Add Supplier Part Number Special Request in SC

Hi Experts,
My req is that need to add Supllier part number (PARTNER_PROD) in SC for Special Request (Describe Requirement.)
This field is there when you select the Material from Catalog but If you go to special request (Describe Req) will not be there. This is not Custom field . The Partner number field is there in the I_ITEM structure-BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL.
Just I want add this field in special req and store into I_ITEM strucutre.
Can you anybody help me out this.....

Which SRM version are you using ?
<u>We have handled these type of requirements in our earlier SRM implementations.
As Ramki told, OSS note 672960 and 485891 are for adding custom fields on the shopping cart item level.
Since this field is not visible in Describe requirement section of the shopping cart, you need to add a custom field as this will not involve any HTML templates modification.
Incase you don't want to add a custom field then you need to make modification to HTML templates and it might become quite complex to handle this in future.
Therefore, it's recommended that you should go with adding a custom field and map the data coming from catalog values to this custom field inside the BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI to suit your requirements.

Thank you so much for your reply, which indeed helped us to a great extent.
The solution works fine for my original example of A & B material. However, we want to find every combination of lower level material used in each rolled up material. In above example, if material B is used in C, and C used in D and D used in final product E.
The suggested functional module explodes the header material as per itu2019s BoM, and follows Top-down approach, whereas we are looking forward to find a link which shows Bottom-Up approach i.e. where-used approach. In above example, we want to start from lowest level material A, then B, and C till final product E.
Since the output of functional module has various fields so we are trying to find a field which helps up to establish the bottom-up approach for multilevel BoM materials.
Any inputs will be highly appreciated.

Supplier Part number not transferred to R/3

The supplier catalog when used for a purchase order is not bringing up the supplier part number. The Supplier Part Number not transferring to the back-end .

The field name is either MFRPN or what ? check whether the field is having any data, by holding a shopping cart by ITS and then doing the debugging in SRM GUI itself.
Is that field value is available on the SRM side, once the user is shopping from Catalog in ITS side. Please confirm the same by debuuging in ITS inside the
BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI ( inside The custom Implementation you have created in your system)
and incase its available, you need to pass the data coorectly by mapping / transfer the same by transferring it to R/3 by implementing the BADI - BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK.
Let me know your views as well.

STMS: Add a great number of transport requests to the queue

Hi everybody!
we make a system copy and I have two questions regarding this.
1. After the system has been copied, we have to add a great number of transport requests to the transport queue (transaction STMS). Is there a report to to this?
2. Of course, the transport requests added to the queue have to be imported. Is it possible to mark them all at a time and then start the import? I mean, if one specific object (for instance a reportsource) is part of several transport requests, does the STMS ensure that they are imported in the correct order, so that the following won't happen: a imported object is overwritten by a older version.

As Sunny said you can do it from OS as there is no SAP program. Create a file with the all transports no. that you want to add to the buffer at the OS level. Here is the script that we use:

done
For you second question, the sequence of import into the system will be based on how they are listed in the STMS queue. So first transports goes first then the second, third and so on.

Search contract by supplying vendor or manufacture part number

Hi,
We have a requirement to keep manufacturer vendor and manufacture part
number on purchase order.
Example:
Vendor (purchasing): 1000010
Vendors (Manufacturer): AAA, BBB
Internal Material number: 71000010
Manufacturer part number: 61000001 (AAA), 61000002(BBB)
two contracts for 1000010, one with supplying vendor AAA, the other is
with BBB.
However, when trying to create a PO(ME21N), contracts can not be
searched by supplying vendors. If search by internal material number,
both contracts show up and user can't tell the difference because they
don't show manufacturer part number or supplying vendor. Pls advice.

You can search your caontract by internal number and than in the document overview you can change the layout which can show the MPN mateiral number
so based on the MPN material use rcan select the appropriate contract

my client want to be able to see the manufacturer part number already stored in the material master to appear on the request for quotation.

If you maintain MPN Material number in Source List and is available in Pur Req it will be automatically seen in RFQ.

