Ok all you developers! Is there anybody out there who would like an option to make the keyboard and background of text messaging dark? Or just to be able to invert colors on just the text messages. It keeps my husband awake at night when I text even with the brightness turned all the way down. I am usually up at night and so are my friends (nightshirt workers unite!) Also I wonder if it would be possible for the music you add to iTunes from your PC on any authorized computer to automatically sync since you have to sign in anyway. I have different music on each computer that is authorized for my iOS devices and it is a pain in the *** to have to put ALL the music on EVERY computer! I hate this feature. How can I put this as a suggestion for the software creators? Or is there another way to do this that I don't already know?

There is no option currently. Post feedback to Apple at www.apple.com/feedback.
In the meantime, have your better half wear a blindfold or don't text in bed.

You can turn off automatic syncing in iTunes.
A better solution is to subscribe to iTunes Match. Then every song you have is available to every iOS device you have (and computers) in the highest quality available.

10.5.8 is the last free update available for your system. If you wish to upgrade to newer versions of Mac OS X, you will first need to purchase and install a copy of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Snow Leopard is back on the online Apple Store, at least in some countries. In the US:

If it's not listed on the web site of the Apple Store in your country, call the online Apple Store, they may still have copies of Snow Leopard available.

All the iOS devices compatible (iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and 5G iPod touch) with iOS 7 have at least 512 MB of memory. The 4G only has 256 MB
I would not expect any more updates for the 4G

I had my iphone stolen the other night and I was just wondering if we can put forward a suggestion towards the next software update.
I've been thinking that you should only be able to turn the phone off if the phone is unlocked (if there is a passcode lock then you should have to enter this before being able to turn the phone off)
If a phone is stolen the first thing people do is turn the phone off, but if this isn't so easy to do then people may still be able to find their phone using the find my iphone app which can only be used when phone is on

Is anybody aware of the period when the next software update will be available? Having all the issues remarked lately solved, of course.
I like this device and I want to keep it, but I'm looking forward to have all those present issues solved ASAP, otherwise it will be a bit annoying.

No one has stated specifically when the next update will come, but by the end of the month when the Q10 is launched, we'll see OS 10.1 and should see a similar update on the Z10.

When is apple going to release the next software updater for ipod photo

Hi,
Is this common to all products from apple that they will stop supporting/updating older or relatively older versions of their product family. The current ipod software updater is too old and it doesn't have the feature of volume control like the iPod video. I have been thinking about purchasing some other products from Apple but I suspect the same behaviour across the streams.

When you bought your iPod, I assume you studied the features it offered, decided that those features suit you and so you made your purchase. How does the fact that a newer iPod now offers different features somehow entitle you to more?
I'm not trying to be rude here, and I agree that it would be nice if Apple could offer some of these new features to an older iPod - but to just expect them to do it and admonish them for not just doesn't seem fair to me. What you want is something extra. If they provide it, great! If not, oh well - you still have all the features you originally paid for plus the podcast support that was added on.

Slit screen add to new Software update?

I was wondering if Apple, could add split screen to their software. Because I would like to be able to do multiple things at once. For Example; Homework, (Yes I do homework on an Ipod) what if I don't know the definition to a random word, so I go to google, then I go back to my homework app and its already restarted. I was jest thinking that would be nice.

This isn't Apple Support here, and Apple is not listening here on this forum. This forum is "users helping other users" and so you're just talking to a bunch of other iPad users who have absolutely nothing to do with what you were just talking about ... :-) ...

Are the pin configurations being changed in the next software updates?

I am currently using 5.1.1 on my devices, and I was told by my local phone shop that the new software will stop my new iPhone 4s working in my car with stereo connection kit, and other none Apple products will to work!
Anybody knowing his is true? Thank you..

Never. N73 is an old model, and it is very very unlikely that Nokia would release a new firmware. There has been no firmware updates for S60 phones as such, and even S60 FP1 devices like the N95 (these might have another one or two, if at all there are any).

or iPhone 4 and I got the updated 6.1.3. How to get it update or when the new one come out ??

No one would know when Apple will do anything unless they announce.

I want to understand your point. I think you are saying, that we should buy products that we are told will get better as we do get software updates. Your idea is if it is first we should not trust it to take advantage of newer software? Because if that is the case I must conclude that a 2010 iMac will only do what it what it was advertised to do. So I should not think the next Software update to 10.6 Mac OS 10.7 will not run on it as it was not advertised to do that. Not even a program coming out the day after I buy it? If so I find so much less value +(the usefulness of something considered in respect of a particular purpose)+ in that product. That means I don't buy then Apple is happy? I am I right or did I misunderstand you?

Nokia N8 software update suggestions

Okay guys. So the N8 is out in most places.
I am waiting for Australia to get it, so I don't have mine yet, but from all the reviews i've seen (countless) there are a few things that I already know I would like them to implement in future firmwares.
1) Portrait QWERTY for text input. Includes SMS/MMS messaging aswell as general text entry.
2) Improve the responsiveness when swiping through home screens. It should be instant, without the 1 second lag.
3) Improve the responsiveness of the pinch-zoom on the photo viewer.
4) Better integration with social networks, including the ability to upload photos and videos directly from the phone, without the added need of an ovi application.
5) Better more fluent web browser, instead of the outdated clunky one currently being used.
6) More fluent ovi maps touch navigation
7) S^4 will be released in the near future, I would like the ability to upgrade the OS to S^4.
Thats what I think so far, I think these features are a must have, I will add more in the future, you guys add what you think too.

When you want to use WiFi only, have you ensured that you have set the connection priority in "Destinations". I had to set my home wireless as first, work WiFi as second, then Virgin Internet (or whatever your internet data provider is) to last.
Destinations is well hidden on S^3 devices, so you go to Menu Button > Settings > Connectivity > Settings > Destinations > Internet. Then press-hold each connection to set it's priority in the list.

i have sccm 2012R2, today i add to sccm software update point role but there in Products page not showilng latest microsoft products such as Office 2013, Exchange 2013, Windows Server 2012R2,Windows 8.1,
there is only old programs,eg. office 2010, server 2012 (not R2)
i update sccm to latest cumulative update 4 but no change in there,
i need to update client computers, there are all Windows 8.1 systems.
how can i update cients from sccm?

This list comes from WSUS which in its default, newly installed state is out of date. The list is however updated every time that WSUS in synced and the catalog is updated in ConfigMgr. Thus, you simple need to initiate an update catalog sync from within
the ConfigMgr console by going to the Software Updates -> All Software Updates node and choosing Synchronize Software Updates from the ribbon bar or right-click context menu.

Is there a way to prevent Software updates to automatically upgrade my printer drivers?

Hi everybody!
Is it possible to prevent Mountain Lion to automatically upgrade my printer drivers?
I'm using an iMac with Mountain Lion at work, and for my printer to work, I need to keep an older version of xerox drivers (newer versions are not supporting some features we're using at a corporate level). Is there a way to tell software updates to stop asking me to update those drivers? I would love to use the "update all" feature without having to continuously reinstall old drivers...

Thank you Barney-15E, I tried to right-click and hide this update and for the moment everything appears to work just fine. I'll let you know if the update request pops-up again at the next software update.
