Add numbered graphics/icons to a pdf floor plan document

I have a floor plan of my company's 5th floor (in pdf format) and as their sysadmin I need to add small little graphics representing numbers in little circles or triangle(those little circles or triangle, I can pick them either from another powerpoint or pdf document that has them already / or from those numbering icons you see in gif or jpeg format around the web/ they are basicly meant to describe printer 1, printer 2, fax 1, fax2, ..etc) throughout the pdf plan. I opened my pdf floor plan using Acrobat Writer 7, and the closer I get is to add notes (via the "Add Note" function) which actually get me the little triangle or circle I need but...I can't put numbers in them...(I know I can edit the note and add ..let's say 1,2 or 3 in it's editing text....but those numbers are never displayed in the triangle /circle....you see them only if you move the cursor over the triangle/circle note). I also have the menu TOOLS > Drawing Markups but the problem is the same here: I can add the drawing markups (oval, circle..etc) but cannot get the numbers displayed inside of them. The other closet way is Via the menu TOOLS>DRAWING MARKUPS, TEXT BOX TOOLS: The problem here is that I get my number but in a square box. I would want that number to be in a circle and a triangle instead. PS: I could leave without the copy and paste of the numbering circles or triangle from MS powerpoint/other pdf document if I could just get those numbers in small circles or triangles within the pdf document.

You can make custom stamps for each of the things you want and then apply them to the document. That will definitely give you the control you want of how it looks, though may be a bit tedious to setup.

  • Novice: Can I add vector graphics to a pdf?

    Have Acrobat Pro 7 but have been using it only for creating simple pdfs from Office documents.
    I'm starting my education on other capabilities.
    Can I add vector graphics (shapes, text) to a pdf or do I need to get the pdf into a tool like AI first?
    We're going to be working with maps (GIS output) and, to start, I'm assuming we'll want the maps as pdfs.  In some cases we'll want to add some markup.
    Thanks
    Tom

    As PDF is, essentially, a "non-editable" format (aside from minor touchups) you'll want to work content in an authoring application.
    Output a PDF, containing the vector graphics, from an authoring application.
    Provide the desired PDF page content in an authoring application as well.
    Be well...

  • Is it possible to upgrade/add a graphics card to a Pavilion dv7-7000 laptop?

    I've been doing a lot of research lately, to mostly no avail, about whether or not my HP Pavilion dv7-7025dx laptop can have a dedicated GPU added to it, as currently it only has the integrated Intel HD 4000 Mobile graphics card.
    Mostly I've come across the unfortunate agreement that most laptops cannot have their graphics cards upgraded/swapped out, since the graphics card is soldered on to the motherboard. However, after talking to an HP "support representative", they said they believed it was possible to add a graphics card, as long as it is compatible with the HM77 45W UMA Motherboard my computer has.
    Furthermore, after finding the maitenence and service manual online for my computer ( http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03221579.pdf ) it says that it could have come with switchable graphics, specifically the Nvidia Geforce 630M or 650M.
    So I am wondering, is it really at all possible to add a dedicated graphics card, either by having switchable graphics or something else? Or am I stuck with the integrated Intel HD graphics?
    If I can upgrade/add a new card, where would I be able to find/buy a compatible one, and would I be able to install it myself or would I need to go to a local computer repair?
    My laptop is the HP Pavilion dv7-7025dx Entertainment Notebook.

    Hi,
    You can't add a dedicated graphics card to the system like this. The vga is soldered to the board so no way you can just plug it in like on a desktop. However, you can buy a new motherboard with the dedicated graphics card on it. It also requires a new heat sink.
    Manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03221579.pdf
    You need a 682040-001 board plus 682061-001 heat sink to have a dedicated graphics card on your laptop. Have a look on ebay for the part numbers.

    You're very welcome.
    I am not a PC repair tech by trade or training.
    Other than the replacement motherboard, and fan and heatsink combination, I wouldn't know if any other parts are required.
    The parts you need are listed in chapter 3 of the service manual with the part numbers.
    I also don't know if the boards come with the windows 8 product key included in the BIOS.
    There may be multiple motherboards listed, so make sure you get the right one.
    Same for the fan and heatsink.

  • How can I add social media icons to my email signature in thunderbird?

    Hi there,
    I have already a signature with my logo but I would also like to add some social media icons.
    Do you know how can I do that?
    Thanks
    K.

    "a signature with my logo" - please explain.
    If I wanted a signature with a logo, I'd create an HTML document containing text and an embedded image. Adding, for example, facebook and twitter icons would be done in just the same way, by embedding their icons into the same HTML signature document.
    What's stopping you just adding more graphics?

  • How to add a small icon that shows up in navigation toolbars of browser window?

    Silly little question and I'm not even sure what it's called, but I'm trying to (create and) add a tiny graphic icon that shows up in browser windows toolbars like this:

    Thanks. I knew that.
    Found a good tutorial here: http://www.geckodesigns.com/tutorial-dreamweaver-favicon.php

  • How do I automatically add a background/watermark to a PDF?

    Hi!
    My name is mike and I am working on an invoice draft. The invoice is created within Microsoft Access and will be printed out on the Adobe PDF printer.
    I'd like to automatically add a background with some graphical details (which is not possible with Access in my case) to the PDF when printed out to the specific PDF printer.
    Now I have a background preset and I do have to select it every time and save the changes, which is quite time consuming when there are many invoices.
    I appreciate your help and thank you in advance!
    mike

    Hi Srv-02,
    You can create a custom action to add Watermark for all the generated pdfs.
    You can also accomplish this via Javascript: https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/watermarking-a-pdf-with-javascript

  • How to add custom file icons on SharePoint 2010 document library?

