_UI_CONVERT_0002_BR
Is there any configuration missing?

Error analysis
    You attempted to assign a field to a typed field symbol,

How to correct the error

Change in Personal Profile layout in Ehp6

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement in which we want to show the buttons for each subtype of the infotype instead of 'Button Choice'. I have attached the screen to explain it better.
For Example for Address Service in Personal Profile , we want to show individual buttons for 'Temporary residence ' , 'Home Address' etc..
I have made the Z copy of - HRESS_AC_PERSINFO having Z copy of component Configuration - ZHRESS_CC_PER_OVP. By executing it in Administration mode I could able add the buttons to the tool bar but don't see any option to assign actions to it.
Please check the attachment for better understanding .
What are your thoughts about how to implement this.

Which Ehp pack your are in , we are in Ehp6 . I did the change for use cases for subtypes in V_T7XSSPERSUBTY but still see the button choice (Add ) and not individual buttons for subtype.
The screen shot you have give of address overview page is the one we want to achieve.
Can you explain how did you got that.

The add button option depends use case for which you will have to customize the view V_T7XSSPERSUBTY .

Media API on Personal Profile

Hi,
I'm trying to write an appliation which uses the Camera on my PDA. I'm using IBM J9 on the PDA with Personal Profile, and my application uses lots of AWT widgets, so it's not possible to move to Midlets.
I was trying to add the MIDP library to my application to be able to access the camera. For some reason I can't do this, because J2ME applications can only use one profile. Is there anyways to add the Multi Media APIs to Personal Profile applications ?
Can anyone give me some advice on how to make this work ? or point me to an alternative way of accessing the camera on my PDA.

Personal Profile compile

Hi all,
I recently downloaded the cdc personal profile. I've managed to compile the profile on Red Hat 9 ( compiled cleanly...only some minor warnings ). When I try to run the HelloWorld example packaged within the democlasses.zip file ( should display a window with Hello World in big red letters ), I get the following exception:

at java.lang.Class.forName(Ljava/lang/String;)Ljava/lang/Class;(Class.java:127)
at java.awt.GraphicsEnvironment.getLocalGraphicsEnvironment()Ljava/awt/GraphicsEnvironment;(GraphicsEnvironment.java:72)
So, I traced throught the code. After doing a little debugging, I discovered that the GraphicEnvironment retrieves null for the java.awt.graphicsenv environment variable. Noticing that a doPrivileged call is made, my first thought was that it was a security thing. So I added the java.awt.graphicsenv entry within my java.policy file. Reran the example and still the same exception. I'm baffled as to why a call to retrieve this environment variable is always returning null. I can add a call to System.getProperties() within the GraphicsEnvironment class and it shows that that entry is set to sun.awt.gtk.GdkGraphicsEnvironment. Has anyone encountered this problem? What I'm noticing is that when I call System.getProperty( String name ) it seems to always return null?? I tried:
System.getProperty( "java.awt.graphicsenv" );
System.getProperty( "awt.toolkit" );
System.getProperty( "java.awt.AlphaComposite.SRC_OVER.isRestricted" );
All returned null! Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I know there is a rpm version of the personal profile - I've tried it and it works great - but I really need to be able to compile it for myself as I'm going to have to provide some porting libraries and classes.

I figured it out!!
It had to do with the makefiles that were responsible for generating those environment variables. More specifically, personal/build/share/defs_basis.mk and personal/build/share/rules.mk. The defs.mk defined a SYSTEM_PROPERTIES variable. It goes through a bunch of if statements to determine which environment variables will be set. Statement looks like this:
SYSTEM_PROPERTIES += "name=value\n"
Well, its the rules.mk file that parses that SYSTEM_PROPERTIES variable to generate a system_properties.c file. The line that does this is:
$(AT) echo $(SYSTEM_PROPERTIES) | sed -e 's/ *$.*$=$.*$/ PUTPROP (props, "\1", "\2");/' >> .system_properties.c
This line echos SYSTEM_PROPERTIES and pipes that output to sed which will then parse out each "name=value". Then it will print out PUTPROP( props, "name", "value" );
The problem that I was encountering was when this line parsed the SYSTEM_PROPERTIES it was parsed as follows:
name1=value1n name2=value2n .... the \n characters were not being recognized! Therefore all of the name=value pairs were being output on one line. Sed is expecting these things to be on their own line. Therefore the environment variables were not being set correctly by the System. So I made a minor modification to the echo command to interpret the "/n":
$(AT) echo -e $(SYSTEM_PROPERTIES) | sed -e 's/ *$.*$=$.*$/ PUTPROP (props, "\1", "\2");/' >> .system_properties.c
The -e tells echo to interpret any escape characters within the String. Made the fix, recompiled, and everything works great!!

IBM Device Developer and Personal Profile

Hi,
There are two workarounds for Running Personal Profile on IBM Websphere Studio Device Developer 5.5 ...
1) When adding a build from the build wizard, deselect the check boxes for "Java libraries not to include in jxe/jar file" on the Jxelink options page of the wizard. This will include all of the necessary Java(tm) library class in the JXE.
2) Add the following VM arguments in the Arguments tab of the launch configuration:
-Xbootclasspath:C:\wsdd\wsdd5.0\ive\runtimes\common\ive\lib\jclFoundation\classes.zip;C:\wsdd\wsdd5.0\ive\runtimes\common\ive\lib\jclFoundation\locale.zip;C:\wsdd\wsdd5.0\ive\runtimes\common\ive\lib\charconv.zip;C:\wsdd\wsdd5.0\ive\runtimes\common\ive\lib\jclPPro\ppro-ui-win.zip -jcl:foun

Click on classpath In configuration wirzard and uncheck the default class path and add the ppro-ui-win.zip using Add external jars/jxes button...
it working fine....

More customization for personal profile pages.

I think we could really use some more ability as to customizing profile pages.
Maybe the ability to showcase specific songs without compromising the ability to hide listening activity?
If that was added, we could place specific songs that we like on our profiles, and still be able to keep our activity private.
Maybe the ability to set our own profile pictures, for those of us who didn't connect with Facebook?
That would be a very important feature that is currently lacking.
Maybe the ability to set a biography?
Feature links to social media accounts?
Convert an account to an Artist Page?
Set a custom color?
Add a banner image?
Post statuses?
Have a Green/Online and Red/Offline mode so that you can tell who's online.
Here's a big one: being able to find user profiles without knowing the spotify:user:code ?
There are TONS of other things that could be added to improve the look and feel of personal profile pages. There are more than I can possibly think of or come up with.
I would really like to see personal profile pages improved.

I think this is an awesome Idea. In addition to all of the additions you suggested, I think that there should also be a "Music Preferences" or a "Music Taste” or a "My Music" tab to the right of the followers tab. This "Music Preferences" tab should show the following if the user so choses to disclose: 1.Top 10 favorite artist, top 10 favorite songs, top 10 favorite albums and top 10 favorite playlist charts that the user can update at any time. (You could offer more top 10 favorite charts the possibilities are endless there) 2. Favorite genres 3. Favorite instruments. Do they play an instrument? 4.Concerts they have been to / Concerts they are planning on seeing or want to see This will allow one to easily search through other Spotify users, and immediately identify whether or not they have a similar taste in music. I know the idea of personal top list was brought up here " https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/Bring-Back-Personal-Top-Lists/idi-p/1046692 " by which is a great idea. I just think that the personal top list as well as the other recommendations could all be put on one page. Pretty much the point of all of this should be to help users better connect with each other and therefore help them discover new music.
