Added Track Behavior to Shape, where is Analyze Motion

In Motion 3 there was an 'Analyse Motion' button after you add the track shape behavior.
I don't see that in 5.  Screen shot attached.
Thanks

Okay, I've done that, but I still don't see analyze motion.

  • Majority of recently added tracks won't sync (error -50); previously added tracks sync fine

Argh. I have a 5th Gen iPod Classic (80GB) and, until very recently, it's been functioning quite well.  Now I am getting error "'iTunes could not copy {song name} to the iPod {iPod name} because an unknown error occured (-50)." when trying to sync songs I have recently added to iTunes from several sources.  However, a few recently added tracks successfully synced.
In particular, there are numerous albums and songs recently purchased from Amazon that do not sync, although they play fine in iTunes.  In addition, a free song downloaded from Last.FM does not sync.  I also tried ripping a CD to AAC, and the majority of the songs do not sync.  (The first time I tried to sync the songs ripped from CD, only one track synced.  The second time, a second track synced as well.  36 additional tracks have failed to sync).
Note that there is nothing different about the format (codec, bitrate) of these newly added tracks.  Tracks added a month or so ago with identical specs and from the same sources were able to sync without a problem.
A free song downladed today from the iTunes store did sync, however.
I am on XP SP3 (up to date) and have tried all of the following:
    * Updating iTunes to latest version (10.6.3.25)
    * Uninstalling then reinstalling iTunes
    * Updating firmware on my iPod (was 1.2, upgraded to 1.3)
    * Performing "Restore" on iPod and freshly re-syncing all tracks
    * Enabling the "Enable disk use" option on the iPod
    * Updating the Windows registry as directed in this tech bulletin: <http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1539>
    * Error checked the iPod using the Windows "Error-checking" utility (under Properties-->Tools) - no errors reported.
    Further reference:
    * "Convert higher bit rate songs to (rate) AAC" is not enabled on the iPod.
    * There is still about 32GB free on the iPod after syncing all of my library except the new tracks
    * Only antivirus software installed is Microsoft Security Essentials, which is up to date and reports no infections
What is going on??  Approximately 9600+ tracks that were added to iTunes before my recent difficulties (including tracks from many different sources) synced flawlessly when I performed the Restore.  The only tracks creating the problem are tracks added very recently to iTunes.
Is it possible that my iTunes library is corrupt?  Can I rebuild or repair it without losing anything?  Should I follow the steps in this tech bulletin <http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1451>?

Okay, I have a partial understanding of the problem, and more importantly a workaround.
I think the Amazon MP3 Downloader was indeed the culprit.  It is configured to automatically add your downloaded tracks to the iTunes library.  I think the most recent version of this application has some kind of bug and did not add the tracks to the library properly.
It is kind of a subtle bug, because the tracks were added well enough to see them and play them in iTunes.  However, I think the filepath that was added to the iTunes library was . . . messed up somehow?  In iTunes, the paths for the offending tracks looked something like this:
    F:/Music/AMAZON~1/BEEGEE~1/NUMBER~1/01-MAS~1.MP3
It is still strange to me is that rebuilding the library did not fix the problem, but regardless, I found a way to get sync working:
    (1) Made sure "Keep iTunes Media folder organized" was enabled under Edit --> Preferences --> Advanced Preferences
    (2) Used File --> Add Folder To Library . . . to add the folder where the Amazon MP3 Downloader put my downloads
This reorganized my Music file into the standard Artist/Album structure.  However, the old, nonworking tracks were still in the library.
    (3) Used File --> Display Duplicates, then sorted by "Album by Artist"
    (4) Manually deleted all the nonworking duplicate entries.  (You can tell which one is the problem--when you click on a problematic entry, an exclamation point in a grey circle will appear next to the track name)
After this, everything synced perfectly, including the remaining tracks I ripped from the CD.  My file paths for the recent Amazon downloads now look like this:
    F:\Music\Bee Gees\Number Ones\01 Massachusetts.mp3
Hope this helps someone else, and I hope the problem is fixed in a future software release from Amazon.

