Added SSD but now it freezes regularly

Hi,
I've added the SSD and moved the HDD to the optical bay. All appears to have gone well, it is definitely quick, but it freezes pretty regularly. I did it this afternoon and it has frozen about 6 times,each time requiring a reboot.
The approach I took was to lone the HDD to the SSD after installing and as I say, it seems to have worked other than the freezing.
Anyone experienced this?

button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- If still problem, connect the iPod to your computer. If iTunes sees the iPod restore the iPod via iTunes.
- If iPod not shown in iTunes, see if placing the iPod in recovery mode will allow it to show in iTunes so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
If it still cylce one and off, disconnect the iPod and let the battery fully drain. Then charge and try again.

Time Machine backs up 256G SSD but now skips the internal 1TB ATA

Hi,
Time Machine has been working flawlessly for over a year. But now something strange is happening. TM reflects changes on my 256G SSD internal drive but not my internal 1TB ATA drive. I have an iMac i7 2011. I have an external 2TB WD drive that I backup to and it's nowhere near at capacity. My 1TB ATA, under TM, shows me a state that's a few weeks old and no changes I make are backed up, even when I perform a manual backup.
I've checked the console log. There's nothing out of the ordinary:

Forgive me, but how do you know it's not backing it up?
The log you posted shows data copied from both iMac-HD-SSD-256GB and iMac-HD-ATA-1TB. Those are the SSD and HD, aren't they?
(There is an occasional bug in the logs, where TM erroneously reports the same amount of data backed-up from each volume.)
Try this: open a Finder window to your Computer (or press Shift+Cmd+C), then Enter Time Machine. Don't select anything on the Finder windows in the browser yet, but click one of the backups in the TimeLine on the right. That should show a folder representing each volume that was backed-up, sort of like this:
Click the volume in the sidebar (or the icon in the center) to see the backups of that volume.

HT3880 I can't share photos via message on my i-phone 5 - I did a few times but now it freezes... help!

I am new to my I-phone 5 and was happy to be able to share a picutre on message to my husband when out with the kids. Now when I hit this option, it doesn't share on message and it freezes forcing me to shut down my message sending back to the main screen. This function was working just last week - why not now? What can I do? It is sharing well on email, facebook etc... just not on message. I am getting images from others this way but can't send mine out. Please help!

Try a reset, hold down the home/power button until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

The battery life went for days with her but as soon as I started checking my email and adding apps the battery doesn't last more than a couple of hours. I deleted some apps but no change. Yes, notifications are part of the problem. For more information look at at the previous posts on this problem. Yu can find some of those on the right hand side of this page under the heading: More Like This. I keep mine in airplane mode when asleep.

Upgraded to 7.7 but now itunes freezes when I connect my iphone

why does my itunes freeze when I connect my iphone to my computer? My iphone still charges when i connect it so my computer does read it but not itunes.

I just added memory but now my MACPRO is NOISEY!!! IS THIS NORMAL??Help!

I recently added 4GB(2x2gb) of memory to my previous 2GB(4x512mb) MacPro, so now it is 6GB. After installation everything seemed fine, except now it is noisier than ever, at first restart it was incredibly loud and seemed like the fan was going into overdrive, it went quieter, and now its just noisier than it was before! i dont know if this is normal or if it is hurting my machine! The following is about my computer maybe something is wrong here...

FYI, from page 32 of the Mac Pro User Guide:
Important: Apple recommends that you use Apple-approved FB-DIMMS. Non
Apple-approved FB-DIMMS may cause your Mac Pro to operate louder or decrease
performance to conserve heat. DIMMs from older Mac computers cannot be used in
your Mac Pro.
I ordered a Mac Pro on Saturday. I like to read the documentation prior to receiving something new. Because, once I get it I want to start playing with i immediately.
BTW, I ordered a 4GB RAM, 2x2GB, upgrade from Crucial. I used Crucial's memory advisor to pick the RAM. I hope I made the right choice.

Acrobat XI Has Updated but Now Freezes

My windows 8 version of Creative Cloud subscription has updated Acrobat to XI but now it freezes upon entry and does not respond to any mouse click, even to close the file

I cannot find this 300GB "Backup" in the Finder, only in the Storage info when I check "About This Mac".
You are probably using Time Machine to backup your MacBook Pro, right? Then the additional 300 GB could be local Time Machine snapshots. Time Machine will write the hourly backups to the free space on your hard disk, if the backup drive is temporarily not connected. You do not see these local backups in the Finder, and MacOS will delete them, when you make a regular backup to Time Machine, or when you need the space for other data.

I have restarted my computer, but the information remains the same. How do I reclaim the use of the 300GB? Why is it showing up as "Backups" when it used to indicate "Photos"? Are my photos safe on the external drive?
You have tested the library on the external drive, and so your photos are save there.
The local TimeMachine snapshot probably now contains a backup of the moved library. Try, if connecting your Time Machine drive will reduce the size of your local Time Machine snapshots.

Something fishy going on with those particular files. But without looking at them directly I couldn't say what. Usually in a case like this the problem is some of the metadata that is attached to the file. Where did these files come from? A camera, a scanner, the internet?
An explanation about the Watched Folder function: It looks for changes to a folder, not just automatically grabbing whatever files are in it. Generally, you want to select an empty folder as a Watch Folder. Once this has been set up, as you add files to this folder they will be imported into the Organizer. If you start with a folder full of images, those will be ignored, any new items will be added.

You must update the apps with the Apple ID that they are purchased with.
The only way to get round this is to re-purchase the app with the new Apple ID.

Paul--you are a life-saver!! Worked great. I did have to look around to make sure I was getting 4.9 instead of 4.7 (even when the file was named 4.9 at techspot.com), but I finally got the right file, did the install as you suggested, and everything is now fine. One note, though, that I haven't seen mentioned in any of this thread: when I first tried to open up iTunes after getting back to 4.9, the following message appeared: "The file iTunes Library.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes." I merely went to the old .itl file that was created when I did the update to iTunes 5, renamed it, moved it over to my now new 4.9, and iTunes opened fine. My library was a few days out of date, because of the few days' lag from the time I did the iTunes update, but that was easily taken care of, and everything's now working fine. Thanks again!!!

Did you delete the hard copy of the songs from your computer after you uploaded them?
If so just highlight the said songs and delete but do not check the box that says delete from iCloud and your songs should play fine.
This happens when the original file is moved from the location that itunes was looking for it at and if you did this because you uploaded it then it will still be in the cloud you just need itunes to read from cloud and not think it's supposed to be finding the original file
