How to add standard text in PO and how it is maintained ?
How to add standard text (paragraph) in PO and how it is maintained ?
Hi
Please go through this document.which has a step by step
Working with Frequently Used Texts
Use
You can copy texts from various sources to create PO texts:
Standard texts
Certain standard texts are supplied with the system and can be assigned to a purchasing document in Customizing.
The content of some standard texts is predefined by your system administrator.
You can also create standard texts yourself and copy them into purchasing documents.
Master records
Database fields
Activities
Creating Standard Texts
You can create your own standard texts via Tools ® SAPscript ® Standard text.
Inserting Standard Texts
You can insert your standard text on the long text screen via Insert ® Text ® Standard.
For more information, refer to the Basis documentation under BC Word Processing with the SAPscript Editor: Including Texts.
You can display the print preview via Text ® Print ® Print preview.
Inserting Texts from the Master Record
There are three ways of linking texts from a master record with a purchasing document. The relevant settings are made for each text type in Customizing for Purchasing. The indicator in the status column shows the nature of the linkage.
Option Indicator in status column
The text is copied:
It is then independent of the text None
in the master record. Changes to
the text in the material master record
have no influence on the text in the document.
The text is displayed only:
It cannot be adopted. N
The text is offered for copying:
It can be copied via Header or Item ® Texts ® Adopt text. (In requisitions: Goto ® Texts ® Adopt text.) Changes made in the master record will also be adopted in the document until such time as you copy the text.
Inserting Texts from Database Fields
You can include the content of a database field at any point in the text on the long text screen. A value specific to the relevant document is displayed in the printed document.
Choose Insert ® Symbols ® Program symbols.
Choose DDIC fields.
Search for the relevant table/structure (in the case of PO items, this is EKPO) and then choose ENTER .
Choose the relevant table field.
Choose Text ® Print preview to see the print preview.
Reward if useful

Add Default standard text to notification on creation
Hi ABAP experts,
Is it possible to automatically add standard text when the notification created.
Currently we are asking users to manually add the standard text which is wast of effort for every notification.
I am not abaper. Could you please provide coding details. We have multiple company code/Planning/maintenance plant. Based on the company code from functional location, i want a specific standard text to be automatically populated in the notification long text. It should happen upon population of functional location.
Thanks
PanneerHi,
I was under the impression that the text is FIXED based on some notification data,
The idea was to define relationship between SO10 text and "company code/Planning/maintenance plant" .
It was an idea.....

SO10 - Add Fields in the Standard PAMA Text
Dear All,
Scenario:
When an Employee is hired a mail is sent to the Manager with the new employee details.
I have maintained a dynamic action for the same and the std text to be sent is maintained under the PAMA (Text ID) in SO10.
Query :
The text which is sent to the manger should consists of the following fileds :
1.) Per Number (P0000 - PERNR)
2.) Joining Date (P0000 - BEGDA)
3.) Per Area (PSPAR - WERKS)
4.) Position (PSPAR - PLANS)
Can any any one pls help me, how to insert these fields into the Standard Text.
Thanks in Advance
Regards,
AbhishekHi Revathi,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
I have already seen the SAP Std text which you have mentioned i.e, "MAIL_FOR_I0001_A"
But when you see that message all the varibales like (&P0001-PERNR&, &P0001-ENAME&, etc etc) are not in the normal font they are highlighted, and when i write a code with respect to my requirements it is not highligted and the message is shown without the field values in the mail.
My Question was how to insert those variables into the template.
I hope you can now easily answer my question.
Regards,
Abhishek -

This is enhancement project and some one develops long back.
Regarding point (b) You should be using the java.net.URLEncoder to encode URL parameters, not a base64 encoder.
DocumentSummarizerClient.java I am using base64
Ex:
// String encoded =new String (summaryInputData.getBytes("ISO-8859-1"),"UTF-8");
String encoded=Base64Utils.base64Encode(summaryInputData.getBytes());
// encoded =new String (summaryInputData.getBytes("ISO-8859-1"),"UTF-8");
String parameters= "base64String="+encoded+"&noOfWordsOrPercentage="+noOfWordsOrPercentage;
summarizedData= postRequest(parameters,summarizerURL);
String slength= "<string xmlns=\"http://tempuri.org/\">";
if(summarizedData.contains("</string>")){
summarizedData= summarizedData.substring(summarizedData.indexOf(slength)+slength.length(),summarizedData.indexOf("</string>"));
summarizedData = replaceVal(summarizedData);
//System.out.println("<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-8\"?><![CDATA["+summarizedData+"]]>");
System.out.println("Summarized data "+summarizedData);
if(summarizedData.contains("Please enter the percentage")){
summarizedData="Data given cannot be summarized further";
Above specific please I need to modify to resolve above issue.
Could you please suggest me what changes I need to do.
Waiting for positive response. -
Track Changes log of a specified Standard Text?
Hello Experts,
Am looking to develop a report (change log report) for standard texts, for example, (pls. note all input parameters of this standard text are same)
Yesterday the user entered the standard text as
This is yesterdays standard text
And again user has changed today it to
This is todays standard text
Pls. let me know that is there any standard transaction to track these changes log? is there any table (seems STXH, STXL are not helps me) to store these changes? how can i retrive all these changes for a specified stanrd text?
Thank youHi M_S_Raju_0613,
I never heard of a tracking feature for standard texts - standard sapscript texts must be an add on SAP took from any non-SAP development and never integrated well. So you have to change documents for them or the pool tables where they are stored.
If only some texts and only special changes are in question, you may create a special program that stores a copy of the text and compares the copy to the actual text in a recurring job.
No better idea, sorry.

You can create a text module like you do for Smartforms and then you can add that in the interface and drag n drop it in the layout.

How can I add a new message(custom text message) to the holiday approval em
How can I add a new message(custom text message) to the holiday approval email-notification sent to the manager?
TIAThe answer is 'not very easily', unless the information you want to display is the employee's leave balances. In 12.1.3 Oracle have delivered functionality that allows you to include the leave balances in the approval notifications out-the-box, ie, without customization.
For any other information you're probably going to have to customize the standard delivered HRSSA workflow. Within this workflow, the Leave of Absence functionality uses the Notify Approver (Embedded) (HR_APPROVER_NTF) notification. The body of this notification is set to the Notify Approver (Embedded) (HR_NTF_EMBEDDED_REGION) attribute. This in turn defaults to:
JSP:/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?OAFunc=-&HR_EMBEDDED_REGION-&NtfId=-&#NID-
So essentially you can change the HR_APPROVER_NTF notification. The problem with changing this notification is that it's generic - it's used for all SSHR functions and not just Leave of Absence. That means you have to make other, more substantial, customizations to the workflow to ensure the changes you make only applies to LOA.
The other option is to personalize the review page (ie, the region referenced in &HR_EMBEDDED_REGION) to include whatever messages you want. But that means they'll appear on the Review page and all LOA approval notifications and that might not be what you want.
It's usually better to live with what Oracle deliver and find an alternative solution! What's the content of the message you want to include?