  • No longer able to use previous method for adding tracks and orginizing my library :(

I use to add a few mp3's to my library then sort the library by date added to see the just added tracks at the top [most recent] of that view, well that don't always work since itunes 11. Can anyone explain please? or even offer an alternate method? I know there is now a folder named "Automatically Add to iTunes" is it absolutely necessary that I use that folder? If it is that odd because not everyone is as gifted as I {NOT!} and they might not be able to locate the folder.
    thanks
    Fredy

You can restore much of the look & feel of the previous version with these shortcuts:
CTRL+B to turn on the menu bar.
CTRL+S to turn on the sidebar (your device should be listed here as before).
CTRL+/ to turn on the status bar.
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour.
Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store anduntick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may allow iTunes to start up quicker).
Use the Songs view and enable (if necessary) the Date Added column, then sort in descending order. Alternatively you could use the Recently Added smart playlist to view your imports.

  • Logic X randomly adding tracks then freezing?

I am on ver 1.0.0.2 now. When I start a new project the program starts adding tracks on its own, when I attempt to cancel I find 6 more tracks, I cannot cancel the proceedure, after it creates about 16 tracks it freezes and I have to force quit. I hope I can someday start using the software I just purchased.

If the application supported auto-save, yes, if not, then no.
If you were creating a mail message, it might be in the drafts folder of the e-mail program.
What evidence do you have the computer restarted itself?    Did the Apple logo come up?

  • Help!  (Adding tracks problems)

    Help!
Whenever I start off with 8 Audio tracks, and then add more tracks on top of that 8, the original 8th track will not play.
If I add something in the 9th track, that will play, but whatever was in the 8th track won't. If I mute the 9th track, then the 8th WILL play. Adding tracks only affects the 8th track (the last track of the original 8), the other 7 play fine.
    Help!!

You may only have 8 devices defined. Run the Setup Wizard to check:
Logic > Preferences > Start Logic Setup Assistant
Also, make sure you are using:
Track > Create with Next Instrument
since the standard create uses the same as the one you're selecting and that means the behaviour that you've described.

Make sure you are doing the delete when looking at your library ("Music"), not a playlist.

  • Matchmove seems to hate Analyze Motion?

I'm using Apple Motion 3. I have a short clip of a car pulling into the driveway and I need to blur out the hood ornament. I've watched a few tutorials online and I really do think I'm following their steps correctly but I keep running into one fatal snag:
    THE PROBLEM
When I apply the Matchmove behavior and select its Source from the dropdown menu in its Inspector window... the computer instantly toggles the Matchmove behavior to "unchecked." This then defeats the entire mission.
    THE HISTORY
Here's what I'm doing from start to finish. I open my raw clip. I click Analyze Motion. I set up about 3 or 4 tracking points. I click "Analyze." The computer analyzes and tracks the points just fine. I then apply my filter -- a circular blur filter -- and I center the blur filter exactly where I'd like it to start in the first frame of the clip. Then I go to the Add Behavior menu and I select Matchmove. Then I go to the Inspector and try to manipulate the Matchmove so that it reads the correct source: I choose the only option in the drop down menu for Source, which is "Analyze Motion 998_5322." The number is the name of my clip, incidentally. But, again, here's my fatal problem, when I choose this source, the check-box for the entire Matchmove instantly unchecks itself.
    Help?
    Shanked
PS I tried to bypass this issue by skipping the entire Analyze Motion step and just right clicking my circle blur filter on the image pane. This right clicking gives me the option to click on "TRACK." When I do, I get a TRACK behavior to pop up in the Inspector window. This works just fine but it only allows me ONE single tracking point. For this effect, I need 3 or 4 tracking points, because the car is approaching camera on a curved path. So my little bypass is no good. How can I make Matchmove work?

    hi,
i'm not quite sure of your method, here's how i would do it:
import clip into motion and copy it, so now I have two copies. Turn the visibility of the top one off.
apply analyze motion to the lower visible clip by putting tracking points on hood ornament.
Now turn top clip back on and draw mask around hood ornament. Apply blur filter to upper clip,
you should now see a blurred hood ornament on an in focus car.
Now apply a matchmove behaviour to the mask you draw on the upper clip. Then drag the analyse motion behaviour form the lower clip and drop it in the well of the matchMove applied to the mask on the upper clip.
that should now make the mask follow the position of the hood ornament and since it has a blur applied will blur that part of the image. You might want to feather the mask a little to the edges arent so abrupt as well.
of course sometimes its just easier to keyframe the position of the mask and have done with it. Depends on the footage.

  • Manually added tracks put my iPhone over capacity. Now I can't sync. Help!

