Adding 7906 to CCM 4.1(3)SR3B

I am trying to add a 7906 into our environment but the 7906 isn't in the "Add Phone" drop down list, has anyone else this? I have run cmterm-7911_7906-sccp.8-0-4SR1.exe on our callmanagers but it doesn't change the list.

4.13 has had a few issues with this type of symptom. (no item in the drop down menu to choose)
upgrading to the latest SR when it is available may help you. (SR3D)
NOTE: i have just verified that SR3C does not contain the 7906 either.
this is what i had to do, with a different phone type; the 7985, and TAC confirmed it was the only way to get the option available.
(or you can autoRegister the device and then configure it properly once it is in the database; i chose to upgrade)
the only workaround you currently can use is to autoRegister the device, then configure it as you wish once it is in the database.

    I expect we need to add this command (sapccm4x -DCCMS pf=<> ) with same protocol to execute it with SAP start profile.

    I have added command and CCMS agent is also getting start with SAP startup.
    But when I execute command startsap ....like it shows message "database started";;"Instance Started", I am not getting any SAPCCMS agent startup message.
    Please suggest how can I get in startsap script SAPCCMS startup confirmation messge also. Does it require change in startsap script or we should some command protocol in startup profie for it.

  • CallManager 4.1(3)sr3b doesn't understand a specific H.225 cause id

    Hi all
    we have a costumer running CCM 4.1(3)sr3b with an 2811 voice gateway (c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.123-14.T7.bin). When they dial a mobile phone number that is disconnected from GSM network and with no forward to voice mail, the voice gateway receives from telco in the RELEASE_COMP message a "Cause i = 0x8294 - Subscriber absent" that is passed to Callmanager in a RELEASE_COMP message as "Cause i = 0x8094 - Subscriber absent". So far so good. The problem is that the ip phone user that place the outgoing call doesn't hear any disconnected signal. The call simply "disappears" from the phone. Any ideas?

  • Callerid for incoming call

    I have configured some clients number as CCM users so that we can easily find and call them from the Corporate Directory. Is it possible for these clients names to show up in the phone for incoming calls (from PSTN)?Some kind of lookup in LDAP...

    The callerinfo service from the SDK should help you get started. Unfortunately, adding users in ccm only populates the directory - the info shown on the display when making calls is taken from the lines, and I have no clue how ccm would react if you created dummy phones with dummy lines that have the proper number.. the name would probably still not be displayed since the call doesn't come from the line in question but a PSTN trunk.

  • #DEVICENAME# in URL button sends wrong device name

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to set up a service URL button that will allow users to logout of extension mobility without having to go into the Services button.
    I setup the following Phone Logout service:
    http://<IP Address>/emapp/EMAppServlet?doLogout=true&device=#DEVICENAME#
    If I access this from the services button, it works, but if I hit the URL line key it fails.
    I did an Ethereal trace, and found out it is sending the wrong device ID when it fails.
    bad logout url: SEP00016CEADFF0
    good logout url:SEP0013CED06212 (correct device name)
    Any ideas what might cause this? This is CCM 4.1(3)sr3b

    Check the registry entry of the Cisco CallManager Extension Mobility:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cisco SystemsInc.\DirectoryConfiguration\AppUsers\CCMSysUser.
    Make sure that an entry for "Password" exists and that the "UserID" is "CCMSysUser"
    If everything is set up correctly, perform a Stop and restart of Internet Information Service (IIS).

  • Query - Sharing single Input/output  FRS  across multiple CMS Cluster

    I have two BOE XI R2 SP3 servers on windows 2003r2 x64 which are with one BOE clustered, sharing file repository (FRS) on common NAS storage folders. Objective is to vertically scale BOE servers by adding more clusters on these two BOE servers. I wish to add few more clusters by adding CMS through CCM wizard option pointing to separate CMS db sachems.
    Can multiple CMS cluster share same FRS component with separate folder structure OR do I have to duplicate each BOE component per cluster basis.

    Hardware allocated for BOE is only 2 servers, and design is to maintain 3 separate environments( One change should not affect other). We wish to share Production, Testing and support BOE environments on same hardware.
    Only objective of maintaining multiple BOE cluster on same hardware is to provide non inter dependent BOE service to various user groups.

    Still running into problems? I've done this quite a few times with any glitches. Try upgrading the firmware on the 7985 to 4.1.2, I know that one works fine.

  • Cisco PA's route point problem

    I recognize the interceptor point, PA access number which need to setup CTI route point and are assigned with JTAPI user. However, the CTI route point in CCM always show "NOT FOUND". I have checked that the CCM and PA service components are up and running. So, Could anyone advise how I can trace the problem of CTI route point failure?

    Belows are the procedures.
    1) On CCM, create user with userid = "pauser" and assign the RPs and media ports with it.
    2) On PA > telephony, create one Jtapi (userid="pauser") and Skinny profiles.
    3) On PA > server configuration, select "Jtapi" profile for items Route Address Provider and Interceptor Port Provider. Add RP number to the route address field....etc
    Are there any traces, error logs or troubleshooting guide that I can follow to?

