Add-ons Not available for Firefox for android

I was installing add-ons for a new phone (4.4.4 KitKat) and noticed that almost all add-ons (including featured add-ons, such as Phony, QuitNow, Adblock Plus, etc.) are "Not Available for Firefox for Android", with the Add to Firefox button greyed out.
I don't remember I had such a problem installing add-ons on my old phone. Is it that I have to wait for the developers to update their add-ons or there is something wrong with my new phone?

I just read that we are experiencing an issue with the addons.mozilla.org site where Firefox for Android is blocked from installing extensions. I don't have a time frame for it to be resolved. Though I will try to update this thread when the problem is fixed.

I do some freelance web design. I just replaced my laptop with a tablet last year (Samsung Galaxy 10.5 S). I want to do web development on it - I work from a terminal doing Ruby on Rails and web development all the time. It would be awesome to have the F12 developer tools handy in Firefox for Android, but sadly I've waited for a while and there is no indication they will ever appear.
Do NOT suggest using a remote debugger - I'm not testing the layout of pages on my tablet, I want to be able to profile, view source (without an add-on) and such. I have seen this exact question marked closed by suggesting remote debugging, and I fail to see how telling me to use my tablet next to a laptop or desktop is a solution. Telling me to carry a second device means I don't need the tablet at all, when my intention is to ONLY use the tablet.
My tablet has a huge screen resolution and a powerful processor - more powerful than some laptops? Why is Firefox for Android neutered? I would understand disabling it by default to help those with less powerful devices, but why remove something that would add a competitive edge to your product, and is already integrated in desktop Firefox and has been for years? I prefer Firefox, but if Chrome adds web developer tools for Android first, I'll switch to Chrome.
There are people today using a tablet as their sole computing device. Please do not relegate us to a second-class Firefox experience!

After 3.6.10 all add-ons disappeared and a search for updates showed none needed. How do I get them back?

I am running on a Mac OSX 10.6.4. After updating Firefox to 3.6.10, a few add-on disappeared. Specifically, Delicious, 1Password, Stumble ON and Buckts. I looked for updates and none were available. I've run through the view menu and preferences but can't find an option to restore these functions. Do all these add-ons need to be updated to be compatible with 3.6.10 or is there something in the update that wiped out these views.

Add-ons that worked in 3.6.9 and earlier versions of 3.6 should also work in 3.6.10.
The first thing I would try is to delete the files that store details of installed add-ons. If one of those files is corrupt it can cause problems with add-ons not being listed. Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Another possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

I have pressed clear data for Firefox in Android Application manager. On SGS4 it is Settings->Options->Application manager->Fitefox->Clear data. Can I restore my bookmarks now?

Android's Clear Data button completely deletes your Firefox settings files. I am not aware of any way to undo that unless there is an "unerase" tool for Android files as there are on desktop operating systems.
Some ways you might have made a copy of those bookmarks:
* Did you ever set up Firefox Sync and sync the bookmarks to a Firefox Account?
* Did you ever use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/android/addon/copy-profile/ Copy Profile add-on] in Firefox for Android?

I can understand your frustration. The reason for compatibility checks and the resulting deactivation of your add-ons, however, is the concern for your own safety and robustness of your environment (... you may have had some bad experience in this regard yourself, for instance with Flash crashing now and then).
Go to the page '''Tools > Add-ons ''' and click "Extensions" to open the page with currently installed add-ons. There, you can reactivate disabled add-ons or - what's better in any case - look for updates and/or more recents replacements of your older add-ons.

You may want to consider using another browser if 2.0.0.20 does not work for your email. You could try using Safari for your email. I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

          Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)

The reason is that the DownLite developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.

What is the cost to use my phone in Malawi?What temporary add-ons are available?

I am travelling to Malawi this month for 1 month. I will need some form of communication out there. I expect I will probably buy a phone and international SIM whilst I'm there, but before I do so I wanted to explore what I can do with my current plan. I am on an EE Regular 2gb plan. Unlimited minutes and texts within the UK and 2gb data. I have no roaming minutes/texts as part of my plan. So my questions are: What add-ons are available so that I can use my phone in Malawi (Africa)? - I have had a brief look on the website, but these seem to only go up to 120 minutes, which is not a great deal and I would need more. Also I don't currently have my phone insured. If I was to get it insured through EE would it cover me against theft - whilst in Africa or anywhere else for that matter? I could buy an international SIM now, but assume my iPhone is locked to EE? Thanks for any help!

EPM Add-in not available in RRMX

Hello All,
EPM Add-in is installed and can be accessed through MS Excel.
In our scenario, BEx Analyzer is accessed through RRMX Txn however EPM add-in tab is not available in the Excel. Our customer needs both BEx Analyzer add-in and EPM add-in the same Excel which is opened through RRMX.
Why is EPM Add-in not available through RRMX ? How can I get both BEx and EPM add-ins in the same Excel thru RRMX?