I dont know the part number but as far as I know you need a *12.1 WXGA (1280x800) matte widescreen* .
Usually any 12.1 WXGA (1280x800) matte widescreen should be compatible with Portege R600.
But if you want you can get in contact with an local Toshiba ASP and could order such screen from the guys

Special request with backend PO

We are on SRM 5.0 using classic scenario. The system works fine according to the customizing in
SRM the source determination logic in MM. In the case of external procurement, the system is to always create a purchase requisition or, if the data is complete, a purchase order
In the classic scenario the purchase order is created on R/3 side.When we create a Backend purchase order or purchase requisition the system runs the price transfer from the contract/info record.
As for Special Request during shopping cart creation, sourcing is performed internally which a standard behaviour of the program when all needed information is available i.e., Material number, Vendor number in the shopping cart . It searches sequentially for possible source of supply and will apply that valid source in creating purchasing document when it is able to find in any of these -
>Quota arrangement --->, Sourcelist --->, Contract, ---> Inforecord. At that time, the only valid source available was the inforecord that is why the program was able to create the purchasing document in the backend using the inforecord as its reference. The PO was created in the backend since our present configuration via the customizing, for non-stock materials, it will trigger to create PO if item data is complete (able to find a source of supply) otherwise it with create a PR."
Can we prevent the use of the 'Info Record' when there is no valid contract/ source list? Our business requirement is for that a PO, with the exception of PO type ACMI, must be generated subject to a valid contract.

eventhouh the sos is selected by the user with inforecord ,please validate the sos vendor if it is a puchase inforecord by BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI throw error message like please select a contract as Source of supply not inforecord".

All programs seam to work except HWsetup. Flashcards show up when using special function keys except for the volume, the volume special function keys work to turn volume up and down but you don’t see the flash cards, and of course there is no recovery partition so the recovery media creator cannot burn recovery media.

Instructions for changeing to from Windows 8 to windows 7.
INSTRUCTIONS:
First - Burn recovery media before you make any changes! -You may want or need to go back to windows 8 later-
Update BIOS to newest bios version, the C55 and possibly other models will not support CSM boot mode with the older bios versions.
Second -
Important Bios changes when changing from Windows 8 to Windows 7:
Completely shut down laptop (Shut down Windows 8 while pressing the Shift key to completely power off.) then restart computer and hold f2 when the screen goes black and wait for the bios setup utility to launch.
Select advanced, then system configuration, then boot mode
UEFI and CSM or legacy (UEFI for Windows 8 and CSM or legacy for windows 7)
For windows 7 change to CSM or Legacy mode.
Third - Also in bios setup utility select - Security, then Secure Boot, then you have to disable secure boot for windows 7.
You will need to delete all partitions before installing windows 7 this is done forth step.
Forth - Insert your windows 7 disc and select custom install, your partitions should show up - click on each one and below you will see advanced drive options, click that and you will have options to format - format each one, then delete each one. You will be left with one raw partition, select to install and windows will do the rest while installing the operating system.
Fifth - install drivers
Installation order is important:
Install chipset driver then video driver before other drivers. Then install Toshiba Value added package before other applications

Can I use a PXI-1033I chassis (part number 779756-01) with a desktop PC via Port PCIe as well as with a notebook via ExpressCard ?

I have bought a PXI-1033I chassis (part number 779756-01) which we connect to a desktop PC via Port PCIe using a 779500-03 cable. Now we also have the requirement of using that chassis with a notebook. From NI web site we have seen that this should be possible by means of an ExpressCard.
My doubts are:
1)       Is it fully compatible PXI-1033I chassis (part number 779756-01) with an ExpressCard?
2)       If question 1) is yes, what do I need to add to my acquisition system to connect the PXI-1033 (part number 779756-01) to a notebook?. I mean, I need:
-          a ExpressCard ?
-          a new connecting cable ?
-          a new port for the chassis ?
-          a special port in the notebook ?
-          what are the minimum requirements for the notebook ?
3)       What are the part numbers I need to buy?.

You can definitely acess the shared variables in a LabVIEW Project with CVI/LabWindows. To do this you will have to use the DataSocket API. I have attached a link below that will discuss this in more detail. Look for the section on programatic acess.

RAM part number needed

I want to upgrade the RAM in my HP 2000-2d64TU. It currently has 4GB SODIMM Kingston 1600MHz RAM and I want to add another 4GB, I assume I can add another the same as what is already installed. I am having trouble finding the right part number as various RAM suppliers, including Kingston, don't list this HP notebook model. There seems to be a lot of variation and many types of RAM that have the same specs but different part numbers, so presumably are not exactly the same. I haven't installed RAM before and want to be sure I get the right type. Can anyone help?

Yes, to be able to get full benefit of dual channel, you need to use SAME specs of RAM in two slots, even same manufacturer. The above manual also shows you how to add/replace RAM.