I have a number of Audiobook I tried to sync to my phone.  I could not find anywhere in the iPhone settings to choose to sync these (anyone know where?).  So I manually added them by dragging them from iTunes onto the iPhone.
However they are very large files and put my iPhone "over capacity".  Now whenever I try to sync I get an error message saying:
"The iPhone “Mr Shiney” cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the selected items (additional 7.38 GB required)."
But I can't unselect these files!  They don't appear in the "Manually Added Songs" section of the Music tab.  My phone is stuck in this weird state where I can no longer sync.
I have tried deleting the songs from iTunes.  But this now just says the songs couldn't be found so I still can't sync.
Should I restore from backup?  Won't I lose all my app content?  Any ideas what to do?
My iPhone is a 3G on iOS 4.2.1. iTunes is 10.5.

Have you touched the "More" button (on the iPhone).
    then gone to Audio Books.
    Are they there?
I had an audio book still on my iphone, it survivedf the iOS5 update.
To get rid of it, I plugged iPhone into Mac,
    Go to itunes.
    Click on Iphone in iTunes.
    Go to Books tab,
Scroll down, there is audio books.
    Choose sync selected audio books,
And untick the ones I don;t want.
    Dows this work for you?

  • Odd freeze track behavior

I can't get certain freeze tracks to mute. They aren't effected by the mute button and when I solo other tracks, these freeze tracks continue to play. They do respond to the volume fader and pan. Right now it's just 2 tracks and both are audio tracks. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Hi, You could mute the regions on the track -
Muting regions does not work with Melodyne plugin or Side Chain compressors.
Melodyne works by streaming its audio slices direct inside the channel strips inserts ... so you can only deselect output and/or turn off automation (that usually contain muted parts) and MUTE the channel strip that with automation off never will be turned to ON!.
The same behavior should happen with a "Side Chained" compressors/gate/expander that use the awesome feature of the Logic Mixer!
infact... Side Chain should be another cause for this issue...
That it is not an issue.... this is a great Logic features... just you need to learn how Logic works ("you" is not refered personally to Erik or Jon... it is only a "general" "you" = new logic users)

  • Manually Adding Track Numbers Doesn't Work!

I would like to make a "custom album" for an artist, a greatest hits designed by me, if you will. The songs are all by a single artist, but come from various sources. Some were purchased from iTunes Music Store, some were imported directly from CDs, some were MP3 files from my old PC, etc. (you get the idea).
Anyway, I select all of the tracks, press Command+I to open up the "Get Info" window. For all the tracks at once, I give the album a name ("Best Of Whomever") and manually enter the tracks (1 of 32, 2 of 32, 3 of 32, etc.) I check everything else to make sure there are no inconsistencies between the tracks, as I want all things to be equal. When I'm done, however, there is inevitably a stubborn track (or two or three) that insists on ignoring its assigned track number and placing itself somewhere else in the list. This happens most often with IMS tracks. It's very frustrating and annoying.
The way around it, of course, is to make a playlist. But without folder support for the iPod, playlists quickly become unmanageable.
So my point is, if I manually assign a track a track number, it should go where it belongs and not wherever it chooses to. (And remember, before I assigned track numbers, I gave all of the tracks the same album name and info as a group, so there are no inconsistencies from track to track, like wierd spaces or misspellings.) I've tried everything and can't seem to solve this problem.
    iMac G4   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

My suggestion would be to ask in the iWork for iOS forum. Many more iOS users there.

  • Adding tracks to one album?

I have just selected a music folder from my pc and added it to itunes! the problem I have is that a couple of tracks from the album have downloaded separatley from the actual main album and they are showing up as different albums but with the same name? how do I add the couple of rogue tracks into the main album?

You sometimes also have to select all the tracks and choose compilation esp for older MP3's or ones with not 100% clean tags.

  • Tracking a user shape

When I create a custom user shape in the geometry room, say a shape around a person, how can I then track that shape? Do I have to use the manual tracker in conjunction with the user shape? Any insight is appreciated.

You don't track the shape, you track the object. Create a motion database by picking an in and out point and letting the analysis proceed. You are not forced to use the manual tracker unless the base video is so bad that the auto tracker can't follow the target. That file then is attached to the user shape, which, in turn, is attached to a secondary. The COLOR tracker is only single-point and is only as good as the point that you pick. It will not do any corner-pinning or anything to the user shape other than X-Y translations, so if your target object changes in any way, you will eventually wind up hand-animating it.
    Good luck.
