Add new toolbar firefox 29

i want to know where is "new toolbar" button?
i have a big picture background , so i want it be full size or large .. how can i do that?
in firefox 29.

Oh dear...
Dear Mozilla developers,
I've been a Firefox 'fan' for years, but this latest version 29 is losing me to Chrome I'm sorry to say...
Lost the facility to put the tabs where I (that would be me - not the developers) prefer them - immediately under the toolbar.
Foxclocks doesn't work because there is no ability to have the add-on toolbar on the bottom??

  • Add New Toolbar Button

    I've found the articles on how to edit an fla/swf file for
    color/size/action, but I don't see how to ADD a new button to the
    toolbar of a Flash Skin.
    I want to add a ZoomSearch button, so I:
    1 - copied the existing search.fla button in the template
    directory and renamed it zoomsearch.fla.
    2 - I open zoomsearch.fla in Adobe Flash and published the
    corresponding zoomsearch.swf file.
    3 - I opened the fhs file in Notepad and added the following
    section:
    <toolbaritem mode="BtnWithIcon Mode"
    type="built-in-zoomsearch" id="5">
    <name>ZoomSearch</name>
    <wf>
    <swf>skin_button_tb_zoomsearch.swf</swf>
    <navcomponent>ZoomSearch</navcomponent>
    </wf>
    <text>::??DefaultWebSkinText??::</text>
    </toolbaritem>
    I republish the project, but the skin doesan't show the new
    button. Can someone please give me a hint as to what I'm doing
    wrong?

    This probably wouldn't solve the problem, but before
    publishing the new Flash button movie, did you somehow change the
    action so that it's not hte same as the old search button?
    I'm not surprised that adding an entry doesn't automatically
    make a button appear. One time I was experimenting, and removing an
    entry (the "powered by" button) didn't make that button disappear.
    I do know that the toolbar frame is actually assembled using
    JavaScript. My guess is that you would have to tweak some of the
    supporting JavaScript files that are created when you generate a
    FlashHelp output. If you have a JavaScript expert on hand, he/she
    could probably track down where the button display is assembled and
    help you put together some code that would tell the toolbar frame
    to display another button (along with the changes you've already
    made to the .fhs file).

  • Why is that New Toolbar Created while costomizing crashes as soon as Firefox is closed?

    I am using Firefox for many years now and I simply love it.The fact
    that this is my first communication to you shows that I had absolutely no
    problems wit Firefox, until now that is!
    The problem is Add-on Buttons along with the Toolbar keep disappearing in
    Firefox18. I arrange all the Add-on Buttons on a Toolbar created for this specific purpose(Options - Toolbar - Layout - Add New Toolbar). The trouble started when I upgraded from Firefox 3.6 to Firefox 4 and then continuing even after 18th iteration of Firefox . All the Add-on Buttons along with the Toolbar started disappearing. I checked if any of the add-on is causing this problem but found nothing.But the Add-on Buttons work fine when arranged on the Status Bar (Now the so called Add-on Bar) which is very inconvenient and clumsy.
    Later I found out that this particular problem exists in all the Browsers
    based on Firefox\'s latest version(Pale Moon,Cometbird,Wyzo,Epic etc).
    That means something is causing this toolbar to disappear in the latest
    versions of Firefox(i.e.,Firefox 4,5... and now Firefox 18). So please help me to rectify this problem.I am impressed by the improvements made in the latest versions of Firefox and you will
    agree with me that the strength of Firefox is that it is highly customizable.But due to this problem Firefox has become useless for me. It is too much to that even after Firefox 18 the problem is still there
    I am fed up and curse why at Mozilla started this 'improvement drive. I loved Firefox 3 ! Firefox18 is useless for me.

    Your last post was [/questions/927399] and the advice is much the same as then. Start a new profile and add the add-ons slowly maybe one at a time.
    The status bar was phased out a long while ago

  • How do I add a new toolbar? Clicking new toolbar in customize simply brings up the boookmarks toolbar, which I don't want.

    In View/Toolbars/Customize, when I click on "Add New Toolbar", all it does is turn on the "Bookmarks Toolbar". How can I add a toolbar without using the Bookmarks Toolbar, which I do not want? (I have Firefox 4.0.1 running in Windows XP. My email address is [email protected]) Thank you.

    Thank you so much. You are a champion. I had tried dragging it directly to the book and when that didn't work I dragged it to the project icon and hey presto - I am so Happy!!!!!

  • When I open a "New Window" or a "link" does so, my customized "add(ed) new toolbar" disappears. FF version up to date.

    I have used the reset preferences option. I had to recreate all items I previously had in the toolbars. And had to "Add a New toolbar" and add the items i had in that, also.
    I also used the fix for a corrupt local.rdf file. No joy. At first I did not know why I was losing my custom toolbar. But I started paying extra attention and found out how to recreate the problem. I f a link opened a new window it opened without the custom toolbar. If I closed that window before closing the original window the custom settings where maintained.
    If I opened a new window or selected a opened tab to open or duplicate in a new window the custom toolbar was gone. Again, if I closed the "new" window b4 I closed the original window all was good. But if I close the original window and the the new window the next time I open firefox the custom toolbar is gone. Righting clicking on a clear spot of a toolbar to open the "Customize Toolbar" dialog the name of my custom created toolbar is missing also.
    Firefox info from the "About" section says Firefox 18 Funnelcake Oct 2012 mozilla17-1.0
    I have never had this problem with FF before. I did not post asking for help until I could recreate the problem so that I could tell you when it happened.

    I did find the problem... It was the DivX Plugin for Firefox. I just found I wasn't using it. I went to Add/Remove Programs and uninstalled it. FYI I am running Windows 7.

