Add sales view in Material number

Hi,
We have a material, which don't have Sales View.
How can we add sales view in it.
But this should be done for only 1 Material. because through oms2 transaction, we can extend according to material type..
Plz. guide...

You can only add a sales view to a material if the material type customizing allows sales views in general.
you certainly cannot create a sales view for a single material if the material type does not allow sales views.

Add Accounting View to material

I am trying to add an accounting view to a material. The material type was UNBW so I used transaction MMAM to change to material type HALB.
Now I go to MM01 and the system does not give me the option to add the accounting view. I know that UNBW materials should not have an accounting view. It is as if the system does not see that the material was changed from UNBW to HALB.

to add additional view to the HALB material or any other material type use Tcode "mm50". try this
or
one more option is using tcode mmo1
giving your halb material number twice means in material number place and copy from material place
when you enter into material master screen there will be additional tabs of screens which are not filled when you select them it will ask view is not maintained would you like to maintain then add views. is the same way which are using to add accounting view.

Blocking sales view when serial number is active

Dear all,
I want to block aq material. The basic data i.e. proc. view is alleadyu blocked, but the material will can sale. I want to block the sales view too. As there is serial no profile & serial level its not able to block the same. The poblem is serial level is improper in material, so when i m going to block material by sales view i.e. xdist. chain status & d. chain sp. status, while saving system throws an error "The field Serialization level is defined as a required field; it does not contain an entry". Even i given the serial level 1, again it throws an error" Asynchronous serial-/equipment numbers exist".
How to block the material by sales view.

Hi, Firstly if you have stocks along with serial number attached in the stocks then first you need to clear that, and then try to do the changes in 'Plant data storage 2' view in Material Master,
Then also check in T-code OMS9 for u2018Field sel. Groupu2019 44 Field name u2018MARA-SERLVu2019 & u2018MARC-SERNPu2019 is mandatory w.r.t. Field reference for material master, if there then change that,
Make new status for Sales purpose if required in OVSU & ten try to assign in material master.

Error when extend sales view for material master

Hi Experts,
Assume my plant is 5100. When i extend the sales view for materials via upload program,I am getting the error as ' Field 5100 has been transferred inconsistently or is blank'. Attached is the screen shot of the error message. I filled the plant,sales organization and all those data related sales view. But why i am getting this error?. Anyone have any ideas related to this error?. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Hi ,
Its because of the table T130W. The plant 5100 is not maintained in table T130W. Thats the reason. it shows this error.

Sales view for roh material

Hi, i want to extend to sales view for a roh that is already created. i have tried to do that thru mm01 and mm50, but system does not allow me. pls advise how to add sales view to a toh materail?

Hi Garapati,
Pleas read the answers of experts.
You have to use MM01 (create) transaction if you want to extend your material master record since you create new records in material master tables.
So you have to use MM01 if you create a brand new mmr and you have to use the same if you want to extend your mmr.

How to Change Material number in Accouting Document on ML81N

Hi,
I have a requirement to change the Material Number based on the User custom data from the Custom Tab.
Since Service PO does not contains any material number, so based on the custom tab, we are trying to update the same.
Using ML81N T-Code.
Please suggest is there any User Exit or BADI to add or change the Material number in the Accounting Document.

You have to update the field BSEG - MATNR from your custom field to see the material number in accounting document.
There are many exit or badi available for t-code ML81N.. Just find appropriate one by using the document Methods to find Customer/User Exit's & BADi's for a Transaction Code!

How to remove any view from material master

Hello guys,
   Actually we can attach the view to material master by MM01 and also by MM50.
   Now,consider this, in my company even we sale the semifinished material along with the finished material.So we have attached the sales view to semifinished material and finished material.Now my company has decided to not to sale the semifinished material.So there is no sense in keeping the sales view in material master of semifinished material.So we want to remove the sales view from the material master of semifinished material.
     So could you guys help me out to do this?

From the config for Material type attributes you can change the views relevant to Material type means you can unselect the sales views - that will definately take care of the new materials that will be created. But for the existing one's and the data is something you need to see and investigate
I would advice you to check all the aspects in dev client and then take a decision.

