Add weather app to Verizon 8830

Downloaded weather.com app. Cannot install it from pc or blackberry. Guessing it may be the Verizon version of software??? Do I have to run the Verizon version or can I download an updated version of desktop and/or device software?

If you get an answer, be sure to post here! I'd be interested to see how this works. In the meantime, you can install a web shortcut to the weather.mobi site on the BB. That works!
This can be done straight from the www.weather.mobi site when browsing with the Berry.

Basically I recently installed Firefox 3.6 on my Mac Laptop, only 3-4 months old, so latest Sea Leopard OSX System whatever
Anyway once installed I decide to have a theme, then add some add on applications. This seems to be the problem
When I first tried to run it all the apps opened home pages and I kept trying to close them as they did
Next time I got less pages but then I could not access the Tools>AddOns menu before the Firefox browser crashed
What seems to be happening is that the Weather app takes forever to load, my Apple Mac goes into the circle (thinking) mode which means I cannot activate any menus or move my mouse. Then by the time I try and type in say google in the blank www URL address the browser crashed. I have tried going into safe mode using the Option but makes no difference
If I can somehow instal the irksome weather app or get access to the Tool >Add ons menu and uninstall each of the several apps I have daftly installed I know I can get a solution
Any help or suggestions appreciated since I still think Firefox is cool:-). its the apps or some of them that suck!

Maybe you did't understand my previous statement. There are no crashes in FF 3.6, There is no previous evidence FF 14 was ever here, I completely uninstalled all trace of Firefox, no app data, no preferences, no cache. I will upgrade to FF14 so I can send IDs,

How do I add/remove cities from the Weather app?

I have a new 3G phone and would like to set new cities for the weather app. It came with Cupertino & NYC. Can someone tell me how to add new cities & delete old ones?

Launch the Weather app.
At the bottom right hand corner of the app is a white circle with an i in the middle of it icon.
Select this icon to remove and add new cities.
You can also adjust cities up and down on the list.
When finished, select Done at the top right.

Iphone 5, iOS 7. Weather app won't add new city!!!

I want to add weather for cities that I will be visiting soon. When searching for city in the weather app, it states "no results found". Thought maybe it was because it was an obscure town. But I get the same result when searching for New York, or Chicago... Yes I have even attempted to search by zip codes...
I tried turning off location in the weather app then searching for new city. My current city will "auto complete" and show up in search results, but other cities still come back as "no results found"...
A quick google search didn't seem to find anyone else having this same issue....

I live in kampala,Uganda. Previously I moved around the country and whenever I checked my weather app it was accurate; I'am using an iPhone 5s,iOS 7.04. There came a moment where my internet connection was lost and my weather location became fixed on a completely different town where the connection was lost. It is also on the wrong date. I cannot find kampala. What should I do?

I can't do a manual search in weather app to add a location. Even major cities cannot be "validated"

I tried adding a location to my weather app, but every city I search for bring up "no results found" I've tried major US cities as well and nothing...

I believe I downloaded "Gatsby" from eBook search. But when I open it I only get their usual display page with no link anywhere visable - nor access to "Gatsby".

HTC Weather App not updating (diff issue-sync issue)

Okay so let start off by saying I have the 2.2 Froyo Software.
If you add a widget, theres is a widget called "sync all"; whether it is a new one from 2.2 I dont know but lets move on. I have that widget on one of my screens. Periodically I will hit that sync button because I refuse to have it enabled all the time for it to update on its own.
So we should all know that by sync'ing it updates: Backup Contacts/Twitter/Weather/News/Stocks and maybe more.
However after hitting that sync button, minutes on end my temperature is the same; my weather is not updated.
If you were to go into Settings>Accounts and Sync>scroll down to Weather and click it; it will say that the weather was in fact updated but the home screen widget is not updating.
Even if you were to manually update it via the settings/accounts and sync/weather and then click weather update, the status will say it has been updated but the homescreen widget will not budge.
I called HTC after talking to Verizon and HTC also had noted that it too wasnt updating for him either.
I am a user that has everything disabled. But while I await for replies, I will enable everything and start checking things off one by one to see which thing it needs to function.
I dont have Background Data Enabled
I turn off Bluetooth-Wifi-and all locations.
OH and PS: if I go into the weather app and choose the update from that screen; YES it will change temperatures and weather but not by performing a sync.
Again HTC noted the same issue; thought it was a software glitch but last time I called them on this issue was well over a month + ago

the background data needs to be checked in order for the weather to update once you perform a sync; everything else you can leave unchecked

Weather App that reports to your notification center at a specified time?

