Add-ons window is blank and comes up on startup.

I have NoScript, AdBlock Plus, Sage, & IEview add-ons installed in FF 3.6.13. But the Add-ons window comes up blank after Menu-Add-ons and before FF opens on startup.

Lost use of all extensions with update to 3.6.11 ... Add ons window is locked

This morning, FF updated to 3.6.11. When I loaded FF no add ons were visible on the upper or lower tool bars. When I opened the Add Ons window, it locks up and will not allow me to access any options, disable, or uninstall. It also does not allow me to check for updates.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears. 
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions. 
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Is there any way to disable "Checking Your Add-ons" window that comes when user starts Firefox after update for the first time?

we have over 1500 firefox users and its very confusing to them if after update they start their Firefox and this "Checking Your Add-ons" window comes.
It would be much appreciated if it can somehow skipped this or do it silently.

We currently have 3.6.x versions of Firefox in most computers, and if i do a silent install via sccm to version 12, then if user starts the new firefox for the first time, it checks addons, like java quick starter and browsing protection (f-secure) etc. Second time when they start firefox, it starts normally.
My question is - is there some way to avoid this first run addon compability checking?
I've tried numerous preferences in mozilla.cfg, nothing helps so far.

No Close button on add-ons window

I am currently running Firefox 3.6.10 (latest version) and I've noticed that the "close" button is now missing from the lower right hand side of the add-ons window. There used to be 2 buttons; "Find Updates" and "Close". The "Close" button is missing.

FireFox 3.6.9 Add-ons window not working, add-ons not loading

After upgrade add-ons do not load.
In Add-ons window, no data; all add-ons disappeared;.
Also clicking < Browse all Add-ons > produces nothing, does not link to site.
Navigate toa site to download an add-on: Add-ons window appears but no data or appearance of files or anything. So< Install> button therefore does nothing.

Ran a previous version of FF, then closed and ran regular (5.0) version, but some add-ons, toolbars, and other stuff has disappeared. How can I get this stuff back?

I have been running 5.0 great for a while now, but today I tried downloading and running FF 3.6. As it was opening it stopped responding, but then I tried to force quit but then it worked and loaded up the pages I had open on 5.0 when I closed it.
I then closed the 3.6 version and ran the 5.0. I noticed a few things were gone or different...
~Several add-ons/extensions and toolbars were gone. Some of them were: Adblock Plus, Read it Later (and all its saved pages), Stumble Upon toolbar.... and more I am not sure of...
~Some of the saved sessions in my Session Manager add-on were gone.
~FF 5 seems to not be asking if I want to save my pages whenever I quit.
~The settings for how my tabs appeared has changed also... Like the color of text and where a new tab goes when I click on a link (to the right of the current tab or all the way to the right)... I am not sure if this is because of an associated add-on/extension being deleted.
UPDATE: I checked my profile folder and all of the extensions' data is all still there but FF5 is just not reading it correctly. (like adblock plus... I see the folder for it but FF5 doesn't have it on the add-on manager page when I run FF5) (The stumble upon toolbar folder is also in my profile folder but is not showing up in View->Toolbars when I actually run FF5)
Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Thanks but I don't think this will help. Like I said, all of my add-ons were working fine and compatible until after running a previous version of FF. I am sure they are still compatible, but they are not working at all.

When I open Add-ons, from the Tools menu, I get an unresponsive script error: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js:623.

This is to say the least about the unresponsive script errors at other times. However, at all times, it won't go away - even by clicking on the 'stop script' option; even with checking the 'don't ask again' option. This is typically caused by a problem with the Personas Plus 1.6 add-on and it conflicting with the Google toolbar.
Try disabling the Personas Plus add-on. To do this open the add-ons manager by selecting the Tools menu, then Add-ons. In the list of installed extensions click on Personas Plus, then click on either disable or uninstall.
If you can not access the add-ons manager, follow the instructions in the [[safe mode]] article to start Firefox in safe mode. You should then be able to disable or uninstall Personas Plus. You can find more information on this procedure in the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article.

Foxfire 6.0 add-ons manager not working, says "loading", get nothing, now what?

Just received an update and some add-ons were disabled. Clicked on "Tools", "add-ons". Tab opens and says "Loading" but nothing loads and I can't do anything with add-ons manager. Is there a fix?

Thanks for the suggestions. When you click on Tools and then Add-ons, theAdd-on Manager launches, and by default "Get Add Ons" is selected. Although I was not getting any response other than "Loading", if I then click on Extensions or Appearance or Plugins, I was getting a proper response from those three. After doing that and closing out Add-ons Manager and then relaunching it, my original problem disappeared. Now everything works fine. I tested it multiple times and is still OK. Can't explain it but OK for now. Maybe the Get Add-ons portion of the Web site was down at the times I was testing it? I'll keep a watch on it. Thanks for your speedy reply.

You shouldn't wait that long to ask advice. Firefox only keeps a (rotating) backup of bookmarks for the last 5 days that you started Firefox. So you may be out of luck.
You can check that you still use your old default profile that had your bookmarks.

Graphical errors. The Address dropdown box is blacked out, and goes normal when highlighted, tabs are blacked out, buttons are half missing etc etc. This ONLY happens in firefox, reinstalled and turn all add-ons off and it persists.

Have you tried Firefox Safe Mode to see if an Add-on is causing your problem?

Why do my appearance add-ons disappear and my custom home page revert to default whenever I close Firefox?

These items work fine and stay functional when I keep the browser open, but as soon as I close it, then open it later, the appearance add-ons disappear from my add-ons list and my home page reverts to the default.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

I just updated to Firefox 4.0 and how do I change the Add-ons window from opening in a tab (I prefer the old window style)?
