Add on manager is grayed out

I have installed Win7 on my laptop and my FILE/ Manage Add on is gray?? Can somebody help me on that

OK, I found the solution myself. In Win 7 you have to set the UAC notify slider to the lowest level 9=(never notifY) just for the add on process.

The add image button is grayed out. I am using Story Free but have a Cloud license. None of the upgrade buttons work.

Thanks! I found the answer on that website. Here it is:
You'll need to set up a custom dictionary first. On the word you'd like to add to your custom dictionary, do a right-click or Control+click, select Spelling, and in the Spelling and Grammar dialog click Options. The Spelling and Grammar preferences pane should be displayed. For Custom Dictionaries, click on the Dictionaries button, put a check mark in the Custom Dictionary item box, and OK your way out of there.
Now you should be able to add any "misspelled" words to your custom dictionary.

Cannot add new printer, selection grayed out

I have been using a brother MFC-9420CN. I have been sharing this printer with a windows computer over a wireless network. It has worked flawlessly since I hooked it up. After the last 10.4.6 update for the OS the printer no longer works. I first noticed it when I selected print from a menu. The top selection said the printer name but there was a grayed question mark next to it. I opened the printer utility. The printer was there but would not work. So I removed it from the list and went to add it once again. When I clicked on add a new menu popped up. The menu searched for new drivers and then stopped. On the bottom of the menu is three selections. One for name, one for location and one for print using. They are all grayed out. Because there is no selection in the above menu for me to choose. I tried deleting all the brother print drivers in /library/printer/brother folder. Then I reinstalled. Same problem. I cannot selet a printer now. I also tried hooking it up diretly and nothing happened. I then tried the IP printer selection. At the bottom there is a print using selection. It shows the brother cups driver but when selected and then I choose to add it a message comes up that says "An error occured while trying to add the selected printer error code 50" The printer still works over the wirless connection on the windows computer. I found a work around for this matter. Most of the time, I use spotlight to remove anything on the hard drive that has anything to do with "Brother Printers" Then I reload the CD that came with the printer and it works ok. Every now and again if I cancel the print job on the printer the computer will do this hiccup and say there is no printer. This is my work around.

I am running IIS on a remote machine on the network. My site, files, and db file is also located on this remote machine. DW CS4 is running locally.
I setup the SystemDNS for the access db file. However, I am not able to create a connection to any database because the little '+' sign on the Databases palette is grayed out. Any idea why?

Adobe discontinued support for ASP.NET in DW CS4. Maybe that is the reason. Bummer! Thank you Adobe.
It's not much consolation to you now, but Adobe announced it was going to drop support for ASP.NET way back in August 2007, more than a year before the release of Dreamweaver CS4. The issue was also discussed many times in this forum.

Add WPS Printer ALWAYs grayed out

This is driving me nuts. I've searched high and low and can't figure out how to get this "Add WPS Printer..." menu item to light up. I'm following the (very poorly documented) proceedure provided by Canon for my Pixma Pro-100. What am I missing?

I was able to get it to ungray out by clicking on the AirPort Extreme and authenticating. Then it appeared.
I had to do it a few times, and the sequence that seemed to work was starting WPS on the router first, then starting the search on the printer.

Extension manager gray out in Photoshop CC 2014

After installing and then uninstall and reinstalling Photoshop CC 2014, the Extension Manager remains grayed-out. I've also Uninstall and Reinstall the Extension Manager--all to no avail. I'm running OS X 10.9.3

Why does the Add-ons manager take an excessive time to load and can I view my add-ons without going to the add-ons manager?

When I start my browser up my everything that I have been working on comes up without any problem and I can open a new tab to go to another site without a problem, but when I go to the Add-ons Manager it can take over 3 minutes to load and that's if I don't stop it. My other question is can I view my add-ons, plugins, etc without having to open the Add-ons Manager?