Here's the scenario:
I work outdoors and live in the Midwest so the weather can and often does vary A LOT from day to day.
I plug my iPad in for the night and go to sleep.
When I wake up, I hit the home button to see my notification center. Contained there is the report from this weather app, telling me the basic information immediately: Current temperature, the day's high/low, any preciptiation chance.
Now here's the added bonus that I really want:
Everyone knows the temperature changes drastically from night to day, so a temperature reading would need to be taken near to the time that you wake up. What if you could set this app to display the information at a certain time? It's a concept just like an alarm where an action is triggered at a specified time, in this case, weather readings. Say I'm getting up at 6am. I'd set the app to report at 5:55am or something like that.
OR the much simpler apprach would just be to add a weather widget of some sort to the lock screen. If that's an option, I'd gladly go for that as well.
So does anything like this exist?

You are correct that things would be easier if it was automatic. However, you will generally find that it is a program with a built-in scheduler, such as a backup program or a video recording program, that left some code behind even if the program was trashed or removed from the system.
As far as the PDP11, I don't think I could afford the electricity to run one even if I had one. The PDP11 is the first computer I was exposed to in medical imaging. I list it because every once in a while it draws out the truth from folks like yourself when they admit to knowing what one is.
I think the first disk drives that thing used were housed in recycled washing machines using the old motors to drive the spindles.

My Weather app is not working on my iPhone 5 iOS8

Does anyone know why the Weather app on my iPhone 5 is not working at all? No temps displayed for cities that are listed and no ability to add/delete cities. Location is on if that matters.

If you are having an issue with your iPhone's weather application not performing as expected, I would suggest a few things to troubleshoot.
First, if as your configuration states you are still running iOS 8.0.2, you may want to install the latest update to iOS 8.1. For how to do this see this article -

If the issue is still present, try quitting all applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Try turning your iPhone off and on again -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is stil present you will want to back up any data on the iPhone and set it up as a new device -

How to delete duplicate location in weather app

I have type in 2 duplicate location in the weather app. Any idea how to delete the duplicates?

I ended up going to Best Buy, where I got my LG G3 Verizon phone. The Tech tried everything to correct the duplication, but could not find how to do it. He deleted everything, and went back to factory settings. Darn if the duplicates didn't come back.
He went to my Verizon account, and went to the Verizon Cloud. Clicked on Contacts, and there were all the duplicate contacts. He deleted the duplications, leaving the original for each contact. BINGO the problem was solved.
I am using the Standard Messaging instead of Verizon messaging Plus. The Tech said that if I had been using Using Verizon Messaging Plus this may not of happened. I just down want the added cost of Messaging Plus.

Local weather in Weather app different than the same city

In the Weather app on iOS 7, the temperature for the city of Charlotte, NC (where I am) is one number, but the temperature for the local city, also Charlotte, NC, is different. I don't understand how this happens. It's the same city. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've included a screenshot of both cities taken literally a second apart from each other.

It sounds like you have the same city set up on your phone twice in the Weather app, and they both show different temperatures. The reason for this is the one on the left is using your current location, down to the zip code. The screenshot on the right is indicative the temperatures for the city as a whole. When you are setting up a new location for your weather app, you can enter a Zip Code, or city name and that is what determines what information you see.
Add a city or make other changes. Tap .
Add a city: Tap . Enter a city or zip code, then tap Search.

I Need Help With My Weather App

I use the weather app a lot. The current location weather isn't working properly. It shows the correct weather but it's not the correct name of this specific location. How do I fix it to show the correct name of the place? (It's one specific place)

Ruby1316, I understand your problem because I have it as well. I no longer have a proper "current" location page on my weather app. I formerly had three locations that I had defined. These were in addition to the default "current location" which would change whenever my location changed. So if I was in State College, Pa., it would give me the current temperature for State College, Pa. But if my location changed to Pittsburgh, Pa., and I pulled up my weather app, my "current location" would change to Pittsburgh. That no longer happens. All I have is weather for the cities I defined. There is no way to add the "current location" back in. And yes, I have location services turned on.

I am unable to delete towns in the weather app.

goto settings>privacy>location servicesand disable the weather app in it.
see weather the last remaining city disappears

How to set the weather app to follow location

is so there a way that you can set the weather app in iOS 8 to follow your location, I know you can set the location services in privacy this is set to always but it still doesn't follow the location I'm in.

The weather app already does follow you. There is nothing to set. The first entry is always your current location and cannot be deleted. You are able to add other locations as well.

Okay, I figured it out. When people in this community say the app is possibly in another folder that means that your apps/icons can actually be put inside of another app/icon. My weather app went inside of my one of my other apps/icons and it was not visible as two apps/icons - it shows up looking like one black icon and if you look inside of it there are two apps inside of it.
Good luck with your disappearing apps/icons! I was so sad and almost did a reset. I am glad I didn't go through with it.
