Add signature

Hello,
How to add Signature to the post? Or do we need to add manually every time?
I have not seen such option in My control panel/settings.
Thanks.

Heck, I can know more about you from 1993 than from seeing your posts here...There's a difference between a sig and a tagline.
Stopped using sigs quite early. Back then it was also discouraged as it only add useless bytes to transfers over 9600 BAUD modems.
Was very fond of the latter. Use RoboMail to read mail forums offline (the days of Sparky and QWK) and had a sizeable tagline database in my mail reader. And sometimes, a worthwhile response was simply an empty mail with a tagline. :-)

  • Add signature to photos

    Hi,
    How add signature to photos in Aperture ?
    I had a picture file to make a watermark. But my background is white.
    Do possible to create a watermark with Text not picture ?
    Thanks

    The signature you are talking about is called (in English, in the User Manual) a "watermark".  Search the User Manual and this forum for instructions on making and using them.
    Your need is for a watermark file with a transparent layer.  JPG does not allow transparency, so you'll have to convert your picture file to PNG.  The easiest way to do this is to open it in the OS X program Preview and:
    Show the Toolbar ("View➞Show Edit Toolbar")
    Select the Instant Alpha tool (click the "magic wand" icon on the Toolbar)
    Click and drag a short distance in the white background
    Press and release the "delete" key
    Say "Yes" to "Convert to PNG"
    Save your file.
    Then use this file for your watermark in Aperture.
    The superb plug-in BorderFX does this automatically, and much more.  Recommended.  It's free, but it you use it, consider sending the developer some beer money.

  • How do you add signature block to images

    I am switching from a PC platform to Mac and from Adobe to Aperture 3.   In Adobe is it easy to add a Signature to a image file for (c) however I cannot seem to find the magic in Aperture to do this.   I have found that a lot of things are so simple on the Mac platform that I may be missing something simple.  Thanks

    Vern, I'm guessing your desire to add a signature to a photo is actually a watermark? If so that is definately possibly. Unfortunately this is not as easy as it could be and I'm hopeful that Apple gets this feature updated at some point. Sooner rather than later would be nice. However, you can find out how you can accomplish this by going to the help tab in Aperture and type in Watermark. The toughest part of making this happen is that you have to have access to Photoshop or possible other programs that you can create a PNG file in. The PNG file is a graphic file that you make to add to each photo on export. This graphic file can be text or something graphic like a logo. The one I use is text based and looks like this: © 2011 Daniel J. Cox/NaturalExposures.com. This text was created in Photoshop and saved as a PNG file with a transparent background. All of this sounds fairly complicated which it is but it can be done. If you don't have Photoshop maybe someone else can offer advise on how to create a PNG without Photoshop. Once you get a PNG created then there is an option in the export window that lets you add the watermark. The tough p[art is getting the PNG.
    I moved to Aperture from Lightroom myself and I've been mostly happy but creating watermarks in Aperture is not nearly as easy as it is in Lightroom. Hope this helps. You can see samples of the watermark on images in an Aperture web page at http://www.naturalexposures.com/private/gallery/resplendentquetzal/large-4.html

  • Can't add signature or change signatures in Mail

    I hadn't changed signatures in a very long time so I don't know when this started but...
    I tried to add a signature and it will not show up in the pop-up menu in the New Message "signature" menu.
    Also I can not edit previously created signatures.
    I realize that trashing my mail preference file may correct this but it will, I assume, delete all of my signatures and probably reset many other things.
    Any ideas on how I can fix this with the minimum amount of rebuilding of preferences?
    Thanks.
    RonL

    How did you fix it? I expierience the same problem on my old Panther (10.3.9). Whenever I open my 'mail preferences'window, the only tab I can see and change is 'Accounts'. The tabs 'General, RSS, Fonts&Colors, Viewing, Composing, Signatures and Rules' all disappeared.

  • Add signature image to pdf preview

    I have a medical practice where pdf's are created in a browser window to preview. I'm looking for a way to add an image of my signature to the pdf prior to printing.
    Currently I have to download to desktop and open with Preview (mac) or Foxit (pc) - add the signature; then print or fax or email.
    Is there a workaround or add on that will help?