  • In the navigation Toolbar following the yellow bookmark star you find a small blue triangle. When you click it a number of bookmarks show up. How can I add new booksmark to be displayed out of my unsorted bookmarks? Thanks.

    Dear Sir, Mam,
    In the navigation toolbar on the right side of the bookmark yellow star you find a small blue triangle. When you click it, some of the selected bookmarks show up and can be called up immediately.
    I have deleted some without problem, but I could not add new ones. I would like to have there at least 10 items.
    Please explain how to add new bookmarked items to this shortcut list. Thank you, sincerely Th. Brandt. [email protected]

  • How to add URLs and/or bookmarks to a new toolbar

    I can create a new toolbar and drag buttons from/to the 'Customize Toolbar' dialog, and that new toolbar will be visible.
    But I want to use that new toolbar for extra favorite URLs and/or bookmarks. That does not seem to be allowed.
    I _can_ drag the 'Bookmark toolbar items' icon from the Bookmarks toolbar, but that does not solve my problem, now does it?

    There is one "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" container available for storing bookmarks, and that is where bookmarks are placed if you want them on a Toolbar. I have never seen an add-on that changes that by adding a 2nd "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" container.
    I understand that you want to reduce the toolbar area at the top of the browser window, because I have been doing that for almost as long as I have been using Firefox ''(since 2002 when it was called Phoenix)''. The first thing I do is to get rid of or '''reduce the Menu Bar down to one button''' using one of the various Compact Menu extensions that have been available over the years. This is the one I currently use.<br />
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/compact-menu-2/ <br />
    This extension hides the Menu Bar and places a button on the left side of the Navigation Bar upon installation. Click that blue globe button or hit the '''''Alt''''' key and the the Menubar Items appear in a drop-down menu. You can even drag that small button into the [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+customize+the+toolbar Customize Palette] and use the '''''Alt''''' key to open the Menubar Items drop-down. <br />Hidden from view, but easily accessible when you need to use a Menubar Item.

    NO CHANGES HERE IN ANYTHING ELSE.

    Click the Firefox button, go to Add-ons, then Plugins and disable the following:<br><br>

    * My Web Search<br><br>
    Both of these are adware/spyware and cause performance issues in Firefox.
    Next, click the Extensions menu link (above Plugins where you are) and remove the "Ask Toolbar".
    If the problem persists, please do the following:<br><br>
    #Click '''Help '''| '''Restart with Add-ons disabled'''.<br><br>
    #In the next menu which appears, checkmark: "'''Reset toolbars and Controls'''".<br><br>
    #Finally, click the button called "'''Make changes and restart'''".
    Just in case you weren't aware of it, you can right click the Back or Forward buttons to get a list of sites visited. If you'd like to see the return of the arrow on the Back button, install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker/

  • Add on toolbar appears but add ons don't, and new customized toolbar appears only when customize window open - toolbar not named in toolbar list?

    I have used View=> Toolbars => and ticked off all the toolbars that I want to appear. BUT the add on toolbar shows up blank (i.e. toolbar but no add ons). AND the new customized toolbar I created is not even listed in the available toolbars to tick off or not. The only way I can get it to show up (but not to function) is by clicking the customize button. The toolbar remains open only so long as the customize window does, and I can add/remove/rearrange icons, but not use any of their functions (eg. I added a new window button to the custom toolbar but when I click it of course nothing happens, because another window -- the customize window -- is still open). I need some way of locking this toolbar so I can access the buttons to use them please!!!
    Btw am using Windows 8 and just switched from IE (and fearing I'll have to switch back again...)
    Tnx so much.

    Only certain add-ons actually make use of the add-on bar. Quite possibly none of yours use the add-on bar.
    As a test Install something that is known to use the add-on bar you can always uninstall it or disable it afterwards.

    Removing the favicons, changing the titles to 1-4 characters without spaces, and putting some or most into folders still readily accessible from the bookmarks toolbar
    would help a lot. Also changing the size of the bookmarks toolbar text and color with a Style to differentiate between folders and bookmark/bookmarklets would help, see

  • New toolbar always disappears upon restart of Firefox

    I add a new toolbar (right click on toolbars, then "customize"), give it a name, and put a few buttons on it.
    The new toolbar is visible and working, and can be seen for instance in the View/Toolbars pop-up menu.
    However when I exit firefox and start it again - after this, the new toolbar is gone. Even in View/Toolbars it is not listed anymore, i.e. it is not a problem of being unselected, but it is completely gone.

  • Is there a way to stop Firefox from suggesting to add new search engines to my search bar?

    Is there a way to stop Firefox from suggesting to add new search engines to my search bar whenever I visit websites that suggest to us to add their search engines?
    I searched a lot and couldn't find any help. How to stop websites from suggesting to my Firefox search bar to add their search engines? I don't want to add other search engines other than the ones I organized. I don't want my list to look more distracting and longer.

    Firefox doesn't do that. That's either a feature of the website you are visiting or possible Malware on that PC.
    A screenshot of that might be helpful. <br />

  • Re: "How do I add a device to Firefox Sync?" There is no link for add new device.

    The code for the new device is some 21 alpha numeric characters long. Only a few of the characters fit in the three boxes -- they do not all fit.

    The sync key is 26 characters and needs to be entered on the account page (I don't have the device), but if you have the code supplied by another device then you only have a code of 12 characters.

    I see "Add New Window" but..."Add New Tab" button does not exist in the Window -Customize Toolbar any longer, and not on my Navigator toolbar. Where can I find one to put on my Navigator toolbar, please?
    Thanks

    It's the "+" on the Tab bar. You can move it to the Navigation Toolbar if you prefer. When you start Customize, the + moves to the far right end of the Tab bar. You can drag it where you want (see attached image).
    Any luck?
