[Added] Hexen II: Hammer of Thyrion

Hammer of Thyrion is based on the original Linux Hexen II project, Anvil of Thyrion. It includes many bugfixes and some documentation.
It requires the Demo, the Retail version or the Portal of Praevus add-on to play.
Note that it is still work in progress but I was able to finish the game with a previous version.

* Support for Hexen II, Hexen II demo, Portal of Praevus mission pack and HexenWorld.

So i have download MAX 2.2 and now i can communicate with my devices. The problem ist, that i can't open the VISA session in LABVIEW, so that i can't communicate with my devices. I try to open the NI-Spy, but it show me an error. Have erverybody a idea how can i solve this problem. THX

I understand you want to control GPIB instruments using NI LabVIEW, NI
VISA, and the Agilent 82357A USB/GPIB Interface.
This method works for me. Perhaps you can compare your results to
this procedure, and then make progress.
1. Starting Conditions:
I start with my HP Kayak XU800 PC (single 800 MHz CPU), with an NI
PCI-GPIB+ card installed.
My Agilent 82357A USB/GPIB Interface is not connected to PC nor
instrument.
The attached Visagpib01.vi LabVIEW program is on an uninstalled floppy
disk: A:\Visagpib01.vi
I format the C: hard disk and install Windows 2000 Professional. I
reboot.
Windows runs a Found New Hardware Wizard (for a PCI Simple
Communications Controller). I assume that is for the NI PCI-GPIB+
card. I click the Cancel button. I'll run a similar wizard AFTER I
install the NI software.
2. Install NI-488.2 for Windows:
I put in my NI-488.2 for Windows CD (July 2000, 500739E-00) and let it
autorun. I click on "Install NI-488.2 Software for Windows". I use
the default Destination Directory: C:\Program Files\National
Instruments\NI-488.2\ .
I choose the default "Typical" installation, and complete the
installation.
Now I click on "Explore CD" and run the "SetupVisa" icon to install
NI-VISA 2.5 . I use the default NI-VISA Folder: C:\VXIpnp\ . I
choose the default "Complete" installation, and complete the
installation.
I click the Yes button to reboot my PC.
Now that I have installed the NI software, the NI-488.2 Getting
Started Wizard runs. I click on "Verify your hardware and software
installation". It found my NI PCI-GPIB+ card as GPIB0. The Agilent
82357A will not be visible yet. I click the Exit button. I'm done
with this NI-488.2 Getting Started Wizard, so I click the x in the top
right of the window.
3. Install Agilent I/O Libraries for Windows:
I put in my Agilent I/O Libraries for Instrument Control for Windows
CD (L.01.00) and let it autorun. I click the Next button a few times
until I see 2 big buttons: Full Installation & Custom Installation.
Because this is the L.01.00 release and I installed the NI VISA first,
either button would work. But I'll be precise and click the Custom
Installation button. I use the default Destination Folder: C:\Program
Files\Agilent\IO Libraries . I choose "SICL and side-by-side Agilent
VISA Installation". This will leave the NI VISA as the primary VISA,
and install the Agilent VISA as secondary VISA. After a few clicks on
the Next button, it says the Agilent IO Libraries have been
successfully installed. I choose neither View Readme nor Run IO
Config. I click the Finish button.
Some Operating Systems may require a reboot here. My Windows 2000
does not.
4. Prove NI VISA is Primary VISA:
Start button - Programs - Accessories - Windows Explorer. Browse over
to and highlight My Computer\C:\WINNT\system32\visa32.dll . File
pulldown menu - Properties - Version tab. My file is National
Instrument's VISA Library 2.5.0.0 .
I click the Cancel button. File pulldown menu - Close.
5. Plug the 82357A into the PC:
I finally plug the 82357A into my PC's USB port (any USB port). The
standard 82357A live configure window pops up: "Agilent 82357A
USB/GPIB Interface Detected". Because Agilent VISA is installed, the
VISA Interface Name defaults to "GPIB0". Because I know I already
have a GPIB0 (my NI PCI-GPIB+ card), I click the Edit button and
change the VISA Interface Name to GPIB1, by clicking the nearby little
up arrow. I click the OK button.
6. Configure NI Software to Recognize Agilent Interfaces:
Start button - Programs - National Instruments - Measurement and
Automation Explorer. I click the OK button because I don't care when
MAX searches for new devices. Tools pulldown menu - NI-VISA -
Passport Editor. I put a checkmark in the "NIVisaTulip.dll - VISA
Library Passport for Tulip" line. I click the OK button. Because I
changed a setting, I need to click the OK button again. File pulldown
menu - Exit to exit MAX.
7. Access an Instrument through the 82357A:
The Agilent 82357A USB/GPIB Interface should now be accessible from
NI-VISA. With my 82357A plugged onto my HP 34401A Multimeter, Start
button - Programs - National Instruments - VISA - VISA Interactive
Control. Below the "GPIB1 (hpib7, 82357)" line, is a line for my
instrument, "GPIB1::23::INSTR". I double click on that "INSTR" line
to pop up a session window. Basic I/O tab - viWrite tab, I click the
Execute button to write the default "*IDN?\n" string. viRead tab, I
click the Execute button to read the expected
"HEWLETT-PACKARD,34401A,0,5-1-1\n" string. I'm done, so I click the x
in the top right of the window. File pulldown menu - Exit to exit the
VISA Interactive Control window.
8. Install NI LabVIEW Evaluation 6i:
I put in my NI LabVIEW Evaluation Software for Windows 2000/NT/Me/9x
CD (version 6i, 350778A-01) and let it autorun. I click the Install
button. Eventually I choose the Complete installation. It says
LabVIEW 6i Evaluation has been successfully installed. I click the
Finish button. Eventually I click the OK button.
9. Run the attached Visagpib01.vi LabVIEW program:
Start button - Programs - National Instruments LabVIEW 6i. I click
the lower left RED Start using LabVIEW button. I click the Open VI
button and enter the File name as A:\Visagpib01 . I close the
Controls and Tools palettes by clicking the x in the top right
corners. Notice the resource name field of "GPIB1::23::INSTR" to use
my GPIB1 82357A connected to my 34401A at GPIB address 23. Operate
pulldown menu - Run, and the read buffer field now says this expected
string: "HEWLETT-PACKARD,34401A,0,5-1-1". Running the example again
simply writes over the earlier string, and so does not appear to
change the display. The attached Visagpib01.vi LabVIEW program is
simplified from the "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 6
Eval\Examples\instr\visa\SRQ Event Handling.vi" NI example program.

