On your computer's iTunes if you select that video and do 'get info' (control-I), then on the popup on the Options tab change it's 'Kind' to 'Movie' from 'Home Video'.
To sync it to your iPad, connect the iPad and select it on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (if you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC), and then on the right-hand side use the Movies/Films tab to select and sync it to the iPad's Videos app.

Well, I have some CD's with movies... I converted them using the same program, some of them worked and some didn't apper in iTunes. I tried with all the programs I heard about, what should I do ?

Both are the same. I believe the .m4v files open in iTunes by default. I've changed the extension to .mp4 and it plays for me. But it might depend on what you're going to use the file for.

iTunes is not capable of playing songs in FLAC format.
To use the music in iTunes get a 3rd party converter such as Switch and create versions in an iTunes compatible audio format such as MP3, AAC, Wav or AIFF.
Keep the original FLACs on hand for times when you are using a more capable music player.

I have purchased an Ambient Content movie. It successfully downloaded to my Itunes library. It did a sync with my Apple TV. whn I try to play the movie, I get a message that states, Your Apple TV is not aurthorized to play this content.

Converting to mp4 format

I've created a project with a resolution of 945x630, and it
looks great. We are now wanting to convert these to an mp4 format
for iPhones. I'm using a tool called Moyea. When converting, the
default size is 480x320. The problem is the quality goes way
down...you can barely read what's on the screen. Is there anything
that can be done to keep the screen quality up, while converting to
a much smaller resolution? The 945x630 in Captivate is about as
small as I want to go.

No, there is nothing you can do. Any resizing of more than
10-15% will nearly always degrade image quality (naturally, it
partly depends on what images or backgrounds are in the project). I
do not have a solution for you, but I do have a reason ... so maybe
an understanding is better than nothing at all.
Flash made its reputation by being enormously sharp and
*scalable*, and since Captivate outputs to a Flash SWF file, lots
of people assume it, too, would be scalable (sharp and clear at any
size). And therein lies the problem.
Flash maintains its scalability because Flash-created images
are vector-based. For our purposes, lets just say that vector
graphics are actually mathematical formulas, so when you change the
dimensions, all that is required is that the mathematical formula
be changed by the same degree, to maintain clarity.
On the other hand, Captivate works as a bitmap
editor/creator. Bitmapping is the methodology of assigning each
individual pixel (the smallest unit of measurement in a grid) its
own color identifier. So because Captivate converts everything to
bitmap images, when the image size is changed, the engine doing the
bitmapping has to interpolate what a new pixel should have as an
assigned color, or in the case of shrinking, what color should be
assigned to *smooth* the area where pixels are being squeezed
together.
A long-winded way of saying that - inside Captivate - *
you can't get there from here* (as they say in some parts of
the world). Sorry I don't have better news for you.

Trying to move iPod touch to new computer. iTunes library from old computer already on external hard drive. Don't want to lose playlists, apps, etc. Help?

I am trying to move iPod touch to a new computer. My iTunes library was already on a 1 TB external hard drive. I downloaded iTunes on my new computer, plugged in my external hard drive with my iTunes library, and changed my iTunes media folder location (preferences-advanced) to my external hard drive location. But now all my songs are "checked" (all were not before) and none of my old playlists are present. When I plug in my iPod touch to the new computer, it asks if I want to erase and sync. I do not want to lose my playlists, apps, etc. How do I move over to my new cpmputer without erasing my iPod and losing stuff?

Look in your iTunes Media folder and find the folder "Automatically Add to iTunes." Then just drag your new downloaded file into it.
Assuming the file is in a compatible format for iTunes, any file you drag into "Automatically Add..." will be immediately added to your iTunes library. (Or, if iTunes is not currently running, the file will be added the next time you start iTunes.)

How to embed and play mp4 video in HTML AIR application?

Adobe Air HTML / JS application compiled from SDK command line. I am not using flash pro or flash builder to create the application.
I was using dreamweaver but the dw air plugin seems to have stopped being developed so I switched to using the command line tools.
I am creating desktop air application that has embedded mp3 audio and also I want to embed mp4 video.
Using jQuery and the AIR js plugin I am able to play audio via buttons hooked up via jQuery and the AIR js plugin from the SDK.
What I am doing is creating proofs for clients in AIR and sending link to the client to download the application. I embed the media because I do not want to place them on a website where it could possibly be seen by non-clients and get picked up in the SE's.
I am finding it hard to understand the AIR process for playing video. I read that it is the same procedure as audio but it does not work.
If it was hosted on youtube or somewhere embedding the web player would be simple, just copy paste some code and it works. When actually embedding the video say mp4, f4v, mov, wmv or similar file formats I can't get AIR to play the video. Audio, not a problem it works great.
I would like to do the following with video.
Embed the actual file in the AIR app. I can do this, it gets embedded.
Play, pause and stop the video - Can't get this to work
Get the current stop point and be able to start the video by sending a start point - This is all working with audio I just want to do it with video.
I have searched the forums, the search engines, youtube and read through the documentation on Air but the video does not work at all.
I need code samples and direction on how to make an embedded video play inside of a desktop air application using the HTML / JS air model. I am using the command line tools to create the air package and test the air app.
Please help if you have figured this out.

