Add Parameters in html report header

Hi All,
I would like to add few parameters/items in the header of my html report. I don't know how to pass my parameters in my main sequence to report file.
Pls advise.
Thanks
toko..

Hello toko,
Were you able to find the information you want? As Ray said, there is an example that ships with TestStand that shows how to customize reports that you may want to reference.  You can find it at C:\Program Files\National Instruments\TestStand 4.0\Examples\ModifyingReports. If you have further questions please feel free to post.

  • How to add parameters to xml report header

    All,
    I've added two new parameters to my UUT information dialog (I made my own UUT information dialog) and I'd like to pass them to the header of my xml report.  The style sheet I've chosen to use is "report.xsl" and I've already added the two rows to my header; so what I'd like to do is pass these 2 parameters from the PreUUT callback to my report.
    First question: Is this possible?
    Seconds question: I've struggled finding "reading material" on this topic and am looking for some helpful hints on where to start.  To me this doesnt seem like something that should be that difficult, but maybe I'm mistaken?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Bill

    Hi Bill,
    In addition to making changes to the style sheet, we must also include the parameters you want to dispaly in the XML file using the ModifyReportHeader Callback. Please refer to this KnowledgeBase article for more information.

  • Need help showing multiple parameters in a report header

    Post Author: Annette
    CA Forum: Formula
    hi-- i am new to this and i have created a report where the person picks one or more items (they are different hospital suites) and i need for them to print on the report header all of the selections that they chose. right now it only prints the name of the first one they choose..
    any help would be good..
    i do know it's a string value....
    thank-you for anything you can help me with....
    basically if 1 is picked then it needs to state that name, if 2 or more are picked id like it to say Name, name, name, etx...

    Post Author: Annette
    CA Forum: Formula
    the actual parameter is a number, but what im trying to populate on the heading is the name of the number..
    for example... when you choose the resource unit of 31 when you refresh i want it to show the name of it which is ORA Surgery.... but if they choose 31 & 53 then id like it to show ORA Surgery, ORD Surgery.... right now it just pulls the first name choosen.. does that make sense..
    so the parameter is a number, but the name(the one i want populated)  is a string
    and oh gosh,, thanks for your quick responses..

  • How do I add a logo in the header of a TestStand 2012 HTML report?

    I've been trying to add a company logo to the header of a HTML report on TestStand 2012 without success. I've followed the help topic below however this seems to be for TestStand 3.1 and does not work on 2012.
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/3FD69C34EEF13E3786257448006A5F43
    I'm able to add pictures to the XML and ATML reports however I want to stick with HTML and everything I try does not seem to work!
    Any help would be hugely appreciated.
    Many Thanks
    Sam Beutelspacher

    In TestStand 2012, the ReportHeader string no longer contains a <body> tag, so you can directly append the extra HTML to the parameter without needing to do a search and replace.  The following expression worked in my case:
    Parameters.ReportHeader = "\R\N<IMG src=\"C:\\NI.JPG\" ALT=\"NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS\">" + Parameters.ReportHeader

  • Add a logo to the header definition of an Interactive Report

    Hi Folks.
    Using Apex 3.1 and BI Publisher.
    I am enabling an Interactive Report region to output to PDF & Excel.
    Has anyone managed to add a logo to the Header/footer definition in the Print Attributes section?
    Is it possible? The region definition does not understand simple HTML syntax.
    If anyone would let me know if a) They've done it or b) It ain't possible that would be great.
    Many thanks.
    Dogfighter.

    Just reading through this thread. So perhaps a few comments might be helpful:
    - Interactive report regions do currently not support Report Layouts, you're limited to the built-in generic layout and won't be able to include images
    - You can add a button to your interactive report region page which could initiate the download of a report query, when doing this, you would get the result set of your report query not the interactive report region, so even if the queries are the same, you might have different filters applied to your interactive report
    - You can in fact include static images in your RTF report layouts using the BI Publisher Desktop Word Plug-In and MS Word, so you can have logos etc in your PDF documents. But report layouts currently only work with report queries and classic report regions
    - You can also include dynamic images in your PDF, e.g. based on images stored in a BLOB column, there's currently a character escaping issue causing some trouble with this, which will be fixed in 3.1.1, more on that once 3.1.1 is out (soon)
    - the print server overwrite is designed to point to a different print server than the one configured for your APEX instance, not to point to a specific report. So if your instance has BI Publisher configured, but for a specific report you want to do some special rendering using your own code, you can write e.g. a JSP, Servlet, etc that's doing the rendering, and then point yout report to that URL
    Hope this helps, we do plan to add support for report layout to interactive report regions in the next full release of Application Express

