Add VCenter adapter error retreiving certificate

Hello,
i've a problem with AppInsight 5 (Virtual Center 4.1.0) when start configuring and try to add a new Virtual Center adapter i receive "Error retreiving certificate" like as attached image. I've just tried with Vcenter IP, with another user, with domain\user or vcenter\user form but unsuccesfully ... i'm always receiving the same error.
AppInsight server and Vcenter server communicate each other correctly ... Now what can I do?
Thanks

SOLVED
On every FW present in segment Vcenter <> AppInsight (that are in different lan) i've openend all * port instead as described in document 80, 443 8443 etc ...

    Yes, the XP firewall is running. During the Oracle instalation it poped up twice, but I selected 'Unblock'. I can't turn it off because it is running using the domain settings, but I can add exceptions (programs or ports). Port 1521, tnsping or sqlplus are not blocked and there is an option 'Display a notification when Windows Firewall blocks a program' witch is checked.

  • HAL 9.3.1 Essbaes Adapter Error

    We recently migrated from Planning 3.5.1 to 9.3.1 and are still using HAL. In several of our Integrations we were able to pull in the new adapters (Planning 9.2 and Essbase 9.2 - we had to use this older Essbase adapter because the newest version wasn't working). And most of my integrations run fine.
    However, I have one integration for HAL that is failing on a Dimension extraction step with the message:
    Flow ID: 'getMetaActProd'
    Adapter ID: 'Essbase2--GrProfit'
    Error Message: com.hyperion.essbaseadapter.application.ap.APException: Exception #1: error code - 1033: Essbase Error: native code - 1060000
    Most the time we don't get this detail but a 'C++ exception' message and the integration stops (usually when we run this from it's executable). Sometimes running the integration from the executable gives us the other message above - wierd.
    Anyway, I go into the integration and run this and this steps is pulling about 4,000 part numbers into an Access database -we're comparing part #'s from our outline to parts that come in through a data source. The integration gets to about 3,000 or so and then looks like it freezes up and we get the above message.
    I have basically the same integration running on a smaller applicaiton/database and it gets through this step OK. So, I'm at a bit of a loss here as to what I can check. I suspect the adapter was fine because I have integrations the get into Essbase and load and calc' data and all that fine. But this step on our larger database is bombing.
    Anyone have any ideas?

    try the method suggested by user609180 in this post: Re: HAL error 1033 when connecting to essbase/ Analytics />

              I've got a solution which Ive tested and works! You need the 9.2.0
              runtime in order for the VBIS Essbase 9.2.0 Adapter to work. This comes
              from installing the 9.2.0 Essbase Client
              This is what I did I on my client machine:
              1. Uninstall EAS 9.3.1 Console (Not the server), Essbase Client 9.3.1, VBIS
              2. Reinstall in this sequence:
              2.1 Essbase Client 9.2.0, including runtime, and spreadsheet add-in
              2.2 VBIS 7.3
              2.3 HAL Essbase Adapter 9.2.0
              2.4 EAS 9.3.1 Console
              Also
              ensure these Window Environment Variables are set(This is based on my
              computer settings so could differ from yours) Right mouse click My
              Computer &gt; Properties &gt; Advanced Tab &gt; Environment Variables:
              /*USER VARIABLES*/
              /*CLASS PATH*/
              C:\Program Files\Vignette\V7\vbis\Hyperion\EssbaseAdapter
              /*PATH*/
              C:\Program Files\Vignette\V7\vbis\Hyperion\EssbaseAdapter\adm
              /*ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES*/
              /*CLASS PATH*/
              C:\Program Files\Vignette\V7\vbis\Hyperion\EssbaseAdapter\adm
              /*PATH*/
              C:\Program Files\Vignette\V7\vbis\Hyperion\EssbaseAdapter\adm;C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_07\bin\client\
              You might have extra variable paths defined under the PATH variables.
              Ive
              managed to add the adapter in a VBIS project without any errors, it
              connects to Essbase though yet to test if it will perform a send
              properly. The spreadsheet addin works with 9.2.0 and the EAS Console
              works with 9.3.1 connecting to the Essbase Server 9.3.1.
              Hope this helps!

