Add Tasks to Home Screen

I am using the BB Dimension Today theme with Messages, Calendar, Call log, and Applications on the screen. As applications are quick to reach with the application key, I would like to remove Applications from my home screen and add Tasks. Is this possible?

Hi,
I apparently have a rather large buffer today.
It took me this long to realize that the BB dimension Today screen icons cannot be reordered.
I am sorry to have misled you, unintentional as it was.

  • Duplicate Task on Home screen

I sync with our exchange server on my e71x.  The taks sync fine, but on this home screen, I see duplicated tasks..
This is strange they are not on my outlook, not in the calender screen BUT are on the home screen.
Does anyone know how to remove ??
    Scott

    Hi sbenzie,
what is the options that you have made in mfe fro tasks?
please select 'delete items on phone' in the initial sync option of Tasks tab in Mail for Exchange. (Mail for Exchange - Options - Edit Profile - Tasks)
Do revert back if you still face some issues.

  • Can't add page to Home screen because an error occurred

I finally had a moment to upgrade to 1.1.3, and everything works great, except for web clips, which is the one thing I really wanted to do! I go to a web page, click the plus sign, and choose "Add to Home Screen". It shows the icon for the page and lets me change the name. Then when I click "add", I get the following error message:
"Could not add this page to the Home screen because an error occurred."
This happens so far on any site I try it on, whether or not the site has a pre-made iPhone icon. I have already tried restoring my phone with no luck. Anyone know what's going on?

Thanks for the tips. I tried all that with no luck. I then proceeded to erase all settings. No luck there. I decided to go extreme, and delete all content and settings. Still doesn't work!
This seems like such a dumb thing, but it's still happening after two restores, clearing cache, resetting settings, and erasing all data! The only other thing I can think would be to restore the iPhone without bringing info from backup, but that would mean re-entering EVERYTHING. I'll try it I suppose, unless someone else knows a way around this.

  • N8 Problem: Cannot add shortcuts to home screen

Hi, has anyone experienced this problem before? When I try adding any shortcut to the home screen, it shows a "running circle" icon on the home screen. Looks like it's loading, but it's just like that forever. This happens to all available shortcuts and most of the widgets except for Clocks and Map Apps.
My phone is updated to the latest Belle.
    Thanks for your inputs.
    Theo.

  • How do you add a new icon to the home screen?

How do you add a new icon to the home screen?

The only new icons you can add to your home screen are webclips, which can be added by using the "+" button in safari on the desired web page.
You won't be able to add new apps until February when the SDK is fully seeded to developers.

"I also have the same problem as you. I can't find any solution to fix this. But today, when I try to add bookmark to home screen again, there should be a pop dialog "Added to home Screen". When it pop up, just immediately tap that pop up dialog. And the my home screen can show the bookmark. After that, I do not need to do this again. Seems it is fixed. I think th is really unreasonable. But it really works for me. Please let me know if this work on others of you."
Just gotta be quick to tap the "Added..." message box before it disappears.

  • Home Screen

    Hi,
today i just noticed that there are several websites such as google, yahoo, apple that will give you a custom icon when you add it to home screen, as opposed to a regular screen shot, does anyone know any other websites (than listed above) that give you the custom icon

    1) Apple needs an iPhone FAQ.
    2) Wish they had included an icon editor and/or a way to download any graphic on the web (Apple and others could've had an icon collection).
Anyway, one such list is below. Make sure you click the "Older" link at the bottom of each page to see more.

  • HOME screen icon problems

On a web page everytime i click the + button to add it to home screen, it works but now all my icons for each one i bookmark are the same. They used to be snapshots of the webpage mostly or an official icon like google etc. Now its a set of weights for the icon which is annoying as now i ave about 7 with the same icon.
    Any help would be appreciated

Here is the problem. If the web site does not have a custom made icon in the 'root' directory of their web server, the icon will look like the web page you are bookmarking.
If you want to add an iPhone/iPod touch Home screen icon for your website, create a 57x57 pixel .png image file, name it "apple-touch-icon.png" and upload it to the 'root' directory of your server.
Here is one I created for Macsimum News.
Here is what it looks like on the screen. The iPhone/iPod touch automatically scales the round corners on the image.

  • I want my home screen to be app-free. Possible?

I realize that in many ways I'm not exactly normal and maybe I should seek professional help. And that might be why I prefer to have my home screen devoid of apps. An empty home screen has worked great for me until IOS 5. Now, if I sync or power-cycle my iPhone, the blank home screen is gone and the next screen has become my new home screen. Is there a way to keep the home screen empty as shown below? Does anybody else care?

