Add-user-link for GameCenter

Hello!
I want to make a link where you can directly add me by clicking on it. Is it possible to create such a link? I know, that you can start the GameCenter with gamecenter:// but can I directly open my account with a link?

A simple answer is "you don't". Its not possible by default to logon remotely as root and with obvious good reasons. You don't want to make it easier on others to gain control over your box, this goes double with telnet since telnet in itself is an insecure protocol.
Your easiest option here is to logon using a regular account and use the "su" command to gain root privileges. The best (IMO) option is to assign a certain profile to the user (see the profiles(1) manualpage). For example the "primary administrator profile".

CRMD_ORDER - How to add user status for searching

Hi Gurus
Our requirement is that we want to search sales transactions in CRMD_ORDER by user defined statuses. Currently I can only search by system status (along with other standard criteria such as created by/direct processing etc). How do I add more search criterias so as to enable searching solely by user status?

As per your requirement, i suggest u to check the Tx CRM_SRV_REPORT (standard Tcode)
In this report you can change the layout of the screen after executing the report, and choose the user status from the layout.

GP API - remove user dynamically for a task..

I am having dynamic looping for an action, users assigned in every level.
I am able to add user dynamically for an action using:
rtm1.addRuntimeDefinedUserToRole(prInstance1, Next_Action, userJames, userContext1);
Change user does not work as it will work only for running actions or tasks, for pending one it will not
rtm.changeTaskProcessor(processInstanceID, activityInstanceID, currentProcessor, newProcessor);
remove user is not working for me? suggest me how to use this code?

I tried using the following for my process where the action is yet to happen
I am calling the BG CO before my action. I need to remove the previous user.
rtm1.removeTaskProcessor(prInstance1.getID(),activityInstanceID, userContext1);
rtm.changeTaskProcessor(processInstanceID, activityInstanceID, currentProcessor, newProcessor);
processRoleInstance.removeUser(UMFactory.getUserFactory().getUserByLogonID(UserId));
but nothing is working.
any idea when we can use them? I think changeTaskProcessor will not work for pending tasks.
I am able to get the activityInstanceID from NWA -> GP Processes, but my GP Process is having dynamic loop where the task will generate depending on levels. How can we get the activityInstanceID of the next task/action?

How to add User Permissions to form created in InfoPath 2010 created for SharePoint document Library

I created a form in InfoPath 2010 with three views (one for user input, the other two views to be used by supervisors) and published this to a SharePoint 2010 document library. Now the way this form is supposed to work is that when a User goes to the document
library and adds a document, it is supposed to open the Form with the User's input view. When the User submits the document, only him/her should be able to open and possibly edit the the form. When the Immediate Supervisor opens the form, it should open in
the Supervisors view and allow them to fill in only their section and not be able to edit or alter the user's data. When the Immediate Supervisor saves the document, the Over-all Supervisor should be able to open it in their view and not be able to edit or
alter the sections filled out by the User and Immediate Supervisor.
How would i go about completing this? I have the views created but now have the problem of associating these views with their respective users or groups.

You need to first create user group in sharepoint site then add user in group according to their role. Later you need to call usergroup.asmx web service to get current logged-In user group name so you can switch view and also apply rule for editing or disabling
controls in form.

How to add a Link to Edit User Account Info?

Hi, I want to add a link that will take me to the edit user page in oiddas, for the current logged in user. I would have thought that this would come standard in portal, as a smark link. But all I have is the Edit Portal Profile link (which allows me to set my default group, default home page, etc). I just want to create a link to edit the current user's account information (and reset their password). Does anyone know how to do that, am I overlooking something?

Disable "add to my page" link for an administrative preference portlet

Is there a way to disable the "add to mypage" links for some portlets on a page.
Maybe an adaptive tag to accomplish this?
This would give the user that ability to add one portlet to several communities and prevent anyone from adding the portlet to a mypage.

Add User for Native PDF Conversion fails on Windows 2008 for WebSphere

I'm installing LiveCycle ES3 Generator on Windows 2008 R2 server with WebSphere 8. When I try to add users for the Native PDF conversion as part of the generator configuration I get an error. I today finished installing on W2R2+WebSphere 8 LC ES4 with a similar error on XMLForm.exe. This link worked for me and my error was similar.

How to add bookmark button for user to access application

I would like to add a button that will be an 'ADD BOOKMARK' concept for the user so that they don't try to save the url that is generated at the time they run the application.
I am using Apex 4.0.
Is anyone familiar with this concept?
I see it a lot on the internet with other websites.

I discovered a fantastic website that helped me generate the code needed for my apex page to add a bookmark link. This website is:

This was my code used (be sure to replace the curly brackets with a pointed less than/greater than bracket):

I want teachers who want to list a link to a website, be able to insert a link. how?

would it be a good idea to send a shortcut to desktop from explorer, and then upload that as a file attachment? will that work for most people?

Creating a Database link for a user

Hello All,
I am trying to create a database link for one of my users.
When I create it as sysdba the link gets created in the SYS schema which tells me that my syntax is working/fine.
But when I ALTER my SESSION and set my CURRENT_SCHEMA = <USER_NAME> I get ORA-00990: missing or invalid privilege
So I tried granting the user CREATE DATABASE LINK, CREATE PUBLIC DATABASE LINK, and DROP PUBLIC DATABASE LINK.
Same error.
Any ideas what I am missing?

Please add a "link" or "share" button to replies / answers for easier referencing and linking.

Currently, the only ways to link to a specific reply or answer are:
Hunt through the poster's activity page and look for the link to the post in question, or
Inspect the post's HTML, extract the ID from the enclosing <li> tag, then manually construct the URL by adding it as an anchor to the top level URL.
Example: https://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/4fb9d481-741f-49ea-9059-ff1757ead511#b7e0c275-0645-4c3b-a314-480cb89ef04c was
constructed using method 2. See that link for a discussion related to this topic.
These both stink. A forum, especially one as full of information and as frequently cited as this one, really ought to have an easier way to link to specific replies.
Please add a "link" or "share" button (or something similar) that generates a URL that links directly to the post. Perhaps it could go down next to the action links (reply, quote, etc) or over near the vote button.
If one exists, I apologize but I have not been able to find it (and at least one moderator - the one who replied in the example link I just posted - is also unaware of it). This forum has been around long enough that I'm a bit surprised it does not have
this yet.

Sorry, not possible.
I want to correct myself. There is an old "hack" that still seems to work, which is to create a link to a file, but instead of pointing it to a file you point it to a folder. But Acrobat only lets you select a folder when you create such a link, so how to do it? Create a Word document with such a hyperlink and then use the PDFMaker plugin to convert the file to a PDF. This side-steps the Acrobat limitation and gives you a link to a folder, which when clicked will open it in Windows Explorer.
As I said, it's a bit of a hack and it's possible it will stop working if Adobe ever decides to block it, so use it with care.