  • Adapter Errors

    I am trying to trap the adapter errors using Alert configuration. When file content conversion fails, an alert message is raised correctly..
    But the link goes to MDT instead of going to adapter monitor? MDT is usually empty in such scenario. Is there anything we can do to fix this?

    In the ARLTCATDEF transaction, where the alert category is defined, one can add urls for optional subsequent activites....
    If you want a link to the Adapter Monitoring page...add the url to that in this tab....the url for Adapter monitoring is http://<was_server>:5XX00/mdt/amtServlet
    i have not tried this...but this might be worth checking..
    Thanks,

  • TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error when starting listner

    Hi,
    I am having this error when trying to start my oracle database listener.
    I can connect to database normally with SqlPlus
    Microsoft Loopback Adapter is installed and config with a fixed IP address. The IP add with computer name and domain is specified in the hosts file.
    I didn't modify anything to the default listener.ora file.
    Any suggestion. Thank you very much.
    Best regards
    K.

    Now I am able to start my listener after I turn off my firewall and restart my computer. The port might be blocked previously ?
    However, now I can't connect to the database even in Sql plus. When connect using user name and password, I have the same error: TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error.
    Testing my connection in Net CA, it said: "TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor".
    In tnsnames.ora, I have SERVICE_NAME= orcl.
    Result of tnsping orcl is "..OK<100msec>"
    But result of lsnrctl services is: "The listnener supports no services"
    I can't find any clue?
    P/S: I am using Oracle database 11g EE Release 11.1.0.7.0 on Window platform.

  • DS 4.0 MSExcel adapter error

    Hi all,
    we have installed Data Services 4.0 in Linux SLES 11. It is a distributed installation with Data Services (job Server, Access server, Message Client, ODBC driver) on one server and DS integration to BI 4.0 on second server (DS Management Console and APS services).
    The problem which I experienced is a problem with Adapters. When I successfully add MSExcel adapter and try to start it, the Data Services suddenly end up with an communication failure below:
    2/24/12 10:45:58 AM Thread[main,5,main]         Unable to connect to job server '<hostname>:6600'. Error= Communication failure. ^M
    2/24/12 10:45:58 AM Thread[main,5,main]         com.acta.adapter.sdk.AdapterException: Unable to connect to job server '<hostname>:6600'. Error= Communication failure.

            at com.acta.adapter.sdk.AdapterMain.main(AdapterMain.java:46)
    I am able to add other adapter and run them, the problem is only with the MSExcel. After the error occurs, there is no way how to stop or remove the adapter as in the DS Management Console you permanently see this error and only deleting of adapter.key and startup_script.xml on OS level resolves the issue. But than I have to recreate the whole Adapters again (and just for sure I created a new Job server again).
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Erik.

  • Ora - 12560 TNS Protocol Adapter Error and

    Hi,
    When the install script tries to connect inernal and create a database instance...the error "ora - 12560 TNS Protocol Adapter Error" is generated which I found in the install log.
    I already have successfully created one database (orcl1) on this NT4 (service pack 6). The second database creation is what's giving me a hard time. BTW, I can connect to the first installed database with no problem through sqlplus. However, the second database is a different story (protocol adapter error). I have checked the windows registy to make sure that the entries are there for the second database as there are for the first(orcl1).
    How can I resolve this?

    I assume you are using the ASP.NET Web Site Admin Tool. If so, make sure you do a couple of things to be able to connect.
    1) On the Provider tab, choose the second link on the page: the "Advanced" link. Select the Oracle Membership and Role providers here. Now, this admin tool will use the correct providers
    2) Next, you need to make sure that the ASP.NET admin tool can connect to Oracle. You can modify the connection string in the IIS admin tool or your machine.config. If you modify your machine.config, look for the following entry:
    <connectionStrings>
    <add name="OraAspNetConString" providerName="Oracle.DataAccess.Client"
    connectionString="User Id=aspnet;Password=aspnet;Data Source=xe" />
    </connectionStrings>
    Obviously, replace what I have here with your the data source, user id, and password that contain the ASP.NET providers schema that was created in the DB. In this case, I created a separate schema called "aspnet" to store this info.
    After that, the ASP.NET admin tool should be able to connect. It will be default to Windows authentication mode, but you can change it to requiring a user id format.

