Add segment in an infotype

Hi,
I created an idoc based on idoc HRSM_D01, and I want to insert a new segment as a child segment type of the root (ZHRSMD01) but I can't do it. It only allows me to insert below the existing segments.
Can you help me?

Actually the above segments are parent segments under HRSM_D01. It wont allow u to enter another segment as same as parent segment.
So u have to add it under the related parent segment.

Add segments to an idoc already in the database?

Hi All,
I have a requirement to add segments to idocs that are already in the database. I had hoped to use Function Group EDI1 to do so, but the FM EDI_SEGMENTS_ADD_BLOCK only works for creating idocs from scratch. There is a FM EDI_CHANGE_DATA_SEGMENTS, but it appears to only allow changing segments that already exist, not adding new segments.
How would you handle this one? This is the first time I've been tasked with adding segments to an idoc OUTSIDE of a user exit during create, and I'm unsure how to proceed.

EDI interface: Add block of data records
Each call of the function module 'EDI_SEGMENTS_ADD_BLOCK' inserts a block of data records into the IDoc. In each case the EDI interface records the current position in the IDoc and appends the block of records at the end.
The data records are transferred to the function module in an internal table. This table is NOT initialized in the function module, that is, the parent program must carry out an initialization (REFRESH) during a repeated call.
Application data is transferred to the data record. The data record consists of a general administration part and of the field 'SDATA', which contains the application data.
The administration part contains information that describes the data record in the context of the Intermediate Document (for example, the IDoc number).
The fields 'SEGNAM' and 'HLEVEL' must be filled by the parent program.
The fields 'SEGNUM' and 'PSGNUM' can be filled by the function module or can be transfered during the function module call. They are checked for consistency in this case.
With the help of an ABAP/4 Dictionary structure, the field 'SDATA' can be split up and interpreted. The documentation for these structures can be found using the program 'RSEIDOC1'.
The function module can only be called in 'CREATE' mode.

To add new fields go to PM01 and select Enhance Infotype option and then follow the steps in sequence.
I am not getting blank space in front of the field. please elaborate it.

Add segment to outbound Idoc for Sales order

HI experts,
I need to add segment E1EDP02 under Existing segment E1EDP01 for outbound IDOC for Sales order. FM" IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP".
I have used the Exit : "EXIT_SAPLVEDC_003" for the FM "IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP" in the include of the Exit i wrote my code also for adding segment and activate it.
But when i am trying to debug the code it's not working
So please guide me how to debug it
I have followed below steps to Debug.
1. In VA02 i have repeat the output.
2. Put the breakpoint in the Exit include program .
3. put the Breakpoint in ALE processing Routine in RSNASTED program also
4. Trigger the program RSNAST00 by giving the Parameter value of SALES ORDER number and execute.
But not working
And i need to know whether i have used the Correct EXIT or not.In that case how to identify the correct exit's

How to add fields in custom infotype and update its screens

I want to enhance a custom infotype ( Add some new fields, and add special function on its screen). This custom infotype is created in previous release. is there any way to add fields in infotype? and let system automatcailly modify corresponding screens to add new fields

Go to Transaction PM01.
2) Enter the custom Infotype number which you want to create (Should be a 4 digit number, start with 9).
3) Select the u2018Employee Infotypeu2019 radio button.
4) Select the u2018PS Structure Infotypeu2019.
5) Click on Createu2026 A separate table maintenance window appearsu2026
6) Create a PS structure with all the fields you want on the Infotype
7) Save and Activate the PS structure
8) Go back to the initial screen of PM01.

How to Add data in HR infotype 2011 through ABAP

Hi All,
Can any one please give me an idea about how to insert time record in Infotype 2011 through ABAP. I cannot use the front end recording (SHDB) as it locks the person's master data. I need to Add the record through ABAP Query. I have inserted record in Table TEven and it works fine but then there is a conflict of sequence number field and system does not allow to change the data in infotype 2011 and gives error message.

How do I add Segments of Time in Numbers '09?

I am trying to wean myself off of Microsoft... so I'm trying to set up a TV Show Rundown sheet in Numbers. I can do it easily in Excel but can't figure it out in Numbers. Help....
After a Description Column, I have two columns displaying Time. The Left Column shows the length of the specific segment and the Right Column shows when it begins within the total Elapsed Time. For example:

On Camera 1     0:01:30    0:01:20
So the 1st element is 15 seconds long, and it starts at 0:00:00 on the clock
The 2nd element is 45 seconds long, and it starts at 0:00:15 on the clock
The 3rd element is 20 seconds long, and it starts at 0:01:00... one minute in
Th 4th element is 90 seconds long, and it starts at 0:01:20...
And so on. In Excel, I would set up the two columns with the right display but enter the data as clock time. So the 1st element is 15 seconds long, but if you double click on the cell, you would see it as 12:00:15 AM but when you released the cell it read as 0:00:15. In Excel, I could just set up a simple formula where it added those 2 cells in the row above it. It returned a running time, and I could just keep entering segment times. I could time out elements for a 30 second spot or a 60 minute show. I also use it to time the songs in any given set of music my band plays. A very simple way to add up discreet moments of time passing.
If I'm reading Numbers correctly... which I may not be doing... it doesn't seem to want to add up two time entries. But then I read Duration is perfect for adding Time. But beyond formating the cells as Duration, I'm just not seeing the next step. Plus if I enter in any number like "2", the display says 2h 0m 0s.
Can someone show me the right direction to go? Thanks in advance for any tips...

