Add photo to Speed Dial
Hello, I have had my Z10 4 days and this forum has been invaluable. I am becoming very comfortable with things. I have have added my speed dial contacts but do not seem to be able to save the avitar. When I go to the contacts page, click on avitar add a photo it still does not appear on the other screen. Can anyone help? K

Hi guys so I deleted all 4 contacts form speed dial to put some others but now I can't see the add contact tlo speed dial button any help would be appreciated!
Open the Phone app. Click on Contacts. Find the contact you want to add as a speed dial. Touch and hold the number you want to use for the speed dial. A menu will pop out from the right side. Click the Star to add as a speed dial.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Smartphones! We do offer in-store or online Smartphone Workshops to help customers get acclimated with their devices. Additionally, here are the steps on how to add or remove speed dials:
Add Speed dial
From the main screen tap Phone
Tap Menu
Tap Speed dial settings
Remove Speed dial
From the main screen tap Phone
Tap Menu
Tap Speed dial settings
Tap Menu
Tap Remove
Select the contact to remove from speed dials and press the "Red X" icon to remove

I am having g trouble finding how to set up the touch and hold speed dial functions on my bb10. Is this still available on this phone? If so where would I find it? Thanks in advance.
JohnSpeed dial is little diffrent on the Z10 than the old BB smart phones. Instead of pressing a number on the dial pad to dial someone. It puts an icon on your list, up to 9 including your voicemail icon. To do this, click on the phone icon on your home page, Click on Contacts, Find the person you want to add to speed dial, Click on their name and their phone numbers slid out. Select which number of your contact you want on speed dial and hold it down for 2 seconds. A little Star pops on the right, click on it and it will add to your speed dial .To make it easier, add a picture to your contacts and it will have their picture on the speed dial.

How do I add a speed dial to my iphone with a pause in it to dial an extension?
I can make an icon for a speed dial, but it will not allow me to use a comma as a pause to dial an extion to the phone number. Example: phone number being dialed is 507-555-555 (pause) extension: 55555 http://5075554444,12345.tel.qlnk.net is what I tried.

MAC filtering is NO security measure against anyone who wants to get into your system for malicious reasons.
That said, the MAC address list is kept in your router settings. Type the router's IP address into a browser to access.

This is a question/suggestion I think. I don't believe there is any current way to put contacts on the home screen as a speed dial button, if I am wrong, please correct me with instructions on how to do so. If I am right, however, I think a nice feature Apple should consider in putting in a future software update for iPhone would be to make contacts available as speed dial buttons on the home screen.
Follow these instructions to put a custom icon on the home screen. It's not speed dial exactly, but it's fun.
1. Go to http://webclip.us on your computer (not on your phone) and click on "create now".
2. In icon label, type what you want to call your icon.
3. In URL, type either the URL of the website you want to link to, or for a phone number link, type http://##########.tel.QLNK.net (where ########## is the 10 digit phone number you want). You must enter the http:// - it won't work otherwise.
4. In "icon file", click the arrow to browse to the photo or image on your computer that you want the icon to display.
5. Enter the security code shown, then click "upload now". You will get a "webclip number".
6. Now on your iPhone in Safari, go to http://webclip.us and enter the webclip number your computer just generated, and tap Go.
7. Use the plus sign to add the icon to your home screen, change the name to whatever you want, and you will have a cool little icon with the photo you uploaded!
If you used the phone number option, when you tap the icon on your home page, it will launch Safari and then pop up "Call" and "Cancel" buttons to call that phone number directly. If you used a website URL, it will launch that website just like a regular webclip.
So I now have an icon with a picture of my husband's face on it that dials his phone number. Very cool!!

How do I program pauses and/or waits in speed dials
I am using Cisco IP Communicator 8.6.1.0 softphone. I have entered speed dials and I am looking for how to enter a pause or wait so that it can dial the conference phone number and then enter the conference code. The popup says I can only enter numbers (0-9), plus ( + ), asterisk (*), or pound (#). If I enter a plus, the phone gives me a busy signal when dialing. I cannot enter a comma (,) which is common elsewhere.
I've asked my company's Help Desk and they don't know. Cisco Support says to talk to my company's Help Desk. I can't find mention of "pause" in the documentation I've been able to find.Try writing a rule, Mail Preferences, Rules tab, click add rule.

