Add new Language

Hi,
I want to add a new language to SAP BO.
And i want to perform the same operations that we can perform on other languges: change, ...
I think that i have to create a new language.LRF file under \Gui\
and try to make the system Read from it.
does anybody know how?

Individual languages cannot be added by a phone owner/user.
A specific/select set/combination of languages is put on devices intended for specific regions/countries.
This means that all possible combinations of languages that individual people might wish to see do not exist (such software packages, firmware, has not been created by Nokia).
And the only proper way of getting whatever languages are available, is to buy a device intended for the region/country where those languages are available.

Is it possible to add new language in General Setting?

Hi all,
I would like to add new language ("Cambodia[Khmer]") in General Setting in SAP and when i select that language, the system auto translate to khmer.
Is it possible to do that? if yes, can u tell me how to do?

Symptom
SAP Business One is currently available in 27 languages. While SAP may continue to increase the number of supported languages over time, it is not feasible to satisfy all possible demands.
Solution
The SAP Business One strategy is to empower its partners to take responsibility for the translation of the user interface (UI) into other languages, as needed.
To support this process we have added a new tool to the Installation and Upgrade package.
The Custom Language Tool (CLT) file 'CLT.zip' is located in the folder 'Packages' in the Installation or Upgrade packages.
It enables partners to:
Define an additional UI language
Generate a UI string source file to be translated into the new target language
Upload the UI string target file in the new language to SAP Business One
Make the new language available to SAP Business One users
For more information, see the 'User Guide - Custom Language Tool.pdf' contained in the package.

Can i add new language into my L1520?

Question is simple, can i add a new language into my L1520 ? I bought it in Russia, and in options menu i just found several languages like spanish,english,french,Azerbaizhanish,even if chanise. But i need Turkish language. Can i download it somehow?

If it's not listed in language+region settings, then you cannot download it, maybe that's why Nokia did not release it in Turkey yet

Help! how do I add new languages

Hi...Does anyone know how to add a new language in OS that I didn't install when i installed my OS X? and when I change my language into Japanese, it shows the language on the bar at the top but not in finder...does that mean that i didn't install the language properly? how do i fix it? my gf is learning japanese now, so i would like to create a account for her in my computer under japanese... this bothers me a lot...

Did you follow the normal language changing procedure of moving Japanese to the top of the list in system prefs/international/languages and then logging out and logging in again?
To reinstall Japanese, try running the Language Translations installer found in the OptionalInstalls.mpkg of the Tiger DVD.

Add new language... pb with PortalConfigAssistant

I'd like to add a new language in portal R2. (french language)
to do that, i've execute the line below :
ptlasst.csh -mode LANGUAGE -i typical -lang f -m portal -available -silent -verbose
but it doesn't work and in the log file, there an error message (just one line) :
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/webdb/config/PortalConfigAssistant
whereas in the ptlasst.csh, the classpath include the file "opca.jar" which contains the PortalConfigAssistant.class...
can anyone help me ?

This is strange. Are you running the ptlasst.csh from the $Oracle_Home/assistants/opca dir ? If yes, try setting the classpath with the absolute paths in the ptlasst.csh. And are you running this in csh or tcsh environment as recommended.

6650 fold: how to add new languages

Hello,
I have moved from a Nokia 3110 Classic to a 6650 fold which should be an upgrade and include all functions of the smaller model. With the 3110 Classic I could select Spanish as input language which helps quite a bit in writing messages (T9 adds accents, etc.). But the 6650 fold does not offer Spanish. I live in Germany and thus have the T-Mobile branding. How can I add more languages to the phone? I have plenty of space on my MicroSDHC card.

Thanks for the tip. I bought a higher end mobile with a Symbian 60 operating system to be ready for business and world wide use. Unfortunately, the 6650 fold is not suitable for this task. I expected that even more languages than on the 3110 classic are preinstalled on the 6650 fold, but this is not so. I believed that an advantage of Symbian 60 is to be able to install packages on the mobile like it is possible on the PC by downloading it onto the mobile. I do not bring my PC to my dealer just to change the language of the user interface or the input language. The mobile has a firmware and much space for storage of languages. I added an 8 GB microSDHC card. I am not pleased by this deliberate policy and will change to another more free operating system as soon as possible. Maybe I can even install another operating system onto the 6650, I do not know. Way to go for Nokia to provide a useful gadget for the travelling business user!

You can't do it yourself, you have to take the phone to a Nokia Care Point.
Note that the absence of a language in the phone is not a fault in the phone if it was originally intended to be sold in an area where French is not spoken, so there may be a charge for installing this language pack.
Also note that language packs installed independently of the firmware do not survive a reset or a firmware update. Therefore, if you do reset your phone or update its firmware, you will loose the language pack and have to have it reinstalled.

I must install 4 new languages in 11.5.9 eBS .
I follow the NLS Release Notes ( Part NÂ° B10846-01; Metalink Doc ID 232831.1 ) ,
but I have "only" one doubt .... !
I must choose "Maintain Applications Database Objects" and select the "Maintain the multi-lingual tsbles" task from ADAdmin ... . What do it do ?
It alter tables ....
It insert 1 million of records in a single small table ...
or what ?
Do I must perform some activities in DB for this task ?

I'd installed two new languages and followed every steps from metalink, patched whatever as needed. It just took time to finish the adpatch (I usually run it overnight) and I don't have much problem with it.
I'm not sure what exactly the AdAdmin doing but just follow what the document said won't hurt :>

hello / salut !
easiest way for you is to install a "device OS" that contains the french language pack. It is the case for all OS from a american/canadian/french carrier.
Meaning you can use an OS that has been published by Bell (Canada) or SFR (France).
Doing that is called "install an OS from another carrier". It is not hard, you just have at some point to delete a file named vendor.xml on your computer. Check the forum, there are discussions about that specific point.

6131 Add New language Not Listed After SW upgrade ...

Hello Every body,
I flashed my 6131 from Version V3.70 to V5.50. Everything Seems to be fine but Greek Language is not listed.
Greek Language was supported by previous firmware.
Any possible solutions ?

Hello Ivotsis,
everything depends on product code of your Nokia 6131. You find this code under the battery. For example my product code is 0532273.
Sometimes happens, that the phone you bought probably in Greece is originally designed for other country and your language pack was flashed into your phone later by the reseller.
In this situation, if you use Nokia Software Updater it downloads firmware with language pack according to your phone's product code, where greek language is missing.
In other forum here is possible to check the product code of your phone against the language you need (before flashing the firmware) to know, if your language after flashing will be available or not.
In your situation is necessary, I'm afraid, to visit Nokia service center with request to flash firmware again with correct (greek) language pack. It may cost some money.
