Add Org Id in PO Workflow Notification

Hi All,
Can any one help me in adding the Org Id in PO Workflow Notification as we are on 11.5.5 having Multiple Organizations.

Please provide more information on which notification (message). There is ORG_ID attribute, can not use this attribute.

How can I include a Credit Mgmt Case Folder URL in a workflow notification?

I have a requirement to add a URL to a workflow notification, which is easy enough. The issue I am having is that I am not able to create a URL that successfully opens the Credit Management Case Folder that is specified in the worflow notification.
I am only able to get the URL to launch the following successfully: http://<ce:0000>/OA_HTML/RF.jsp?function_id=16351&resp_id=23916&resp_appl_id=222&security_group_id=0&lang_code=US
Has anyone else solved this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

We are using eBusiness Suite 11.5.10.2, 10g database
I created a woflow attribute of type URL.
Name: Case Folder Link
Frame Target: New Window
Value: http://<instance>/OA_HTML/RF.jsp?function_id=16351&resp_id=23916&resp_appl_id=222&security_group_id=0&lang_code=US
I then added the following line to add the URL attribute to the HTML message body.
Case Folder Link : &CASE_FOLDER_LINK
When using the link above I don't get any error message. However when I try to change the URL to a specific case folder URL (Note this URL should change depending on the Case Folder # provided in the notification message.):

How do I add the customer's name to Workflow Notification email subject line?
I'm expecting that I need to add a tag, but I'm not sure what the correct tag would be, I have tried a few but it just writes the tag I inserted and not the customer's name.

This is something you can not add at the moment. You can change the layout a bit of workflow notifications from the system but you can not change the subjects at this time to render a system tag like that.

i undestand that we may need to add document attribute to PO approval but how can create this one.

Now i need to add the Requisition action history for PO notification.
Can you please advcie(steps if it is posible) to create a my own custom attribute document type to get the requistion action history based on the PO document id.
I was able to quey the Requistion information not getting somme difficulty to create a customer document typ attribute.

Error with hyperlink to open a form in Workflow Notification

I am trying to create a hyperlink to open a form in Workflow Notification. I want to open "Prepare Mass Additions" form from my workflow. I am in R12 (12.1.3) and there is no parameters defined for this function.
So i am trying the method given here:

Below is a summary of steps from this blog:
Register a new custom form function with a parameter CREATE_BATCH_ID. Function name is XXFAXMADDS. Its just the seeded FAXMADDS form function, just with the addition of parameter.
Create an attribute of type ‘Form’ which stores the name of the form function and the parameter with which we want to call it. The default value of the attribute is XXFAXMADDS:CREATE_BATCH_ID=&BATCH_ID
In a workflow process include a notification message.
Associate the attribute with the notification message
Personalize the new form function, to add actions to assign the value of parameter to the form field, then goto the Find Button, and click it.
    When i click on the link in notification, I am getting the below errors:
    FRM-47023: No Such parameter named G_QUERY_FIND exists inform FAXMADDS
    FRM-40105: Unable to resolve reference to item PARAMETER:G_QUERY_FIND
    FRM-47023: No such parameter named CREATE_BATCH_ID exists in form FAXMADDS.
    Why is this error? Why it is referring to G_QUERY_FIND which i have not at all used?

Hi Hussein,
Clearing cache or bouncing application did not help. And now i am noticing that the value of this attribute does not change according to the changes i make in workflow builder.
Also, i tried by updating the workflow attribute from Workflow Admin, retried the notification and tried the link again. No help.
I tried updating attribute to just the standard form function name, still same errors!

How to add custom buttons in a workflow email?

We want to add custom buttons in the workflow mail, and we have tried it successfully in workflow notification, but failed in mail,so is there anyone know how to add buttons in workflow mail if it is possible.

The buttons available are all of the different values on the Lookup Type you assign as the Result for the Notificaiton. Add values to this list, or create a new list and point to it.

First i apologize for users here becasue i have to repost this. May be i did not ask proper question last time
Currently my users got the internet expense or requsition approval in an email with an attachment and when users open the attachment the Oracle HTML page open and allow click on approval or reject. This works fine from outlook email from desktop. But when users receive the email on iPad the attachment does not open. It give the blank page.
Can someone advise how can user approve the work flow notification from iPad. This is my analysis for our requirement. Can someone advise am i on right direction. if there is any Oracle docuemnt available then please provide the doscument detail or sequence of doscument that i need to follow
Set up the IMAP4 compilance unique inbound email with INBOX, PROCESS and DISCARD folders
Configure the inbound email from OTM
Ignore the outbound email configuratiion from OTM becasue it is already working. It is set with SMTP
Check the inbound and outbound connection from ebs server
If you can not ping the IMAP server or telnet the SMTP server from ebs server. Make sure firewall/ports are open
Add inbound and outbound server entry in server host file
Apply the patch 16328729 for iPad compatibility
Test it
What would be the over all impact of this change. will the users still able to approve the notification using the attachment or this will change.

