Add workbooks to a batch run during night?
Hello there,
I have some workbooks. I would like to add these workbooks to a batchrun during night, so when i come next morning the batcrun already have calculated the workbooks. I want it to do it with a proces chain. I have heared that it is possible with the report agent. Can somebody help me?Ik would like to know how to do it.

In 3.5 you can precalculate workbooks within tcode rsprecadmin. For this a Bex precalulation service has to be defined (Basis has to arrang this).
In 7.0 you can scheduling for workbook precalculation via the broadcasting scenario.

Theorethically it should work:
Create a structure in rows with 2 selections, Text1 & Text2; a structure in columns with 3 selections, Col1, Col2 & Col3. All selections are just having provided descriptions, without any chars or KFs.
Using cell editor you can define all needed formulas and descriptions for particular cells.

Schedule payment run during night in 46c?
hi all-
I know that in 4.7 there is new function to schedule the payment run during the night with report RFF110S.
I'm looking for a way to schedule the payment proposal and the payment run itself during the night in 46c.
Any suggestions? Upgrade to 47 is not an option for now

BenIn any system Background Scheduling is possible. ALso it can be scheduled anytime.
If it is a Periodic Scheduling then create a System Variant and assign it to the Prog RFF110S
If it is a one time scheduling then you can do it using Transaction SM37 using the Prog ID.

UTF-8 Encoding errors during nightly batch runs
My boss recently tasked me with researching (and hopefully resolving) why our XML frequently has UTF-8 encoding errors.
I've been in the IS world for less than a year now so please bear with me when it comes to terms, data flow, etc.
Overview:
Our Oracle DB spits out XML for the nightly batch runs into a file location, lets say C:\xPression\CustomerData\Certificate.xml. The XML is in Courier New font but some characters make their way into the XML but arent supported. The big one is the elongated ' - ' character. Just one instance of this and the entire XML fails.
When the batch job is run sometimes there are encoding errors (¿, ¡, -, etc) and every morning I have to come in, finding the invalid character, fix it and have the job re-run.

First thing first, an XML file is a text file, it doesn't have a "font" but an encoding.
The font is the graphical representation of characters and it is related to whatever client tool you're using to view the content, not to the content itself.
That being said, a lot of fonts do not support the full range of unicode characters so you may get replacement characters in some case.
We're missing some information to provide an answer :
- what's the database version?
- what's the character set of the database?
- how are you generating and writing the XML to the file ? UTL_FILE, dbms_xslprocessor, dbms_xmldom?
If the file is generated using UTF-8 encoding then the issue might just be that you're not using an UTF-8-enable editor. -

We are investigating if any SAP customer that implemented SAP APO PPDS has ever attempted to establish a "roll back" of the SAP APO PPDS created supply plan to a defined point before the start of the SAP APO PPDS planning batch run?
We have a situation where - in the middle of the planning batch run - randomly or intermittent the batch run hangs or runs a step for multiple hours that normally, at most days, takes only a few minutes to run. In a situation like this, the supply plan is not in a state where customer sales orders can be promised (using GATP CTP) or planned orders can be converted to production orders and published to SAP ECC, etc since the plan may be capacity infeasible or simply partial or incomplete. To not hold the business operations hostage to wait resuming operations (promise customer sales orders, convert and release and execute orders to transfer, deliver, produce, or purchase) for hours or days, we need to find a way back to the original plan right before the nightly PPDS batch planning job started.
We already close all the queues from ECC to APO, thus, no CIF traffic from ECC to APO. We also shut down the customer sales order feed into ECC as normal process for duration of the APO PPDS batch planning run. Thus, functionally, we are theoretically in a situation to simply go back to a PPDS and active planning version save prior to the run. Yet, many more technical and BASIS-related questions remain on how to roll back to a state where the plan was not compromised.
This inquiry is to learn if any other SAP customer has ever established a process to roll back SAP APO PPDS to a previous point in time supply plan to resume operations? Whatever the reasons are, be it after a failed batch run, or any time during the normal interactive plan day.
Additional information about our design and plan:
1. We have a two year horizon supply plan in PPDS
2. We only publish to ECC 14 days worth of planned orders, stock transfer requirements, and purchase requirements
3. We convert planned orders to production orders and release production orders in ECC 2 days before first operation starts
4. We convert PR's to PO's and STR's to STO's in ECC 2 days before execution (ship or submit to vendor)
Any indication where a SAP customer has developed and uses a process to roll back an SAP APO PPDS- planned supply plan to an earlier point in time or version would be helpful to know.