PapaPom, thank you for the affirmation. Like you, I want to think this isn't an unreasonable request. In the interim, I have reluctantly acquiesced to leaving a single icon on my home screen (as you suggest) until Apple is willing to accommodate those of us who prefer a totally blank home screen.
And Apple, if you’re actually listening, I might suggest that you really wouldn’t need to radically redesign the algorithm that removes all blank screens. For example, you could simply add a ‘Blank Home Screen Default’ toggle option to Wallpaper settings. It’s not that complicated and would demonstrate your sensitivity to those of us who don’t fit into a traditionally well-defined box. It’s just a thought anyway.

  • 6 home screen options or 7?  I have a question

Ok so I was interested in checking out a different launcher.  So I downloaded the free version of launcher pro.  Checked it out and decided not to keep it at this time.  So I uninstalled the Launcher pro and went back to the TwLauncher.  Well tell me if I am wrong but prior to my curiosity, I thought I had 7 possible screens to move around on and now somehow I only have 6?  Not a big deal but now I am wondering why or at least how to I get my seventh screen back?  Has anyone ever experienced this sort of thing before?

you can add and remove home screens
at any home screen go to menu>edit page

The option add to home screen no longer appears when I have found a website and I wish to add it to the home screen, any suggestions?
I also took 40plus photos the other day that disappeared without trace

Thanks Chris.  You did help me in that I didn't think of saving to desktop and import it iPhoto.  But, as I am making a book for my Father for Christmas this is a tedious task. I have also found once in a while it does not work on my desktop either.  Must be a Mac thing!

  • How do I add actual email accounts to home screen-not just HUB?

How do I add actual email accounts to home screen-not just HUB? Can anyone give me the steps?

Essentially the Hub area is a home screen dedicated to your communication. Tap on the lower left icon and each of your messaging sections has its own dedicated 'icon.' As JC mentioned, it is new and it may take a while to get used to it.. but once you do it really is a great way to deal with the unified messaging idea and it also allows you to break down what you are looking at very quickly. Just need to learn a few new tricks.  I've been on the Z for just over 3 months now and I could never go back...

  • Help (Task/Calendar Display on home screen)

I need some guidance on how to display my tasks/calendar on my home screen. If there is a way to perform this task I would greatly appreciate it if someone can help, or if there is an application I can download. I previously had the Pearl and I became reliant on this quick view from my home screen.

  • Can no longer add bookmarks to my home screen

I can no longer add bookmarks to my home screen.  As before, I get the choice of "Add to Bookmarks" and "Add to Home Screen", and after chosing "Add to Home Screen", I am asked to save the name as before, but the bookmark is not saved (or at least I can't find any trace of it amongst my home screen bookmarks, even after scrolling up, down and to the right).
As I already have quite a few (but not excessive) bookmarks, most in folders, I tried deleting some and then trying to add a bookmark, but without success.  Restarting doesn't help.  Problem was there before the latest software update, but was not fixed by update.
Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

    Hi Carolyn
I have just spent 3 hours reading and looking for an answer and came across your article here in respect of a similar situation I have with bluetortilla.
I recently dropped my macbook and had to have a new diskdrive replaced. I am a total novice in IT and had a long time in resetting and reconfiguring all my information and migrating my back up from my time machine.
However, since then I have been having alot of issues with Safari which I have never had in the 3 years I have been using Mac.
My problems currently are as follows, after each time I quit safari and when I close the mac and rebooting it.
    1.    All my history is not there when I re-open Safari. Only the history from when I last migrate the data from my time machine is there. However, after following the your instructions to bluetortilla, the old history is now deleted and the history of today remains.
    2.    Everytime I add a new bookmark and save a webpage into this bookmark, it disappears every time I quit and reopen Safari.
    3.    Similarly, even when I save a new webpage into an existing bookmark, this particular webpage disappears when I quit and reopen Safari.
    4.     I also deleted some of the default webpage in bookmark bars, but again these reappears when I quit and reopen Safari.
All-in-all, everytime I delete or add into my bookmarks during a session on Safari, seems to disappear the next time I quit and reopen Safari. Previously all my histroy disappear but it seems ok now after following your instructions here.
Would appreciate your advise and help here. It has been frustrating that I have not been able to save any webpages into my bookmarks or create any new bookmarks without it all disappearing the next time I open Safari.
    Jimmy

  • I have an ipod touch and the contacts icon is missing.  How can you add it to the home screen?

I can't find the contacts icon... How can you add this to the home screen

Every iPod touch has a contacts icon. It might be hiding. You can try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.