  • Lsnrctl start newlist, TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error

    Hello I am using Windows 7. Oracle 11g R2. Firstly I created my directory C:\oracle\net. Then I created an entry for TNSADMIN in the windows registry entering the newly created c:\oracle\net.
    I ran Oracle Net Manager. The path C:\oracle\net is displayed in the title bar.
    Using Oracle Net Manager I created my listener with the following settings as saved to listener.ora in the C:\oracle\net directory
    # listener.ora Network Configuration File: C:\oracle\net\listener.ora
    # Generated by Oracle configuration tools.
    ADR_BASE_NEWLIST = C:\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_2\log
    NEWLIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 127.0.0.1)(PORT = 2521))
    From the command line prompt I type ......
    lsnrctl start newlist
    The following is returned
    starting tnslnsr: please wait...
    followed by
    TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
    TNS-00530: TNS:protocol adapter error
    ??? How do I resolve this? thanks

    The above scenario is part of a learning exercise (ex6.1) from the chapter on configuring the Oracle Net Environment OCA Oracle Database 11g Administration I Exam Guide by John Watson from the Oracle Press series.
    127.0.0.1 is the loopback address of (all) local machines.
    This step is step 16 of the learning exercise. Until I resolve it I cannot complete the remaining steps!
    The steps of the exercise are as below..........................
    Configure Oracle Net
    In this exercise, you will set up a complete Oracle Net environment, using graphical
    and command-line tools. Where there are differences between Windows and Linux,
    these will be pointed out.
    1. Create a directory to be used for the Oracle Net configuration files, and set
    the TNS_ADMIN variable to point to this. It doesn’t matter where the direc-
    tory is, as long as the Oracle user has permission to create, read, and write it.
    On Linux:
    mkdir /u01/oracle/net
    export TNS_ADMIN=/u01/oracle/net
    Ensure that all work from now is done from a session where the variable has
    been set.
    On Windows:
    mkdir d:\oracle\net
    Create and set the key TNS_ADMIN as a string variable in the registry in
    the Oracle Home branch. This will typically be
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\KEY_OraDb1g_home1
    2. Check that the variable is being read by using the TNSPING command from
    an operating system prompt:
    tnsping orcl
    This will return an error “TNS-03505: Failed to resolve name” because there
    are no files in the TNS_ADMIN directory. On Windows, you may need to
    launch a new command prompt to pick up the new TNS_ADMIN value from
    the registry.
    3. Start the Net Manager. On Linux, run netmgr from an operating system
    prompt; on Windows, launch it from the Start menu. The top line of the Net
    Manager window will show the location of the Oracle Net files. If this is not
    the new directory, then the TNS_ADMIN variable has not been set correctly.
    4. Create a new listener: expand the Local branch of the navigation tree,
    highlight Listeners, and click the +.
    5. Enter a listener name, NEWLIST, and click OK.
    6. Click Add Address.
    7. For Address 1, choose TCP/IP as the protocol and enter 127.0.0.1 as the
    host, 2521 as the port. The illustration that follows shows the result.
    8. Create a new service name: highlight Service Naming in the navigation tree,
    and click the +.
    9. Enter NEW as the net service name, and click Next.
    10. Select TCP/IP as the protocol, and click Next.
    11. Enter 127.0.0.1 as the host name and 2521 as the port and click Next.
    12. Enter SERV1 as the Service Name, and click Next.
    13. Click Finish. If you try the test, it will fail at this time. The illustration that
    follows shows the result.
    14. Save the configuration by clicking File and Save Network Configuration.
    This will create the listener.ora and tnsnames.ora files in the
    TNS_ADMIN directory.
    15. Use an editor to check the two files. They will look like this:
    LISTENER.ORA:
    NEWLIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 127.0.0.1)(PORT = 2521))
    TNSNAMES.ora:
    NEW =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 127.0.0.1)(PORT =
    2521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = SERV1)
    16. From an operating system prompt, start the listener with lsnrctl start
    newlist.
    17. From an operating system prompt, test the connect string with tnsping new.
    000
    18. Connect to your database using operating system authentication, bypassing
    any listener, with sqlplus / as sysdba.
    19. Set the service_names and local_listener parameters for the running
    instance (memory only, not the parameter file) and register the new service
    name with the new listener:
    alter system set service_names=serv1 scope=memory;
    alter system set local_listener=new scope=memory;
    alter system register;
    20. From an operating system prompt, confirm that the new service has registered
    with the new listener with lsnrctl services newlist.
    21. Confirm that the new network environment is functional by logging on:
    sqlplus system/oracle@new