Saving in Simulation means in DS board when you click on save it provides you option to save sim version or adopt to active version. If you copy to inactive version you cannot copy back trasaction data specially PPDs orders back to active version again while if you save in simulation you can adope it to active version at any point of time. YOu can adopt simulation version changes to active version using T-code /SAPAPO/CDPSS0
Copying to active version means you copy data from version 000 to some other active version while here results are kept simulation, -
MPN Manufacturer batch determination during goods issue
I am from pharma industry and my business runs with batch management, MPN features.
Scenario:
I have 3 different finished product P1, P2 and P3. All three finished products use raw material R1.
But, I have restrcition like, when I am manufacturing P1 product I can only use R1 of batch from manufacturer M1.
For P2 material we can use R1 batch from manufacturer M2 only.
For P3 material we can use R1 batch from manufacturer M1 and M2.
Now, I have maintained the BOM CS02 batch classification for three differ FGs P1, P2 and P3 with relation P1-R1-M1, P2-R1-M2, P3-R1-M1+M2.
In COB2 T-code I am mainmtaining strategy type CO02 - Order type/Plant/Parent material with child relation ship. Here also, I am maintaining relation P1-R1-M1, P2-R1-M2, P3-R1-M1+M2.
Now, when I am creating process order in COR1, I am getting in case of P1 order R1 material batch determination only batches from M1 manufacturer.
Same as for P2 material process order R1 material only batches for detrmination from M2 manufacturer.
Same as for P3 material process order R1 material batch determination option from M1 and M2 only.
Now, if I don't go for batch determination through Process order and in stead of that if I want the batch determination during goods issue MIGO 261 movement against order, the above manufacturer level control we can't put.
As in MBC2 T-code, we have standard batch determination and search strategy for material, plant and movement type.
But, here we can't maintain any parent child relationship.
Now, can you please suggest how I can control manufactuer batch detrmination as per above strategy during Migo goods issue.
Through any standard settings we can do or, any exits required?

You can do this by using FM CO_WB_BATCH_DETERMINATION or VB_BATCH_DETERMINATION function module.
here you can sort the batches and compare the Batch results with the batch search strategy.

Automatic Batch Determination during Goods issue of Production Order

I have set up all the required configs for batch determination. But to get the batch I need to click on the batch determination button. What I need is without clicking on anything. How can I do this. Whats the config needed

It is required lot of set up both in production order parameters and Batch Managemnet .I am providing you a summery of it .
Configuration Required for your above issue are as follows :
1.Activated Batch Management in the Material Master-MRP2 view and Work Scheduling view of the FG
2.check material master MM02, tab MRP2 and set field "Batch Entry" to value 3 here
4.You maintain a Search Procedure in OPL8 - Order Type Dependent parameters .Before that you should have Batch serach strategy :The sequence of steps are as follows -
Create Condition Tables
Create Access Sequences
Create Strategy Types
Batch Search procedure definition
Batch Search procedure allocation and check activation
Define Selection classes
Define sort rules
Maintain Batch Allocation Strategy Number Ranges
All the above are available in the Path - SPRO --->Logistics-General ---> Batch Management ---> Batch Determination and Batch Check
5.Maintain the setting in T.code OPKP (production scheduling profile). Select automatic batch creation on order creation.
6.If u want to execute the batch determination for components in the component overview of production order , then u have to create batch search strategy at COB1
7.If u want to execute during order confirmation u have to create batch search strategy at MBC1.

