Add ons donot work with firefox 23.0.1

I recently updated to firefox 23.0.1 and noticed that none of the addons work...
Like add block plus, is installed, but wont run on startup..
everytime i have to disable it and eneble it to make it run.. others dont evn work this way...

I feel for u mate...
It was driving me nuts that the add ons do not work...
I have atleast 5-6 add ons without which i cant really surf the net as i wish i can..
Hope ur problem gets solved soon....

I didnt want to do this so cant say for sure if this will work, but try uninstalling and then reinstalling firefox to see if the problem is solved...

Is there a [plan to fix 4.0 so that all the previously useful add-ons and plugins will function? Delicious toolbar is disabled; Norton toolbar is disabled; several other add-ons that worked perfectly well in 3.6 do not now

the upgrade caused several tools that I use every session to be disabled as they were incompatible with 4.0
this was not an enhancement to me; rather it has caused me more aggravation than anything the old version did.

Norton says they will have an updated version of their Firefox extensions available in May.

PDF Add-on does not work with Firefox 14.0.1

I have not found a PDF add-on that works with 14.0.1. I'm forced to go to IE or Chrome when there is a PDF to be opened.

Firefox 19 add ons stopped working

I installed Firefox 19. Immediately most of my add ons stopped working, and in some cases work but not correctly.
Here are some examples:
Noia4 - works, but each time I restart Firefox Noia4 reset to default settings.
Reminder Fox - Does not work
Status4Evar - Does not work - These may be related.
Google translator for Firefox, does not work.
AnonymoX does not work.
I have not had time to try ALL my add ons, so until I can be sure these work correctly I have returned to v18.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

I believe there is one extensions in the add-ons gallery that lets you see whether your add-ons are compatible with newer versions of Firefox. But you'll have to search for them, since I don't know how it's called.
I will remind you that if you want an add-on to be compatible with a newer version of Firefox, you need to contact its author.
Also, the version of Firefox you are using at the moment has been discontinued and is no longer supported. Furthermore, it has known bugs and security problems. Tabs in Yahoo premium mail no longer work with Firefox 37.

In Yahoo mail premium-add free I can no longer access or close tabs. Messages open in tabs, tabs persist but I need to exit mail to close them. I can get back to In box and other categories but not the tabs. I figured it was Yahoo until I noticed the functions work with Chrome. You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

I was using Internet Explorer but now have disabled it in preference to Firefox. But my Press Reader program by Newspaper Direct will not access the internet and display the paper. Their web site says it works with Firefox

Under connection options in Press Reader I have three options. Use IE proxy settings; don't use proxy; Use custom proxy settings. I have tried all three and still cannot get a direct internet connection with Press Reader. The Press Reader site says it works with Firefox 2 and above. I am using Firefox 5.0. I can still go to my newspaper site and read the paper but I just can do it via Press Reader and therefore I can not download it for later reading.

Your add-ons list shows AVG, ZoneAlarm, and McAfee products. Could one of them be blocking this site? See whether you can add exceptions or just disable them temporarily and test whether that helps.

I have yahoo music player on home page worked with firefox 3, chrome, ix, doesn't with firefox 4 why not

yahoo is home page. yahoo music worked with firefox till I upgraded to firefox 4. Works with ie and just tried chrome. Screen comes up, video doesn't play, just grey in video screen. Try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.

Add-ons not working properly

Recently (last 4-5 days my add-ons stopped working properly. Example: Tab Mix Plus shows as installed, but when any options I select do not affect tab behavior; Lastpass icon not showing up in the Add-on bar as it did previously; Newsfox icon doesn't appear in Toolbar as it did. Using Firefox 26.0 on Windows 8 on Dell Laptop.

I've been having problems with my add-ons. Ad Block Plus will often hang Firefox and drive the CPU to 100%. I've reset Firefox and installed ABP, but still have the problem. My other extension have also stopped working. Any new extensions will appear to added on to Firefox, but they also don't work. I've followed all on-line trouble shooting options.

Flash not working with Firefox

I have a site built using Dreamweaver and FD24 extensions for the Flash elements.

Flash ver 10.0.45.2 installed
However my client cannot see any of the flash images in the header and on the leisure page gallery (just a white box). The front side panel works ok on the home page
He is using Firefox. again ok yesterday. He has tried to reinstall the latest version of flash and received installation successful message.
Using the same PC's he can see if switches to IE
Would appreciate any help in getting this sorted nad what advice I can give him. It is essential that the site works with Firefox so need to resolve.

Hi ken, If I understand your post, you are wanting help for the Firefox user. And he has installed Flash Player using the FF
browser.
The first thing would be to (using FF), go to plug-ins and find the SWF plug-in, made sure it is vs 10.0.45.2 and is enabled.
And be sure there is only one listing of the SWF. If there is another listing, it needs removed/deleted.
Also, he can go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash Find the Flash folder and post back all files listed there.
If he has installed Flash Player in IE, those files will be there also and the version numbers will be evident. However,
the files for FF will not be. The FF files are NPSWF32.dll and NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe. Right click on each and then click on
Properties to find the version numbers, which I need.
This is the best way to determine if the Flash Player files that are installed are correct and the FF plug-in is correct.
The IE equivalent to the FF plug-in is in the IE manage add ons and is listed as Shockwave Flash Object..ActiveX Control..
Flash10e.ocx and must be enabled also.
