Because it would be a lot of work and you can already add them yourself using the DNG Profile Creator.
The Camera Calibration panel as you already know, gives you the basic Canon picture styles and as Lee Jay pointed out you can create your own with DNG profile creator.
You can also make Presets using the other develop settings to duplicate look of Picture styles if you like. Though using calibration presets does a better job of getting the fundamental colours right, but as you can include them in Presets you can mix and match to your heart's desire.
I have to say after looking at the rather small Canon examples, with some of them it was hard to discern much if any difference and with others, they are easy to reproduce by making your own LR presets.

Canon 70D - firmware feature request - separate photo / video picture style

Hello, Canon.
I dont know, if there is a dedicated way of making a feature request for a firmware update?
I have a simple problem, so please take a look at it. When I choose a picture style in photo mode, the same style is activating for the video mode and vice-versa.
The previous camera that I had, the 60D, was remembering the video and the photo picture style separately.
I will appreciate it, if you make this behaviour available for the 70D.
It can cause a headache, if you need to shoot a video with a custom picture style, but then forget to turn it off for a photo shoot, or the other way around.

I wouldn't get your hopes up though, Canon doesn't really do a lot of feature add-ons through firmware, mostly they just put bandaides on mistakes.

Apert. fixes/messes with picture style when loading.

Hi, Im using a canon rebel Xti. and I love using aperture except for the fact that it changes my picture style and many other things to its own standard when it loads from my card. I can see in the preview its a totally different images, then it loads onto my computer and when i click it by the next load the image is fixed in aperture's style. When i load it with other photo programs, the pictuer style stays. Anyone know how to let aperture know I want to be HANDS OFF my image until I can do the fixing? Seriously the image looks completely different with lighting exposure etc

when shooting RAW, the camera captures as is ... the picture style info is a set of instructions that canon's dpp software uses to translate the image ... this is the only program i am aware of that will use this proprietary info, which other programs read it for you ???
RAW images are raw data ...
aperture reads your RAW, not canon's instructions ...
so technically, aperture is HANDS OFF your image, you are trying to add adjustments with the picture styles ...
the preview is the embedded jpg that the camera creates for teh thumbnail, etc ...
what are the "many other things" it changes ???

With Family Sharing enabled, you get a Family album that all members can add pictures to.
Family Sharing
The whole family can contribute to the family photo album.
Now collecting and sharing family memories is easier and more fun. When Family Sharing is turned on, a shared album is set up automatically in the Photos app on all family members’ devices. Then everyone can add photos, videos, and comments to the album and be notified when something new is added.
Just have them add the pictures to the Family album.

Can not add pictures to my website

When I edit my website on (bluedomino.com) I can not add pictures I receive an error message - an error has interrupted communication between your browser and the website server. Bluedomino looked at the problem and could not resolve said it was firefox issue. I switched over to Int.Explore and I have no problem it also seems to run faster. I have no problem viewing my web sites all the pictures display I can't add new ones. I'm able to upload the pictures to bluedomino but can not insert them on the edit page or post them.

This can be worked around by creating a version of the video that is compatible with your iPod.
Select a video and choose File > Create New Version > Create iPad or Apple TV Version.

In Premiere Elements 13/13.1, your export choices are in the Publish+Share section of the project. There are several choices and sub-choices.
Example: Publish+Share/Computer/and then a list of choices under that, such as, MPEG, AVI, AVCHD, XAVC-S, Windows Media, QuickTime, Image, Audio.
And each has Presets which define the export settings. Adobe offers default settings which are usually optimized ones. But, it also allows you to customize the preset selected. You do that by clicking on the Advanced Button of the selected preset and customizing the settings under the Video Tab, Audio Tab, and, if applicable, Multiplexer Tab.
From what you wrote, I thought that you might be asking about exporting a video with a video codec = Photo JPEG.
To do that you would to to
Publish+Share
Computer
QuickTime
with Presets = either the one for 4:3 of 16:9 as appropriate for your project,
and then clicking on the Advanced Button, and then the Video Tab under the Advanced Button.
Then selecting Photo JPEG for the video codec field.
Tip: The QuickTime choice is not seen unless you scroll down the list of Computer choices. Use the thin scroll bar to the right of the Computer choices.
Please explore Premiere Elements 13/13.1's Publish+Share/Disc/DVD with standard or widescreen preset for your creation of the DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc.
The Premiere Elements timeline destined for this choice could consistent of supported photos and or videos.
Please consider.