Facebook album grayed out

Hi - bit of an odd one. I love the facebook integration in iphoto11 but at the moment i have an issue.
I want to add a few more photos from a recent holiday to an album on facebook - the album was created in iPhoto and contains 224 pictures - i want to add a few more, but if i select some (could be 1, could be 4 or more - ive tried a few combinations) the particular album i want to add them to is grayed out (greyed out for us brits) - any ideas why?
the other albums are 'available' or i could create a new album - but not add to the one i want to !
can anyone thinl why?

Get album artwork grayed out How can I cut and paste in iTunes?

I've got many cd's that I've ripped to Itunes. When I try to click "add album artwork" I get an error message (609) from itunes that it can't be found. So when I try to manually add it it is grayed out.
I've gotten this far:

get info

The option to browse from ny own source (like pasting from iphoto) is grayed out. I've tried to go in under the file name in "music" but I don't see any option for changing anything.

Grayed out songs on iTunes despite "Manage music and videos manually" being checked.

I had to restore my iPod, and when I synced it after the restore, the songs were gone on my iPod like it is supposed to be, but on iTunes they are still there but grayed out. I have already done the "manage music and videos manually" thing, I delete all of the grayed out songs and try to add the songs from my library back to my iPod, but they are still grayed out. Please help if you can, I would greatly appreciate it.

I don't use manually manage so I'm at a loss as to why anyone would.
However, if I was Syncing my iPod to iTunes, then the picture you have posted would be just like that while iTunes was busy putting my music back onto my iPod. That's what the little double-arrow icon means; it's a list of files that you have asked to be put on the iPod (in my case, by Syncing the ticked items in my Library and in yours - apparently, by manually dragging them from the library to the iPod).
As each file is successfully added to the iPod, the progress arrows icon disappears and the song (file) name is no longer greyed out.

I use Firefox 6.0.1 on Windows 7.
I installed '''Free Desktop Clock 2.37''' from Drive Software, and then Firefox was hi-jacked, though I carefully chose the custom installaion.
Edit: Free Desktop Clock itself does not hi-jack Firefox. It's another program (name forgotten) bundled with Free Desktop Clock that did it, adding a toolbar, changing the homepage, changing the default search engine, etc. Actually, those forced alterations can be changed back easily, such as a resetting of the "keyword.url" pref. So, "hi-jack" may be a description that's too strong.
Anyway, I have managed to clean it up -- unsolicited toolbar, forced homepage, forced default search engine, etc.
But there is still one problem.
In the dialogue window of '''Manage Search Engine List''', which appears when you click the drop arrow on the left of the Search Bar and then click Manage Search Engines, the '''Restore Defaults''' button is disabled (grayed out).
How can that button be re-enabled?

Is Free Desktop Clock still listed? If not this may be because the listed search engines are the defaults, so there may be nothing to restore. If you manually added other search engines, you may have to reinstall those separately. Manage Cache option grayed out in online RPD

Ran into a problem today, trying to perform manual caching but cache option is grayed out when ascessing manage cache option, this is happening even though i have enabled the cache option in the NQSConfig file as follows
ENABLE=YES
YET IT IS GRAYED OUT WHEN I DO FILE -OPEN-MANAGE-CACHE, HAVE ALSO TRIED BOUNCING THE BI SERVER BUT NO LUCK.
ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED.

What version of OBIEE are you using? Assuming you are using 11g, providing a solution to enable cache in RPD.
1) Go to enterprise Manager.
2) Navigate to Business Intelligence > Core Application
3) Click on capacity Management tab > Performance
4) Lock and edit > Make sure cache enabled option is checked. ( This will add an entry to your NQSConfig file.

2008R2 to 2012R2 = Failover Cluster Manager not found ..gray out feature.

Hello everyone,
I just upgraded from our Hyper-V host running Windows Server 2008R2 to 2012R2,
I didn't get any errors during the upgrade and everything looked fine except that the failover cluster manager is no longer exist ..I went to add it from the server manager and found that the feature already exist but it is grayed out, I can not remove it and
add it again!
how to get the failover manager cluster working again ?

ok, the fix seems simple,
I needed to go from server manager and select remove role/features and then re-add it.
going to add roles/feature will not allow me to remove any feature ..it is just for adding features.
