Add STEXT of object U in the result of search help PREM
Hi All,
At a customer (4.7 system) we would like to add a field "company" in the result of the search help PREM in pa30:
This field "company" is the long text of object U. And object U is linked to object P.
The problem is that I am not able to define join conditions in the selection method (ZM_PREMN) of the elementary search help (PREMN) to get the column "company" filled. Not possible to link HRP1001, PA0002, and HRP1000 to get stext of the correct object in the field company.
I tried to define a user-exit for the search help, but the problem is that at the place where HRMC_PREM_EXIT_A is called I have not even the pernr's. (To be able to retrace the U's (company's) that are linked with the P's.)
Does anyone already solved this kind of problems? Does anyone has the knowledge of BADI's for searchhelps?
Or does anyone has knowledge of the place where we could repair it?
Any help would be appreciated!

I'm trying to add a distribution point via Powershell. Thanks to the Add-cmdistributionpoint it should be pretty easy. The SCCM-server sccmserver1 is the main siteserver, sccmsiteserver2 is a Windows 2012 server on which all prereqs are installed and on
which sccmsiteserver1 is member of local administrators.
However, I get the error below "No object corresponds to the specified parameter".
I assume the computer account of sccmsiteserver1 is used by default (couldn't trigger this error anyhow) and the parameter -sitesystemservername is not the main siteserver but the new distribution point.

What worries me is that the output of the query is 0 "VERBOSE: Query returned 0 results."
So that means everything is working but there is actually no result to the query. Not sure why though.

this topic is still a problem for me, does anybody have an idea.
Just to show what's my problem:
Collective Search help KRED does include a SAP append-search help ASH_KRED which holds the elementary search helps KREDC, KREDE, KREDM, KREDW.
The search helps KREDE, KREDM, KREDW should not be displayed, so I added another Serach-Help-Append ZKRED_CUST at the end of CSH KRED which holds these 3 SH's with the hidden flag.
That works, the SH's are not shown anymore.
I also added some other of the Original SAP SH's (e.g. KREDA) with the hidden flag and added changed copies of these (e.g ZKREDA) there to be shown instead.
All this can be done modification free by appends.
The folders of the elementary search helps are shown in the order as they are found included in the KRED SH and the append to this SH.
This means that the not hidden Sh KREDC from ASH_KRED is shown before all the "custimized" ZKREDx -SH's. But we need this SH not very often, so that I want it to displayed al the right-most position of the folders of SH's or at the most down postition of the drop-down-selection of SH's.
But I have not found any way to do this modification free.
The only way to archive this is to modify ASH_KRED by setting the Hidden-Flag for KREDC and add this SH at the end of append-SH ZKRED_CUST again.
But I want avoid this modification.
So, is there any way to do this without modifing any of the original SAP SH's ?

Lock objects are use in SAP to avoid the inconsistancy at the time of data is being insert/change into database.
SAP Provide three type of Lock objects.
- Read Lock(Shared Locked)
protects read access to an object. The read lock allows other transactions read access but not write access to
the locked area of the table
- Write Lock(exclusive lock)
protects write access to an object. The write lock allows other transactions neither read nor write access to
the locked area of the table.
- Enhanced write lock (exclusive lock without cumulating)
works like a write lock except that the enhanced write lock also protects from further accesses from the
same transaction.
You can create a lock on a object of SAP thorugh transaction SE11 and enter any meaningful name start with EZ Example EZTEST_LOCK.
Use: you can see in almost all transaction when you are open an object in Change mode SAP could not allow to any other user to open the same object in change mode.
Example: in HR when we are enter a personal number in master data maintainance screen SAP can't allow to any other user to use same personal number for changes.
Technicaly:
When you create a lock object System automatically creat two function module.
1. ENQUEUE_<Lockobject name>. to insert the object in a queue.
2. DEQUEUE_<Lockobject name>. To remove the object is being queued through above FM.
You have to use these function module in your program.

Match code objects are same as Search helps, where they are used in Previous versions of SAP.
Now in the newer versions Search helps are replaced them.
Standard Texts are the texts which are maintained in SO10 Tcode
Every SAP application document is maintained with HEADER and ITEM texts
and these texts are fetched from SAP using the READ_TEXT Function module
by passing TEXT ID, TEXTNAME,TEXTOBJECT and LANGUAGE fields
You can double click on any long text in the systesm and you can see these paramters in the text editor.
Text Modules are created and used in Smartforms.

