Add resources to Outlook calendar item

We use Office 365 for small businesses and have a common problem when creating calendar items and inviting attendees.
Whenever an appointment is created and attendees invited, the attendees themselves cannot add further resources to the appointment. Is there any way to change settings in Exchange or Outlook that will enable invited attendees to add
more attendees or resources via the scheduling assistant?

Hi,
Based on the description, you want to achieve this goal that the attendees get this appointment and add new attendees to this appointment. If I misunderstood you concern, please let me know.
Per my knowledge, I'm afraid we can't do this in Exchange 2013. I'm not sure Outlook can work out this issue, you can ask this question in the Outlook forum, you might get a better answer there.

Assuming here you environment is Exchange 2013, if your environment is Office 365, the Office 365 forum can be a better place to answer your question.

  • Missing Outlook calendar items

    Hi,
Just got the new BB Curve for my birthday and am still getting used to it (I was an old Palm Treo 650 user).  Yesterday, everything synced fine on my BB and Outlook, however today all my Outlook calendar items are missing.  They are on my BB, but not my work Outlook.
How can I get them back to my Outlook calendar without re-keying?  Thanks in advance for any help.
    Taitia

    Hi Brian,
We use MS Outlook Exchange and I was told by a coworker to do the following.  Look at the meeting requests with attachments by size of the file.  Remove any attachments from the meeting requests that caused the file size to be greater than 1MB and save them offline.  This is even for meetings that are in the past.  Once they are all less than 1MB, power your iPhone or iPad down completely.  Turn it back on an viola they should be all back.  It worked for me.
    Good Luck

  • Outlook Calendar items added and deleted at same time

I have several repeating calendar items (like birthdays) in my Outlook calendar.  When I sync, I find that some are added (that I thought were there before) but some show as added and deleted at the same time to my blackberry... any ideas what may be causing the confusion?

I find myself with the same issue, I just wiped my computer and began syncing and installing all programs back into laptop, now i have noticed that outlook does not add the some events in my calender, for instance, birthdays , one thing that i have noticed is that it only syncs items that have my work email, my other 2 emails are not being synced and those are my blackberry and personal emails.
my syncing preferences are made to go both way sync ... what seems to be the problem
    thanks

  • Blackberry Complaint / Feature Request - Please add category support for calendar Items already

RIM: It's December 2010, and thousands of people have repeatedly asked for category support for calendar items for years now. In BB OS 5 & 6 we can assign categories to Contacts and Task items, but still not Calendar items? This makes no sense to me.
Many people rely on categories to keep their calendar items organized, and I'm baffled as to why such a simple feature request has continued to be ignored. Obviously BlackBerry's DO support Outlook/Exchange category syncing, since I can see all of my custom categories through the Task and Contact apps. When I add a new category for a contact, it gets synced between Outlook/Exchange and my Blackberry. The support is there. But for a professional/business smartphone OS, I'm taken back as to how this feature could be missing from the calendar in the first place.
Rim, please give us a response--a glimmer of hope--something to let us know that you are listening to us and plan on incorporating a category feature into the calendar! If the Blackberry OS didn't support categories at all, that would be a different matter and I would understand that maybe bit more development would be necessary to support this. But the capability is obviously already built in!!!
PLEASE listen to your customers RIM and give us this commonly requested feature as soon as possible!!!

    You're welcome.
I'd also suggest you call your carrier blackBerry tech support and make the point there, asking them to give it consideration on the next OS upgrade. RIM does listen to their partners.

  • Can´t create an afternoon Outlook calendar item on iCloud

I am using iCloud to synchronize items with my Mac. Outlook is configured with three calendars, its native calendar tied to my Outlook email address, a second calendar that I do not use tied to a generic email address that I do use, and the iCloud calendar. I am on temporary assignment in Mexico and the standard language setup is the following: OS menus are in English. Outlook menus are in English. Email text editing language is Spanish. Calendar items are in Spanish. The date format is Spanish using a.m. and p.m.
If I try to create an item in my iCloud calendar from Outlook, it will not allow me to specify a time in the afternoon. Any attempt to do so still results in getting an appointment for the same time in the morning (or, rather, very early morning). For example, I create an appointment for 2 p.m. It ends up being for 2 a.m. If I change it to 3 p.m., it ends up being changed to 3 a.m.
The workaround is to set up the item in the Outlook calendar for either of the email addresses, then dragging it into the iCloud calendar. Alternatively, the incorrect item in the iCloud calendar can be dragged into the Outlook calendar, adjusted to p.m., and then dragged back into iCloud.
Naturally, this does not happen on the Mac.
Is anyone aware of a fix for this?
The Mac is a MacBook Pro running Mavericks, but this problem really happens independently from the Mac. The version of Windows is Windows 7 Enterprise, 6.1.7601 (SP1). I am using Outlook 2013. iCloud control panel is 3.1.