Not sure if this matters but I am using Windows 7 Pro 64bit as my development machine.

In addition I also can not get html5 video to play in the adobe air app. Would this issue be tied to the above?

How to sync and play itunes movies in 1080p hd on iPhone 4S/5/5s or iphone 6 plus

About 6 months ago I discovered iTunes was set by default to 720p. These MUST BE CHANGED TO 1080P!!!!!!!!.......So I installed FULL 1080P file on my laptop on iTunes... When I download movies on iPhone 5s/iPad mini the file is 720p.... So within about 60 seconds of starting download of 1080p files into my laptop of iTunes purchases. It was at that moment that I realized it was that file my laptop has on file to sync to my Apple device...Ten minutes later when the first 1080P HD file was downloaded I must say... The resolution is amazing... I now use this same process to install movie files from iTunes.. In FULL 1080P.. Not 720P... Works on my iPad mini also... Avatar is 5.4 GB if installed over Wi-Fi... However sync with laptop and file is 6.5 GB in size... Called Apple told them... No reply yet.... You must delete 720P files from your laptop... Look for file size in any movie purchase and you will see DOWNLOAD IN 1080P.. This will open preferences in iTunes for you to the correct tab so you can change setting to 1080p from default of 720p... DELETE any downloaded movies already downloaded into laptop... You can check file quality by right click on any movie folder and the look at movie info... Will say 720p HD... Delete to recycle bin and iCloud will appear on each movie... Now download 1080P HD file... When completed. Right click any file to verify it is 1080P HD... The sync with device...... And get ready to be upset with Apple for holding back your device for the last 2 years 3 months and 16 days......And be ready to catch your jaw from hitting the floor when you see your screen in full 1080P HD.... Apple Engineer's were asleep.....

Currently There is only one option to watch 1080P movies from iTunes on your Apple devices... With a sync with a laptop.. Apple by default sends the 720P file... Users have no option to control video download... Some like me want the full file... Some uses may think the 720P file is fine... However I see the difference... And it is big.. The iPhone has a 1080P camera... So it can play and store a 1080P file... And the screen does display a better image... Just watching a iTunes movie and shooting a video in 1080P on your iPhone and you can see the image is better.. YES it's 1080P... not 720... Apple has know from release of iPhone 5 on September 21,2012 iPhone can play 1080P file... However the system is overloaded as I seen on my Apple T.V. On Christmas say ready to pay is 8 hours 22 minutes... I pay for 50MBps download and 5MBps download.. fastest I can get in my area... It's obvious it will load Apple's network and the don't want to make the changes... Users now wanting 1080p files for iPhones/iPads.... The system load would jump off the scale... I contacted Apple told them the issues, currently they have stopped emailing me replies on the issue after issue was escalated to Apple engineers... Apple knows... Yet...

How to move Mobile Applications folder while sharing an Itunes library

For reasons that would be long and hard to explain, I decided some times ago to open a second user on my Book Pro dedicated to my music collection. The collection required to be stored on an external HDD, so the second user's Itunes folder links to a folder where all music is stored, and I put it with all library files (xml etc) in the Shared folder. Now I have decided to let the primary and mostly used user to share the same music of the secondary one. I easily succeeded in doing this, just simply opening the primary ITunes and ask it to link to the Itunes folder under the Shared folder. I have got my entire library also from the primary user, with covers and so on.
The trouble is that I use to manage an Iphone with the primary ITunes, and since I have not moved the Mobile Application folder (and what more?) into the shared ITunes folder, I cannot see anymore all data and applications into my IPhone section under ITunes, and I do not want to run experiments, doing a sync and just running the risk to lose all. How can I share the same ITunes library between two users, but to allow one of those still to see the IPhone data that was originally managed only from her ITunes, that now addresses to the ITunes folder under Shared folder that addresses to a HDD?.....

Still misspeaking. Further use reveals that while the users iTunes use the shared file, when the phones add new apps their iTunes recreates its iTunes Media directory in the users home folder. This time I can exit iTunes, move the apps to the shared Mobile Applications, delete and empty trash the original apps/ and folder, then the users iTunes will find the app in the shared folder when it restarts. Clearly not very tidy...