Restricting the Value of Search help in MIRO based on vendor
Dear all,
I had a problem in resticting the values of search help for vendor in the Po reference tab. the Seach help is KRED . I had written a search help exit in it but i dont know how to restrict the vaues. I have to restict the Vendors Which starts with 1 series like 10000001,1000002 etc.
Can any one help me out where to write the code in search help exit like CALLCONTROL-STEP = 'SELONE' or 'SELECT' or 'DISP' and what logic i need to use.

Arson is a cli AUR searcher and downloader, written in Ruby. It allows you to search the AUR for a package you want, and download it. It does NOT automatically install the downloaded package. It can extract it, but not install. Searching for a package also searches through pacman's db cache (rather than going to each mirror and querying those).

How to display additional fields in the results a 'search user'?
This may be a newb question but how can I display additional user attributes in the results of a user search in the admin console?
i.e. more than just the standard fields of: User ID, First Name, Last Name, Status, Enable, Disable, Unlock and Delete.
I would like to include some UDFs that I have defined for the create user form e.g. personnel number.

BernieThats not gonna work for sure. Thats to include additional attributes in the search input parameters drop-down. There is another procedure to do that, but not very sure if it works or not because once I was decompiling the code and found that it doesn't have an implementation. You can anyway try it out, the worst would be that you would not be able to see the column headings, but try atleast:
And thats through the use of properties file. Open up ** and search for the following section-

How to limit results in search help CV01 (incl. COM_SE_F4_HELP_EXIT)
Hi experts,
in transaction CV03N I want to limit the result list (table RECORD_TAB) of the search help CV01 using authority check. The user should not even see the document shorttext (from table DRAT) of some TOP SECRET documents in the F4-help result ... Actual solution: no user has rights for CV03N ... :-P
I found out, that the search help for the dynpro field DRAW-DOKNR is CV01,
including following search helps:

Also there is a search help exit (function modul) COM_SE_F4_HELP_EXIT for CV01.
I tried to enhance the search help exit using the prepared BADI COM_SE_F4_RESULT_ITEMS, but after i did a short test with the relevant method, i found that there is something not working as i expected ...
Problem:
in the function modul COM_SE_F4_HELP_EXIT there is a step prepared called STEP SELECT.
* STEP SELECT (Select values)
* This step may be used to overtake the data selection completely.
* To skip the standard seletion, you should return 'DISP' as following
* step in CALLCONTROL-STEP.
* Normally RECORD_TAB should be filled after this step.
* Standard function module F4UT_RESULTS_MAP may be very helpfull in this

Dynamically passing the values to search help

can I pass some values dynamically to search help input field.
If I select a profit centre value from a drop down in separate field it should reflect the corresponding values in
search help which is cost centre input field ( i/p fields is in a column of a UI element table).
If I add one more row also the corresponding column should bears the search help...

Be aware that import and export parameters for the search help are determined only within the same context node (see also Transport of Values for the Input Help), and even then only if a Dictionary structure is assigned to the node.

I have copied F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE and made changes. I want this search help exit to populate and display contents related to 'FIELD1' when the user enters a specific value for it in the search help screen, meaning when the user restricts the search by that value. For field2, field3, field4, field5, field6, field7, and field8 I am using a custom view.

How to get results of search help window?
Hi, experts,
I have a question here.
For a field vendor id there is pre-defined search help, with which the detailed information of vendor inclusive the vendor id will be returned. But it will only fill this vendor id field. other information in the result like vendor name will be lost. I still need this information for other fields. And I hope to get other fields filled with the info in the results.
How can I get the complete info in the result delivered by search help window?

2 = shipment start date(VTTK-DPTBG)
3 = shipment end date(VTTK-DPTEN)
and 1 should be default one.
then accordingly the date range will be entered by the user and so on.
can anybody give the solution for this.

JUST OPEN SE11===>tick the DOMAIN radiobutton ==>enter the name of the domain of ur field ===> after that click on VALUE RANGE tab===> give 1, 2 3 etc values in FIX VAL. column and write the corresponding text in SHORT TEXT column ===> then save and activate
now if u press F4 on that field u will get these three values

I can't find RobForm Lite in Add-ons to install. No RoboForm results in Search.
I'm adding extensions to a new install of Firefox. When I search Add-ons for roboform 28 hits come up and none of them is RoboForm. Before, even if the add-on did not work with a specific version of Firefox, it would still come up in the search. What happened? RoboForm is a must. If I can't use RoboForm I will not use the browser. I'll have to go with chrome.
As far as I know, the RoboForm Lite add-on no longer exists.

Right click google search used to open only in a new tab. Now it opens in a new tab and after a moment, the current tab also.
