Add network card to virtual machine and all available virtual networks aren't showing

Have a Hyper V 2012 cluster....we have a network card cabled for our DMZ network ...it's enabled.
Under a host in cluster in  Virtual Switch Manager we have the virtual switch configured as external and it matches up with NIC number in the OS network connections...NIC 9.  It's configured like the other virtual switches that are showing.
On our Hyper V Mgr console...under VM Networks..the DMZ network shows...I checked...settings same as other networks.
Still on our Hyper V Mgr console..under Logical Networks...the DMZ network shows...I checked...settings same as other networks.
When we go into Virtual Machine Mgr...hardware configuration for VM we created...add network adapter...the DMZ network doesn't show up in the list for VM networks so we can't assign IP or really add NIC in general.
I was able to go to an actual Hyper V host...under Hyper V Mgr that the VM was running on this particular host and I was able to add a network card/virtual switch..VM can ping devices...however if I go into the Hyper V Mgr in the Hyper V Mgr server and go
to properites of VM...a NIC is not listed.

    Hello Cooper,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iPhone 5.  I would be concerned too if my iPhone was not powering on.  I found an article with steps you can take when you encounter an issue like this.  I recommend following the steps below:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?
    Contact Apple Support.

If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go

  • Syching my iphone4 after updating to ios6 and now half my photos aren't showing up in my phone.

syching my iphone4 after updating to ios6 and now half my photos aren't showing up in my phone.

Did you restore from backup on iTunes or did you use iCloud?
Did you sync with iTunes? Is iTunes section for photos checked to sync all your photo locations?
Also, with photo streaming sometimes you need to switch from Album to photo stream to see some photos.
If your photos are on your computer still, they can be added back. if not and you depended solely on iCloud, then they may be gone.

    Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

  • I'm at a gym where I can plug my ipod into the machines to listen to music and save the battery, it worked fine and all of a sudden, it is showing not supported, other peoples still work.

I am at a gym where each machine has a port for ipods so you can listen to music through the machine and not run your battery down.  My worked fine for two months now all of a sudden, it is showing "not supported" and no longer works.  Anything I can reset on my ipod to get this working again?

Have you tried using a different cable?  Try cleaning out the iPod's dock connector port making sure that it is clean and clear of debris as well as free of damage to the pins.

  • I am trying to add movies from my Panasonic lumix to I photo but they aren't showing up.  If I try to import into Imovie they also don't show up on the sd card as importable movies.  I am using I photo 9.2 on 10.6.8 and never had a problem before.

My camera can be set to record as motion JPEG or light AVCHD.  It was set for AVCHD.  Could that be affecting it?  If so, can you think of any way I can load these.  I am trying to add them to an IMovie I started from a different source.

    Stevomacrocket wrote:
    I had this problem.
The answer is to close iphoto (you might have to force quit iphoto if it starts automatically when you connect the camera or insert the SD card) and open imovie.
Imovie then presents an import page which easily imports the video into imovie.
It is a real bad idea to "force Quit" iPhoto - if it has any update activity going on that you interrupt you can corrupt your library an close data or even photos - Force quit should ONLY be used in an emergency where there is no other alternative and you are positive that nothing is going on in iPhoto

  • How do I use pots on my client machine to change values, from the field, on my server machine and all other client machines?

I am using Lookout 4.5, build 12, and I am having a problem concerning pots. I have data tables created for the different size sewer stations my system monitors. For each station, there are setpoints for starting and stopping of the pumps. I want to be able to change the setpoints for a station on the client file using a pot and have it change on all other machines running Lookout. I did this in 3.8 using DDE, but I don't want to use DDE anymore.
I created a pot on the client file and URL'ed it to a pot on the server. On the server I created a table with a generic member "A" named "Lead Setp" and then created a member "A1" named
"C5_1LeadSetp" then a member "A2" named "C3_1LeadSetp" and so on....
In this table I connected the generic member "A" to the Pot I created on the server, and I connected A1 to its corresponding setpoint signal coming in from the field.
On the client file I connected (in the table similar to the one on the server but with all signals for the station) the "A1" member to the setpoint signal coming in from the field, and I connected the "A" member to the Pot I created on the client file which is URL'ed to the pot on the server file.
But, when I change the value of the pot on the client file, only the pot on the server and the "A" member in the table on the server change to the value of the pot on the client. The "A1" member whose screen I am changing the values from on the client does not change! This is the last thing I have to do and my file will be completely converted to 4.0. Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks for any responses..

    Jason Phillips

    Hi Jason,
If I understood your task correctly, you want to change the Setpoints on the Server DataTable using Pots from different clients. And also reflect these changes on the clients locally.
You correctly remoted the Pots on the Clients to the corresponding Pots on the Server. However, you do not need tables on your clients. All you need is Expressions on each client to the particular cell of the Clients.
So, to summarize: On the Server, the Pots write to the DataTable. And since the Pots on the Clients are remoted to these Pots on the Server, you can affect any change using these Pots. Because of the common remote source (Server Pots, i.e.) all of these Pots will always be in sync. Finally, to get the Setpoints on the Clients, just insert Expressio
    ns to the Server's DataTable.
I am attaching a simple example (exmpl.zip) which does this. There are three processes -- My_Server, My_Client1, and My_Client2. I had them setup on the same machine so the paths are all process relative, but you can always change those to computer relative or absolute and move the client processes to diff machines.
    Hope this helps.
    Rgds,
    Khalid