  • Display multiple parameters in report header

    i am attempting to display a multiple parameter selection in my report header
    i user
    join({?parameter},",")
    in the stored proc it is a varchar
    in the formula editor i receive this error
    a string array is required here
    what do i need to do to display the selected parameter values
    i have used this function before with varchars and have had no problems

    i used the following syntax in my sp which produced the correct results. i just placed the parameter in the header without using the join function and it works like a charm.
    ALTER   PROCEDURE [dbo].[Pr_orn_whse_rcpts]
         (@From_Crt_Dte     datetime ,
          @To_Crt_Dte     datetime,
         @whse          varchar(90))
    AS
    CREATE TABLE #T_Localwhs
         warehouse varchar(6) null
    DECLARE
         @var     varchar(6),
         @i     numeric,
         @whs     varchar(6),
         @chk     numeric
    SET @i = 1
    SET @var = (charindex(',',@whse))
    IF @var <> 0
         BEGIN
         WHILE (@i < @var)
              BEGIN
                   --SET @var = (CHARINDEX(',',@whse))
                   SET @whs = LTRIM(LEFT(@whse, (@var-1)))
                   INSERT #T_Localwhs (warehouse) VALUES (@whs)
                   SET @whse = RIGHT(@whse, (LEN(@whse)-@var))
                   SET @var = (CHARINDEX(',',@whse))
              END
         INSERT #T_Localwhs (warehouse) VALUES (LTRIM(@whse))
         END
    ELSE
         BEGIN
         INSERT #T_Localwhs (warehouse) VALUES (LTRIM(@whse))
         END
    then you add a nested query to join it to the sp. as below. above your where statement.
    JOIN
              SELECT DISTINCT
                   Warehouse
              FROM      #T_Localwhs
              ) TW
         ON     in_wthdr_tbl.in_wthdr_frwhs = TW.warehouse

  • Displaying Date Parameters in Report Heading

    Post Author: Jim-1003
    CA Forum: Formula
    Hello,
    I am new to Crystal Reports, and I am trying to improve an existing report definition so that the beginning and end dates selected by the user are displayed as part of the report heading.  I saw something similar in the report samples, but the sample uses custom functions that apply only to that report -- cdFormatDateRange and cdSpecialDateRange.  I have not found any documentation on how those functions were created or how to use them. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Post Author: Jim-1003
    CA Forum: Formula
    After some digging, I did find out more.  First of all, in the options for my Parameter, the option to allow multiple entries was set to true, so I didn't really have a range, but an array of ranges, which confused the editor.
    Second, I finally did find the source code for cdFormatDateRange, which allowed me to reuse it by copying it into the clipboard and pasting it into my report.

  • How to add image of Front panel TAGS to html report?

    I have a VI with several tabs some of which I would like to append to an HTML report. So far I have managed to include just the front panel front tab (using the Append Front Panel Image to Report.vi. Is it possible to create an image of the tabs in order to append to my report?
    I'm using LabVIEW 7.1 on windows 2000
    Thanks for any help. It would be greately appreciated.
    Eduardo

    Hello Eduardo,
    In order to accomplish this, you'll need to use the Append Control Image to Report VI in a loop.  On each iteration of the loop, programmatically change the Tab Control page (with a local variable or the Value property), then append the tab control image to the report.  That way you'll have N images in the report, where N is the number of pages in your tab control.
    Hope this helps,

  • How to edit "Station ID" to "Test Bench ID" name in HTML Report (TestStand 4.2)...?

    Hi Folks,
    I have regular HTML report from TestStand 4.2; particularly i want to change the header from "Station ID" name to "Test Bench ID" name.
    Can anyone help me on this...?
    Thanks for your help...!!!
    SB_LV

    Here are just 3 options:
    1- Probably the easiest and best option.  Open this file: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\TestStand 4.2\Components\Language\English\ModelStrings.ini.  Search for RPT_HEADER_STATION_ID.  Replace the Station ID in the quotes with Test Bench ID:. The ModelStrings.ini is a resource strings file that contains a bunch of basically "global values" that TS references.
    2- If you don't want to change your resource strings then open this sequence file: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\TestStand 4.2\Components\Models\TestStandModels\reportgen_html.seq.  Open the sequence in there titled- AddReportHeader.  Find the step named- Add Station ID.  It should be a statement step.  In the Expression replace ResStr("MODEL", "RPT_HEADER_STATION_ID") with "Test Bench ID:".  This directly edits your process model and every sequence ran on the machine will see the change.
    3- Add the Modify Report Header callback to your sequence file.  In there you will have ot search the Parameters.ReportHeader string for Station ID: and replace it with Test Bench ID.  This will not affect the process model.
    Hope that helps,