    Firefox's PDF viewer and the Adobe Acrobat plugin are "read only" and you can't modify the PDF using either one. (In Adobe's you can fill in form fields if the creator of the PDF allowed that.) I don't know about Foxit, but it also might be "read only" in the browser.
    I've never heard of a plugin that lets you edit a PDF in the browser, perhaps because it would be difficult to save the results? But you might search around for one, maybe it's out there.

  • Add Signature to E-Mails Sent from Preview

    When I e-mail a document from Preview my signature is not automatically added to the e-mail. I can add it quickly from the signatures on the right, but I am running a small business and don't want the risk of forgetting to add it.
    Mail automatically adds the signature to new messages and to replies, it just doesn't add it from an e-mail created in Preview.
    To duplicate: open an image or PDF in Preview. Click on File --> Mail Image. A new mail message is created with the document attached, but the new e-mail does not automatically include my signature.
    I am using OS X 10.5.8, Mail 3.6 (936), and Preview 4.2 (469.5).

    Yes, same here, but the funny thing is that it tries to add it, (can tell because if the signature has external links, then Little Snitch will ask if Mail can connect to it just like composing a new one that does display it), but the signature drop down always says None & it doesn't display.
    Copying the text of the PDF in Preview & using Services>Mail>Sand Selection does add the signature, but of course no PDF layout, just the text.
    Only workaround I found is lots more work... Open PDF in Acrobat or Reader, File>Attach to Mail... new window opens without sig, Select All of the body, copy, close mail, CMD+n for a New mail, click in body, paste, sig is there.
    I don't expect that to be a workable solution.

  • Add signature to an iPhoto?

    Is there an easy way to add your signature to an iPhoto? How about a border w/a signature, is this possible? I've tried & tried but can't figure it out.
    Thank you.

    It can be done in Aperture or with an app like these
    Impression
    iWatermark
    BorderFX - a free plug-in. (http://www.iborderfx.com/iborderfx/)
    There are others. Search on Macupdate or the App Store

  • Add signature to Mail?

    I was browsing the list of new features in Yosemite (https://www.apple.com/osx/all-features/) and came across this:
    "Add signatureEasily add your own signature to an image or PDF form, right in Mail. Use the trackpad to draw your signature or capture it using the camera on your Mac. Save your signature to use later with Markup or when filling out forms in Preview."
    It sounds great, but in the help file for OS X Mail, it says nothing about how to create a signature in this way.  How do I create a handwritten signature for use in Mail?
    (Apologies for posting in the OS X Mavericks community... for some reason neither OS X Mail nor OS X Yosemite show up in the "Browse Communities" field in the form.)
    (Apologies for not deleting this post after I found a way to post in the Yosemite community... I couldn't find a way to delete posts either  - this really is the most unstable Internet forum I've encountered :-(  )

    Hi Ramana,
    When you go to preferences, you will not be given the option "Preferences"
    Your Preferences should be choices: General, Appearance, Bookmarks, Tabs, etc.
    If by some chance you do not see any of those options, click on the oblong button at the far upper right. That should drop down those options.
    If this doesn't work, post back.
    Good Luck,
    John

  • SOAP Add Signature to outgoing email

    I have a working app that retrieves AddressBook/Contacts, properly sets up and sends email with attachments.
    Now I am trying to add the default signature to the outgoing message.
    I can successfully get the user's signatures and find the default signature, but I cannot figure out how to add it to the email. I have tried making a message part and adding that to the body with no success. I have read the javadocs, searched the sample code and read everything I can find about signatures in the forums, but I cannot make it work. Any help?
    Here's how I am getting the signature, if that helps:
    Holder<Signatures> signatures = new Holder<Signatures>();
    gwPort.getSignaturesRequest(true, signatures, status);
    if(status.value.getCode() != 0) {
    isError = true;
    errorMsg = status.value.getDescription();
    }else {
    Signatures usersigs = signatures.value;
    List<Signature> mySignatures = usersigs.getSignature();
    Signature mySignature = null;
    for(int x = 0; x < mySignatures.size(); x++){
    if(mySignatures.get(x).isDefault()){
    mySignature = mySignatures.get(x);
    if(mySignature != null){

    You have to read the signature and add it to you message body
    programmatically. There is no way to do it automatically.
    Is that what you are asking?
    Are you saying appending the signature to the message body is
    not working?