    Does anyone have any ideas what else I can check. I'm a Unix person, not a Windows person, which is making it even more complicated. If I was on Unix, I'd just blow everything away and start again from scratch, but since I'm not sure how to remove all traces from the registry, etc., I don't want to try that on this machine. There was already one other database created, but it's not goign to be used.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    regards,
    Tarisa.

    hi,
    thanks for the info. the problem, as it turns out, was that I was connected to the db server via a terminal service (Microsoft Management Console), which for some reason caused probelms with TNS. After I connected directly to the machine using VNC, I was able to create the database with no problems. strange but true.
    regards,
    Tarisa.

  • "TNS: Protocol adapter error" while creating a database

    Hi All,
    I´m new to Oracle and trying to create a database.
    We use Oracle 8.1.7
    I´m using the Database Configuration Assistant. The problem is when creating the database I get the error:
    TNS-12560 TNS: Protocol adapter error
    Any help will be really appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Carlos.

    Do you have ORACLE_HOME and/or ORACLE_SID defined in the environment which are different than the settings for the new database that you are trying to create?

  • Add-on Conflict error while installing add-on LOCIN release 100

    Hi experts,
    I want to install the add-on for India Localization for IS-Utilities i.e., LOCIN release 100. I have downloaded the add-on and also the CRT(SAPK-10001INLOCINISU) required for the add-on.
    we got an error while installing the add-on it is
    "OCS package SAPK-10001INLOCINISU does not match the current software component vector"
    if we remove the CRT from the queue and start the installation then it will give add-0n conflict error.

    Hi,
    I had somthng like this recently with SCMEWM....
    1. Clear out your EPS/in directory
    2. Download the latest version of the add-on and all the patches ===> the latest CRT's will be in the patches.
    3. Unpack them and try import again.
    Also if you have not seen or read:

  • File adapter error after updating to SP19 (INBOUND_BINDING_ERROR)

    File adapter error after updating to SP19 (INBOUND_BINDING_ERROR)
    Hi all,
      im having some troubles after the installation of SP19 (from SP16 in NW04) with File Adapter (File->Idoc scenario).
    In message monitoring (Adapter Engine), I have several messages with status "System Error". The error text is :
    <i>Received XI System Error. ErrorCode: INBOUND_BINDING_ERROR
    ErrorText:   ErrorStack: Error in sender agreement for party '', service 'LEGACY_DEV', interface namespace 'http://XXXXX.com/XXXXXX', interface 'INTERFACE_OB' No sender agreement found for , , , , ,</i>
    Im sure that the Integration Directory settings have not been changed. So I tried the following, but the problem persists:
    - Deactivation/Activation of File Adapter channel
    - check that user XIISUSER is not locked
    - checked SXI_CACHE (it seems ok)
    - Many CPA full refresh
    - Dummy modifications of File Adapter channels (a dummy modification of the description)
    - Reboot J2EE
    I've seen that someone else had problems after upgrading to SP19. I'd really appreciate any suggestion of how to solve my issue.
    Thank you
    Manuel