After upgrading firefox it gets hung up on checking for compatibility add-ons and won't run
I still can't find an answer on any of the support forums and no one helped me when I asked yesterday, is there anyone that may have a clue as what I can do to fix this?
I updated my fire fox on my MAC OS X to 3.6.6 version of firefox, everything went smooth till I open FireFox then the window firefox update opens up and about 1/3 through the process it gets stuck on Checking Compatibility of Add-ons and doesn't go any further. I have hit cancel and firefox opens but it doesn't open any web sites. I have removed firefox and re-installed and it is still doing the same thing. I have also let it run over night thinking it may just take a while and it never progresses, please advise, I am new to MAC but FireFox is the only browser on my mac that will open one of my business pages, known issue with mac for this company.

Random Crash / Memory Crash during night Kinect v2
Hi,
I'm working on SARAH a C#/NodeJS Home Automation software listenig to family at home.
I have 24/7 Windows 8.1 NUC computer using USB device like Kinect 2 and PQLabs Touch Frame.
- During the night it seems the application crash with a memory probleme.
- Looking at Windows Journal it seems the app performs an IO File.delete
- In the journal there is stuff related to Restart Manager ?
- The app can run full day without errors but can crash at night
I have stopped Windows Update, and USB device "standby" but I still have random crash.
Any Idea ? Where should I look at ? It used to work with Kinect 1.
I try to understand if it comes from me or from stuff running at night or things like thatKinect should be good to run throughout the night/day and many do that in some installations. If you have the system idle or go into a low power state, than you may have an issue with not getting frames or the runtime resetting as per the troubleshooting

The only affect of this would have is the runtime would not provide your application frames at that time, it should not crash your applicaiton.

Hi all
We always have the discussion about this topic. Why should the costumers not shut down the server during night to save power (energy)?
I always say, that every "Power On" can damage the power supply or so.
And they are cron jobs during night.
What do you think?

I suppose this somewhat falls under the age-old discussion of "leave it on or shut it off."
However, in this case, if this is an actual server hardware platform it was designed to be used 24X7 and switching it on and off would not be usual. You are correct that most cron jobs are scheduled to run in the wee hours.
If customer is hosting any web pages with the server than those would not be available when off.
My guess is that this question will come up more frequently with thoughts of conserving energy being in the forefront. This would ultimately come down to customer preference, but I'd lean heavily towards leaving it on.

Time Machine Runs All Night...Every Night.
Ove the past month or so I've noticed Time Machine seems to be running (especially at night) any time I'm not actively using my MacBook. (When I'm using the MB it seemed to operate normally backing up every hour or so.)
I initally thought that after a year's worth of accumulated back ups, the Time Machine file was getting too large to efficiently manage. So, not needing all those backups I wiped the hard disk that contained the back ups and started from scratch. (I back up to a hard drive, via wifi, through an Airport Extreme.)
I also Verified/Repaired the disk through Disk Utility.
This seemed to help for a coupe of days, but eventually it was back to the same, Time Machine chugging along seemingly all night. And now, the MB was getting warm when it really should be mostly idle.
So, I did some more research and found this webpage below that suggested if all else fails do a "Full Reset of Time Machine". The proceedure involves deleting the Time Machine ".plist" file and resetting your preferences. Your back up files will stay intact.

Wow! This really did the trick! Time Machine no longer runs all night long, and even the hourly backups during the day seem to process much quicker. So, if your Time Machine seems to just constantly chug along when you think it should be idle - give this a try.

As an aside.....
I'm fairly new to the world of "Mac". I've had this MacBook a little over a year. In that time I've had 3 issues with: IPhoto, Mail, and Time Machine. (The programs just started acting "wonky".)
All these issues were fixed by deleting a ".plist" file (or a group of ".plist" files).
What are these ".plist" files and why are they always getting corrupted? Is this common? Am I doing something wrong? Is there anything I can do to make the files a little more roubust and keep them from getting corrupted?
Seems like one goes bad every 4-months and takes the app down with it.