Taken from the main screen of the iCloud.com website:
"To use iCloud, first set it up with your Apple ID on a device with iOS 5 or a Mac with OS X Lion."
    Did you follow this advice?

Having the same problem -- AppleBruce's fix didn't work for me -- and as I don't want to cross-post, the Topic "*iPhone will not sync to Outlook 2007 after 2.0 & iTunes 7.7 update*!" is also working on this issue. (My post from that Topic is below)
+Guys - for those of you that can't sync iPhone to Outlook 2003/07, check this out first:+
+Instead of using the Outlook view "Day/Week/Month," switch to the view, "Active Appointments." I originally thought my sync wasn't working, but all my appointments show in that view ... just not in the view I need and use the most -- the "Day/Week/Month" view!+
+I've followed AppleBruce's suggestion to the "T" twice, and it doesn't solve this issue (but thanks for that post ... it did clean up my calendar a bit!)+
+How can the iPhone sync all appointments to Outlook, but they only show up in the "Active Appointments" view??? Has anyone else noticed this?+

  • How to save earlier Outlook calendar items when syncing?

When I sync my new blackberry it prompts me to delete all calendar items from my desktop Outlook from before I had the blackberry.  How can I keep my earlier calendar items in my Outlook on my desktop?  I do not need them on my blackberry, but I do need them on my desktop as a record.
    Solved!

    carsonclark,
I run BBDTM 4.7.  I don't run blackberry enterprise server.
In BBDTM you can go to Synchronization>>Configure>>Synchronization  Select the "Synchronization" botton on the right.
On the new screen, select "Calendar" and click "Setup..."
    0) which mail application is selected?
    1) do you have "two way sync" selected form the second screen?
    2) do you have "transfer only future items" from the third screen?

  • Duplicate Outlook Calendar items on my iPad2-PINK & BLUE!

After I connected to iCloud I got duplicate calendar items - just on my iPad2, not on my PC's Outlook (2010). I now have Pink and Blue duplicate calendar items... Very pretty - but annoying. I see that Pink means from my pc - meaning before using iCloud, and blue meaning iCloud calendar and calendar items entered on the iPad2. Why do I get both? And who do items entered on the iPad2 NOT get synced over to Outlook? This kind of defeats the idea of syncing, if it doesn't go both ways, and it duplicates things.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Larry

    I found the answer.
    1. plug the phone in to your computer or wall plug or this does not work!
    2. Go to settings>Icloud> and turn off calander sync. Then delete all items. Now your iphone calendar should be blank.
    3. Now got to Icloud.com and log in using apple ID.
    4. Look at your calendar. On the left edit your calendars and remove all of them. Now your cloud calendar should be blank.
    5. Now go back to your Iphone cloud setting and turn calandar sync on. After awhile your Iphone calander should match your Outlook calnder and your Icloud calander should too.

  • Syncing deletes outlook calendar items

    Hello,
I've looked at past postings and found no resolutions there... PLEASE HELP!
When I sync my Blackberry curve 8330 with outlook 2007 it wants to delete all calendar items before October.  Fortunately I saw it said '367' deletions before I clicked ok, but it means I cannot sync my calendar with the BB.
    I have XP, Outlook 2007
    Desktop Manager 4.7.0.32
    I need this fixed urgently.
BTW, I also changed the setting on the BB calendar to 'keep items forever' and it did not resolve the issue.
    Thank you,
    Shane

Doesn't anyone have any suggestions or help with this issue?

  • Outlook Calendar items not quite on the right day on BB

I use Outlook to manage my diary and the Outlook calendar sychs with by Blackberry Curve (OS6).  However, the dates of some items (created in Outlook) are not consistent between Outlook and the Blackberry.  For example, for this Friday 28 October, I have an all day appointment and it appears correctly in Outlook.  On my Blackberry, the same appointment is dated Thursday 27 October and appears on both Thursday and Friday.
Can you help me fix this please???

    Hi 7cityRS
This sounds like you have a time zone problem.  Either the time zone is not set correctly on your BlackBerry or on your PC/Outlook.  For example, if they are off by one hour, an All-Day appointment, which is scheduled from 12am-12am in Outlook, would sycn to the BlackBerry and start at 11pm the previous day, making it stretch over 2 days.
    Thanks

  • Outlook calendar items I create not syncing with iphone

I am having difficulty with my outlook items syncing correctly with my iPhone.  Any calendar items that other people create are synced correctly but if I create an entry, they are not.
    Any suggestions?

Are you creating entries with the iPhone, iCal, or outlook? You should check which calendar is set as default. You might be entering events in a calendar that is not being synced, but it will still appear on the device you used for entry.
On the iPhone, this setting would be in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars  ... scroll to the bottom to find the CALENDARS section an look at the Default Calendar setting.