  • Telephone Number field when adding a new User - CCM 4.2.1

    Is their a way to automatically populate the telephone number field for a user? BAT does not allow this field to be added to the spreadsheet (phones-users). Thanks.

    The DN is for the actual line number of the IP phone, not the telephone number field which is stored with the User infromation. These can be independent; for example, I might make a user's actual DN 40001, but want the telephone number in the CallManager Corp Directory to be 5179840001. So, I can place the E.164 number in the Telephone Number field under the User page in CCM. Then, when a user looks up the number using the Directories button on the IP phone, the full E.164 number shows up for that particular user search instead of the 5-digit number which is helpful for offnet dialing and overlapping dial plans among remote sites.
    So, I am looking for a way to automactically populate the Telephone Number field for each user (not the line number of an actual IP phone).

  • [CCM 5.0/perfmon] Adding a counter for a none-existing instance

    Hello,
    I'm having the following issue with perfmon when adding a counter to a session (with perfmonAddCounter) :
    I'm trying to add this counter "\\ccm1\Thread(test)\% Processor Time" BUT the instance "test" does not exist on the server. I would expect to receive an error (like under CCM 4.2) but it's not the same behavior.
    And even worse : When I use perfmonCollectSessionData to collect the data, I'm getting an entry for this "gost" counter and its value is 0 and maked as good.
    The only way to workaround this is list all instances before adding the counter to check if the instance exists or not.
    Have you seen the same behavior ? Is it a bug ?

    I added a /CCM/URL kind of field but the system has changed it to string.

  • Adding 7921 phones in CCM 4.1.3sr2

    We have just received a demo 7921g phone and I want to add it into call manager, however my current version does not have 7921 telephones ad an available phone type. Does anyone know what the procedure would be to add 7921g phones in my version? Is it as simple as running cmterm-7921-sccp.1-0-2.exe?

    Hi Joe,
    Just to be clear, we are talking about two requirements here. You need to install the Device Package (see readme) to add support for the 7921 in CCM. Here is a clip of the install notes;
    Perform the following procedure to install Cisco Unified CallManager Device Package X.X.exe:
    1. Download the ciscocm-4-1-DevPack-X.X.exe file to your hard drive. Make a note of the location where you saved the file.
    2. Double-click on the downloaded file to begin the installation.
    3. Click Yes when the installation process displays a message that asks if you want to install this Device Package.
    4. The remainder of the installation process continues without any additional user input.
    5. Towards the end of the install it will prompt you "Update ALL devices firmware defaults?", (IMPORTANT) If you click "yes", it will change the default firmware load for all devices to the latest load packaged with this device pack, click "no" if you want to change the loads manually yourself later.
    Note: In order to change the loads manually, you do NOT need to reinstall this Device Package. The new files will be present in the C:\Program Files\Cisco\TFTPPath folder. Go to CCMAdmin->System->Device Defaults and manually change the name of the load file (for specific device(s)) to the new load and click UPDATE. Next, reset the affected devices for them to upgrade to the new load.
    The system will ask you if you want to view the logfile when the installation is complete.
    6. Verify that the installation completed successfully by taking the following actions:
    a. When the system prompts you to view the log file, if the number of errors listed in the dialog is "0", you can select No.
    b. If the number of errors detected was greater than 0, select Yes to view the logfile and scroll down to the end of the log file. The errors section at the bottom of the log file will be updated with a corresponding severity.
    c. Reset affected devices in order for them to obtain new firmware loads, or reboot the cluster.
    Note: If the TFTP server is a separate server from the Publisher, the Cisco TFTP service needs to be stopped and restarted on the TFTP server before performing this step, unless the cluster (including the TFTP server) is being rebooted.

    With the install of the devpak Step # 5 is very important. You probably don't want to change all of your existing phones firmware so be careful to answer NO if you don't want all models (7940/7960/7941/7961 etc) to have their default load updated.
    After the devpak has been installed you can do a separate Firmware upgrade on the 7921G.

    Here's the answer.
    In SE80, choose Class/Interface /CCM/CL_BSP_SCHEMA_MODEL, then under Atrribute double click GT_ASSIGNED_APPROVER.  Then on the Attributes tab untick the read only flag for attribute GT_ASSIGNED_APPROVER for associated type /CCM/T_APPROVER .

    The 'locale' parameter determines in which language the catalog content (for example product descriptions, category descriptions) is displayed.
    In addition to 'locale', you need to define the parameter 'SAP-LANGUAGE' in your call structure, e.g.:

    This parameter determines in which language the catalog user interface (for example buttons and field labels) is displayed. Defining this parameter as the SAP Field "SY-LANGU" (system variable) allows you to pass the logon language of the user to CSE. So, you don't have to create multiple call structures with Fixed Value's for 'SAP-LANGUAGE'.
    For the 'locale' parameter, I don't think you can define the language as SAP Field "SY-LANGU" (even though that would be nice :). However, you can still avoid creating multiple call structures with this parameter fixed, by implementing dynamic 'locale' determination in the BAdI BBP_CAT_CALL_ENRICH (e.g., if the user's logon language = "E", then 'locale' = "EN", if the user's logon language = "F", then 'locale' = "FR", etc.). If you do the BAdI determination, you don't need to include this parameter in the call structure.
