Add music to DVD.

Hi,
I am making a DVD with video clips and I want to add some mp3's into it.
I want the mp3's to be playable in selection.
How do I do that?

For starters, do not use MP3.
The sample rate is almost certainly going to be wrong (44.1KHz as opposed to the required 48KHz) and the recompression will sound dreadful. Try to use WAV files at 16/48 resolution instead.
As far as the rest of it goes, this is easy.
Import all your tracks, make each one an individual timeline.
Create a main menu with a "Play All" button, and a "Play Track" button.
The "Play All" should go to a playlist where you add all timelines in the order you want the whole lot to play back.
Then, the "Play Track" button should go to a submenu with a separate button for each track pointing to it's timeline.
Set the End Actions of the timelines to revert back to the submenu, and the end action of the playlist to the main menu.

Correct. When you purchase devices, they would have stated the OS they needed to work, on the box. This can be overlooked, but it is very important to check when purchasing.
You current OS, is so old, that they technology build into the new devices, is not something your OS understands. It didn't exist when your OS was created, and therefore you need to upgrade the OS to work with the newer technology of these devices.

If it's a fourth generation or earlier model, you need to download iTunes 10.6.3; the newer versions won't run on 10.5.8.
If it's a fifth generation iPod touch, you need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD, which requires an Intel Mac, and then run Software Update. This also works with earlier iPods but isn't the best solution.

Add music on iDVD (iLife 11) hangs every time

I'm using iDVD to produce a DVD from a movie created using iMovie. Both from iLife 11.
I have Lion - all software is up to date.
Every single time I try to add music to the menu of my DVD iDVD crashes. I've dragged and dropped music from Finder and dragged it from the iTunes/Audio selection in the media panel in iDVD. Every time the spinning wheel forever and the only option is force quit and try again.
Anyone else face this? Any bug fixes for iDVD in the works?

Not likely since Apple has discontinued support of iDVD.
Have you tried creating a new project and add music to it?
Try this basic troubleshooting fix :
1 - delete the IDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete IDVD'S cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iDVD folder.

iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

It wants to erase your iPhone because you are not syncing it to the same library.
Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. To use a device with a new computer you transfer the content from the old computer (or its backup) directly to the new computer, not the device to the new computer. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

Regarding iOS 7.0 you have totally lost the plot.
We buy apple why?
Quality.
Intuitive interface.
Stable software.
Design.
All that Steve Jobs consider sacrosanct.
Quality is about ongoing support longevity of product.
Its not about trying to sell to every person on the planet, others are way ahead of you.
So try respective the customers you have, it wont be long before theirs a better operating system and your lead in hardware is marginal.

If you have an iPhone or iPad do not update to ISO 7 unless you want an operating system that looks like windows 8. The graphics looks like it was designed by a artistically challenged mongoose and the operating system is not intuitive something apple users expect. Overly complicated ugly and generally change for the sake of apples paranoia since the death of Steve Jobs.

iPods are not backups or data transfer tools.
Move the music from the computer where it exists to the computer where you want it.
Then sync the music to the iPod.

We always manually manage our music (no auto sync). iTunes is up to date on the PCs. My husband uses our joint iTunes account on his pc, but once again, has a different collection in his library from those on the other machines. He can't load any music from his PC to his iphone 4. I can load music from my mac library to my iphone 4s, but cannot load from my pc library to my iphone 4s. How can I switch my main library that it syncs with from the mac to the pc?

I want to learn how to create a video in iMovie. My goal is to be able to take many vidoes and place them into one. I would also like to delete scenes and and add transitions. I am also hoping to add music to the video I create.

Can't add music to ipod touch even though computer and itunes recognize it

I have an ipod touch 4th generation that has suddenly stopped allowing me to add any music to it. It worked absolutely great with no problems for about a year and suddenly when I load it up on itunes I can't add any music to it at all. if I try and drag any music from my computer on to it, I get this no icon as you can see
Same if I try and add music from my itunes library.
I've done pretty much everything I can think of to try and fix this, I've completely wiped itunes from my computer and re-installed, I've made sure that my ipods ios is up to date, I've reset my ipod, I've completely erased my ipod and restored it to factory settings. I have an old backup but it fails every time I try and restore it, saying that the backup session failed. I've tried resetting the lockdown folder as recommended but when I delete it, itunes can't connect to my ipod, so I ended up restoring the lockdown folder back to where it was from my trash can. I've made sure all my drivers are up to date and my computer is AMD so i know its not an intel chipset/ipod issue. I've turned off my antivirus and computer security programs and that made no difference at all.
These problems are the same when tried on another computer and I'm sure I've done other things as well but I'm drawing a blank trying to think them up.
I have an old ipod mini that has absolutely no problems at all using the same itunes and computer so I'm pretty sure this issue is located just on this ipod. I bought it used on amazon so the warranty and service coverage have already expired, so I kinda have to figure out how to fix it myself..
Anybody help at all with this would be greatly appreciated

I don't see how it could be windows causing the issue since my other ipod works fine with this installation of windows on this computer and I don't at the moment have anyway to back up what I have on my computer in order to re-install windows, but maybe if nobody else has another solution I'll look into it. If it does Not belong to you... Then Yes you will need to Purchase it.
