Hi,
Currently, the definition is that there is no possibility to view UDF added in the 'Define Forecasts' window.
In a future version it will be investigated whether the option to add a UDF to this category can be removed (Hidden from the user).

This report is one of the hard coded PLD that do not allow you to add UDF.

Add udf in standard report

Dear All,
Would like to ask if it is possible to add a udf in the Sales Analysis Report?
since this report only have Customer Code, Customer Name, A/R invoice, Total A/R Invoice and GP, i would like to show the COGS / unit price ...

Hi Tac,
In the Standard Report it is not possible to define and assign a UDF field. A UDF field can be assigned to the forms which are available in the Manage UDF.

Add UDF linked to a UDT

Hi all,
I added a user-defined table (type 'no object') to be able to enter some master data with only a code and description. I want to link this table to a user-defined field.
I tried to add an user-defined field linked to this table (just by following "tools > user defined fields > manage user fields") and the length of this user defined field is automatically set to 8 (type is alphanumeric). When I hit the add button, the system gives me an error which says "Alphanumeric column size cannot be decreased [Message 34-10]". Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Or is this a bug?

Hi Ivo,
FYI: Defining an alphanum UDF with just 8 characters + linking it to a UDT works (+ worked) fine through DI API...
However, what you report is a bug which I hope will be fixed soon in a patch, but I have no information when that might happen (unfortunately it is not fixed in 2005A SP01 PL07...).
For the time being you might consider a workaround (which actually means to set the structure to "Text" at the right time + later back to "Regular"):
a) Launch the "Field Data" form as you described
b) Leave "Type" as "Alphanumeric"
c) Set "Length" to 8
d) Set "Structure" to "Text"
e) Choose UDT
f) Set "Structure" back to "Regular"
g) Click on "Add"...

Please check the information about the fixes for the next patches when available in the download area on SAP Servicemarketplace...

I have the same dilemma I need the incoming payments table to have a ref1 field, but when I view the form settings the ref1 is not there and upon checking the ref1 is on the journal entry table. How can I copy the ref1 of journal entry into the incoming payments table? can you guys help me. Thanks in advance.

Cant Add UDF Row from UDT

Hi,
Need assistance regarding UDF and UDT, I cant add another entry row in the UDF, The UDT is linked with the UDF, I have checked all the other UDF linked with UDF it works fine but only one cant add.
I cant click the field to manually add the data or Define New.

I go to Tools -> then User Tables, then I choice List if Ships, if i will click it it will open the List of Ships, from their I want to add additional Name of Ships, but I cant the form is disabled and grayed.
I cant input or enter additional Ships. But I check other Names from the List it will add. What maybe the cause?

Add UDF in ITM2 - Items - Multiple Preferred Vendors

Hi Experts,
Can any one help me in creating UDF in ITM2 - Items - Multiple Preferred Vendors Table?
Requirement is, a given item can have different vendors with different Quantity per Packaging UoM, Items per Purchase Unit
Packaging UoM (Purchasing), Lead Time, Order Multiples etc.,
Or is there any other accomplishments other than UDT & UDF.

The requirement in brief: Our client deal with many items generally purchased from different vendors. So there are chances that one item can be purchased from different vendors. The information like Packaging UoM, Items per Purchase Unit, Packaging UoM (Purchasing), Lead Time, Order Multiples etc vary from Vendor to Vendor because of Country of Origin.
In Purchase Order Document Entry screen the user needs all the above mentioned information in Row Level for their data entry with respect to Vendor Code + Item No. selected.

Add UDF to Self Registration form in OIM 11.1.X

Hi All,
I want to add few additional fields to the self registration form for eg. Phone no. etc..
For this I am updating SelfCreateUserDataset.xml and than am restarting the server. But still default (OOTB) fields are only visible, Can any body please guide me the right steps?

The only problem with that could be the path of the import-export location. Following should be your variables in weblogic.properties:
metadata_to_loc=/location/export
This would export the entire stuff along with the folder structure to the above directory. Now modify it accordingly and copy it to the below directory location (whole directory structure inside */location/export*)
metadata_from_loc=/location/import
metadata_files=/metadata/iam-features-requestactions/model-data/SelfCreateUserDataset.xml
This should be good enough.

Add UDF for checks for payments

Hello all:
I was trying to create UDF for checks for payments. but I tried (checks, paid document, credit) under the payment and nothing seems to be working.
Is it possible to create UDF for checks?? If not is there a walk around??
BTW the version is 8.8 SP00 PL14 FX1

Hi,
Not possible to create user defined filed in checks for payment document. Work around is try to use unused filed in the checks for payment document Signature field for example.

How to include the UDF of items master data into PLD (Inventory in Warehouse Report (Detailed))

Is there a way to include the UDF in the items master data into the <<Inventory In Warehouse Report (Detailed)>> PLD?
I checked the default layout and found out all the column source type is "free text" and the content is #Item, how do I know the value of the UDF?

Some of the standard reports are hardcoded in sap. Not possible to add UDF field in PLD.

You cannot add sql query in PLD.If you need SQL query use Crystal report or on the document add UDF and try by adding FMS and then selecting UDF in pld

UDF's are gone after installing SP1

I loaded the Webtools 6 SP1 and now my UDF's are not there in SAP (BP, Warehouses, etc..) I do not see anything different on my Synch Manager, and I am getting errors..in webtools
Invalid currency - must be ISO 2417 compliant? What is that?
My theme is the basic that came with the update, I was able to synch BP, items, catagories, etc...but cannot place an order as a customer without the error and I am sure my UDF's missing are part of it
I was doing so well too! Thanks again for anyone's/everyone's help.

Under currencies in the Admin, you need to have USD for the ISO code, and not "$". B1 allows this, but it does not follow the standards of ecommerce currency display.
As for the UDF's, the Install Plugin operation in the synch manager only adds UDF's(if they are not there already) that are relevant to Web tools, and absolutely does not remove anything. There are no delete commands in that process, so it might have been something else.
