Add new and share photo stream

Hi All,
I cannot create a new photo stream in my iphone, and cannot share a photo stream. In settings for photo stream there is no option for sharing streams.
Anyone know what´s wrong?
Latest update is done.
Btw, cannot share stream in my mac mini either...
Thanks for answers,
Johan

  • TS3989 I don't see a Share Photo Stream checkbox in my iPhoto preferences - how can I download shared photostreams to my mac?

I'm using iPhoto 9.4.2 and trying to view my shared photo streams on my macbook air. The instructions on the apple website tell me I need to select the checkbox on the Share Photo Stream in iPhoto preferences. This is an image of my preference pane and I can't see the relevant checkbox. Any help appreciated...

However, I don't see the 10.8 requirement mentioned in any of the apple support documents for photo streams.
    I quote:
To use Shared Photo Streams, you need any of the following:
An iOS device with iOS 6 or later installed
A Mac with OS X v10.8.2 or later and iPhoto 9.4 or later or Aperture 3.4 or later
A Windows computer with iCloud Control Panel 2.1 or later installed

  • My Camera Roll photos are not going to My Photo Stream. I have Wi-Fi and My Photo Stream is turn on.

My Camera Roll photos are not going to My Photo Stream on my iPhone. I have Wi-Fi and My Photo Stream is turn on(iCloud).

Not sure if you are referring to photos in the Camera Roll from before you turned Photo Stream on, but just in case you aren't aware, only new photos will go. Following quote is from: iCloud: My Photo Stream FAQ
When you turn on My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will automatically push to your photo stream.
iOS devices: New photos that you take automatically upload to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and connect to Wi-Fi. My Photo Stream doesn't push photos over cellular connections.

  • Why do i have camera roll AND my photo stream

i have NEVER understood what the difference between my camera roll and my photo stream. i just want one bucket for all my photos and videos. can someone help?

No no one had access to my ipod but me. The only thing I can think of is in Sept I bought the iphone 5s and rep at verizon told me I could get it at the new contract price if I gave up my unlimited data so I did. The next day I regretted giving up my unlimited data plan so I went back to see if they could undo it and they told me the only way would be to return the phone and wait for a new iphone because now there was a waiting list. So I returned the phone but I had already set it up with my icloud account. Rep at verizon said they would reset to factory settings. Now I'm thinking maybe they didn't and the photo belongs to the new person who bought that phone. Anyway just to be safe I changed my apple password and turned off photo stream.

  • My iPad camera photos will wirelessly sync with my iMac and iCLoud photo stream, but the videos do not, is USB connection the only way to transfer videos or is there also a wireless method?

My iPad camera photos will wirelessly sync with my iMac and iCLoud photo stream, but the videos do not, is USB connection the only way to transfer videos or is there also a wireless method?

Videos are not included with the Photo Stream. Photo Stream is for photos only.
There is not a wireless method for importing videos from the iPad's Camera Roll.

I don't know about your camera roll, but for photostream just do this:
Go into Settings > iCloud > Delete Account and then sign back in using your Apple ID information.
Make sure to do the same thing with your iTunes and App Store options.
Settings > iTunes and App Store > Click Email and sign out, then sign back in.

Thanks for responding. When I open the email and click on Subscribe to this Photo Stream, this is the message I get:
To subscribe to Pamela Mccormack’s “Baltimore Zoo” photo stream on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, open your invitation in the Mail app, and click the Subscribe button in the message.
To subscribe you need to be signed in to iCloud on:

  • I do not understand iPhoto and/or Photo Stream, help me?

I do not understand iPhoto to say the least. I've imported my photos which I have stored on an external networked hard drive. However after they've been uploaded to the iPhoto library, I've got NUMEROUS duplicates which seem to be showing as different events even though they are the same photo.
Another thing is that in Photo Stream which I have turned on my iPhone 4, I seem to have photos showing up in there that have nothing to do with a photo I've taken on my iPhone or manually dragged them to Photo Stream. They are mostly some old photos that I've NEVER had on my iPhone at all. How did they get there. My photos that I've taken with the phone or saved on my Iphone are there just like I was expecting but most of these photos, and this is while I'm on my iMac, are just a bunch of random photos. I don't even know how to delete these photos in Photo Stream to try and start over.
Could someone help me understand iPhoto and/or Photo Stream, these are two different questions please!

Is there a specific file that iPhoto makes and stores on my computer or the external drive that has the iPhoto library? I want to delete all instances of it and try reloading my library.
Also, how do I reload or start fresh a Photo Stream library on my computer? What's weird is that the photos on my iMac are not what's on my iPhone. I mean I have the ones that are on my iPHone are within the iPhoto's Photo Stream but then there is also a bunch of other photos that I have no idea how they got there.

  • When I take a photo it goes to camera roll and my photo stream. This doubles the memory being used. Can I delete the camera roll?

When I take a photo it goes to camera roll and my photo stream. This doubles the memory being used. Can I delete the camera roll? This seems pointless to have the same pictures twice. My Photo Stream pictures upload to my PC, so why should I have the same photos in Camera Roll?
Am I supposed to delete pictures in camera roll after they go into My Photo Stream? Why can't I just take a picture and it go to photo stream on its own? My camera roll AND My Photo Stream go back to March 11, 2014

You're misinformed and have asked several questions that I'll try to tackle.
No it doesn't double the memory. The Photo Stream image is simply a pointer to what you have in your camera roll.
If you delete pictures from your camera roll, leaving them only in Photo Stream, you will lose those images forever if you don't then pull them out of Photo Stream on another connected device. Photo Stream is meant to be TEMPORARY cloud storage for your images. Read about it here: iCloud: My Photo Stream FAQ
You should ALWAYS offload your images if you want to keep them. See how to do that here: iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer

  • I have iphone 5 and enabled photo streaming but its not uploading

I have iphone 5 and enabled photo streaming but its not uploading

    Howdy harsac,
I have a helpful article about troubleshooting Photo Stream. Named iCloud: Photo Stream troubleshooting it can be found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3989.
    I would recommend this section:
I don't see photos in Photo Stream on my iOS device.
    Check the following:
From your Home screen, tap Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream, and make sure the slider is set to the ON position.
From the Home screen, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, make sure the slider is set to ON, and that your device is connected to a wireless network.
Ensure that Camera app is closed on the device where you took the photo. Photo Stream will not upload photos from an iOS device until the Camera app is closed.
Ensure your iOS device has not fallen below 20% battery power. To preserve battery life, Photo Stream downloading and uploading are disabled when the battery reaches this threshold. Downloading and uploading will resume once you charge your device, and the battery charge is greater than 20%.
    Regards,
    Sterling

What is the difference between the photo library and the photo stream on the I phone?

Photo Library stores photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync/transfer process.