"I used to enter in a lot of Time Code into Word. I would use the numeric keyboard and some third party software that changed the key strokes. In Word, I would change "Opt ." in the numeric keyboard to ":". And "Shift ." would type as ";". I could very quickly enter in numbers like14:23:18;00 just on the numeric keyboard."

To replace one or more characters with one or more different characters, select
“Symbol and text substitution.” Then use the rows in the table to define and activate
specific substitutions. For example, when you type (c), you can have Numbers
automatically convert it to © by putting a checkmark in the On column. To add a row
to the table to define your own substitution, click the Add button. To remove a
selected item, click the Delete (–) button.
After you specify substitution settings, they’ll apply to any text you change or add in
any Numbers spreadsheet.

I have add the infotype 0022 using the steps of the following
Adding any Info Type IN ESS in EHP5/6 through WebDynpro Configuration
However the system not show the button of Add new register for this Infotype, only show register created

Add segment to inbound idoc problem

I want to insert a segment in the middle of the segements inside a inbound idoc processing module.The problem is
i am able to pass the segmnet name and data but i don't now what should be populated to the segment number (SEGNUM). Its value is coming as the same value of the previous segment when i checked in debugging mode.Can any body tell me how to populate the segnum field.

Idoc enhancement with ABAP

Hi all,
we are currently in a project to implement SAP HR as HR master and distribute HR master data to other legacy systems using SAP XI.
There will be two different interfaces from SAP HR to XI, one for real-time updates of changes (delta) and one for batch updates of complete records. We use SAP R/3 4.7 ext2 and want to use Idoc type HRMD_A06 which contains all HR data (we will have to add segments for two infotypes, but that is not the problem).
The problem is that there is some information we need to distribute that not automatically gets included in this Idoc type (such as SAP personell number for manager of the org.unit an employee belongs to). My guess is that this has to be filled using some custom ABAP.
Does anyone have any experience with adding such information to an Idoc? We can always find a suitable field in the Idoc to store the values if we only can retrieve the correct information.
And secondly, how do we make sure this extra information is stored for the correct employee segment in the Idoc?
Finally, can we implement this function module so that it runs after the general Idoc is created, runs through the entire IDoc and adds the correct information for each employee segment, and then send the finished IDoc to XI? This goes for both real-time interface (implemented using change-pointers) and batch interface (scheduled job to collect master data).
Any information or experience on this matter will be highly appreciated. Any other suggestions to how this problems can be solved are also welcome.

Sorry for the misleading information abt the user exit at the first place.
For batch process,
1. Run PFAL transaction.
2. Follow the same process to determine the manager in user exit EXIT_SAPLRHAL_003. set the parameter flag as 'X'. Also export the parameter 'Flag' to memory id in the user exit after the process.perform the logic to determine manager pernr only if infotype 0001 is filled.
3. Second user exit EXIT_SAPLRHA0_001 will follow the previous exit. Import the parameter from memory id. if flag eq X. no process.
4. Manager pernr will be passed.
For change-pointer process,
only 1001 information should be triggered by change-pointers.
1.)run rbdmidoc to trigger change-pointers for hrmd_a.
2.)user exit EXIT_SAPLRHAL_003 will be executed internally in the first step. should not perform manager logic as no 0001 infotype filled. It means parameter FLAG is blank.
3). in the user exit EXIT_SAPLRHA0_001 , perform manager logic for change-pointers only if flag eq space.
following logic should be followed :
a.) IDOC_DATA fill contains the 1001 records.
b.) loop at idoc_data.
 read each record and determine 0001 infotype for all employees with new manager(as described in my first reply). append the 0001 records into idoc_data_temp.
c.) process each record by record in idoc_data.
d.) after the endloop. move all the records from idoc_data_temp to idoc_data.
now idoc_data will contain only 0001 records no 1001 records.
e.) again loop at idoc_data, perform manager pernr logic.
The change-pointer process is just overriding the standard process and manipulating custom records.
this is the one way of achieving the solution.
The other solution to achieve change-pointers is to perform lot of customization.
1.) create a custom program to read the change-pointers from bdcpv table to read the unprocessed records for message type hrmd_a.
2.)create infotype 0001 records from 1001 data.
3.) also perform manager pernr logic for 0001 records as we are not calling standard transaction(master_idoc_create_smd_hrmd).
4.) follow the logic in the sample program to create idocs.

step 1 ) Define idoc extension for HRMD_A01 using WE30 transaction and define it in partner profiles
step 2) do i need to write some code in BADI also to update information for my custom infotype also if yes then where and which BADI pls let me know ? because already am working on one badi HRALE00INBOUND_IDOC for few validation for incoming data.
step 3 ) add this new custom infotype in my standard ALE filters.
Pls let me know if am mistaking some where or if i have to do some thing else ?

File to IDoc scenario( Bypass)-- Error ( Segment is missing) -- urgent pls.

I am doing File to IDoc scenario( Bypass) for Orders05.
File is picking succesfully and not posting the idoc in the SAP..
My source file(idoc-xml) consists of all the required data to post the idoc including the segment 'E1EDK01'.
but the error it is showing is " Obligatory node 'E1EDK01' missing in the structure ORDERS05 "
Please suggest me ASAP what is going wrong .

The source File is not the idoc XML. It is invalid. You might need to ask the source to change the XML or use a Mapping to do this.