Is there any way to turn off the auto formatting in Pages? I just want to type a letter and add pictures and titles, and Pages keeps changing font sizes and doesn't let me "Do it my way". I HATE this!

Is there any way to turn off the auto formatting in Pages? I'm using a blank document, so I figured I could write my letter and add pictures any way I wanted to. But NO! Pages keeps changing the font size! I typed a large heading as a title, and when I try to change to a smaller font for the body of the letter, it changes the size back to the larger size! I am getting SO FRUSTRATED! I've spent over an hour trying to get the stupid program to let me just type my letter! Can anyone help?

The only one left is the "unsubmitted text" dialogue, which would not be a problem if I were not a Facebook user; after updating the "Richard is..." field (which does not require a manual submit to actually send) I get the above message. This is obviously Safari just not realising that the info has been sent and is therefore (I imagine) one for Apple themselves to answer!!

Not being a Facebook User, I'm not sure how to respond to the error situation. However, this would be something to report to Apple as a bug via the Safari Menu. First, open to the page in question, then select "Report Bugs to Apple".

Multiple Paragraph Styles / "Add-On" Styles

Not exactly sure how to clearly describe what I'm after but I'd love to see if Adobe could incorporate this feature.
I'd love to have an "add on" style where I could apply a paragraph style and any number of "add on" paragraph styles to it.
For example, say I have three different styles and I need to have the same styles but with a different size. That would require me creating six styles. I'd love to be able to set a style and then an "add on style" for the size, which would reduce the number of styles I had to define, so in this case, the three styles and a fourth "add on style" for the size.
In some cases like the one above I can use character styles but in a specific document I'm after I have several different paragraph styles requiring different "space after" amounts and I have to define many styles than I'd ideally like. Also it would be useful to be able to just click into the paragraph and add "add-on" styles to it.

For me more important would be the user defined grid unit which could be used as the unit in defining interline, space before, space after etc.
For example You have the layout based on interline baseline grid equal to 14 pt. So every space before, space after etc. you define as the part of you grid, for example 14/2 pt or 14/3 pt ect.
When you decide to change inteline grid form 14 pt to 13.5 pt you must change every space after, and every interline etc. manually.
If you will have the a gid unit and ability to define interline and spacing as a part or as a multiplication of the grid unit it would be only one shot to change all layout.

Hi Lee,
In the example, you're trying to apply InDesign formatting to a JavaScript string (from an InDesign dialog box text field). That won't work, because the JavaScript string doesn't know anything about InDesign text objects.
I'm assuming, however, that what you want is to change the formatting of the text on your page. To do that, you can use the findText method on the text, story, or document. Here's an example (the relevant part is the "mySnippet" function--the rest is just setting up an example):

Canon (EOS 50D) Picture Styles in LR41

Hey there,
first let me tell you that I'm familiar with LR concepts. I read a lot about RAW processing, color profiles and stuff. It all makes sense to me.
That having said... I'm unfortunatly quite unhappy with LR's color reproduction. It seems technically very accurate; unfortunatly -- Canon's own "Standard Picture Style" (so OOC JPEGs) are in most cases much nicer to look at, color-wise.
I know it's not me alone having this feeling (just do a quick search).
Adobe provides look-alike profiles (.DCP-files) which are supposed to imitate Canon's Picture Styles. Unfortunatly none of these Adobe-profiles comes close (enough, IMHO) - most annoying thing for me is a strange blue/green cast in darker areas, e.g. shadows in daylight conditions are too bright and too blueish.
Remember, I'm using a EOS 50D (which probably won't get profile updates any more by Adobe, I suppose...)
So here's my question:
Can I assume that Adobe already did the best they can to match Canon's Picture Style?
==> stop dreaming about a "better" "canon-50d-standard.dcp"-file.
Take it or leave it, stop crying.
Or is there a possibility to tweak existing profiles?
==> find out how.
Adobe's DCP editor, dcptool, whatever?