Workflow for adding 300+ simple titles
Hi,
I'm about to start a new project that involves adding about 300+ kids names to each 1 minute video segment of each child. When it's finished I'll deliver on 4 DVDs.
I'll occasionally need to move sections of kids between sequences so that each DVD is about equal in length. I want to make sure the title stays with the child.
I know how to do this in the simple case -- place my segments in the timeline, add a second video track. Then repeat x300:
In the viewer choose Generators->Text->Text.
Click "Controls"
Click in the "SAMPLE TEXT" area.
Type the kid's name over the words "Sample Text".
Click "Video"
Move the wireframe down so that it's in the lower third.
Click on the duration.
Change the duration to 3 seconds.
Apple-2 to bring up the canvas.
Apple-F10 to overwrite (Don't ask me why it's not plain F10 as the mouseover hint implies, I can't figure that out)
' ' to move to the next edit point.
My question is, is there a way to improve this workflow and make it more efficient? I intend to also name the segments with the child's name, so that I can find them easily if that parent requests an individualized cut. (Right now they all have names like "Segment 39 from Saturday Tape 02") Ideally I'd like to pull the "SAMPLE TEXT" text from the name of the segment, so that I only have to type each name once, while naming the segment.
Is there a way to save my text settings and bring them up quickly with keyboard shortcuts? I can't figure out how to get a keyboard shortcut to get to the "Controls" tab of the Viewer window.