  • Duplicate Outlook Calendar Items after upgrade to os5

    Hi,
I upgraded to os 5 the other day on my Iphone 4. I have an MSN email account with an MSN calendar. I have a lot of daily calendar items which are like reminders. I usually delete that days recurring reminder each day or 2 to keep a clean calendar. After I upgraded I switched to the Cloud. After that sync, I have duplicate calendar items for EVERY item on my calendar back years ago. This includes both  onetime items and recurring (daily ,weekly, yearly) items.
I found an old post that said to turn off sync calendar and deletethe items off the phone then turn back on. Well, I went into setting>mail>cloud and turned off calendar sync and waited 10 minutes. It deleted the duplicates but kept all the rest. I then went and turned calendar syncback on and all the duplicates showed up again.
Any ideas on how to get rid of the duplicates?

  • BAD: Outlook Calendar items are removed as they occur!

I canceled my ME.COM account because it didn't work at all. The syncing affected my calendar and it looks like it tweaked something in iTunes.
When I sync - it looks like iTunes decides to remove events from my calendar in Outlook 2007. This is *TOTALLY UNNACEPTIBLE*! If I sync several times a day (which I do) - my calendar entries that have passed dissapear!
THIS WILL NEVER WORK for business. I am very dissapointed in the way iTunes works - I can't remove apps etc.
This will drive me back to a blackberry if I am not able to get support from Apple. I hope they are listening.
I need to sync bi-directionally and trust that the middleware won't destroy my data! This is not the case - I can no longer trust that ANYTHING coming from the iPhone will not destroy my Outlook calendar!
Perhaps this is how Apple wants to ensure I switch to a Mac! Sorry for the rant - but I have tried unsuccessfully to get ANY support...

Haven't seen this exact issue, but as part of a "best practices" document we prepared for users, we've told them NOT to update or accept appointments from any mobile device ( including IOS devices), just to do it from the Outlook client.  Microsoft has also published a couple of best practices documents which you should look at if you haven't.  Also, recurring meetings are a huge issue; for example, the MS best practices is only to create recurring appointments that won't change much, if at all...if there is a recurring meeting that changes frequently, it's better to schedule multiple individual instances of it than one recurring appointment.

  • Old Outlook Calendar items not staying synced on Razr Maxx

I sync my corporate exchange Outlook calendar with my phone and it seems to sync fine.  But it does appear that after a few weeks, most appointments (but not all) disappear.  I can't find an option to keep all old appointments for any period of time.  Suggestions?

DaveJ1 - what service?? I'm not syncing with google calendar, but between my phone calendar and exchange work Outlook. I haven't tried deleting the calendar and re-adding it. May try that next (yes, I'm still having problems)...

  • My Outlook calendar items won't show on my iPad

I am not very tech savvy. I use Outlook 2010 on my PC for all my calendar appointments. In other words, I enter all of my calendar appointments via Outlook 2010 on my PC. I want them to show up on my iPad Air as well. My iPad Air says the only way to sync my calendar is via iCloud, I can't do it via USB cable and iTunes sync. It also says it will happen automatically. Except it's not. The calendar is not syncing. None of the current or past appointments that are on the Outlook calendar on my PC show up on my iPad. Why is this? How do I get it to sync? I have gone everywhere, in iCloud, iTunes, on the iPad and in Outlook on my PC and I can't see anything that will make a sync occur.
What specific settings do I need to check or enable on either the iPad, in iCloud or on my PC to make the appointments on my PC Outlook calendar show up on my iPad Air?

Thanks, Sooner Al, I had read those support instructions before posting here and did not understand them. What nothing in there says is that Outlook has two versions: an Outlook data file version (My Calendar) and an iCloud version.Or maybe the support instructions say this but in a techhie way that I could not understand. Anyway, iPad will only sync with the iCloud version. The Outlook data file version will not sync to iPad. So, any appointments you enter using the Outlook data file version (My Calendar) will not sync to iPad. Also, you cannot copy appointments from the Outlook data file version to the iCloud version, you have to manually re-enter everything into the iCloud version.
I cannot use the iCloud version because it will not communicate properly with my clients who use Outlook and who constantly send me appointments. It's important that I be able to accept or decline these appointments in Outlook and the only way I can do this is to use the Outlook data file version. The iCloud version will not communicate back to my clients properly.
I dont' know why you can't just connect the iPad to iTunes on the computer using a USB cable and manually sync with Outlook like I can with my iPhone 4s. This works perfectly for my phone. Stupid that you HAVE to use iCloud with the iPad.
For anyone else reading this, I have found third party software that will copy all appointments from the Outlook data file version (My Calendar) into the iCloud version and allow them to sync with iPad. It is called Code Two Sync for iCloud. You can Google it for reviews, the download link, etc. I downloaded this and installed this and it did exactly what it was supposed to, and all of my appointments showed up on my iPad. However, there were a bunch of duplicates. I'm sure there is some way to fix this. The bigger issue for me is that I have an older computer that is having hard drive issues and the Code Two software crashed Outlook, so I had to uninstall it. However, maybe it will work for other people.