No, as Time Machine is designed to run hourly, and ordinarily works best that way.
You've clearly got something else going on here. I'd recommend starting by doing a +*Repair Disk+* on the sparse bundle. See #A5 in the Time Machine - Troubleshooting *User Tip,* also at the top of the +Time Machine+ forum.
If that doesn't help, try all the things in #D2 there.
Once you get it doing regular backups, see if the size makes sense considering the amount of changes you think you've made. If the backups seem too large, see #D4 in the Troubleshooting Tip. You may have an app that's causing extra-large (and therefore lengthy) backups. -
MRP - Transaction WC27 Batch Run for MRP
Each day we run WC27 as a background program. We have it configured to define the scope of planning (all of the plants that we want MRP to run). We also have a user exit key. The user exit parameters, is a set group of specific MRP controllers. Materials (part numbers) that have this specific MRP controller should run the MRP control parameters for Scheduling = 2.
The other parameters are as follows:
Processing Key = NETPL
Create Purchase Req = 1
Schedule lines =3
Create MRP list = 1
Planning Mode = 3
We currently see each day, materials (part numbers) that the routing was changed to a different work center using CEWB. However, when the background job runs for MRP (WC27), it does not update the planned orders with the new routing work center change for the material (part number) that has an MRP controller specific for the scheduling parameter set to 2. Why would our MRP run not change the planned order? If, I run MD02, it does update the planned orders. So why is not changing it in the batch run? It is causing issues with our end users running CM25 for a specific work center.Hi,
a. Please check if the material in question has the Planning file entry u2013 through MD21
b. If the planning file entry is not seen, create Planning file entries using MD20 or MDAB
c. Run MRP (MD01 or WC27) with Planning mode as 3 or 2, and check if your changes have got effected into the Planned orders.
When we use Net-change planning at the Plant level, the system checks for the presence of Planning file entriesu2026 and whichever material has undergone some changes relevant for MRP, and thus having the planning file entries are covered during the MRP run.
Workcenter or Routing changes do not result in creating Planning file entry.
At the same time, when we execute planning for the material level (MD02), the planning run does not refer to the Planning file entry and hence the planning run changes the Planned order master data.

u2018In net change planning only those materials are planned for which the net change planning indicator in the planning file has been set as a planning file entry. The system usually sets the indicator automatically as soon as a change is made to the material that is relevant to MRP.

u2022 Creation of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, planned orders, sales requirements, forecast requirements, dependent requirements or reservations

u2022 If you have changed the settings of an MRP type, a lot-sizing procedure or a purchasing department processing time in Customizing, the materials that are affected by these changes thus have no planning file entry and are not included automatically in the net change planning. To enable the changes made to take effect, you choose regenerative planning in the initial screen of the planning run or make an entry manually in the planning file.

Hello
I have been trying to install Office 2010 Pro Plus onto a Server 2003 Terminal Services server. We have an OVS license and I have followed all the procedures (and variations) noted in
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff506201.aspx . However, we still get the error message 'Only administrators have permission to add, remove, or configure server software
during a terminal service remote session.' when users logon via an RDP session. If they logon locally, the applications start without problem. I have tried the manual and .msp setup, installed via the 'Add\Remove Programs, install using the command line with
'Change User /install' and then 'Change User /execute'. None of this stops the message and allows the users to use Office via TS.
Is there a step missing from the Technet site that I need to get the users working?
Any ideas would be really appreciated.

user in question or any user onto the server in question the message above appears.
When I run Lync from the shortcut on the remote drive it works. But when I run it from the desktop and start menu it displays the above error. I spoke to Ctrix who have said that it is a permissions issue. I have checked and all permissions seem to be the
same.

Please suggest how to solve the problem.
Is this report is necessary for the system because it is not mention in the sap stand jobs.

I have check there is Switch of operation mode but when I have checked the t-code sm63 there is no new mode are in normal mode.
There is one thing I want to ask dose this report (Program/Command RDSMOPSOL_MONIREFRESH ) run in your system or any one server because I have think there is some problem in job shued
and is also not mention in the sap stand jobs.

My Aperture 2.1 has gone into a continual thumbnail mode. I left the computer, a MacBook Pro, run all night, about 12 hours and it is still making thumbnails. I tried reloading Aperture 2.1, but that did not change anything. I have also turned the system off, for a period of time, and then turning it back on, when I click on Aperture, it comes up and locks in the thumbnail mode. I can view my stored pictures, even modify them, but it still says thumbnails.
I got in this mode by trying to import "one jpeg photo", from a scanned slide using a Nikon Scan4 IS5000ED scanner. I had saved the scan to my desktop before I tried to import it.

ThanksMy daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!