Go to the phone / UDP configuration page and check the Phone Button Template and check whether you have enough lines available to configure as speed dials. If not create a new Phone button template with sufficient speed dial lines and assosiate the newlt created Phone Button Template to your phone / UDP configuration page. Clikc the link Add/Update Speed Dials on the same page and update the speed dial with the requested entries with the Label asthe Speed dial Label and the Number as the number where the speed dial shld reach.
The UDP profiles has to log out and login back for the changes to take effect.

I have just downloaded Firefox into a new computer. The firefox I had in my old computer had one (9 pt) icon at one end that brought up the speed 9 speed dial windows. It also had another similar icon at the other end of the tool bar that you could click on and place a website you were looking at into a particular window. This add on does not have that feature, which makes it very hard to make entries into the windows.
Also I have not found the way to add other groups of windows as I had before. I could even label them in categories. What to do?

Next ensure you have any of the 564 ink cartridges, once the printer being reset it require all the 4 ink cartridges to work

Q10 speed-dial and texting issues

I am setting up a q10 for my wife, and i also have one.
I cannot do speed dial on my q10. I have two brand new identical devices and one can do speed dials, and one cant.. I can set up the speed dials, but it doesnt activate when i do a longpress.
Also when i longpress a number in my call log it doesnt give me the option of sending a text, whereas my other devices does.
Also when i play a song it deosnt give me the choice to add that song as a ringtone whereas it gives me that choice and other choices on my other device.
My questions are:
Is there a way i can restore some defaults to have these features, or change options so i can have these same features that i have on my idetical device.

Freetalk-1200 Connect.Me speed dial problem
Just received my long awaited Connect.Me and it's been working just as I expected. The only problem I encountered was that I couldn't assing speed dial numbers to 2 of my contacts. Others work perfectly, when I click them, box of information appears to the middle of the screen, but when I click one of the two with the problem, nothing happens.
I have tried everything like resetting from the button and from the web UI, deleting and adding them again to my contacts but nothing helps. Adding new contacts works fine. I would not rather create a new Skype account for my self - nor ask these two friends to make a new account for themselves - just because of this problem. Any kind of advice is welcome
Cheers from Finland!Skype hasn't supported speed dials in it's software for some time. It's considered a legacy feature. The use of speed dials is configured through the Freetalk Connect Me web interface, not the Skype client. You need to sign into your Connect Me device via your web browser and click on "Contacts and Speed Dials". Once there all your contacts will be listed on the left pane. Select any one of those contacts and click "ADD TO SPEED DIAL". It will assign a speed dial number incrementally on the right pane. You can change that number to a number of your choosing (0-99) at any time. That's all it takes to set up. If you recently add a contact it my not show on that list. If it doesn't sign off the client in which you added the contact or contact changes, then power cycle the Connect Me box and log back in. It should update. If it does not, the only other alternative is to do a factory reset on the unit so that it will purge the list and updated it with the latest copy. Below I attached an image of the screen, though it may take some time until it gets approved and displayed to the general public.

How do I put a pause in a speed dial on a DX650?
I would like to set up a speed dial for a daily conference call so it will dial the phone number, pause, then add the conference code.
I tried , and . and # and they are not working.I did some more research, and found out that the comma (,) pauses, but the pause is incredibly short so I didn't even notice. After experimenting, putting in 20 commas between the phone number and the conference code, it worked.

Since I cannot go without the McAfee Site advisor, I ran a system restore. THAT did not work, Firefox won't start. So, I reinstalled 3.6. That got Site Advisor to work again, only to lose the MOST important add on I had Speed Dial. Its says it is there, and I can tell it what options to use, but IT WILL NO LONGER WORK WITH FIREFOX. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the add on. THAT DID NOT WORK. Stupidest thing I ever did was trust this UPDATE! It has RUINED my browser's BEST add ons.mkarr, I recommend to use the PC Suite because it creates a modem once which can be re-used. Did that help?