The solution posted eariler is much simpler, creating the list in word still requires the TAB keystrokes to get to the next entry, and it doesn't have the integration of "What am I looking at as I title this?"
The solution above is basically "Do some setup, then:
Type the kid's name.
Tab.
F10.
Cmd-1
Tab.
Type next kid's name, 5 keystrokes, type next kid's name, 5 keystrokes...
It's very easy. I've even re-mapped "bring up the viewer" (previously Cmd-1) to the semicolon to mimize multi-finger keystrokes.
Speaking of minimizing multi-finger keystrokes, I attempted to re-map "Edit Marker" in the browser (orignially some combo involving M) to a single keystroke, but nothing I tried worked. I tried the letter 'g' and 'y' and 'r' and a few others, but most seemd to jump me either ahead or back in the browser list. I found a workaround while searching for a solution, but I'm still wondering if anyone knows why this is?
For completeness, the reason I was doing this is that my original footage is captured as one complete chunk then markers added with DV start stop detect. I wanted to make sub-clips and have them have reasonable names, but there was no keyboard shortcut to do that (or so I thought) so I was editing the marker names using a re-mapped CMD-G, but I wanted it to no longer need the CMD in front.
When seeking a solution for that problem I learned that hitting the ENTER key on the numeric keypad will allow me to edit a subclip name directly, which is actually better for my purposes.

PS. People reading this far into the thread are probably efficiency nuts like me, so I thought I'd share that the reason I used CMD-G to edit the marker is that I name each one with the reel and segment number followed by the text name. For the reel and segment number I cut (CMD-C) the first one, then paste it as the default name in the field for each subsequent marker, changing only the last digit. i.e. "01-003 Firstname Lastname" I cut-and-paste the "01-00" portion. I'd hold down on CMD and hit 'gv' and type the digit and the name. -

이 경우, Segment Value중에 0300이라는 값이 없기 때문에, upload시

재현방법 :

ADI path = Click on the Ledger Book from the ADI toolbar/Enter Journals
1. Log on to ADI as the General Ledger Super User.
2. Proceed to the Create Journal Worksheet form using the above navigation.
3. Choose the appropriate journal type and click on the green check mark to
continue. This will load Excel and the appropriate journal template.
4. Enter your Journal information in the header and body. Place the value of
the segments that you would like in the segment value portion of the journal.
5. Once the journal is completed, click on the Ledger Book from the ADI toolbar
and select the green arrow to upload the journal.
6. Once the journal upload is complete, you notice that the values that were
uploaded for a certain segment have a zero added to them.

Added new RAM - now old RAM not recognised
I've seen several posts where people have had problems with new ram not being recognised, but my problem is this: Following advice from http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/MacProMemoryDIMMDIY.pdf and http://homepage.mac.com/tribe3/.Pictures/MemConfig.jpg, I added 2x1GB Crucial ram to my MacPro today. I put the new sticks on the top riser where the factory-fitted 2x512MB sticks were, and put the 512's in corresponding slots on bottom riser. Now System Profiler shows this:

JimOK- I think I'll just go with it as it is for now. I'll have a chance at the weekend to hammer it with Photoshop and see how it copes. I ran Lightroom this afternoon, and it really was much faster than previous to the upgrade. I'll time its performance in PS with a Photomerge of 24-shots @ 10.1 megapixels each. If it copes with that, and I get the sort of performance boost I'd expect, I'll leave Memtest for now.
BTW - your statements "Memtest is a better choice" and " AHT is good for finding hardware compatibility issues and sometimes finds things (in 30 minutes) that no amount of Memtest would" seem to contradict. Or am I misunderstanding?

Added new field to cube but data not passed from DSO

(BI 7.0) We added new fields into a cube. The fields already existed in the DSO. When we ran the process chain in development for the first time after making this change, we notice that the 'historical' data for these fields is populated in the cube. When we do this in our quality system only new data passed to the cube is updated. In development in the sub-chain DTP request we see all previous requests listed under selections. In quality it is only the latest request. The only difference is that the DeltaInit flag in the DTP request in development is ticked (extraction mode) - but not in quality. Does anyone know whyb this is?hi peter,
Adding fields to cube doesn't affect delta status...The delta DTP should be able to handle delta requests automatically.
I guess in you quality system, the cube already got all requests updated from ODS before you importing the change request. And in develop system none of the requests in ODS were updated before the change.

