The database size is 600GB which is not a lot to copy and replicate. We may use rman else disk copying to create snapshot of database from master definition site.If you want to use Change-Based Recovery you can use RMAN Duplicate Database option.

Why can't i add new collections in ibooks?

List shows add new, but no text is added to list. There seems to be a limit to number of collections, not good. I have over 2g of books and having to search or scroll thru bookshelf is not productive, especially considering the way it alphabetizes things.

There is nothing about a limit to the number of collection published (that I know of), but I wouldn't be surprised if there is a maximum.

why don't you try it out?
Another route would be use customer APIs (TCA APIs)...which I am sure can achieve what you're looking for.

How can I add new sites to the "Most Visited"-Latest Headlines baqr?

In Windows XP I had a bar in Firefox where I could add frequently accessed sites such as news websites and brokerages.

Latest Headlines is a RSS Live feed and such feeds show a list that is retrieved from a website via an XML file.
You can't add items from or remove items from such a list.
"Most Visited" and "Recently Bookmarked" are examples of the so called [[Smart Bookmarks folders]] and are not real existing folders.
Such smart folders show a list created by a query of the places.sqlite database that stores the bookmarks and the history in Firefox 3.
The bookmarks that show up in such smart folder listing are stored elsewhere in another folder and any changes made are applied to the real bookmark or history item.
Such lists show a maximum of 10 entries by default and you add a new bookmark or visit a website then a new item is added at the top and the entry at the bottom disappears from that list.
The items that are removed from the list are not gone, but merely do not show up anymore in that list.
You can open a bookmark from such a list in a tab and click the star on the location bar or use the Bookmark menu item 'Bookmark This Page' to see the location (folder) and edit the properties of the bookmark (name, location, folder) and move it to another folder or remove the bookmark.

My toolbar won't add new sites when I want it too, I tried resetting it, but it did not help, what can I do?

So I am not second guessing too much, tell us where you are in fact plugging it in. I merely mentioned the keyboard USB socket (not even knowing what computer type you have (it helps to put that in your user profile) and maybe you don't even have a keyboard socket) because I (and others) have tried plugging a flash drive into my keyboard's USB and gotten a "too little power" message.

Add a new Promoted Sites webpart

I want to add a promoted sites web-part to a page in a (sub-) site collection (of my SharePoint online site).
It seems obvious, but I can't find it (& Google/Bing aren't helping). I know the promoted sites is 'special' so maybe it needs special handling.

Based on your description, you want to add the promoted sites web part to a page in SharePoint online.
By design, the promoted sites web part cannot be added to other pages directly. There is a workaround.

I have one task that create new site collection having separate content database. and that content database site collection limit should be only one (it must contain one site collection and note more than one )
This total functionality should happen when I am saving one list item (dynamically generate new site collection )

Add new user action disabled sharepoint

I am not able to add new user as an admin user. If I add admin as site collection admin then only I am able to see new user add action in sharepoint groups and I can not do that. I
gave manage permissions rights but it does not allow to see new action in sharepoint groups.

According to your post, my understanding is that you have an issue about add use in a group.
Per my knowledge, when we add a user in the site collection administrator, the user would be assigned full control for the site.
Then he would see the add option in a group.
If you want to add a user as a site admin, we can assign him full control directly or add him to the site owner group.
What did you mean "am not able to add new user as an admin user. If I add admin as site collection admin then
only I am able to see new user add action in sharepoint groups and I can not do that."?
If the use is a site collection admin, he would get full control, and the add option would be display in the group.
It would be better if you can give us more information or screen print about this issue.

Problem with collection names getting replaced when creating new collections in Photoshop Elements 5.0

We have been using Photoshop Elements 5.0 a lot lately to organize many photos into collections. A new problem just arose when creating a new collection.
As we named the new collection and clicked on "OK" it replaced another existing collection with the new name. The photos from the old collection were still there but now under the new collection name. This happened at least three or four times, each time a different "old" collection was renamed. Does anyone know why this would happen?
This past week we have added at least 20 new collections with no problem prior to this. Adobe actually had to shut down when this happened. Each time we reopened Adobe it would happen again randomly renaming a different "old" collection when we tried to add the new one. Any insights would be much appreciated.

Unable to add new event in iCal, Lion 10.7.1

Hi,
On Lion 10.7.1, I can't seem to add new events to iCal.
I have tried the following:
1. 2-finger click on a day in the month-view. This pops out the menu and I can click on 'New Event', but after that, nothing happens.
2. Clicking on the '+' button at the top. This pops out the 'Create Quick Event' window. After typing in a new event and hitting return, nothing happens.
I can create a new event in the 'Day' and 'Week' view though.
iCal was working fine for me last week, but it seems to be broken since yesterday. I'm not sure if it stopped working after the 10.7.1 update.

Solved! Needed to check "Show All Day Events" in the View menu!

When I add new music to iTunes, it doesn't appear under artists or anywhere else in library.

The other night, I tried adding a bunch of music that I had sitting on my Seagate external hard drive to my iTunes library, which is also located on my external. I attempted to add around 1,500 songs at once. It was giving me problems at first and only added some of the music so I tried again. Now I have a problem.
When I add new music, iTunes only recognizes that I added it after I close iTunes are restart it. But then, the music doesn't show up under artists or anything. The new music shows up under the Recently Added smart playlist, the folder is located in the iTunes library, and when you search for the music it says its there, but it's not under artists or in the song list or anything.
Example:
1. Added music from Abandon All Ships! (who I didn't have before), but they don't show up under artists despite the fact that iTunes says the music is there.
2. Added music from Whitechapel (who I had before), but the album doesn't show up with the rest.
Hopefully this makes sense the way I explained it. It's all rather frustrating.

A Link in the left navigtion bar or Quick Launch
when clicked it can open a new page and on that page there is an “Add New” type of
button.
Then on that page you can add as many links as the page will allow, each

To add a new link on the left nav:
You can go to site settings> navigation> add a link under "current navigation".
For the second requirement:
You can create a "links" list and add it to that second page. This way you can have that "Add Links" option and add links.