    Hi there,
    In a document library SharePoint shows the PDF and Word etc icons all fine - however we have a custom file format with a custom icon. Is this possible to add this custom icon for our custom extension? How?
    Thank you so much.

    Hi,
    You could accomplish your requirement by using jQuery with these steps, and this code is using jQuery to modify it on the current page, if you would like to make it work on all library, you need to choose the former method or add this JQuery script on all
    library pages manually:
    Upload a custom icon to file “14\ Template\Images” or your SharePoint document library.
    Add this code below in the document library that you want to extend your custom icon, you could add code by following these: Click edit page in the document library -> add a web part -> choose Content Editor -> click edit source in the Ribbon ->
    add the source below -> click OK.
    <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.1.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script><script type="text/javascript">
    $(document).ready(function(){
    var fileObject = $("[title$='docx']");
    for(var i=0; i < fileObject.length; i++){
    //fileObject[i].outerHTML="<img width=\"16\" height=\"16\" title=\"test.docx\" alt=\"test.docx\" src=\"/_layouts/15/images/custom.png\" border=\"0\">"; // upload your custom icon to file ” 14\ Template\Images”, replace your src URL
    fileObject[i].outerHTML="<img width=\"16\" height=\"16\" title=\"test.docx\" alt=\"test.docx\" src=\"/sites/sharepoint2013/Shared%20Documents/custom.png\" border=\"0\">"; // upload your custom icon to SharePoint document library, replace your src URL
    </script>
    The screenshot below is my result:

  • How to add a graphic watermark that is bigger than the photo?

    How to add a graphic watermark that is bigger than the photo?
         Basically I want to add a watermark that is a border, like "outside stroke" so that it doesn't clip the photo.
         Upper, left and right side are 10px and on the bottom is my signature that is 40px high. I know how to do this in Photoshop, but can't figgure it out in Lightroom.
         The inset function with negative numbers doesn't work, because it only export to the size of the exported image, instead it should resize the image with those 10px up, left and right and 40px on      the bottom.
    My bordes look like this either one of the two can be used, and if you scroll down you will se how the end result should look like.
    And below is what it should look like, so that Lightroom doesn't clip the photo.

    Are you sure the focus of your piano roll is on the right track? Are you zoomed in/out enough?

  • Placing a vector graphic in an existing PDF

    I am using Acrobat 9 Pro Extended. I have created PDFs from the music notation software called Sibelius (by "printing" to PDF).
    I now want to add a graphic (a logo created in Illustrator). In the Acrobat Help, it says to use the TouchUp Object Tool and right click. The dialog that appears only lists raster formats (JPG, GIF, TIFF, etc). The Help System says I should also be able to place an EPS file, but that format is not in the dropdown list of file types.
    Sure, I can use one of the raster image formats, but I'd prefer to use a vector format so that it looks good at any zoom level.
    Bottom line: Is there any way for me to add a small vector image at a specific position in an existing PDF?
    Thanks,
    John

    If you do not mind dipping into java, you could use iText. It
    is built into MX7.
    The tutorials should get you started. Though they are now a
    tad dated.

  • Insert a graphic into a fillable pdf

    I used WordPerfect X7 to create a fillable PDF timesheet for my son to email to his employer. The sheet requires a signature on each line and the number of days he works each week is flexible. I have created  a jpg file containing his signature. Is there a way to set up the fillable PDF to add the graphic to each line as it is needed?

    What application are they using to fill in the form? If Reader then they can use the Place Signature tool.

  • How do I add the Displays icon to the Menu Bar?

    In prior OS on my iMac, I was able to add the Display icon to the Menu Bar, making it a quick fix to adjust the resolution.  That option no longer appears in the Display section of System Preferences.  I am using multiple displays.  Could that make any difference?  Any suggestions?

  • How to create ICon/Cursor from pdf files

         I was able to create ICon from jpg file without problem but I couldn't create ICon from pdf files.
    Here my code:
    var myDoc = app.newDoc();
    myDoc.importIcon("myIcon"); // it worked when I chose a jpeg image, but it didn't
    //when chose a pdf file.
    icon = myDoc.getIcon("myIcon");
    oIcon = util.iconStreamFromIcon(icon);
    myDoc.closeDoc(true);
    app.addToolButton({
                   cName: "myButtoon",
                   oIcon: oIcon,
                   cExec: "app.alert('Someone pressed me!')",
                   cTooltext: "Push Me!",
                   cEnable: true,
                   nPos: 4
       //app.removeToolButton("myButtoon");
    My goal is to create buttons which have icons from a pdf file (stamp) and when user click on these buttons, the cursors become the icon . And then, when user click on the document, the iCon will be showed in the document. The point is: is there anyway to create icons/cursors/stamps from one pdf file. Because the stamp is changeable, when user changes the color/shape of the pdf file, the icons/cursors/stamps will automatically change
    What kind of pdf format do I have to use?
    I used the sample "SignHere.pdf" in stamps folder of Acrobat but it didn't work.
    Thanks.

    The SDK has all the information - but certainly there are only samples for those common actions that users have been doing for years.  Most developers don't recreate stuff already present in the application - such as the Stamp plugin - so we don't have samples of such things.
    But all the pieces you need are present in the SDK - it's just necessary obvious.  You will need to learn about the details of how the plugin APIs work to create the toolbars and toolbuttons, and then how to handle cursors.  You will then need to learn about PDF details in order to be able to take an existing PDF, potentially modify it (eg. Change the color(s)) and then place it onto another PDF.
    The methods you listed are from JavaScript - there are alternative methods for plugins, such as the AVConversion APIs.