HI, i recently just switched to verizon and so far i have loved it. But now im running into an issue and itseems almost impossible to get ahold of anyone via phone for support so im going to try this way.
I am mid way through my month and i have ran out of data. I want to add more to my account so my phone will have internet again. How do i do this? I have added more data packages but that hasnt solved the issue, i still have no internet. I use my phone for work alot and need to have internet the remainder of the month. Can someone please tell me how to go about getting internet on my phone until my plan renews in two weeks.

With the iPhone can you please go into Settings, General, Scroll to the bottom and tap on Reset, then do reset network settings. This will not delete any of your personal information. I added my first folder of MP3s and it created a playlist, but didn't show up in the library. When adding a second folder, it didn't show up anywhere. I can do a search for them in the search window, and it finds/plays them, but I want to be able to browse them in my library. These are not MP3s downloaded from iTunes, but are personal files located on my hard drive. Can anyone help?
I have a Dell that's running Windows XP. I have found that itunes is very temperamental. this works most of the time... except on my son's computer that's running Windows Vista.
Go to your library in iTunes. Then go up to file and try one of the options (import, add folder to library, or add file to library).
Adding a folder is the least work. You can add all the files from a folder with one click... if it works. Remember that itunes is temperamental.
If that doesn't work, try adding a file. The problem with that is that you have to go through the whole process for each and every file (song, movie, etc).
Sometimes the only thing that works is to import.
I haven't gotten iTunes to work on my son's computer (Windows Vista).
I can't get support from apple in any way at all! They are good about creating electronics that appeal to us But they are lousy at support. If anyone figures out how to access support (where you can actually contact Apple) please let me know ([email protected]). I've been trying for 6 months. -
Adding New Data To Same Page - HELP
I am trying to put together a invoice on the fly, the products are added to the invoice by selecting the disired product from a drop down menu and hitting the add button. You SHOULD then be able to select more products from the same drop down menu and htting add again will include it in the invoice.... simple?? Well the problem i have is that when i hit the add button to add another item it just replaces the one i have already added.... this is very annoying... i cannot think of a way to take the product data through the form submission ready for adding too.
Any Ideas this is really bugging me, and the more time i spend on it, the worse its getting. Code Below

I'm Very new to ABAP. I have created one report. after 2 new fields added they are EKNAM and EKGRP.
The Thing is the remaining fields are displaying in the output. The Newly added fields are not displaying the out. I was able to add this 2 fields in the head of the report. But issue is not able to get the data on these 2 fields.

Put a breakpoint and try to debug the report step by step.
You will findout the reason very easily.
Whenever you have a select and are trying to append into an internal table, keep checking your internal table if it is been populated with the correct records.
This way, you will findout the cause and can correct is accordingly.

I can get used to the disappearing icon tool bar...but the message threading in Mail is so strangely bad it's hard to describe. So you send out an email,
and it had 5 points...but that was 3 emails before...A reply comes in addressing those 5 points but saying something like ..."I disagree with point number 4"
Unless you have total recall the thread shows you only incoming mail and the LAST most recent folded up message you sent. You are forced to go digging
into sent mail to see what that point you made 8 days eariler actually was...
I am pleased that I don't have to have Launchpad (honestly the silliest 'feature' I've ever seen on a computer) in the dock and see no point in the juvenile Mission Control (the naming scheme is odd and reminiscent of Junior Spaceman...how ironic that we end America's manned launch capability at the same time as Launch Pad and Mission Control, both throwbacks to the 60's are added to an OS). In any case both are virtually useless tools. One, replacing the mildly useful Spaces and the other just genuinely useless.
I'm going to give Apple until the second bug fix...but I can tell right now that Snow Leopard was a far more robust OS. The thousands of posts about this may rise to the level of AntennaGate...I hope so...It seems the only way to get Steve (for whom I have now honestly lost respect for the FIRST TIME) to address the issues is to embarrass the company publicly. Lion is a broken system, poorly conceived...and proof that the Apple methodology of no widespread user testing can and does fail. This needs to get fixed. Soon.It seems to have something to do with profile manager.
I get stack traces in the "system messages" logs for the "Server" application, grrrr.
I'll get that info and attempt to submit a but report tonight.
