Adding 2 gmail accounts

Hello!
I have 2 gmail accounts and I add both on to the droid 2, However, when I click the gmail icon. It goes to setup accounts page. (where you see the myspace, email, twitter, etc...)
Why can't i see my emails now?

Edit: Got it working.

Can you log in to that site while in [[Private Browsing]] ?
If that works then you may have a problem with the current cookies or the disk cache, both are not use while you are in PB mode.
* "Clear the Cache": Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted. 
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlitecookies.sqlite-journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

I understand that there is a discrepancy in what you see for photo storage on your iPad. One step I would recommend in this situation would be to place your iPad into recovery mode and select Update when given the choice. This will not erase any of your content. The attached article doesn’t match your issue, but the troubleshooting steps I would suggest are similar.
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn on - Apple Support
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

EXTREME mail activity after adding GMAIL account to Mailboxes

HELP! Not so tech savy…need basic instructions please
Mail activity a little excessive - states progressively receiving 8330 emails.
Have just added GMAIL account to my MAILBOXES.
Have already changed MAIL > PREFERENCES > MAIL BOX BEHAVIOURS > unticked to all not store on the server….
NOT SURE WHERE TO TURN! Please help!

Hi, did you set it up as POP or IMAP?
It's normal that all eMail on the server will download to the computer you setup a new account on.

I am using a Macbook Air mid 2012 and an apple application "Mail". With only one email account (Yahoo), everything works perfectly. But the problem started when I added GMAIL account. Now it keeps on asking for my password for gmail and keychain.

With only Yahoo account in my Macbook Air "Mail", everything works perfectly. Problem started when I added my Gmail account. It keeps on asking my account and keychain passwords. And all my accounts always works offline.

It sounds like you may need to go into Mail>Preferences>Accounts and Complete setting up you Gmail account. It may not be finished being setup. For instance, note the line below to be selected from the drop down list in "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP", then "Edit SMTP Server List":

Cant add nor edit Contacts since added gmail account by google apps

Time ago I´ve used to have only 1 mail account set on my blackberry, a gmail account ([email protected]), and used the google sync (http://m.google.com/sync) to synchronize contacts between the smartphone and the webmail account. It has been working like a charm for a long time. At that time, I could create and edit contacts and the changes got synchronized in both sites.
A month ago I decided to create through Google Apps an email address with my own internet domain ([email protected]), and decided to add this email address to the smartphone to check both accounts. The first surprise came when I noted that adding this email address (following the procedure to add any email address) has caused the BB to activate it, like BES mode, against the gmail server.
Suddenly I discovered that I cant create nor edit contacts in BB, but I can in the webmail interface of the google apps email address. The contact created using the web interface is syncronized to the BB.
The issue is that I cant create nor edit contacts in the smartphone!
Have anyone experienced something similar to this?
Any idea will be greatly appreciated

Email not working since adding gmail account

Hello,
I added a 3rd Gmail account into my Apple email client.
Now, my rules don't work?
Emails with subject or from people should be automatically moved into folders, but this has stopped working.
I added some new rules today to test, and nothing happens.
Also, I manually move the emails into a folder and I have to move the email twice before the email disappears from my email inbox?
Please help.

I ended up trying everything listed. Nothing worked...then I found a listing that mentioned going onto the utilities and running Ping. I did this and shutdown the computer and returned a few hours later and voila...my program now works...I don't know which worked, but thank you everyone for your help. I've learned a few things in the process. I sure hope this doesn't happen again....it brings back horrible PC memories that I am trying to forget.

Problem with adding gmail account to Thunderbird

In an existing Thunderbird installation I added a gmail account. During this process when I was invited to enter a password I left the password blank because I did not want a password. When I go to access my gmail mail I get prompted for a password. If I don't enter a password or hit "cancel" nothing seems to happen. I am not receiving any test emails into the gmail account within Thunderbird.

Thunderbird stuck at 'checking password' when adding gmail account

I successfully added my gmail account to thunderbird on my windows pc but I'm not able to do so on arch.
On the windows pc I used the default setting thunderbird proposed, I tried the same on arch but without success...
The setup is stuck on 'checking password...'
Any advice?

I cannot believe the swiftness of your the help on this forum, within seconds you guys fixed the problem, and the account was added with no further issues. The people on this forum rock!!!!!
I am now beginning to suspect it indeed had to do with that first lot of wrong passwords.

Added gmail account synched with itunes lost ical

I was having trouble deleting gmail messages--- seemed like I was going in circles deleting them from one bin, then finding them in another and deleting them there, only to find them back in the original bin.
So I deleted my gmail account from my iPhone and set it up again. Then I synched my iPhone to my Apple laptop using iTunes. My phone gave me a message about deleting calendars and I thought that I was deleting one from my phone so I deleted it. Now I have no calendar events either on the laptop or on the phone.
Any way that I can recover my calendar events?

Yes it is now resolved but not after I send iTunes a request for help and explaining the problem. They send a first reply explaining how I needed to verify my account and gave me the link to do that. You and I know that this did not help, so I replied telling them that this was not working and iTunes did the reset for me.
You may want to open a help ticket with iTunes help. That is the only way it works.

Problem adding gmail account   with Exchange. Please help?