Under List - Operations we dont have the material number in standard layout Alternatively you can check for list-<b>Object Overview</b> report,which will give a overall report which includes - header details,operation details,component details.you can change the layout as per your requirement

5 material groups in sales view

Hi Gurus,
There are 5 material grousp in sales veiw 2 in material. Please guide how to activate them as they are not apperaing and also ther view is not visible in sales data 2. I have defined them in customizing but even then they are not visible.

As I understood from your question, You have maintained master data for those 5 material groups in configuration. But to add them to relevant material master you cannot see those 5 fields in the MM01/MM02 screen.
So I hope you have defined your material groups in below IMG Path.
Logistics - General / MateriaI Master / Settings for Key Fields / Data Relevant to Sales and Distribution / Define MateriaI Groups
So now let's see how to enable those fields for material master. It depends on the Material Type.
- First get the field Technical name by press F1 in the material master field
then
- Go to SPRO/ Logistics - General/ Material Master/ Assign Fields to Field Selection Groups
- Click on Field Name button
- Paste that copied Field Technical Name there & press Enter
- Highlight the Line & press Arrow button
- Select the Material Type (Eg: u201CFERTu201D) Using Position option from the grid
- If "Hide" is selected, then select, "Opt. Entry"
- Save
- Now come back to material master by calling MM02 again and check. You should be able to select those material groups there.

Material number getting changed in Sales order

Hi friends,
while creating sales order, When I enter some material number,
at line item it is getting changed into some other number.
Do you have any idea why this is happening?.
Eg: I entered material number as 3660 and it is getting changed to 50231960 .

there are several reasons that will make this change.
one possibility could be Customer Material Info Record.
Go to VD53 and enter your customer number that you used to create a sales order and also the sales org and disribution channel of that customer and the material number 3660. then check whether it has assigned to the material 50231960
Other possibility could be automatic material determination is active which automatically replaces the material if not available.

go to Spro->logistics general ->materials management-> there you select the options of material feilds and select the material type and click on till you reach the sales orgn 2 view , .
In MMR settigs you can see table wise so i think it should me MARA table. for sales orgn 2 view
There you check the feilds wat you want is in display or supress mode

Avoid duplication of material number in Sales Order.

Hi all
I want to restrict the user for entering the duplicate Material number while creation of Sales Order . I have done the changes in Program MV45AFZZ IN FORM USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE, but was able give warning message for duplicate material no.
If I set these message to error , the user has to come out of the sales order ,as it doesnot even allow to save.
Can any body guide for proper steps to follow to avoid the duplication of the material while creating the Sales Order

If your ABAPer has written the User Exit, then he can as well do what you want. Ask him to do it, it should be a small code.

Interactive ALV to report to get into Material Master Sales View

Hi,
I want to know way to get into Material master Sales view from an Interactive ALV report.
In the output we have (custom report for Sales) the Sales Order item information. If the user double clicks on the material, it should directly goes to the Material Master Sales org 1 view. I can able to get to MM03 initial screen to display the list of views, but it would be better we can use the Plant, Sales Org and plant info from Sales Item to get into the material master Sales view.
I checked that this functionality is there in the standard code. If you double click on the material in Purchase order display(ME23N) from the item level, it is directly getting into Material Master Purchasing view. Is there a way to achieve this.
Your suggestions would be appreciated with points. Thanks!

Yes, it's possible using the CALL TRANSACTION command with the addition AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN. The only thing that you need is to fill the fields from the first screen (SET PARAMETER command).
DATA: carrid TYPE spfli-carrid,
connid TYPE spfli-connid.
SET PARAMETER ID: 'CAR' FIELD carrid,
'CON' FIELD connid.
CALL TRANSACTION 'FLIGHT_TA' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.

Vendor return via delivery, material sales view needed?

We wish to retur material to vendor via Delivery process Return PO --> Delivery --> Goods issue
We ticketed 'Return to Vendor' checkbox, we created ship-to customer and saved Vendor
now my question is Do we need create material master sales view??
Ideally since thse will be purchase materials will not have sales view

Yes,you need to extend material master(using MM01)
for sales view i.e,sales orgn1,sales orgn2,sales:general plant data.