  • Teststand Customizing Report Header - XML

    I wanted to simply add an image to the report header, and I use the ModifyReportHeader callback and the added the following expression.  This shows the image correctly for HTMl report, but gives an error with the XML style with expand.xsl style sheet.
    What did I do wrong?
    Parameters.ReportHeader = "<img src='C:\\Logo.jpg'>" + Parameters.ReportHeader
    Thanks,
    Top Cat

    Top Cat,
    first of all, you are missing the closing tag '</img>'. This is optional for HTML, but required for XML. This will remove the error message.
    But still, the image will not be displayed because the style sheet does not instruct the browser to do so. The best approach for you is to modify the style sheet (backup it first!) to display your image. If it is a static image, this is all you have to do.
    hope this helps,

  • Add Image in ABAP Report

    Hi All,
    I want add image in ABAP Report.
    Please let me know how it can be done?
    Regards,
    Jagdish More

    Hi Jagdish,
    to upload the image follow these steps.
    1. Upload image in web repository.
    Go to Transaction SMW0 to upload the image in SAP web Repository. elect second radiobutton u201DBinary data for WebRFC applicationsu201D and click on find.
    2.     Click on Execute.
    3.     Click on Create and give the obj.name and description and click on import.
    once the image gets uploaded.in your program do the following
    1.     Create a Screen.Go to Layout and create Custom Control.I have named it as u2018CONTAINERu2019.
    2.     Declare container(Custom Control name),picture(child of Container) and url in Top of the program.
    data container type ref to cl_gui_custom_container.
    data picture type ref to cl_gui_picture.
    data url(256).
    3.     Now create the object Container and Picture.
    create object container
           exporting container_name = 'CONTAINER'.//name of the custom control
        create object picture
           exporting  parent = container
           exceptions error = 1.
    4.     Now we have to load the picture from the database which we have uploaded. For this we need to declare the following:-
      data query_table like w3query occurs 1 with header line.
      data html_table like w3html occurs 1.
      data return_code like  w3param-ret_code.
      data content_type like  w3param-cont_type.
      data content_length like  w3param-cont_len.
      data pic_data like w3mime occurs 0.
      data pic_size type i.
    5.     Refresh the Query table and give the name of Query table as u2018_OBJECT_ID_u2019 and value as the name of logo/Image which u have uploaded.Append the value in the Query Table.
      refresh query_table.
      query_table-name = '_OBJECT_ID'.
      query_table-value = 'ZLOGO.GIF'."name of logo
      append query_table.
    6.     Now call the function WWW_GET_MIME_OBJECT to get the logo/image which u have uploaded and call the function DP_CREATE_URL to create the url where the image is present.
    call function 'WWW_GET_MIME_OBJECT'
        tables
          query_string        = query_table
          html                = html_table
          mime                = pic_data
        changing
          return_code         = return_code
          content_type        = content_type
          content_length      = content_length
        exceptions
          object_not_found    = 1
          parameter_not_found = 2
          others              = 3.
      if sy-subrc = 0.
        pic_size = content_length.
      endif.
      call function 'DP_CREATE_URL'
        exporting
          type     = 'image'
          subtype  = cndp_sap_tab_unknown
          size     = pic_size
          lifetime = cndp_lifetime_transaction
        tables
          data     = pic_data
        changing
          url      = url
        exceptions
          others   = 1.
    7.     Finally we have to upload the image from the URL, this can be done by calling the method: picture->load_picture_from_url
    call method picture->load_picture_from_url
    exporting
    url = url.
    Now Save,Activate and Execute the Program , Image/Logo got successfully uploaded.
    I have already done this program and uploaded the image...
    this will surely help you
    Thanks and regards,

  • How to control background color of table cell in an html report?

    I am using Labview 6.1 to generate a report.  In that report there is a table created using the Append Numeric Table to Report VI.  I want to be able to programmatically control the background color of each cell in the table.  Also, how can I programmatically control the background color of the row and header cells of the same table.  I am also generating a second table in the same report using the Append Text Table to Report VI and I would like to programmatically control the background colors of the cells in that table as well.  Thanks.

    Hi epsilon-d...,
    i´m not sure if there is an ready to use function to do what you want, but you can enlarge the available function. Open the "Append Numeric Table to Report.vi" and go to the HTML Case. There you can see another vi which creates the html table. In the VI "HTML Report Table Row" you can add the option: bgcolor="your color" inside of the "TR" tag.
    Hope it helps.