Workflow Notification Mailer continues to fail with a STOPPED_ERROR component status

We are running the E-Business Suite version 12.1.3 (Standard) on Solaris Operating System (SPARC 64-bit). Multi-Org enabled. We just applied over the weekend RUP 7 patch 18004477. We have several seeded and customized workflows running (HR, BENEFITS, GRC, AP, AR etc).
The Workflow Notification Mailer continues to stop in error with this message in fnd_svc_components:
STOPPED_ERROR - Maximum number of errors (10000) have been reached for this Service Component -> oracle.apps.fnd.cp.gsc.ProcessorException: An unexpected RuntimeException or Throwable occurred -> java.lang.NullPointerException
It only runs for a few minutes before ending in error.
I attached the last Workflow Notification Mailer log entries begining around where the component exited with the error above. I suspect that one of the error messages above is the problem. I can send more of the log if necessary.
Due the error message above regarding the maximum number errors we have updated wf_notifications and wf_items table for any rows that are 'WFERROR' to CLOSED status and to a mail_status of SENT. In wf_items we set the end_date to the sysdate for the items where the item type = 'WFERROR'. Despite this we are still receiving this error with the Workflow Notification Mailer.
Does anyone have an idea what is causing the component to shut down with this message? I would greatly appreciate any help with this issue that we are having.

After clone workflow notifications were not reciving users

Hi,
Workflow notifications were not reciiving by users after successfully clonned the system.
But O/s level we able to send the requests to users using mailx. cocnurrent program out & log files also recing users.
all workflow components are upa nd running. Please let me know any updates we need to change at databse level.
Environemnt : 12.1.1 running on 2 node environment. where DB on one server & apps on one server.

Change Workflow Notifications

Hi Experts,
We are using custom workflow which was copied from WS33700137. We have created notifications within workflow by using Activity/BOR Objects.
Notifications are working fine in case of Create / Withdrawn / Approve / Reject.
We are not able to add BOR Object for Change workflow.
For Example, An employee created leave request for 08.04.2014 and request sent to the Manager. Manager hasn't approved yet and now employee goes and change the leave type or added reason. In this case, it doesn't create new work item. Details are update only in the container.
Even if we see SWI1, it has work item timings which was created at the first time. It doesn't update anything for change.
In this scenario, where we can add our BOR Object for notifications in case of any change. Please go through the SWDD graph and guide us, where we can add change BOR Object Notifications.
Appreciate your kind guidance on this.

I don't yet have experience with WS33700137. I suppose this is the "new" leave request workflow?
I am a bit confused that what you mean by notifications? Do you mean the approval work items? What do you want to happen when the employee changes the leave?
Here are couple of pointers that might lead you to right directions:
First of all, at least in the old leave request workflow things worked like this: If employee sent a leave for approval, but changed it before the manager approved it, nothing really happened (because the leave wasn't yet posted to the infotype). No new workflow was started, and the same approval work item stayed in the manager's inbox. BUT if the manager had approved the leave, and it was posted to the infotype, then if the employee changed the leave, a new workflow was started. (You might want to check if this is something that you can change in the IMG).
Secondly, you should probably check the BADIs of the leave request functionality. There are some methods that you can put your own code into, so perhaps you can do whatever you are looking for in one of these methods (=>When leave request is being changed, etc. But please pay attention to what I said earlier: Changing a posted leave request is a different thing compared to the pending leave.).

Edit Workflow Notification Mailer corrupting context file

Hello
Got a strange one here.
just installed Minipack 11i AD.I.4 on our live server.
came to clone it over and all seems to work to plan until i come to amend the Workflow Notification Mailer settings, i just want to add in a test address to send all workflow notifications to.
The second i press the next button my context file on the AppsTier reduces by 6k in size.
if i then try to shut the apps tier down it complains about the context file being corrupt.
Any idea's??

Workflow notification has extra text

I am required to change the text that appears in the notification an approver sees when a Leave Request is generated. In the workflow in SWDD I found the task but not all the text is there. There is additional text that appears above this in the notification but I can't find where it comes from. Could there be a user-exit that adds some extra text into the notification ?
Text in the task:
&NAME& has submitted a leave request &ABSENCETYPEDESCRIPTION& from
&ABSENCEFROM& through &ABSENCETO&.
Text that appears in the notification:
Work item in R/3 System:PRD

Sending Workflow notification with OAF page link through PL/SQL

I have a requirement where I want to send a FYI notification to a user.
And I have to add a link to my OAF screen in this workflow notification.
Please let me know if i have to create a workflow for this or can this be done by calling some workflow api.

Try by defining the message attribute holding the link to the framework region. Then, once the notification has been created (sent) call WF_NOTIFICATIONS.SetAttrText to set the value of the region in that attribute value.

We have a SharePoint Foundation 2013 workflow that sends emails when certain criteria are met. We have tried to customize the emails using SharePoint Designer, but the emails that are received are different.
Ho do we configure SharePoint to send the emails formatted as we specified in the workflow?
The emails we receive are all formatted like this:

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to customize SharePoint Foundation 2013 workflow notification emails.
We’ll need to do a few things to replace SharePoint’s default notification with our own. The first thing we need to do is turn off SharePoint’s default notification. On the Workflow Tasks list, go the Advanced Settings and select
No for Send e-mail when ownership is assigned. Then we need to create workflow to send email.
There is an article for your reference, although it is about the SharePoint 2007, it still works for SharePoint 2013.