  • Time Machine Eats All Available Space

I have a new iMac 20 inch, using a WD "My Book" 1 TB drive. Setting up time machine, it uses all the drive space until error for "out of space".  I have 300G of space used on the iMac hard drive, and it seems to do the math correctly on how much to back up and how long that will take.  But, after the little bar fills up for the back up it keeps going, counting up the space on the external drive while saying 5 seconds left, and eventually it fills up the drive backing up 300G and writing it out as 980 G.
Any ideas on what causes this behavior?  I've removed all the files from the WD external, and used disk utility to make sure there's no structure problems on the external drive.  Support pages have no information on this - I've gone through the troubleshooting pages already.
(By the way, the new support community seems to encourage cryptic new discussion titles, since the new discussion box seems to be the search box).

This does not seem to be going as expected.  I was expecting some diagnostic information, but only the start messages are found:

I think the problem might be related to how migration assistant copied over programs from my older computer (an iMac G5), which contained a Western Digital utility of some kind that seems to be crashing, if I'm interpreting this right.  Maybe there was some software upgrade I should have done?  But, the drive mounts and I've been able to read and write to it:

  • Time Machine DELETED all of my data & will only show backed up data Jan 10

My harddrive was replaced by Apple. I was not concerned about data loss because my time machine backs up every night. When I got the computer back, I followed the directions for the computer to use a time machine backup. But, when it pulled up the drive, the only date available was Jan 2010. Thinking I could backup when I got into the system, I went ahead with that date back up. The computer restarted and I, after a few tries, was able to access my backup as of March 18, 2011, elated, I hit "restore" and the file began to copy.
Near the end of the copy, an error message popped up indicating that the copy could not complete because of duplicate names (?). Thinking I could just restart the restore and fix, I went back into time machine but there existed no backups between Jan 2010 and last night.
Before the restore started, the files were there, my user names were there, everything was there, now they are gone!! I cannot find an entire year of my life. Can someone help, please!! And, no, I am not sophisticated enough to have erased my time machine backups.
I talked to Apple Support and they were at a loss and said they couldn't explain how, as it appears, that time capsule, as some point during the copying, backup-ed over the existing data and that all my data is now lost.

When your Mac first started up, and you got a window asking if you wanted to +Transfer your information,+ what did you select?
I selected to transfer my information from a Time Machine back-up. The lastest date it had was Jan 2010, which was strange because it backs up every hour (or at least it was supposed to)
That sounds like Time Machine had started a new "sequence" of backups in January 2010, and transferred your data from the old set.
After I got to the user screens, I signed in and went into time machine. It was a little tricky because it took all of my settings (passwords) back to 2010, so I it took me a minute to remember what my server password was. When I got into the star wars, after a couple of times entering the time machine, March 2011 magically showed up. I selected the hard drive and hit restore.
That explains more. Unfortunately, Apple does not make it clear that you can't do that. You can't restore the system you're running from that way.
Yes, I have a time capsule. How do I get to that? Honestly, I thought that was what I was in.
Yes, that's what I thought; you hadn't mentioned it before, and I wanted to be sure.
As mentioned above, what I think happened is, for some reason, in January 2010, Time Machine started a new set of backups, and restored from the old set instead of the new one.
    To confirm that, do this:
From a Finder window, in +Column View,+ locate your Time Capsule in the sidebar and double-click it. You should get a display something like this:

    |
See if there are two (or more) +sparse bundles+ listed, as in the sample.
Post back with the results (or if you have trouble getting that screen -- I don't know how familiar you are with this).
    That should clarify the situation.

Did a little more digging. The backup is case-sensitive and i think my hard drive is case ignorant, which explains the copy fail. how do I fix?
    No. That's different, unfortunately.
As odd as it seems, your backup drive can be case-sensitive. In fact, that's the what Time Machine uses when you let it format a backup disk for you.
The problem is if the old +*internal HD+* was case-sensitive, but the new one is not, it could explain part of what you're seeing.
All Macs come with the internal HD set up as case-ignorant, so if you bought it new, and didn't change it (which requires erasing and reinstalling everything), that's very unlikely.

  • I have two 11 year olds with iPads that I have on home sharing.  I bought gift cards for them (to their iCloud accounts) but they aren't showing up.  How do they redeem?

HHow do the gift cards I sent to my 11 year olds on my home sharing accounts get redeemed?  We can't seem to find them. They are signed into iTunes with their iCloud email address but the gift cards don't show up.

I might add that I purchased the gifts through the iTunes Store while signed into my account and sent them to their iCloud accounts.  They both have their gmail accounts as backup email accounts on iTunes and haven't received an email or notification about the gift cards at all.

  • How come all of my movies aren't showing on my apple tv?

I've got a lot of movies downloaded "through itunes i must add".  Most of them are from digital copies when i bought blu rays.  My problem is not all of them are showing on my apple tv when i go to watch them without having to stream them through my Mac or iphone.  Why is this?  For instance i have Captain America downloaded from a DC.  But it is not showing in the "purchased" section.

    16GB+3G AT&T Ipad
    Airport Extreme (4th Gen)

Not all movies will be available in iCloud since not all movie studios have agreed. Even those that did have not licensed all content.