I have a 4s thru AT&T. I set up a mail account using GMail's server, then entered my gmail info, and it worked. However, my emails were not coming to the iPhone until I opened the mail app. In other words, I didn't hear a ding and alert that a new Gmail had arrived. Messages were NOT being pushed.
So I read up on this, and eveyone said to set up gmail via the EXCHANGE account,(not the gmail account) under Settings>Mail>Add Account>EXCHANGE now instead of gmail). If I set up my Gmail via Exchange, then I should get messages pushed.
So I did all that, and for the server, I entered m.google.com.   This setup is covered all over the place and looks easy. However, when I am done, and try to open/send anything, it says Cannot Get Mail. The connection to the server failed. Postitive that my names and passwords are right. No typos anywhere.
Gmail connects me fine when I add account via gmail.   But Gmail will not connect when I add account Via Exchange.

It should push by default, as Gmail is an iMAP account that supports push.   You could go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Fetch New Data and confirm that Push is set to On.
I have see a number of posts recently, however, about Gmail push not working for people. Suggest you search these forums or Googles support forum to see if there's a solution.

Problems adding gmail account

I am unable to add my gmail account to the Mail accounts. Ipad says the password to gmail is incorrect, but it is not. It works fine on my laptop. Any ideas?

This is what I did... Log on to gmail account on a laptop or computer. Go to Google-> accounts. There will be a list on the left side, click on Security. Scroll to the "connected applications and sites" and click on "Review permissions". That should take you to a screen which makes you enter your password. After you login with password, you will be taken to a page which has a box to enter a application name (for you to remember what it will be for-ie. iPhone 5S Gmail). Enter a name, click "generate password", then enter that password into the iPhone mail account password area. You will only have to do this once & do not need to remember the password for the future, as it recognizes the device now.

Adding Gmail accounts to Mail

I have yet to be able to get my two Gmail accouts to connect in Lion, despite following the ail Help directions Anyone else having this problem?

Here is what I did to resolve the problem:
In Mail/preferences/accounts/account information/ and at the bottom of the box there is a toggle arrow up and down to edit the outgoing mail server, check the box "use only this server" and hit this toggle button and select "edit SMTP Server List" at the very bottom of the email names.
Select Advanced tab. Correct and/or add usernames and passwords as needed for each email account. Be sure to select OK each time to get the passwords to hold! Some changes don't seem to hold unless you click OK before you move on.
To test: Window/activity (a little windows will pop up showing activity bars) and then "get mail" button. This should show any problems
Another test: window/connection doctor
This shouldl fix both pop and imap. so far it worked on yahoo, mobile me, gmail, hotmail, and others. Of course, you will need to know the incoming and outgoing mail server info, user name, and passwords.
Too bad we have to go though hoops to use an email program that used to work well. Worse yet, many may not know for days that their email isn't working.
This is easy method of setting up your email accounts but may not allow enough detail to make the mail accounts function properly in Mail 5.0:

I am try to add my gmaill account to my Torch 9800 but keep getting a message "Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password. If error persists, contact gmail.com."

From the device go to blackberry.com/integrate
and see if you can setup your email from there.
If this doesn't work, verify that you can access gmail on a computer using the same login / password.
If it works on the computer then Bell will have to assist with your email setup here:

Gmail Account in iMail - adding multiple exchange SMTP addresses to Gmail

Summary: I am trying to use my Gmail to send messages through iMail from my other addresses that I have added to my Gmail account successfully.
Detail:
I currently have 5 email addresses, and the most recent one I created was my Gmail address. Everything is working perfectly online with gmail and on my ipad - I can send and receive from each email address within my one email account, Gmail, BUT my computer is not happy. I am still willing to work with iMail as I have always enjoyed using it, however it will not allow me to send out emails through my Gmail account using my two email addresses that happen to be Exchange emails. My Pop and IMAP addresses that I have added to my Gmail account are fine and their SMTP addresses are working, but my two Exchange SMTP addresses are currently listed as "Offline" even though I have entered all the information that I think is correct, or is what I entered online in my Gmail account and they work perfectly fine there and also on my ipad. I just can't seem to get them to work in iMail. Everything else is synchronized and everything updates between my iMail, my iPad and the Gmail online account, and I have a feeling that it is just not possible to get the exchange accounts working on the iMail through Gmail. The two emails I am working with here are university emails that have their own addresses, but run through Windows live. So they are smtp.exchangelabs.com, but the actual domains are l.uky.edu and student.gsu.edu. I have been working on this all day so please let me know if you are able to help me in this struggle. I have also downloaded the Gmail notifier, so I will try it out, but I am still a fan of iMail.
Settings in iMail that are currently not working yet are working online with Gmail - in the account preferences under the advanced tab in iMail under the drop menu for SMTP outgoing server where it says "Edit SMTP server list" or something like that:
Server Name: smtp.exchangelabs.com
Advanced:
 Use Custom Port: 587
 SSL is NOT checked (it is TSL for my accounts)
 Authentication: Password
 username: <my entire email address at the domain>@student.gsu.edu
 password: <my password for that email address>

Yeah, this really stinks. The feature is definitely gone in iOS 4. I used it all the time in iPhone OS 3.x. You can still do it in Mail in OS X (the trick is to add extra the email addresses to your main email address, separated by commas. Those will then be available to reply with) but you can't on the iPhone. Even if you tell iTunes to sync your Mail Account info, it doesn't work.
That service seems like an interesting idea but 1) I don't want to send my mail to a third party, 2) I don't want to have to pay for what should be basic functionality, and 3) I shouldn't have to resort to a third-party for what appears to be a regression on Apple's part.
